Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) refers to vision problems that result from extensive computer use. Anyone who uses a computer for more than two hours per day is at risk. Symptoms include tired eyes, headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes, and neck/shoulder pain. These symptoms are caused by the nature of computer screens, prolonged focusing, posture, and infrequent blinking. To prevent CVS, one should have regular eye exams, practice ergonomics, do eye exercises, take effective breaks, and consider computer glasses or eye drops. Taking breaks every 30 minutes can help reduce fatigue.
