This paper analyzes two counterintuitive motorcycle maneuvers: turning while going straight at high speed and rear wheel braking during high-speed curves. Utilizing principles of dynamics, the authors explain that a sudden steering action causes the motorcycle to veer in the opposite direction and that brief rear wheel braking can redirect the motorcycle back toward the center of a curve, enhancing stability. The findings emphasize the significant role of gyroscopic effects and human factors in motorcycle control and dynamics.
