The project is designed to develop a density based dynamic traffic signal system having remote override facilities. During normal time the signal timing changes automatically on sensing the traffic density at the junction but in the event of any emergency vehicle like ambulance, fire brigade etc. requiring priority are built in with RF remote control to override the set timing by providing instantaneous green signal in the desired direction while blocking the other lanes by red signal for some time. Traffic congestion is a severe problem in many major cities across the world thus it is felt imperative to provide such facilities to important vehicles.
Conventional traffic light system is based on fixed time concept allotted to each side of the junction which cannot be varied as per varying traffic density. Junction timings allotted are fixed. Sometimes higher traffic density at one side of the junction demands longer green time as compared to standard allotted time. The proposed system using a PIC microcontroller duly interfaced with sensors, changes the junction timing automatically to accommodate movement of vehicles smoothly avoiding unnecessary waiting time at the junction. The sensors used in this project are IR, are in line of sight configuration across the loads to detect the density at the traffic signal. The override feature is activated by an on board RF transmitter operated from the emergency vehicle.
The main objective of our project is to provide an optimum solution to the traffic hazards and the road accidents. According to this project when a vehicle meets with an accident, immediately vibration sensor will detect the signal and sends it to ARM controller. Microcontroller sends the alert message through the GSM MODEM including the location to police control room or a rescue team. So the police can immediately trace the location through the GPS MODEM after receiving the information.
In this project we are going to make an embedded system which will help to provide protection against theft. This system will send the data to the user who want to track the vehicle showing the using position of vehicle in terms of latitude and longitude. Most of the people know that GPS is more secure but they don’t apply because it is expensive. This design is needed for the real time location of the vehicle. It changes the microcontroller P89V51RD2 interfaces with various hardware peripheries this uncontrolled interfaces serially with GSM modem and GPS receiver.

As we know that in India 50-60% of the population owns the two wheelers, In 2019 the domestic sells of the two wheelers were quite higher, since it is the most sold vehicle in India because of its low price, But now a days it is the most unsafe vehicle because of the reason of safety, As we know that accidents are increasing day by day, we can also notice that many laws and protocols are implemented by government in order to avoid this accidents. Accidents can be known as the unplanned event or the mistake that may occur causing in injury and sometimes it also leads to death. The accidents in case of two wheelers are more related to other vehicles. This may be avoided by wearing helmets and riding vehicles without consuming liquor. Since this survey is on smart helmet for accidence prevention and also we examining various related techniques. This research also helps us to understand IOT technology which is being developed now a days. Smart Helmet is the intelligent system that detects automatically whether the person is wearing the helmet and has nonalcoholic breath while driving. Here we have a transmitter on the helmet and the receiver on the bike. There is a switch used to assured the wearing of helmet on the head. The ON condition of the switch ensures the placing of the helmet in proper way. An alcohol sensor is placed near the mouth, the engine shouldn’t ON if any condition is violated, when the rider met with an accident and the helmet hits the ground then sensor sense and give the information to main controller it will activate the GSM Module which automatically sends the message to the family member.

Google Self Driving Cars
The Google Self-Driving Car is a project by Google that involves developing technology for autonomous cars. The software powering Google's cars is called Google Chauffeur. Lettering on the side of each car identifies it as a "self-driving car". The project is currently being led by Google engineer Sebastian Thrun, former director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and co-inventor of Google Street View. Thrun's team at Stanford created the robotic vehicle Stanley which won the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge and its US$2 million prize from the United States Department of Defense. The team developing the system consisted of 15 engineers working for Google, including Chris Urmson, Mike Montemerlo, and Anthony Levandowski who had worked on the DARPA Grand and Urban Challenges.
Legislation has been passed in four states and the District of Columbia allowing driverless cars. The U.S. state of Nevada passed a law on June 29, 2011, permitting the operation of autonomous cars in Nevada, after Google had been lobbying in that state for robotic car laws. The Nevada law went into effect on March 1, 2012, and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles issued the first license for an autonomous car in May 2012, to a Toyota Prius modified with Google's experimental driverless technology. In April 2012, Florida became the second state to allow the testing of autonomous cars on public roads, and California became the third when Governor Jerry Brown signed the bill into law at Google HQ in Mountain View. In July 2014, the city of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho adopted a robotics ordinance that includes provisions to allow for self-driving cars.

Here we are making a project which just traces our vehicle location, in terms of its precise latitude and longitude and then send it to a mobile number (as per our requirement). This project consists of three main devices which are :- (i) Arduino UNO, (ii) GPS module (Neo-6M), & (iii) GSM- 900A.These all three devices will be going to be installed in the vehicle to which we want to trace. Initially what happened that we make a program in arduino (in C language) regarding interfacing the GSM device and GPS device. And we also set a mobile number in the program as per our need, on which we get the info regarding its (vehicle’s) location. First of all we make a call to the mobile number which has been installed in the GSM module and then after some specific delay (as per mentioned in the program) we get a sms regarding the exact latitude and longitude of the vehicle. It is done in a way that GPS device is continuously receiving the location of the vehicle from the satellite and then transferring to the arduino board, from where we send it to the required mobile no. And hence in this way we can easily get info regarding the exact location of the vehicle. Once the message has been sent to the predefined mobile no. the GSM gets deactivated and the GPS gets activated. Thus we can easily trace our vehicle. Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is the technology used to determine the location of a vehicle using different methods like GPS and other radio navigation systems operating through satellites and ground based stations. This system is an important tool for tracking each vehicle at a given period of time and now it is becoming increasingly popular for people having expensive cars and hence as theft prevention and retrieval device.

A NOVEL AND COST EFFECTIVE APPROACH TO PUBLIC VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEMijujournal
There are lots of efforts being made by public transport corporations to improve public vehicle occupancy
by requesting the public to use public transport over other modes of transportation. It can be noted that if
the passenger knows with high confidence that the bus is going to come, he/she will definitely wait rather
than opting for other modes of transport. Efficient information can therefore help the users to choose faster
and more easier connections which saves their time. Trends in wireless technology like Global System for
Mobile communication (GSM) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) have resulted in easier and
faster communication. This paper presents a vehicle tracking system by integrating both of the above
mentioned technologies. The central server uses geographic information system (GIS) to track vehicles to
display the position information on the electronic map. This paper suggests a new cost-effective way for
tracking a vehicle in public transport domain and compares proposed technique to some of the methods
advised previously for tracking public vehicles.
The Presentation on "Global Positioning System" gives an insight on the segment of GPS, how the positioning system works, its advantages and disadvantages, applications and new innovations in the field.

Multi tracking system for vehicle using gps and gsmeSAT Journals
Abstract In the present paper a multilayered microstrip low pass filter using complementary split ring resonator is proposed. A design for prominent stop band characteristics with minimized ripples is presented, while maintaining the filter pass-band performance. By properly designing and integrating the complementary split ring resonators with the low pass filter, the proposed structure exhibit superior pass band and stop band characteristics by eliminating unwanted spurious signals. Since the literature is multi-layered, no structure is designed at the ground plane and the problem of distortion of ground plane structure while packaging is resolved. The measured results indicate that the proposed structure achieves significantly improved band characteristics with minimum distortion, when compared with the simulated one. A GPS tracking system is a common way of getting real-time vehicle location data. GPS technology is often employed in modern car tracking systems, however other forms of autonomous vehicle location technologies can also be used. A GPS tracking system comprised of hardware, open-source software, a web server, and an easy-to-manage user interface via a web server with Google Map was presented. The goal of this project is to develop and build a hand-held wireless GPS tracking device that can be tracked remotely via the Internet. There are three parts to this research. A mobile device with GPS and a wireless Internet connection is the first component. Our hardware project, which contains an LCD, GPS, GSM, Arduino Uno, and sensor linked to service, is the second portion.

9. GPS Location Tracker Working
GPS is basically based on the time and known positions of the
satellites. The satellites use ultra-precise atomic clocks to
synchronize with each other and also to the receivers on the
earth.
How GPS works – The satellite transmits radio signals at regular
intervals carrying information. This information is about the time
and its location at the point in time. The receiver has to monitor
information from multiple satellites to calculate and identify the
precise location. For this purpose, at least 4 satellites have to be
in the viewing field of the receiver.
11. GPS System Segments
Space Segment :-
It is the constellation of satellites which moves in a circular
orbit around the earth. It is also called satellite segment.
Control Segment :-
Using the control segment we can monitor and control stations
on the ground to catch the radio signals sent by the various
satellites.
User Segment :-
The user segment is the receiver that uses the transmitted data
to estimate the precise location of the user. The number of
satellites it can monitor simultaneously defines the user’s
capability.
13. Advantages
• Cost Saving

15. Future Scope
In a world where technology is evolving every day, we need to
keep ourselves updated and keep a track of what’s happening
around us. Out of all the technologies and management that
have grown tremendously, Vehicle Industry is one of the most
popular among all in terms of technological impact. And it is
because of this growth that we bring to you a look into what the
GPS tracker was, how far it has come and where it is headed. The
keen interest in the transportation sector is palpable. This is
understandable, since almost all aspects of our lives basically run
on the vehicular industry. Not to mention, vehicles help us in
reaching from one place to another at a faster pace. And in order
to cope up with the speed of the world, vehicles have become an
essential part of our lives.
