Germany s Mobilization For World War I
On August 14, 1914, the German Reichstag commenced to make known that the German
civilians should unite and defend their own country. They announced a civil peace which meant
that all previous conflicts or issues would be set aside for the duration of war. They also began
the mobilization for World War I. When the emperor first declared the policy in 1914, the people
were joyful and in awe. By 1915 and 1916, the people s views shifted from being optimistic to
opposing war because war caused them to overwork and was the source for the food shortages;
the government lost many of their supporters as a result. To end, in 1918, civilians from both sides
who was either opposing war or supporting it affected the German population because of their
different opinions which led to the defeat of Germanyin World War I.
Most people in Germany supported the emperor s idea of civil peace . The other people who

people. Wilhelm II desired to unite the country by telling his people that all that matters now is

The days of traditional television shows, movies and plays are slowly coming to an end. Many
people have replaced scripted shows with favorite actors with reality television. Reality television
has introduced viewers to a cast of regular people they can relate to, and some of whom they are
fond of or mimic in their day to day life basis. Reality television has however been on the receiving
end of endless criticism. Critics maintain that it has overwhelmingly turned young girls into divas
and young men into bodybuilders . Despite this rapid transition in media that has led many to an
inclination toprefer reality television rather than the traditional television shows, movies and
plays, which was the case many years back, critics feel that the social, moral fabric is eroding at

Robert Bly s Waking from Sleep explores the thoughts and events that occur at night as the
country recovers from the war that has just occurred. In the first stanza of the poem, the narrator
is addressing the war, the reader can confirm this because he states tiny explosions at the

during his playwright tenure, the play starts off with Othello who is a moor but the general of the
Venetian Army. In this particular play Shakespeare placed several different themes throughout the
play but two of the main themes were Love and Race. Othello is strong, confident man he is the
