RIDLs is a coalition of partners in higher education working to promote information and research data literacy. It receives HEFCE funding for one year to enable activities advancing these skills. Partners include academic libraries, data managers, and career experts. The RIDLs program provides networking, assesses training, and identifies best practices. It also researches open data training and engages internationally. While making progress, collective action has challenges. The future of RIDLs is uncertain after initial funding ends, but expanding partnerships and continuing useful outputs could support sustainability.
