Henry Ford (1863-1947) was an American industrialist and founder of Ford Motor Company. He introduced assembly line techniques for mass production and helped drive down the cost of cars, making them affordable for the average American. Some of his most notable accomplishments include introducing the Model T in 1908, which became the first car produced on moving assembly lines, and reducing the price of the Model T over time so that more people could purchase a car. Ford also received numerous patents over his career and helped revolutionize the automotive industry through principles of mass production.
