The World Economic Power And Its Impact On The Economy
In this book, Dobbs, Manyika, and Woetzel believe the world is almost constantly discontinued. Many
long held assumptions, long term projections, and long stand trends have been upended by disruptive
technologies, trends, and developments. A completely different world is being formed by four main
forces. The first force is the development of emerging markets and the growing urbanization within
these markets (Cooper, 2015). The world economic power is moving to east and south. As an example,
China is predicted to have most large companies located in rather than the United States or Europe by
2025. Equally important, economic activities are arising within these emerging markets. For instance,
a Chinese city Tianjin, who had a same size GDP ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The final power is the tighter global connection in capital, people, and information. The connection
between the countries has already become an intricate web from a series of lines simply connecting
core trading pivots of developed economies. The capital flows between emerging markets; the trades
between developing areas and the people crossed borders have all experienced a sharp increase.
Figure 1: Global connection has become a complex web (Neal, 2013).
In the end, the authors give an optimistic summary forecasting that the world will become richer,
healthier and more developed. The urbanization will be higher; the technology will also achieve a
higher level. There will be more innovations for challenges, more products and services for new
consumers and more opportunities for entrepreneurs. In their words, today is an age of recurring
miracles .
According to the given information about the authors at the back of the book, they three are all
scholars or doctors from Oxford, Stanford or the University of Southern California. Therefore, it can
be believed that they have clear ideas of the content of their book. However, there is an important fact
that the authors are all directors of McKinsey and of the McKinsey Global Institute. It is possible that
they write the book for business purposes because MGI is a business institute which provides
information to leaders in the commercial, public, and social

Analyzing Erikson s Psychosocial Stages Of Human Development
Erik Erikson s theory of psychosocial stages, is considered a significant concrete basis for
understanding human progression and development (Arnold, 2016)
This essay will identify two characters lifespan development stages from Erik Erickson s theory, and
further explain the relevance of the identified stages in accordance with the communication used
between the pair. From this communication further identifying and describing meta communication

Erickson s lifespan development stages are vital to the way the two characters Sean and the doctor
have communicated. Because both characters are at two various stages they both communicate
different. Sean for example is displaying negative factors of communication and this is resulting from
his psychosocial behaviour. This presenting stage of Sean entails communication that is immature and
appropriate for a small child having a tantrum, arguing with the doctor on what he thinks his best

He does not have the correct decision making tools to communicate efficiently for theoretical

The Effect Of Job Satisfaction On College Students
Abstract
Many studies and observations on job satisfaction as it relates to age is well known and continues to
be a rising trend in today s society. Job satisfaction is the contentment an individual feels while
working .There are so many effects and leading causes of satisfaction while working. This paper looks
into causes and effects within working college students and how to avoid job dissatisfaction while
attending college. While age may play a role in job satisfaction during college attendance, each
individual student handles working and studying differently. Maintaining positive job satisfaction
while attending college should be more positive and less stressful to all.

Compare And Contrast Fission Vs Fusion
My research team and I believe that fusion is better to put 10 billion dollars into rather than fission
because fusion is safer and more efficient. Joseph McClain from The College of William Mary
proceeds to say, The nice thing about a fusion reaction is that if somehow it would go out of control, it
would just stop itself automatically. If a fission reaction goes out of control, it can really go out of
control, you can t stop it and it actually might go into a nuclear meltdown. It s better to possess
something that will simply burn out itself provoking no infliction rather than producing something
comparable to fission that can generate a tremendous disaster and go into nuclear meltdown. Another
prominent example regarding how fusion is

National Public Health Performance Standards Program
In 1994 the Core Public Health Functions Steering Committee at the Center for Disease Control
(CDC) released a list of 10 Essential Public Health Services ( The Public Health System, 2014). This
was an essential step towards making established public health organizations accountable and giving
new programs a framework on which to develop from. This list outlines the foundation for the
National Public Health Performance Standards Program. The ten essential public health services
provide a way to assess the impact of these programs. This paper will explore and analyze case studies
and the essential public health services they represent.
Case One surrounds the issue of water fluoridation. The process of water samples being submitted for
testing each month was described, along with which public health sectors the results are reported to.
Krisberg states that the parameters for water fluoridation levels were first established in 1962. She also
reports that the level of fluoride established at that time was 1.2 milligrams per liter. In 2015 this level
was reduced to 0.7 milligrams per liter (Krisberg, 2015).
Many of the ten essential public health services can be seen in the details of the first case study. The
instance described in case one correlates most closely to the sixth essential public health service to
enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety (American Public Health
Association, n.d.). This case study was a prime example of how the public

ENGL 102 Reflective Essay
When August rolled around the corner I started to get nervous and excited about taking ENGL 102
Research Writing, nervous because writing isn t my strong point and excited because it would mean
learning something new. I have heard the horror stories from other students about writing ten page
papers and couldn t fathom the idea of having to write about one topic for ten pages long. I remember
when I first looked at the syllabus and felt quite over whelmed. After about a month into the class I
realized it wasn t so bad after all, and really started to understand the whole concept of writing based
off of research. Through exercises, reading, and discussion boards it was all starting to make sense.

It s good to pick a topic that you can actually find information on. If the topic you pick doesn t have
any information on it, it ll be hard to write a ten page paper on it. This brings you to the next step,
which would be finding information or sources on the topic that you choose. I have learned there are
five main types of sources: primary sources which presents original words of a writer, secondary
sources which analyzes somebody else s work, objective sources which uses experiments/survey
results, subjective sources which uses blogs and essays, and living sources from in person interviews
or phone calls. When you are finding sources I have learned that there are unstable sources out there. I
figured taking information from a website that wasn t reliable wasn t really the best thing to do but I
never knew it as an unstable source. I now know to use sources from websites like end with .org, .edu,
or .gov. The internet has so many endless and pointless information that it can be really easy to get off
task. It s easier to stay on task if you go straight to websites that have reliable information. When
finding sources it is equally important to start making a

H. J Mccloskey s Article On Being An Atheist
H. J. McCloskey, an atheist author, wrote an article titled On Being an Atheist which explains why he
is an atheist, his views on God, and why He believes that being an atheist is more comfortable and
reasonable than believing in Christianity. While arguing against the proofs within the cosmological
argument and teleological argument, McCloskey does not acknowledge the ontological argument. He
then goes on to say how belief in God is not necessary and living by faith is irrational. My goal of this
paper is to examine his article, point out the flaws, and prove that his arguments do not prove atheism
to be true. McCloskey refers to proofs as an argument that favors God but cannot make a case for
God. He then goes on to argue that those proofs should not be used and discarded. Dr. Foreman,
however, suggested the accumulative case approach, which tells us to collect the proofs and evidence
that says God, in fact, exists. One main reason that we cannot be one hundred percent sure when we
say that God exists is the possibility of us being wrong. On one hand, Dr. Foreman argues that things
that take place around us are evidence of God. However, McCloskey says that the case for God cannot
be proved through Christianity. In response to McCloskey, we believe in many things that are unseen
but have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These arguments both refer to a creator of some sort whether that is God or another outside force. The
teleological argument, however, suggests that there is purpose within the order of the universe.
McCloskey believes that both arguments, the cosmological and teleological arguments, cannot prove
that God is the ultimate designer. He also claims that there is not enough, if any, proof of a designer.
To counter his argument, I would argue that there is not enough proof to prove that there is not a
creator however, not one side can be absolutely sure that they are completely

The Importance Of Intervention From The Arctic Council
The Arctic contributes a distinctive region which combines a unique biosphere and a wealth of natural
resources, which often become a source of controversy. This paper will argue that the significant
climate changes which are taking place in the Arctic Region open new pathways for economic
opportunism for Russia, which calls for radical intervention from the Arctic Council. Firstly, this case
study will give a framework of the main theory which will be used throughout in order to justify the
importance of intervention from the Arctic Council. The main theorist used is Oran Young, who
provides an agenda in how institutions such as the Arctic Council should function effectively in the
Arctic. Moreover, the climate changes which are taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, through institutionalism, one can understand that the lack of intervention from non state
actors contributes to this idea of economic logic over environmental sustainability. Arguably based on
institutionalism the European actors in the Arctic, which are familiar with intervention from
institutions, are influenced for instance by UNEP when it comes in to make a decision in the specific
area. Consequently, this is helpful to understand why a state such as Russia is more economically and
military antagonistic and less prone to cooperate with the other seven states of the area over the
natural resources in the Arctic.
Institutionalism is a theory which bases its principles of the idea that there is a need for stronger global
institutions and norms as well as sufficient state and local capacity to constrain and direct the global
political economy (Clapp and Dauvergne, 2011, 7). More specifically, the ideas of institutionalism do
not set aside ideas such as global economic growth and foreign investment in areas of extreme wealth
in natural resources such as the Arctic. Nonetheless, they simultaneously underline the importance of
environmental sustainability which is succeeded through the setting of institutional norms which will
channel a better environmental management in addition to sustainable growth. As mentioned in the
work of Oran Young, a political scientist

Evolution Of The Common Cold
Introduction The history of mankind is intricately woven with the planet we live on, but is perhaps
even more dependent upon micro organisms. While people often think that micro organisms are scary
and cause sickness, there are several of these beneficial organisms that are more common than the
common cold. Saccharomycetes Cerevisiae is one of these organisms and has been in use by humans
for millennia. The evolution of this micro organic life form has been highly guided by the hand of
humanity to suite several specific purposes that our species has, and still does, use this yeast for.
History and Uses of Saccharomycetes Cerevisiae While it is still relatively speculative when human
kind first began its interactions with S. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cerevisiae has undergone genetic modification to do some pretty wild things. Morphine, codeine,
tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and other cannabinoids can now be synthesized from precursor
chemicals using GMO S. Cerevisiae. THC and other cannabinoids can be produced by engineered
yeasts, which have the same functions and chemistry as those from the plant, but are FDA approved
for medical uses, while the plant itself is not (Khamsi, 2015).
Engineered s. cerevisiae with a reconstituted 7 gene pathway is feasible for the synthesis and
production of codeine and morphine from (R) reticuline (Fossati, et.al, 2015). S. cerevisiae cells fed
(R) reticuline, salutaridine or codeine as substrates showed that all enzymes were functionally co
expressed in yeast and that activity of salutaridine reductase and codeine O demethylase likely limit
flux to morphine synthesis (Fossati, et.al, 2015). This study describes a significant advance for S.
cerevisiae and paves the way for complete synthesis of substances not naturally produced by
microbes. Morphine alkaloids are narcotic analgesics and the most powerful naturally produced
alkaloids used to treat severe and chronic pain.
Capturing and Propagating Yeast In order to study the evolution of yeasts, they must be captured and
propagated. The process for doing so is rather simple; a juice or slightly sweetened drink, such as a
tea, is left open to the air with a loose filter, such as cheesecloth, for a day or two. Once signs of

With practical aesthetics the actor breaks the scene down into four parts, the literal, the want, the
essential, and the as if. With each part there is something the actor can do to make the character better
for them to act as. First is the literal. For the literal, the actor is looking for what actually happens in
the scene. For example, in the movie Wreck It Ralph, when Ralph wrecks Vanellope s car, Vanellope
is extremely upset with Ralph. Second is the want. For the want, the actor is looking for what the actor
actually wants. Another example from Wreck It Ralph is that Vanellope wants to be in the race, while
Ralph doesn t want her game to be shut off because of Vanellope s glitching. Another word for it is the
essential. Last is the as if. For the as if, the actor is looking for how the essential action is relatable to
the actor. The example would be when Vanellope is upset in Wreck It Ralph, the actor would simply

Choosing A Major And An Idea Of A Career
Choosing a major and an idea of a career you want to pursue, is not an easy choice. There is a lot of
thinking that goes into deciding what you want to study and what you want to become in the future.
Most people are not positive even once they have entered college as to what it is for sure they want to
do. This MyPlan assessment was extremely informative in what my skills were and how I could use
them. Going to the Career Center on February 5 really helped me to understand what my results meant
and what I could take out of this assessment. We took four tests, a personality, personal interest, skills,
and values test. For my personality test report, there were 4 different categories looked at to come up
with a combined census of what my personality is. You were either, extroverted or introverted, sensor
or intuitive, thinker or feeler, and judger or perceiver. My results showed that I was ESTJ. Which
means that I am extroverted, sensor, thinker, and a judger. Extroverts basically respond very well to
social gatherings and like to be around people. They are usually very talkative and tend to work well
in teams. Sensors seek specific answers to specific questions. Usually they do not have a very wide
imagination and are more realistic. Thinkers believe that it is important to be right and honest with
themselves than it is to be liked. A thinker seeks fairness and tend to be tough minded. Judgers
appreciate organizations, punctuality, order, schedules, etc. Judgers tend to

Stability In Brave New World
The novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley under takes the cost of stability, and explores what is
sacrificed for utopia. London is one of the many utopian societies in the Brave New World, built on
the values of Community, Identity, and Stability. In a contradictory fashion the outlier, Identity, is
sacrificed for stability. Society and class structure, are devoid of identity and community, a stable
system built for the superficial pleasures of life and control at the cost of freedom. This debate of cost
vs benefits is the philosophical battle the characters endure in the Brave New World. Through the
revelations and experiences the characters face, stability and cost of it are not worth the results.

Science provides truth, sometimes uncomfortable truths; science is outlawed because of the truth
seeking ideology, not the science that enables the world controllers build their utopia. We don t want
to change. Every change is a menace to stability. That s another reason why we re so chary of applying
new inventions. Every discovery in pure science is potentially subversive; even science must
sometimes be treated as a possible enemy. Yes, even science. (154). Science threatens the utopian
society; it can provide views and facts that contradict the world state. A society that outlaws science
can never grow and will fail to progress, the reason for stability is for effective progress but it is no

How Associability Is Defined As The Links And Connections...
Associability is defined as the links and connections made between a stimuli and a response. There
have been many theories discussing what aspects of associability make it successful and what can be
done to clarify precisely how it works in an out of experiment setting. Two predominant theories are to
be discussed with compelling evidence for two very different explanations of associability and how its
change can be explained.
The first of these two theories is N.J. Mackintosh (1975). He refers to many past theories of attention
and how they are not suitable for discussing the associability of stimuli with reinforcement
(Mackintosh, 1975, p. 276) stating his new theory answers some unqualified assumptions. Previous
theories of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These relationships also interact with the second assumption he finds made by previous theories; that
stimuli compete for attention (Mackintosh, 1975, p.281). His discussion of overshadowing and
blocking, which I shall discuss later, lead him to his conclusion of relevance, where more attention is
paid to relevant stimuli and less to irrelevant stimuli such as where the stimuli only leads to a
predicted reinforcement (Mackintosh, 1975). Both this conclusion and the former, where change of α
potential leads to a change in performance in an experiment have large impacts for associability. They
appear to imply that in cases of associative change where a subject s focus switches from one thing to
another, it is not the case that they do not have the mental capacity to focus on both things but they
merely attend to those that provide it with its most rewarding option (ibid.).
Mackintosh s conclusions have drawn support, in particular M.E. LePelley and I.P.L. McLaren (2003).
They apply Mackintosh s theory to humans in an experiment where after being given a list of potential
allergens and outcomes, subjects are to assess which foods they feel a fictitious Mr. X. (LePelley and
McLaren, 2003, p.72) should avoid. The second stage involves Mr. Y. (ibid.) and based on previous
associations made, subjects are asked to assess for him too. Mackintosh s (1975) predictions would be

Essay On Copyright Laws
Copyright laws in regards to music should be repealed. The RIAA has misconstrued the perceived
effects staring had on artist development and revenue, when in fact the perceived financial short
comings of downloading and peer to peer sharing are actually made up through concert revenue and
merchandise revenue. It is important to take a look into the perceived effects done by the RIAA. The
RIAA claim that file sharing reduces sales, with estimated displacement rates ranging from 3.5% for
movies (Rob and Waldfogel 2007) to rates as high as 30% for music (Zentner 2006). But on the

forms of music sharing, such as eliminating centralized indexes, and thus give the site owner s
immunity because they cannot claim to know that users are sharing copyrighted material. This type of

claims are valid. Zettner lays out three conditions that need to hold true for less certain rights to

The Bell Jar Feminism
The Bell Jar: The Strain of Societal Expectations on the Feminine Psyche I saw myself sitting in the
crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I couldn t make up my mind which of the figs I

as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped
to the ground at my feet. (Plath 73)
The Bell Jar illustrates the growing feminist itinerary prevalent during Cold War America by
describing Esther Greenwood, and Plath s own descent into madness. Linda Wagner has described The

She goes through many instances in which the most sane of people would not be able to return
unscathed. But we as readers refuse to credit her misfortune because of our own insecurities and the
constraints society has set upon us, even today. Esther Greenwood lives and copes with a mental
illness in this book, and that is not something most people are comfortable with. We try to rationalize
her actions, stating that she is just pressured by those around her, or her feminist views are what cause
her troubles. The reality is a culmination of multiple factors, some of which are unexplainable. Very
much like Salinger s Catcher in the Rye, Esther s story is taken with varying levels of sympathy and
understanding. Many would see her as the typical brooding teenager, one who makes mountains out of
molehills. She is unbelievably privileged, especially for the time in which her story takes place. One
could say that she has it all, even more. But who are we to decide what is big and what is small? Who
are we to decide what classifies one s feelings as worthy of the label of illness or just simply
disagreeable? The Bell Jar is indeed an important bildungsroman, because it opens discussion to harsh
realities of life, ones in which many are unwilling to face. This unwillingness could have meant the
end for Esther Greenwood; her mother being embarrassed of her daughter s condition,

Aquinas Argumentative Structure
Additionally, the structure for all the five ways that Aquinas presented had similar argumentative
structure. First, an empirical fact is introduced which would lead to a conclusion which proved a
transcendent cause that relied upon these facts (35). A transcendent cause is a cause that is not a part
of the physical world but offers explanation of the existence and occurrences of this world (35).
Aquinas believed we did not understand God s essence, so he made the conclusion that God s
existence was not self evident to us, but it could be proven. Therefore, as stated earlier, he uses the
observation of motion to prove that God s lack of existence would be demonstrably false rather than
self contradictory (35). However, Aquinas argument

A Google Search For The Term Muslim Women
A Google search for the term Muslim women greatly illustrates the impression and image of Islam in
western society; the page fills with pictures of women in coverings, most prevalently head to toe black
with just their eyes visible, with several women depicted in fetters. This shows the way the western
eye interprets Muslim women constantly oppressed by the patriarchal, Islamic religion; however, it is
also a representation of the perceived strangeness of a society not entrenched in our beliefs. The
controversy of Muslim veiling is highly affected by western ideals, and discourse is often based in
Islamophobia; also, veiling s stance in feminism is often misconstrued as either a guise for racism, or
ignorance of non western interpretations of liberation.
The controversy of Muslim veiling, even in Middle Eastern countries, is often interpreted through a
western lens, with a focus on the concept of modernity. Besides from citing issues of patriarchal
discrimination with the veil, Islamic feminists argue for their unveiling as an acceptance of modern
times and more progressive society, claiming that the veil is tied to politics rather than religion;
women who see it as a political symbol say that, unveiled, they can avoid the religious extremism and
racial separatism associated with it (Read and Bartkowski 93).
However, this claim of modernism is a way of attacking the non western tradition of veiling; many of
the same beliefs for the usage of the veil are commonly

Technology Has Great Potential For Improving Animal...
Biosensor technology has great potential for improving animal welfare, health and production
efficiency. The recent increasing incidence of diseases, such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy
(BSE), tuberculosis, brucellosis, mastitis, and foot and mouth, has raised concern in the livestock
industry and in society. Infectious diseases of livestock have major implications not only in animal
welfare and production efficiency but also in human health, and food safety and quality.
Most biosensor developments have been in the biomedical field, where many in vivo applications
demand small sizes. But it is lacking adversely in the field of milking animals and other livestock. The
primary considerations of biosensors were the physical sensor design, fluid transport, optical sensor
configuration, fluid mixing, sampling of the raw milk, and automation. The ideal biosensor would be a
probe, similar to that found in a pH meter. Since the standard enzyme immunoassay identification of
progesterone (EIA) is currently performed and standardized using microtitre plates. This technique was
a starting point and need Ab raised against other innocent animals. Therefore there is an urgent need
for development of artificial and low cost recognition sites for progesterone detection.

progesterone level in plasma and milk decreases during follicular phase, which usually commences 17

Automated measurements of mitochondrial transport in hippocampal and cortical neurons.
Mitochondria are transported to synapses by kinesin motor proteins. We have recently described
methodologies for the automated analysis of fast mitochondrial transport from data acquired using a
robotic microscope. We focused on addressing questions of measurement precision, speed, reliably,
workflow ease, statistical processing, and presentation. With it, we are able to generate complete
descriptions of movement profiles in an automated fashion of hundreds of thousands of mitochondria
with a processing time of approximately one hour. We also described the calibration of the parameters
of the tracking algorithms and demonstrate that they are capable of measuring the fast transport of a
single mitochondrion. We then show that the methods are capable of reliably measuring the inhibition
of fast mitochondria transport induced by the disruption of microtubules with the drug Nocodazole in
both hippocampal and cortical neurons. While proteins, RNAs and vesicles as well as mitochondria
are transported to synapses, our automated analysis methodology will be useful for assessing the effect
of compounds in modulating transport of mitochondria, a key cargo of kinesin relevant for synaptic
plasticity and implicated in several neurodegenerative

Case Study Of Lotte Lacto King
Introduction to the Study
The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that led to the declining of a brand which was
once doing very good. The study also aims to measure the brand equity of the chosen brand and then
to do a segmentation and positioning analysis of the brand. Finally, the study aims to recommend an
STP strategy for the brand. The brand that I have chosen for the study is Lotte Lacto King.
To achieve the purpose, a Focus Group Discussion was conducted which helped in identifying various
variables. Using these variables, a questionnaire was developed to understand the perception of the
consumers about the brand. A diverse group of approximately 100 consumers was chosen to get the
response. The next step involved running a factor analysis on the data collected and arriving at core
factors. The Brand Equity was measured next and a STP strategy is recommended.
The Brand under consideration, reasons for choosing the Brand

Gender Codes in SELF Magazine Essay examples
An Ideal SELF Woman?
Americans live in culture full of numerous gender codes. Gender codes are imaginary rules of how
males and females should live and are created within America by the media such as TV shows,
movies, billboards, magazines, and advertisements. In Gender Codes in the American Culture , Jack
Solomon and Sonia Maasik believe that Gender codes are socially, not naturally, constructed, and
usually reflect cultural values rather than natural facts (476). This supports that the media creates
gender codes because it is the main method in which cultural values are presented. They present what
is accepted to be masculine and feminine in America at the time, and society follows these
generalizations of what it means to be a man ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
SELF uses the images and the contents of their advertisements and articles to send out this idea to
their readers.
The advertisements in the magazine do a great job of idealizing the well rounded woman. The
advertisement on page 154 for women s footwear shows three women on the top of a mountain with
the slogan Smart, stylish gear for crossing borders, chasing adventure and embracing life. This
idealizes women who try new things and get adventurous by telling them that if they do, they get to
see great things and experience what they ve been always been dreaming about and they get to see
spectacular views such as the mountains in the photograph. By insinuating that when you travel you
are embracing life , it gives the negative connotation that if you don t travel and sightsee, that you are
missing out on life and that your life is boring otherwise.
An advertisement in the magazine for PowerBar also works to idealize the healthy and happy women.
They show a pretty and younger woman with a huge grin on her face, implying that she s happy and
her life is great because she s staying healthy by eating nutritious PowerBar foods. It also includes the
slogan Be great right next to the PowerBar trademark and the text How does your snack complete you,

The Conflict Between Dinamo Zagreb And Red Star
Yugoslavia in the 20th century underwent great political turmoil, unrest, war, and ethnic conflicts.
Throughout the existence of this unstable nation, soccer was the most popular sport with the most
devout supporters. The sport and its various teams held strong ties to the political structure of
Yugoslavia, being run and controlled often by government institutions. It is for this reason that soccer
in Yugoslavia can serve as a political barometer to understand the underlying concerns, ideologies, and
conflicts that occurred in the country in the 20th century. Not does the sport mimic the political history
of the nation, it was often tied directly to political parties and ideologies. This essay will look into the
inception, rise, and eventual demise of Yugoslavia through the perspective of soccer and its role in all
of it. In particular, the focus will be on the most popular teams in present day Serbia, Red Star
Belgrade and FK Partizan and their rivalry, as well as the role of the Bosnian club Velez. Furthermore,
the clash between Dinamo Zagreb and Red Star will be shown as a catalyst for the following war of
independence. Some contrast to the division and antagonism will be shown by looking closely at the
Yugoslav national team following World War II.
Initially one must look to politically charged club teams in Yugoslavia, such as Red Star Belgrade and
FK Partizan. The history of these teams and their formation is important to consider. At the end of
World War II, most

Hurricane Rubin Carter Analysis
The instrumentation and the nature of the lyrics link Hurricane back to a larger tradition of folk music.
The song combines aspects of typical folk and rock music in a particular kind of electrified that is
commonly associated with Dylan, as well as a distinct ballad form, offering the narrative of a
particular event in Rubin Carter s life. The instrumentation includes Scarlet Rivera s fiddle, acoustic
guitar, vocals, electric bass, and drums. All of these instruments, save for electric bass, are
characteristic of folk performance. Nonetheless, the driving rhythm of the song makes it often

Some of the most important figures of this chapter in the development of folk music were Woody
Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Alan Lomax. In 1928, Charles Seeger and Ruth Crawford Seeger, Pete
Seeger s father and step mother, along with John Lomax and his son Alan, began the Archive of
American Folk Song at the Library of Congress, not only working to transcribe traditional songs that
were at risk of disappearing, but they also encouraged the development of folk music as a tool for
radical politics. This anthology of music would later help inspire Bob Dylan and others during the folk
revival of the 1960s. This chronicling of folk music was all part of this rise of collectivist folk music
at a time in which leftist politics wanted to produce a cultural identity in America for the folk before
the power of corporate America. Some of the folk anthems of this time were songs like This Land is
Your Land , recorded Woody Guthrie in 1944, or Which Side Are You On? , originally by Florence
Reece in 1931 and recorded by the Almanac Singers in 1941. Both of these songs play into the
collective ideas of the time by drawing the listener into the story of the song. Additionally, both songs
serve as vehicles for political protest. This Land is Your Land can be seen as somewhat of a rallying

Erikson s Theory Of Psychosocial Development
My Reflection of Erikson Erik Erikson was a developmental psychologist known for his theory of
psychosocial development. Unlike other theorists of his time Erikson s theory focused on human
development across the lifespan from birth to late adulthood. Erikson believed that development
change occurs throughout our lives in eight distinctive stages that emerge in a fixed pattern and are
similar for all people. Erikson argued that each stage presents a crisis or conflict which results in either
a positive or negative outcome (Feldman p.16). In this essay I will identify incidents in my own life
that demonstrate each stage of development according to Erikson that I have lived through. I will also
interview my Aunt Tami, who will share her experiences for the remainder of the stages of Erikson s
development that I have not gone through thus far. Erikson s first stage of development is the Trust
versus Mistrust stage that occurs from birth till 18 months of life. According to Erikson this is the
period in which infants develop a sense of trust or mistrust, depending largely on how well their
caregivers meet their needs (Feldman p. 187). During this stage of my life I was being taken care of by
both Mom and Dad, but primarily by Mom. My Mom was a stay at home parent while my Dad
worked. Both my parents went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed food, shelter,
clothes and most importantly love and affection. Through my positive experience in this stage I

Critique of a Website Essay
Critique of a Website
Web sites are just like magazines, newspapers, brochures, menus, or even directions on how to make
nitroglycerin from house hold goods, in that they all have to be put together in such a manner that
whoever is reading or browsing over it will be able to clearly distinguish this from that. In this sense, a

Is its layout so erratic in such a way as to render the viewer blind because of the designers lack of

critiquing, and like a Choose Your Own Adventure Book one can skip to another section with almost
no fear of being inquisitioned, does its links lead to somewhere meaningful?

with alt typed across it. Nice. Let me go off on a tangent here: I

Classic Is A Classic Essay
Mark Twain, a renowned eighteenth century writer, once said that a classic is something everyone
wants to have read yet no one wants read; those words have never been more true today. Most novels
that are considered classics, especially during their time of release, seem to have a universal theme of
not receiving positive recognition. However, as time went on, people found themselves developing a
taste for such heart tugging tales. Classical novels, because of the language in which they were
written, contain ideas and build skill sets like no other novel today;due to, the originality and
uniqueness of the plot, eternal truths and unrealistic themes, and benefits gained from reading them.
A novel is not dubbed a classic simply based on the number of printings it has undergone or the
languages it has been translated into. Nor is it called a classic because some ... Show more content on

Coincidentally, much of the plot tends to come from personal experiences the authors themselves have
faced. For example, in Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice, the character Mr. Darcy was based on
Austen s own ill fated love. If a classical novel could have been written twice, then it would have no
chance of withstanding the tests of time. One would eventually overshadow the other. All classics
share the accomplishment of overcoming the obstacles that come with an ever changing world. The
works of Bronte, Austen, Hardy, Tolstoy, and Wilde are all classics; however, not one is the same as
the other. Despite those who have tried to recreate them with nonsensical parodies, The classics are
classics because they are foolproof. Plagiarism enhances them.... A classic, therefore, sustains its
impact over time, regardless of the ways in which it is or might be adapted. The uniqueness of most
classical novels come from the fact that centuries after their publication, they have yet to finish what

The Rule Of Nerva And Rise Of Trajan
97 98 CE: The Rule of Nerva and Rise of Trajan
The years 97 and 98 CE marked an important turning point in Roman history, as it marked the
beginning of the Period of the Five Good Emperors which lasted for 83 years. During the years of 97
and 98 CE, many important events occurred. Marcus Cocceius Nerva, simply called Nerva, was made
emperor in 96 CE, and ruled until his death in the January of 98 CE. Under his rule, many new laws
and systems came into existence. Nerva s first order of business was the correction of all of the
previous emperor s mistakes. Before Nerva was emperor Domitian, a very harsh and authoritarian
ruler who was under the impression that the Senate was trying to undermine his power. Because of
this, emperor Domitian had hundreds of traitors in the Senate imprisoned. During his reign as emperor
in 97 and 98 CE, Nerva released anyone who was on trial for treason and invited back politicians ...

Essay On Post Operative Risk Management
What pre/peri/post operative risk management strategies will you utilize with this patient and why?
Female patients diagnosed with anxiety, depression and past chronic pain are at increased risk of
developing chronic post surgical pain (1). Studies have shown high preoperative anxiety and female
gender are the two major risk factors of developing acute postoperative and post chronic surgical pain
(1). Several strategies can be used to reduce the patient s anxiety and the incidence of developing
acute post operative chronic pain. At the consultation appointment, the clinician should address patient
s attitudes and concerns, educate the patient on the dental procedure, and identify the procedures that
are likely to cause severe pain (1).
Studies show chronic post surgical pain is associated with poor surgical technique, increased time of
surgery, and operations with high risk of nerve injury (1). One may consider the use of cone beam
topography to map the inferior alveolar nerve and its proximity to the tooth in question. This patient
should also be treated by an oral surgeon as they are highly trained and efficient in exodontia. The

Employment Decision Of Will Roberts
Employment Decision of Will Roberts When a person is in the military, they have to make some very
important decisions as they rise in the ranks. Often it is hard to get management to agree with you, due
to the fact that some managers want all the glory. Through an open door policy program, bargaining,
and negotiations a mission can be accomplished more successfully.
Employment Decision Choice Fort Sill, Oklahoma sends out around 2,000 basic training Soldiers on a
two week vacation during the Christmas and New Year s Holiday. It is the job of the Fort Sill
Emergency Operations Center to assist in the logistics and tracking of all these Soldiers from the base
to the bus station or airport. Every two hours after this mission begins, it is a requirement to send out a
PowerPoint presentation on the location numbers of each Soldier.
This is difficult if you do not know exactly what the Colonel wants to send to the Commanding
General of the base. The Colonel had an open door policy, but as a courtesy a person needs to talk to
his direct supervisor first. We changed the slides so often during the departure of the Soldiers that my
fellow coworkers got frustrated. One of the main reasons because lack of information and correct
communication information between us, the Colonel, and the organizational representatives (both at
the base, on the buses, and at the airport). These representatives were supposed to call us after a bus
left the base, arrived at the bus station or airport,

Reasonable Occupation Review Paper
Effects of the Realistic Job Previews on Employees Job Satisfaction
Abstract
Reasonable occupation review (RJP) is the presentation of data both positive and negative given to the
forthcoming representative about the occupation and the association. The data gave is expected to give
the practical picture of the association. The part of the data stream is to touch base at a phase where
the desires of the representative and the candidate match. It is being contended that representatives
who are given RJP s amid the enlistment and determination process have higher occupation
fulfillment. Along these lines, the point of this study is to distinguish the connections between
practical work sneak peaks and worker work fulfillment in the associations. ... Show more content on

It is made helpful by utilizing both formal and casual techniques. Its convenience can be surveyed if
the association discovers workforce, which coordinates its necessities.Better enlistment strategies give
an upper hand to the association (Kecia, and Gail, 1999). One of the striking elements of an enlistment
procedure is the capacity to influence an applicant (Quinetta, Collins and Oreg, 2005). It imparts
looked for after and ugly parts of the employment to the occupation candidate before he/she makes a
choice to acknowledge the occupation offer (Champnoise, 2004). Great RJPs give a complete
depiction of the employment (O Nell et al., 2001). It is meant to guarantee that gainful and able
candidates must join the association with a long haul responsibility to the association (Champnoise,
2004). It is normal that a great job practical sneak peak can help in lessening the turnover and the
employing cost (O Nell et al., 2001). RJPs are proposed to give practical employment data. On the off
chance that the data is excessively negative, then it would withhold the possibility to join the
association (Quinetta, Collins, and Oreg, 2005). The data gave ought to be adjusted both positive and
negative data, and the excessively positive data is unsafe for an association (Morse, 2007). RJPs are
given in different configurations and through various strategies (Champnoise, 2004). In any case, it is
too imperative that the

Innovation In Ww1
Tanks
Jack Elmes
How did tank innovation impact warfare and the soldiers who fought in the trenches during World War
One?
World War One was known as the First World War or The Great War. It began on the 28th of July
1914 and lasted until the 11th of November 1918. Thirty countries were involved in the war. Over nine
million soldiers died and twenty one million were wounded. Undeniably World War One was one of
the biggest and most devastating wars in history. Trench warfare took those who signed up by
complete surprise. A war that was intended to be all about movement became stagnant. Soldiers were
very much stuck in the trenches and experienced horrendous conditions. As a result the use of
terrifying new technologies not used before were created in a response to the conditions of trench
warfare. This resulted in trench warfare being changed forever due to the introduction of the tank in
1915.
It has been stated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tank was the first armored machine to be used. It was adapted from tractors and its goal was to
break through the heavily fortified trenches and offer protection to the troops from any artillery fire.
British engineering was the origin of the first WW1 Landship , which became the tank as we now
know it. Tanks were a very important part of WW1 as they increased mobility on the front line and
broke the stalemate of trench warfare. The first tank ever used in military conflict was at the battle of
Flers Courcelette in September 1916. The first prototype tank came out in 1915 by the British it was
called little Willie, weighed 14 tons and could only travel at two miles per hour. This tank was not
used in warfare. Big Bertha was the most famous tank it had a 48 ton gun capable of firing a shell over
9 miles. It took 200 men several hours to assemble the gun.

  • 2. The World Economic Power And Its Impact On The Economy In this book, Dobbs, Manyika, and Woetzel believe the world is almost constantly discontinued. Many long held assumptions, long term projections, and long stand trends have been upended by disruptive technologies, trends, and developments. A completely different world is being formed by four main forces. The first force is the development of emerging markets and the growing urbanization within these markets (Cooper, 2015). The world economic power is moving to east and south. As an example, China is predicted to have most large companies located in rather than the United States or Europe by 2025. Equally important, economic activities are arising within these emerging markets. For instance, a Chinese city Tianjin, who had a same size GDP ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The final power is the tighter global connection in capital, people, and information. The connection between the countries has already become an intricate web from a series of lines simply connecting core trading pivots of developed economies. The capital flows between emerging markets; the trades between developing areas and the people crossed borders have all experienced a sharp increase. Figure 1: Global connection has become a complex web (Neal, 2013). In the end, the authors give an optimistic summary forecasting that the world will become richer, healthier and more developed. The urbanization will be higher; the technology will also achieve a higher level. There will be more innovations for challenges, more products and services for new consumers and more opportunities for entrepreneurs. In their words, today is an age of recurring miracles . According to the given information about the authors at the back of the book, they three are all scholars or doctors from Oxford, Stanford or the University of Southern California. Therefore, it can be believed that they have clear ideas of the content of their book. However, there is an important fact that the authors are all directors of McKinsey and of the McKinsey Global Institute. The Effect Of Job Satisfaction On College Students Abstract Many studies and observations on job satisfaction as it relates to age is well known and continues to be a rising trend in today s society. Job satisfaction is the contentment an individual feels while working .There are so many effects and leading causes of satisfaction while working. This paper looks into causes and effects within working college students and how to avoid job dissatisfaction while attending college. While age may play a role in job satisfaction during college attendance, each individual student handles working and studying differently. If a fission reaction goes out of control, it can really go out of control, you can t stop it and it actually might go into a nuclear meltdown. • 6. National Public Health Performance Standards Program In 1994 the Core Public Health Functions Steering Committee at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) released a list of 10 Essential Public Health Services ( The Public Health System, 2014). This was an essential step towards making established public health organizations accountable and giving new programs a framework on which to develop from. This list outlines the foundation for the National Public Health Performance Standards Program. The ten essential public health services provide a way to assess the impact of these programs. This paper will explore and analyze case studies and the essential public health services they represent. Case One surrounds the issue of water fluoridation. The process of water samples being submitted for testing each month was described, along with which public health sectors the results are reported to. Krisberg states that the parameters for water fluoridation levels were first established in 1962. She also reports that the level of fluoride established at that time was 1.2 milligrams per liter. In 2015 this level was reduced to 0.7 milligrams per liter (Krisberg, 2015). Many of the ten essential public health services can be seen in the details of the first case study. The instance described in case one correlates most closely to the sixth essential public health service to enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety (American Public Health Association, n.d.). I have learned there are five main types of sources: primary sources which presents original words of a writer, secondary sources which analyzes somebody else s work, objective sources which uses experiments/survey results, subjective sources which uses blogs and essays, and living sources from in person interviews or phone calls. When you are finding sources I have learned that there are unstable sources out there. I figured taking information from a website that wasn t reliable wasn t really the best thing to do but I never knew it as an unstable source. I now know to use sources from websites like end with .org, .edu, or .gov. The internet has so many endless and pointless information that it can be really easy to get off task. • 9. H. J Mccloskey s Article On Being An Atheist H. J. McCloskey, an atheist author, wrote an article titled On Being an Atheist which explains why he is an atheist, his views on God, and why He believes that being an atheist is more comfortable and reasonable than believing in Christianity. While arguing against the proofs within the cosmological argument and teleological argument, McCloskey does not acknowledge the ontological argument. He then goes on to say how belief in God is not necessary and living by faith is irrational. My goal of this paper is to examine his article, point out the flaws, and prove that his arguments do not prove atheism to be true. McCloskey refers to proofs as an argument that favors God but cannot make a case for God. He then goes on to argue that those proofs should not be used and discarded. Dr. Foreman, however, suggested the accumulative case approach, which tells us to collect the proofs and evidence that says God, in fact, exists. One main reason that we cannot be one hundred percent sure when we say that God exists is the possibility of us being wrong. On one hand, Dr. Foreman argues that things that take place around us are evidence of God. However, McCloskey says that the case for God cannot be proved through Christianity. In response to McCloskey, we believe in many things that are unseen but have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He also claims that there is not enough, if any, proof of a designer. The Importance Of Intervention From The Arctic Council The Arctic contributes a distinctive region which combines a unique biosphere and a wealth of natural resources, which often become a source of controversy. This paper will argue that the significant climate changes which are taking place in the Arctic Region open new pathways for economic opportunism for Russia, which calls for radical intervention from the Arctic Council. Firstly, this case study will give a framework of the main theory which will be used throughout in order to justify the importance of intervention from the Arctic Council. The main theorist used is Oran Young, who provides an agenda in how institutions such as the Arctic Council should function effectively in the Arctic. Moreover, the climate changes which are taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, through institutionalism, one can understand that the lack of intervention from non state actors contributes to this idea of economic logic over environmental sustainability. Arguably based on institutionalism the European actors in the Arctic, which are familiar with intervention from institutions, are influenced for instance by UNEP when it comes in to make a decision in the specific area. Consequently, this is helpful to understand why a state such as Russia is more economically and military antagonistic and less prone to cooperate with the other seven states of the area over the natural resources in the Arctic. Institutionalism is a theory which bases its principles of the idea that there is a need for stronger global institutions and norms as well as sufficient state and local capacity to constrain and direct the global political economy (Clapp and Dauvergne, 2011, 7). More specifically, the ideas of institutionalism do not set aside ideas such as global economic growth and foreign investment in areas of extreme wealth in natural resources such as the Arctic. Nonetheless, they simultaneously underline the importance of environmental sustainability which is succeeded through the setting of institutional norms which will channel a better environmental management in addition to sustainable growth. While people often think that micro organisms are scary and cause sickness, there are several of these beneficial organisms that are more common than the common cold. Saccharomycetes Cerevisiae is one of these organisms and has been in use by humans for millennia. The evolution of this micro organic life form has been highly guided by the hand of humanity to suite several specific purposes that our species has, and still does, use this yeast for. Cerevisiae has undergone genetic modification to do some pretty wild things. Morphine, codeine, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and other cannabinoids can now be synthesized from precursor chemicals using GMO S. Cerevisiae. THC and other cannabinoids can be produced by engineered yeasts, which have the same functions and chemistry as those from the plant, but are FDA approved for medical uses, while the plant itself is not (Khamsi, 2015). Engineered s. cerevisiae with a reconstituted 7 gene pathway is feasible for the synthesis and production of codeine and morphine from (R) reticuline (Fossati, et.al, 2015). S. cerevisiae cells fed (R) reticuline, salutaridine or codeine as substrates showed that all enzymes were functionally co expressed in yeast and that activity of salutaridine reductase and codeine O demethylase likely limit flux to morphine synthesis (Fossati, et.al, 2015). This study describes a significant advance for S. cerevisiae and paves the way for complete synthesis of substances not naturally produced by microbes. Morphine alkaloids are narcotic analgesics and the most powerful naturally produced alkaloids used to treat severe and chronic pain. Capturing and Propagating Yeast In order to study the evolution of yeasts, they must be captured and propagated. • 14. Choosing A Major And An Idea Of A Career Choosing a major and an idea of a career you want to pursue, is not an easy choice. There is a lot of thinking that goes into deciding what you want to study and what you want to become in the future. Most people are not positive even once they have entered college as to what it is for sure they want to do. This MyPlan assessment was extremely informative in what my skills were and how I could use them. Going to the Career Center on February 5 really helped me to understand what my results meant and what I could take out of this assessment. We took four tests, a personality, personal interest, skills, and values test. For my personality test report, there were 4 different categories looked at to come up with a combined census of what my personality is. You were either, extroverted or introverted, sensor or intuitive, thinker or feeler, and judger or perceiver. My results showed that I was ESTJ. Which means that I am extroverted, sensor, thinker, and a judger. Extroverts basically respond very well to social gatherings and like to be around people. They are usually very talkative and tend to work well in teams. Sensors seek specific answers to specific questions. Usually they do not have a very wide imagination and are more realistic. Thinkers believe that it is important to be right and honest with themselves than it is to be liked. A thinker seeks fairness and tend to be tough minded. Judgers appreciate organizations, punctuality, order, schedules, etc. Judgers tend to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Society and class structure, are devoid of identity and community, a stable system built for the superficial pleasures of life and control at the cost of freedom. There have been many theories discussing what aspects of associability make it successful and what can be done to clarify precisely how it works in an out of experiment setting. Two predominant theories are to be discussed with compelling evidence for two very different explanations of associability and how its change can be explained. The first of these two theories is N.J. Mackintosh (1975). He refers to many past theories of attention and how they are not suitable for discussing the associability of stimuli with reinforcement (Mackintosh, 1975, p. 276) stating his new theory answers some unqualified assumptions. Previous theories of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These relationships also interact with the second assumption he finds made by previous theories; that stimuli compete for attention (Mackintosh, 1975, p.281). His discussion of overshadowing and blocking, which I shall discuss later, lead him to his conclusion of relevance, where more attention is paid to relevant stimuli and less to irrelevant stimuli such as where the stimuli only leads to a predicted reinforcement (Mackintosh, 1975). Both this conclusion and the former, where change of α potential leads to a change in performance in an experiment have large impacts for associability. They appear to imply that in cases of associative change where a subject s focus switches from one thing to another, it is not the case that they do not have the mental capacity to focus on both things but they merely attend to those that provide it with its most rewarding option (ibid.). Mackintosh s conclusions have drawn support, in particular M.E. LePelley and I.P.L. McLaren (2003). They apply Mackintosh s theory to humans in an experiment where after being given a list of potential allergens and outcomes, subjects are to assess which foods they feel a fictitious Mr. X. (LePelley and McLaren, 2003, p.72) should avoid. The second stage involves Mr. Y. (ibid.) and based on previous associations made, subjects are asked to assess for him too. We try to rationalize her actions, stating that she is just pressured by those around her, or her feminist views are what cause her troubles. The reality is a culmination of multiple factors, some of which are unexplainable. Very much like Salinger s Catcher in the Rye, Esther s story is taken with varying levels of sympathy and understanding. Many would see her as the typical brooding teenager, one who makes mountains out of molehills. She is unbelievably privileged, especially for the time in which her story takes place. First, an empirical fact is introduced which would lead to a conclusion which proved a transcendent cause that relied upon these facts (35). A transcendent cause is a cause that is not a part of the physical world but offers explanation of the existence and occurrences of this world (35). Aquinas believed we did not understand God s essence, so he made the conclusion that God s existence was not self evident to us, but it could be proven. Therefore, as stated earlier, he uses the observation of motion to prove that God s lack of existence would be demonstrably false rather than self contradictory (35). However, Aquinas argument ... A Google Search For The Term Muslim Women A Google search for the term Muslim women greatly illustrates the impression and image of Islam in western society; the page fills with pictures of women in coverings, most prevalently head to toe black with just their eyes visible, with several women depicted in fetters. This shows the way the western eye interprets Muslim women constantly oppressed by the patriarchal, Islamic religion; however, it is also a representation of the perceived strangeness of a society not entrenched in our beliefs. The controversy of Muslim veiling is highly affected by western ideals, and discourse is often based in Islamophobia; also, veiling s stance in feminism is often misconstrued as either a guise for racism, or ignorance of non western interpretations of liberation. The controversy of Muslim veiling, even in Middle Eastern countries, is often interpreted through a western lens, with a focus on the concept of modernity. Besides from citing issues of patriarchal discrimination with the veil, Islamic feminists argue for their unveiling as an acceptance of modern times and more progressive society, claiming that the veil is tied to politics rather than religion; women who see it as a political symbol say that, unveiled, they can avoid the religious extremism and racial separatism associated with it (Read and Bartkowski 93). However, this claim of modernism is a way of attacking the non western tradition of veiling; many of the same beliefs for the usage of the veil are commonly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The recent increasing incidence of diseases, such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), tuberculosis, brucellosis, mastitis, and foot and mouth, has raised concern in the livestock industry and in society. Infectious diseases of livestock have major implications not only in animal welfare and production efficiency but also in human health, and food safety and quality. Most biosensor developments have been in the biomedical field, where many in vivo applications demand small sizes. But it is lacking adversely in the field of milking animals and other livestock. The primary considerations of biosensors were the physical sensor design, fluid transport, optical sensor configuration, fluid mixing, sampling of the raw milk, and automation. The ideal biosensor would be a probe, similar to that found in a pH meter. Since the standard enzyme immunoassay identification of progesterone (EIA) is currently performed and standardized using microtitre plates. This technique was a starting point and need Ab raised against other innocent animals. Automated measurements of mitochondrial transport in hippocampal and cortical neurons. Mitochondria are transported to synapses by kinesin motor proteins. We have recently described methodologies for the automated analysis of fast mitochondrial transport from data acquired using a robotic microscope. We focused on addressing questions of measurement precision, speed, reliably, workflow ease, statistical processing, and presentation. With it, we are able to generate complete descriptions of movement profiles in an automated fashion of hundreds of thousands of mitochondria with a processing time of approximately one hour. We also described the calibration of the parameters of the tracking algorithms and demonstrate that they are capable of measuring the fast transport of a single mitochondrion. We then show that the methods are capable of reliably measuring the inhibition of fast mitochondria transport induced by the disruption of microtubules with the drug Nocodazole in both hippocampal and cortical neurons. While proteins, RNAs and vesicles as well as mitochondria are transported to synapses, our automated analysis methodology will be useful for assessing the effect of compounds in modulating transport of mitochondria, a key cargo of kinesin relevant for synaptic plasticity and implicated in several neurodegenerative ... Throughout the existence of this unstable nation, soccer was the most popular sport with the most devout supporters. It is for this reason that soccer in Yugoslavia can serve as a political barometer to understand the underlying concerns, ideologies, and conflicts that occurred in the country in the 20th century. Unlike other theorists of his time Erikson s theory focused on human development across the lifespan from birth to late adulthood. Erikson believed that development change occurs throughout our lives in eight distinctive stages that emerge in a fixed pattern and are similar for all people. Erikson argued that each stage presents a crisis or conflict which results in either a positive or negative outcome (Feldman p.16). In this essay I will identify incidents in my own life that demonstrate each stage of development according to Erikson that I have lived through. I will also interview my Aunt Tami, who will share her experiences for the remainder of the stages of Erikson s development that I have not gone through thus far. Erikson s first stage of development is the Trust versus Mistrust stage that occurs from birth till 18 months of life. According to Erikson this is the period in which infants develop a sense of trust or mistrust, depending largely on how well their caregivers meet their needs (Feldman p. 187). During this stage of my life I was being taken care of by both Mom and Dad, but primarily by Mom. My Mom was a stay at home parent while my Dad worked.
