TCI 2015 From The Blind Angle to Strategical Internationalisation in ClustersTCI Network
This document discusses internationalization strategies for clusters in Denmark. It begins by noting that six years ago, international activities were not integrated into cluster strategies in Denmark. Now, Cluster Excellence Denmark works to professionalize and internationalize the 50 major Danish clusters.
Over the past six years, 21 clusters have co-organized international matchmaking events, 14 have done market visits, and all have found partners for collaboration. Surveys show 65% of clusters have internationalization strategies and activities like partner search, study tours, and innovation projects help clusters access new knowledge, markets, and partners.
The document outlines a four phase model for cluster internationalization: 1) understand the cluster, 2) develop a strategic plan, 3) implement
Presentation by Anne Hammill, NAP Global Network, as part of the NAP Global Network's Targeted Topics Forum on “Troubleshooting for NAP implementation and building support for the NAP process through strategic communications” held in Stone Town, United Republic of Tanzania, in February 2019.
The document outlines IFAD's knowledge management strategy, which has four main components: strengthening knowledge sharing and learning processes; equipping IFAD with an improved knowledge sharing infrastructure; fostering broader partnerships for knowledge sharing and learning; and promoting a supportive knowledge sharing culture. Most knowledge management initiatives will be financed through existing country program funding or regional/global grants. The strategy's vision is for IFAD to be a learning organization that systematically learns from development experiences and uses that knowledge to promote pro-poor policies and share information on rural poverty globally to influence policies.
The document summarizes the vision, mission, and structure of the Ethiopian National Learning Alliance (NLA). The NLA's vision is for decision makers to create an enabling environment for sustainable agricultural intensification strategies and for smallholder farmers to benefit from these practices. Its mission is to create a learning platform for decision makers, development partners, and smallholder farmers. The NLA structure includes a steering committee and thematic learning groups. It also outlines boundary partners, learning themes, expected results, and challenges of the NLA.
The document summarizes the Yorkshire and Humber Forum's involvement in developing and delivering training on strategic planning and responding to social change for voluntary organizations in the region from 2008-2010. The Forum helped establish workshops, develop materials, promote events, and facilitate online learning. Feedback was positive, and the training helped organizations feel less fearful and better able to offer services, generate income, and influence policy. The Forum strengthened its relationship with NCVO and gained experience to pursue other projects. Future work may include continued use of strategic drivers and scenario planning to help members with strategic planning.

In other news, the Financial Times has a new Big Read this morning on Russia’s grip on nuclear power. Despite sanctions on its economy, the Kremlin continues to be an unrivalled exporter of nuclear power plants, building more than half of all reactors under construction globally. Read how Moscow is using these projects to wield global influence.
Today’s Energy Source dives into the latest Statistical Review of World Energy, the industry’s annual stocktake of global energy consumption. The report was published for more than 70 years by BP before it was passed over to the Energy Institute last year. The oil major remains a contributor.

New report offers sobering view of the energy transition
Every year the Statistical Review of World Energy offers a behemoth of data on the state of the global energy market. This year’s findings highlight the world’s insatiable demand for energy and the need to speed up the pace of decarbonisation.
Here are our four main takeaways from this year’s report:
Fossil fuel consumption — and emissions — are at record highs
Countries burnt record amounts of oil and coal last year, sending global fossil fuel consumption and emissions to all-time highs, the Energy Institute reported. Oil demand grew 2.6 per cent, surpassing 100mn barrels per day for the first time.
Meanwhile, the share of fossil fuels in the energy mix declined slightly by half a percentage point, but still made up more than 81 per cent of consumption.

Causes Supporting Charity for Elderly PeopleSERUDS INDIA
Around 52% of the elder populations in India are living in poverty and poor health problems. In this technological world, they became very backward without having any knowledge about technology. So they’re dependent on working hard for their daily earnings, they’re physically very weak. Thus charity organizations are made to help and raise them and also to give them hope to live.
