What are its modulesThe modules of  HIS can be classified into various categories. The primary category are as follows:Back office: In this category, patient is indirectly involved with the system.Front office: In this category, patient is directly involved with the system.
Patient RegistrationPatient demographics are captured in this module of HIS
At the time of patient registration, the system generates a unique MRN (Medical Registration Number)
Subsequently appointments can be generated / scheduled using MRNAppointment SchedulingAny appointment with the physician is scheduled via this moduleAdmission Discharge Transfer (ADT)
Admission Discharge Transfer(ADT)Admission: Patient admission details like purpose of admission, date of admission, admission department are captured.
Transfer: It describes the patient’s transfer to some other ward.
Discharge: Once patient leaves the hospital, the discharge details are captured and maintained in the system.
