The speed of sound depends on the temperature of matter. The higher the temperature, the higher the speed of sound is. The properties of sound are reflection and refraction. In reflection, the sound wave turns back when it hits a barrier. A good example of this are echoes and reverberations. On the other hand, refraction is the bending of sound waves.
