Evaluation q7
1. Q7) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in
the progression from it to the full product?
I believe I have massively improved looking back at the preliminary task and
then comparing it to my final product. I have made a lot of progression over the
course of these tasks.
This is mainly down to the vast improvement with my Photoshop skills, during
the preliminary task was one of the first times I had used Photoshop. But after
completing my full product I believe I have massively improved these skills, I
was able to be more precise and do more advanced editing and creating with the
Photoshop tools. This meant that my final magazine would look much more
professional, the preliminary task was good to get me used to using the software.
I also believe that I learnt how vitally important time management was looking
back at the preliminary task, this is because I did not time it very well in the
preliminary, however when it came to the full product I took much more care
sticking to the time. This enabled me to use my time much more effectively and I
could plan out what I wanted to do and so I could pre-plan the equipment that I
needed as well which was vital for the main task due to the props and other
equipment used.
Getting constant feedback from my target audience was not something that I did
a lot of during my preliminary task, however when it come to my main task I did
get feedback, not only from my target audience but also from my peers. Getting a
mixture of feedback led me to creating a very effective product for my target
audience. It was vital for me to get this feedback to understand what people
wanted from my product.
