In XXI Century Education and around the social web new Social
Media King is Curation who is about adding value for humans
because only they can do what no computer can possibly achieve .
The Internet Curator’s role is to seek on the web information related
to a specic domain,fillter them, select them, organise, share, present
them in a unique mode. Nowadays when informatics and science
developed spectacular and the use of new online technologies aren’t
regarded like a avangardist movement new tools and apps Web 2.0
and social media can bring a new dimension and can reform
education around the world because electronic communication helps
teachers and students to learn from each other. These technologies
can stimulate discussion, open gateway to knowledge, promoting
creativity and innovation for effective lifelong learning . Teacher and
also students should have an entitlement to safe internet access at all
times. Pulling Piaget and Papert , the use of participatory media tools
in education is typically geared towards, creating a more student
centered, adaptive environnement where learners can contribute to
the course material, formulate and express their own insights and
opinion, construct their own understanding of material by connecting
concepts, to personal experience or current events, and learn from
one another in collaborative environments .Web 2.0 , social media
and other digital and online technologies are powerful and interesting
tools, which open up new opportunities for everyone and for this
reason teachers must learn how to use it in a creative mode and
integrate in their classroom with students .

European Schoolnet launched a unique online learning
laboratory as part of an innovative research project.
Entitled SMILE - or Social Media in Learning and
Education – this year-long project (April 2012 - March
2013) aims to improve our understanding of the
challenges and opportunities associated with how kids are
growing up in a world of social media and technology.
The project, funded by an inaugural Digital Citizenship
Research Grant fromFacebook, consists three key phases:
*An online learning laboratory for 100 teachers from the
30 member states of EUN's partnerships (and beyond) to
investigate and embrace the educational opportunities
social media offers;
*Research with the learning laboratory participants to
highlight trends and best practices for how social media is
being used and can be used in classrooms;
*Broad dissemination of the research results
through EUN’s interactive portals for teachers, as well as
through European and international conferences.

SMILE  is a project managed by
European Shoolnet after received a facebook
grant . Social Media in Learning and
Education Project has 3 phases related to
this communities of practices :
What is social media?
Using social media in schools - whole-school
approach;
Using social media for learning and teaching
- pedagogical principles;
Using social media for professional
development;
Using social media responsibly;
Social media policy and the challenges of
social media adoption in schools?

In the 1st phase of SMILE  Project were six units
covering a variety of aspects on the use of social
media in learning and education . For each unit,
participants saw a introductory video to view,
along with a written commentary and additional
sources of information and a list of links to explore
and reflect on, and examples of interesting
practice taken from both the education sector and
beyond. At the end of each unit were a series of
tasks to help you deepen your understanding, and
gain practical experience of many of the issues
discussed.
In 2nd phase of Smile Project I was verry excited to be
COP2 Leader – Using social media in schools -
whole-school approach . Our team was made from 8
teachers around Europe who work in collaboration for
our case study . In this way in partenership with Rose
we launch ICT4eTwinners Project like a part of our
research and in 3rd phase of SMILE Project

curation tool because I curate the best tools , apps ,
videos and presentations related to new technologies in
education 2.0 and I add tags to every post and #edtech20
PLN and visitors can propose posts, comment and share .
The main difference with the others social media is
essential: Scoop.it lets users follow topics, not people.
Scoop.it brings you content on topics you’ve decided to
follow, shared by other people on these topics. People we
meet are users who are willing to discuss about the same
subjects. Scoop.it enables to share things you would not
normally share on other social Media .Sometimes you
find that it’s too risky to share links with your family,
your colleagues or old classmates. They will also not
