 The Ford Motor Company commonly referred to simply as "Ford" is
an American multinational automaker. It was founded by Henry Ford
and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles
and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand and most luxury cars
under the Lincoln brand. In the past, it has also produced tractors and
automotive components.

 He was an American captain of industry and a business magnate, the
founder of the Ford Motor Company, and the sponsor of the
development of the assembly line technique of mass production.
 Although Ford did not invent the automobile or the assembly line, he
developed and manufactured the first automobile that many middle-
class Americans could afford. In doing so, Ford converted the
automobile from an expensive curiosity into a practical conveyance
that would profoundly impact the landscape of the 20th Century.
 His introduction of the Model T automobile revolutionized
transportation and American industry.

4.  The Model T was introduced on October 1, 1908. It had the steering wheel on
the left, which every other company soon copied. The car was very simple to
drive, and easy and cheap to repair. It was so cheap at $825 in 1908 ($21,990
today) (the price fell every year) that by the 1920s, a majority of American
drivers had learned to drive on the Model T.

 By 1926, flagging sales of the Model T finally convinced Ford to
make a new model.
 Ford decided to suspend production for a few months to be able to
conclude as quickly as possible the construction of the model to
replace it.
 The result was the successful Ford Model A, introduced in December
1927 and produced through 1931, with a total output of more than
4 million.

 The creation of the assembly line by Henry Ford at his Highland Park
plant, introduced on December 1, 1913, revolutionized the automobile
industry and the concept of manufacturing worldwide.

9.  Parts were created in mass quantities and then brought directly to the
workers who were trained to work at that specific assembly station.
 This reduced the amount of time workers spent away from their
stations to retrieve parts.

 The immediate impact of the assembly line was revolutionary.
 The production time for a single car dropped from over 12 hours to
just 93 minutes due to the introduction of the assembly line.
 These concepts allowed Ford to increase his profit margin and lower
the cost of the vehicle to consumers.

 The assembly line is the primary mode of manufacturing in industry
today. Automobiles, food, toys, furniture, and many more items pass
down assembly lines worldwide before landing in our homes and on
our tables.
 While the average consumer does not think of this fact often, this 100-
year-old innovation by a car manufacturer in Michigan changed the
way we live and work forever.
