I used the brush tool in Photoshop to outline figures from a photograph for my college magazine cover, changing the brush size until it was suitable. Making individual layers for each figure and object allowed me to easily fix mistakes without deleting my entire outline. Through trial and error over an hour, I added colored lines behind the figures and found the best brush size, learning new Photoshop skills in the process.

2. I have chosen the brush
tool to draw around the
image because I found
that the most well-suited
for my front cover.
Then I changed the size of
the brush as it was too
large for the image. So,
the final size was 15
pixels.

3. I learnt that it is very useful to make layers in Photoshop. It makes the
construction much easier, thus this step is very important.
I made a layer for every figure
and object on the photograph, so
if I make a mistake I can easily
delete the previous step rather
than needing to delete the whole
outline I have done so far.

12. I added bright
pink, light and
dark blue lines
behind the
figures. So, the
finished image
stands out.
This took me
about an hour to
do and through
trial and error I
found the best
brush to use. This
is how I learnt
this new skill in
Photoshop.
