The Tyger Tone
I wondered this lonely cloud
T: The poem s title suggests a close relationship with nature and that this poem is about someone
without company. P
P: The speaker compares himself to a cloud that floats alone over the hills when he sees a lot of
daffodils in the field. The speaker tells the audience that now whenever he is alone in his study
thinking, he thinks back to the daffodils and the waves and he feels glad.
C: This poem has multiple examples of metaphor and simile, one even appearing in the title. To be
compared to a cloud can imply that you are gloomy, a lone grey storm cloud ready to rain.
A: The author s attitude is that nature lifts the spirit, and can cause a lonely and sad man feel glad
again. The speaker seems to feel the same, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Tyger and The Lamb are about animals that are complete opposites. One is a fearsome predator
and the other, a gentle, innocent animal. The tones of The Lamb and The Tyger are very different as
well. Blake uses dark imagery to create an awed tone in The Tyger while the tone of The Lamb is
gentle.
Ozymandias
T: This poem may be on great leaders.
P: the is a grand statue, but there is nothing else besides this. This is a scene of massive destruction,
where everything is empty.
C: Line 1:The statue: is Mans attempt at creating a legacy for himself. Yet It will crumble due to the
destructive nature of history repeating itself.
A: The poet believes that all rulers face the same fate, regardless of how they try to preserve their
legacy.
S: There are no obvious shifts in this poem for me
T: The title seems to be an attack on leaders who try and preserve their legacies. Shelley used an
obscure Greek name of Ramses to emphasize how we do not remember our past leaders and how they
all fade away into history.
T: The theme of this poem refers to the destructive nature of history, and the insignificance of

My Unknown Colonies
Unknown #3 Report To start off unknown #3, I picked out O17 from rack A and wrote down my
name, date, class, and I first noticed the broth was a light yellow that was quite cloudy or milky. Soon
later I streaked my organism onto a TSA plate and incubated it at 37oC for 24 hours, t was almost a
perfect plate. There was no contamination; I could tell it there was only one species on the plate and
that it was okay for me to move on. There were many isolated colonies in quadrants 3 and 4. The
colonies were small and white in color, it was not translucent. I then began to make my 2 slants,
inoculating a straight line on each slant, I incubated it at 37oC for 24 hours. The next day, I made sure
my slants were pure and also there was a thick line of organism where I had inoculated with a yellow
white color. Now I was ready to begin making my slides and start staining. I used E. Coli and S.
Aureus next to my unknown to help me ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When checking the results, H2S was negative, there were no black precipitants in the tube, and the
organism was motile. After recording those results, I went to the hood to add Kovoc s reagent to the
SIMs and waited for about 30 minutes before observing to get the results, and it came out to be
negative for indole as well. At this point, only one organism matched every result that I received
during all my tests, I decided to do my confirmation test. I did Methyl Red and Voges Proskauer tests
for my confirmation test. After inoculating the MRVP broth and incubating it at 37oC for 120 hours, I
took my separated samples to the hood and added in the Methyl Red in one tube and reagent A then B
in the other tube, I mixed it and checked in on both tubes after every 10 minutes. About 45 minutes
later it was clear what the results were, negative for methyl red and positive for Voges Proskauer. That
confirmed that my unknown O17 was Enterobacter

Leadership Approach Paper – Behavioral Approach
Leadership Approach Paper
Organizations depend on the management and leadership skills of individuals in order to be
successful. Leaders do not have to be managers but are equally important. Leaders are individuals who
possess traits, behavior and abilities to influence others to accomplish tasks and other needed
objectives for the company. Leadership is defined as the ability of an individual to influence, motivate,
and enable others to contribute toward the effectiveness and success of the organization. . . . (House et
al., 1999, pg. 184).
According to Yuki, G. (2010) there are five different leadership approaches that are being researched.
These five approaches are:
1. Trait approach
2. Behavior approach
3. Power influence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is a not an easy task to change behavior, especially if a person is not interested in change. This is
approach seems to best fit my personal leadership approach. Looking back at my previous
employment as a financial associate at Boone County National Bank, I can relate to the definition of
the behavioral approach. I was always concerned about given tasks and people. My behavior
influenced others to follow and start behaving the same way I did. A great example is the way I used
to deal with my customers. I was friendly, concerned with their business and ensured that they were
well taken care of. By being concerned and open minded, I completed sales and other branch needed
tasks without pushing or forcing myself on someone. With a combination of traits and behavior me
and my colleagues made a great team and were able to complete all tasks on time, efficiently and
effectively as well as satisfy all of our customers and managers. Looking back over the
accomplishments of the branch I worked in as well as my personal accomplishments, I feel proud of
what I have helped accomplish.
Conclusion
Understanding the difference between effective management and effective leadership is important.
Leaders are not always born leaders; they can be formed into leaders if that is what they want. All five
leadership approaches combined would form the perfect leader but each individual has special traits
and behaviors that can make one into a leader. The behavioral

Factors That Reflected On The Various Factors For Education
In the early century, education has been introduced as one of the important form in improving the
civilization. It was established throughout the world through teaching and learning in schools. The
goals of education in Athens were to educate the citizens in both arts of peace and war. As education
was improved through the centuries, the education council established primary education, followed by
secondary and tertiary education. At this time, Malaysia implemented a compulsory education and
curriculum activities for students. In this essay, I will seek to critically examine on the factors that
reflects on the various factors for education background in Malaysia. Malaysia is made up of variety
races. The main three ethnic groups are Malay, Chinese and Indian. Besides that, there are some
minority of other ethnic group such as Sandakan and Sawarakian. Education system in Malaysia
established with English as the first language. My parents never received any Mandarin lessons during
their school age. Many of the Chinese and Indian have trouble in their own mother s tongue. In the
recent 20 years, they changed the teaching system to Malay. Mathematics and Science are all in
Malay. These two languages, Mandarin and Tamil are working as a second language in secondary. It is
not a consistent study throughout our education years.
During my early education experience, I was sent to a Chinese language school. Moving on with
secondary school, my studies are changed from Mandarin to

Exegetical Paper On The Abrahamic Covenant
Covenants or divine promises are made between individuals, groups, or nations that have binding
power. It is Jewish belief that God established a special covenant with the people of Israel in which he
would bless them above other peoples of the earth for which they were required to strictly obey his
law. The Abrahamic covenant is an unconditional covenant which was made between Abraham and
God, and ultimately God and Abraham s descendants. The Abrahamic Covenant is paramount to a
proper understanding of the kingdom concept and is foundational to Old Testament theology. There
are many elements that include promise of land, descendants, blessing, redemption, and a Messiah.
This covenant is thought to be a very critical part of the Judaic religion and also very critical to all the
things they believe in.
Judaism has its earliest genesis in the story of Abraham and Sarah in the book of Genesis in the bible.
Abraham was the first man to follow a monotheistic religion, meaning that he believed in only one
God. God reveals himself to Abraham saying: Go forth from your native land and from your father s
house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you (Genesis
12:1 2). This was God s first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Judaism, the messiah is a person who will be the Jews leader when they attain their goal of
universal peace on earth. The word Messiah is an English version of the Hebrew word Mashiach ,
describing a future anointed person to come. There are many passages in the Hebrew Bible that speak
of a descendant of King David who will rule Israel during the age of perfection. The Abrahamic
Covenant finds its ultimate fulfillment in connection with the return of Messiah. It is through Israel
that God promised in Genesis 12:1 3 to bless the nations of the world. That ultimate blessing will issue
in the forgiveness of sins and Messiah s reign on

Summary Of Keeping Things Whole By Mark Strand
The poem Keeping Things Whole by Mark Strand is written in the first person point of view and the
narrator discusses his solitude and how he is always moving. Strand uses enjambment and the use of
free verse in Keeping Things Whole to convey the meaning of isolation and absence. One poetic
device used in Keeping Things Whole is enjambment. This is when a phrase is continued without a
pause at the end of a line. One example of enjambment in Keeping Things Whole is the phrase I am
the absence / of field (lines 2 3). By ending the line at the word absence , Strand creates an importance
and emphasis on the motif of absence. Another instance of enjambment in Keeping Things Whole is

Limited Liability Company
The parties of an LLC have particular rights like voting decisions which impact the Limited Liability
Company. The members of an LLC openly manage the firm and are likely to receive revenue
allocations, tax remunerations as well as losses which are different from their membership interest.
Members also have duties of trust which are sometimes called fiduciary duties. Several Limited
Liability Companies are managed by its owners, and some are operated by managers. Members have a
duty of loyalty to the entity (Fitzpatrick, 2018). Under the duty of loyalty, members have the
responsibility of putting the achievement and benefits of the company above their advantages.
Members ought to act honestly when dealing with the company and avoid any conflicting interests
between the company goals and personal goals. A member is supposed not to take secret advantage of
the business opportunities or hoard secret profits from the commercial activities of the company
(Fitzpatrick, 2018). Members also have a duty of care, and they are required to act in a decent manner
as well as exercise reasonable care in performing their duties. For instance, if your Limited Liability

Limited Liability Company property is used to pay off the company debts, and the owner will only

Analysis Of Fleetwood Mac s Rumours
There is no doubt that Fleetwood Mac s Rumours is one of the most iconic rock albums of all time.
The album skyrocketed the band into fame and success with Grammy nominations, millions of sold
copies and four top ten singles. However, behind the scenes of Fleetwood Mac s success was a group
of people falling apart. The band was in chaos, filled with anger, passion and heartache and you can
clearly hear this turmoil in their lyrics.
During the making of Rumours, Fleetwood Mac s two couples John McVie and Christine McVie, and
Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were in the midsts of high tension breakups. The McVie s were
divorcing and Nicks and Buckingham, longtime lovers, were separating; Of course, not without some
affairs mixed into the madness. Tensions were high as the band s songwriters channeled their
frustrations, often used as cross dialogues to one another, to create the songs that would then become
the musical soap opera, Rumours.
One of the first songs on the album, Go Your Own Way truly encompasses the emotion the couples
were feeling. The song starts with the powerful line: loving you isn t the right thing to do / how can I
ever change things that I feel? From the bat, the song, written by Buckingham, is an ode to the broken
relationships within the band. In other words, the lyric means that things aren t working out between
him and Nicks, yet he can t help but love her still. The relationship causes him sadness and pain, for
he cannot help the way he

Ethics In Nursing
Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and
injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy
in the care of individuals, families, communities, and populations. (ANA, 2010a, p. 1).
Exemplified within this definition is the inherent nature and breadth of nursing, a discipline grounded
in a set of values and guided by a code of ethics that reveres the sanctity of human life. Both an art and
science, it embodies an evidence based practice requiring a specialized knowledge base and skill set
with consideration of clinical judgment and patient preference to optimize health and well being

Essay about The Devil And Tom Walker, by Washington Irving
The Devil And Tom Walker, by Washington Irving Washington Irving the author of The Devil and
Tom Walker uses the setting of the story to convey that things with a good appearance can be
deceiving and be putrid on the inside. He also creates the right atmosphere for the story, and gives
precise details to the audience so they can predict the topic and how it will develop. In addition, he
describes each character in a manner that the readers can infer who they are, their personal
characteristics, and the decisions that they might make throughout the development of the story.
Moreover, he provides a background for each character in order to understand their actions and their
ending. This tall tale occurs near Boston, Massachusetts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These speculations are proven true when the termagant wife of Tom Walker goes into the swamp and
gets slaughtered by the devil. Secondly, the swamp was covered with great trees, fair and flourishing
without, but rotten at the core. Tom Walker noticed that the trees had the names of some influential
and good people of the colony. For instance, there was a tree with the name of Deacon Peabody, an
eminent man who had waxed wealthy by driving shrewd bargains with the Indians. Also, there was
another tree with the name of Crowninshield... a mighty rich man...who made a vulgar display of
wealth which it was whispered he had acquired by buccaneering. These situations showed that the
people that seemed to be good Samaritans among the community had gotten their power through ill
gotten ways, so their appearance conveyed nothing of what their true selves were. Furthermore, the
author never mentions directly that the devil is present in the story, but he gives out clues so the reader
can infer it. For example, he mentions he was dressed in a rude, half Indian garb, and had a red belt...
swathed round his body... his face was begrimed with soot, as if he had been accustomed to toil among
fires and forges. Irving also mentions he has cloven feet and calls him

How The Dol s Fiduciary Rule Will Impact 401
How the DOL s Fiduciary Rule Will Impact 401(k) Plan Sponsors The 401(k) plan is usually at the
back of a plan sponsor s mind. It doesn t renew annually, and it never fights for attention like health
insurance and business insurance renewals do. However, it s time to bring that afterthought to the
forefront. With the Department of Labor s (DOL) Fiduciary Rule, a litany of class action lawsuits and
the fact that 65 percent of DOL audits in 2014 resulted in plan sponsor fines; there is a certain level of
responsibility expected of plan sponsors. The DOL Fiduciary Rule is the byproduct of many of these
class action suits, years of haggling with Wall Street to close loopholes that have existed since 1940,
and the Obama administration s desire to bring objective advice to plan sponsors and participants
alike. Over the next year, before the regulation comes into effect in April 2017, plan sponsors have
important decisions to make, and it s vital to understand what options there are moving forward. How
Will It Affect Plan Sponsors? It s essential for plan sponsors to understand how this new standard will
impact their business practices as well. According to a U.S. Chamber of Commerce issue brief, the
rule affects how investment advice is provided to every 401(k) plan, every IRA, and every rollover or
distribution to or from either. The impact of this reform is sweeping, and given the forecasted
movement of 401(k) and IRA money over the next 20 years, as baby boomers retire, much

Cosmetic History And Facts About The Cosmetic Industry
The cosmetic industry has become such an integral part of the human culture that it often goes on
without notice. In the vast and various cultures across our planet cosmetics are used for multitudes of
reasons from religious expression, camouflage for soldiers in combat, Hollywood sets, to getting
ready for a date. In our culture the use of makeup is almost a rite of passage into young adulthood for
young girls and their mothers. The one question that almost no one ask when they open the make up
container is What harm will this bring me? Our assumption is that what we buy in a store is safe to use
and is normal. But do we wonder how the cosmetic industry came to the conclusion about their
product to support our assumption? According to the website, History of Cosmetics, article: Cosmetic
History and Facts, the use of cosmetics dates back some twelve thousand years to the ancient
Egyptians when they discovered the properties of healing oils. Soon the use of cosmetics grew
throughout their entire population as a way of expression and to honor their gods. Soon almost
everyone wore eyeliner and used scented oils the allure of cosmetics didn t stop even when some of

Example Of The Unsung Heros
Some people view a hero as a man that saves a child from a burning building, or a man that stops the
robber at the bank. Although they re not wrong a hero can be much more, most heros go unheard of
and are not rewarded. On the other hand some heros do get noticed for their courageous acts and are
rewarded with a medal or other objects that signified they have helped the world. The hero s I want to
show you are some of the unsung heros that did great things. I define a hero as being a self sacrificing,
determined, and a brave ordinary person.
Ever seen a hero sacrifice himself for others, if so this is probably a hero like John roberts who put his
life on the line for the greater good. This section of hero usually results in the death of one man to
save many. This example from Listverse.com about 1st Lieutenant John Robert in WW2 shows just
that. Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient and Prince look a like 1st Lieutenant John Robert Fox
was directing artillery fire in the Italian town of Sommocolonia to stall a German advance. While Fox
was directing fire, a large German force moved in on his position.Realising that this force was a huge
threat to his men, Fox called a final artillery strike on himself. When his men eventually retook the
position, Fox s body was found next to approximately 100 dead German troops and a medal was
placed neatly on his chest. This is truly moving who knows if he didn t sacrifice himself it could have
turned the tide for WW2.

The History of Mr. John Deere
The History of Mr. John Deere I will never put my name on a product that does not have the best that
is in me. This is arguably the most famous quote made by Deere and that has stuck with the company
for the last 175 years. Deere was the man who kick started modern farming by inventing the first ever
cast steel plow, as opposed to the much heavier cast iron plow that worked alright in the sandy soil but
the fertile heavy soil of the plains would just stick too. This is how john Deere s steel plow became
known as The Plow That Broke the Plains. Mr. John Deere was born in Rutland Vermont in 1804, and
grew up in nearby Middlebury. Deere was just four years old when his father, William, was lost at sea
and never returned leaving his mother, Sarah Deere, to raise him. Deere was not an only child, living
with five brothers and sisters in a moderately poor family so there was no leftover money for
education. John very rarely attended school and focused his time on work to make money to support
his family. He worked for a few different people, such as farmers and shop keepers but did not stay
with a job for more than a few months at a time. until age 17 when he got an offer for an
apprenticeship working for a blacksmith in a town about 50 miles from home, with his mothers
permission he left home to go to work learning the trade of blacksmithing. Deere was naturally gifted
at working with metal or doing anything with his hands. Eventually Deere set up

Capitalism and the Natural Environment Essay
Concept of capitalism can be difficult to understand. It is commonly identified by economist and
political philosophers as a system in which the means of production are privately owned and operated
in the free market in exchange for a profit (Galbraith, 1952). The economical/social system determines
the structure of production, the allocation of inputs and outputs, and consumption of goods. Capitalism
remains popular in America because it values freedom, much like the people in our country. This is
true because it allows individuals to set their own plans and pursue their own goals; in addition, one
can decide what career they would enjoy most, thus creating an incentive and reward for achieving
ones ambitions. In a free market, everyone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Capitalism leads to the creation of unprecedented wealth, advanced technology, and wide prosperity.
Yet capitalism is denounced as a system of greed, materialism, and ruthless dog eat dog competition
One positive implication capitalism has to the natural environment is industrial ecology, a system of
chain production and consumption, serving to the lowest environmental impacts in a most
environmentally sustainable economy as the main goal of operation (Richards Pearson, 1998). The
Companies in a like to operate in such way because of four major reasons. The most important factor
is known as the corporate well being, for it is determined by higher profits and growth provided by
innovations in an industry. Profits are increased from recognizing the production ineffiency costs that
comes from wasted inputs and energy losses; this allowing cost savings to increase and ineffiency to
decrease. compliance with cleaner technology alternatives such as ones that produce less waste and
less energy will provide long term savings which are both beneficial to the environment and the
business at hand. A real world example freight company changes their salvaged driving equipment to
hybrid vehicles. Money is temporarily lost, but the gasoline and maintenances cost savings will
compensate in a long run period of time.
Industrial ecological systems are also used because of the consumer demand.

Richard III Hero Or Villain Essay
The play Richard III by William Shakespeare involves a character who acts as a protagonist and
antagonist. This character is Richard III, who also happens to be the main character is the play. King
Richard is such a profound character because he s able to play both roles very well. With that being
said, Richard III is seen as protagonist and a villain for many reasons. He is seen as the protagonist of
the play because he dominates the play so much that we can t help but to like him, his monologues are
very calculated and others made fun of him for his appearance which creates sympathy. He is seen as
the villain of the play because he s the reason all the bad things happen to him, he declares himself a

Letters from a Birmingham Jail Essay
Letters from a Birmingham Jail
Aristotle is a very citable man when it comes to the way we think today. His rhetoric techniques are
still being used in today s society. The Neo Aristotelian Criticism is three different appeals of
persuasion. This is ethos, pathos and logos, which makes one heck of a convincing argument. Ethos
gives credibility, pathos shows emotion and logos uses words. In the text, Letter from Birmingham
Jail, we find many examples of the criticism. Martin Luther King Jr. is writing a letter from inside the
jail of Birmingham in April of 1963. This letter King wrote was in response to a letter he received
from the religious leaders after King is making a stand against the racial issues in Alabama. These

has a sense of right and wrong under a religious point of view. King goes on to talk about how this
affiliation is across the south and this goes to show the ethics, because these eighty five groups who
believe the same thing, can t be wrong for what they believe in.
On the fifth page of the text, King gives an example of Adolf Hitler and what he did was legal in
Germany. Hitler was the maker of his own rules for his country, and due to his status didn t make his
actions correct. At that time I m sure there were those who came against Hitler and were punished for
it, just as King was being punished for his stand. Ethics is based on societies views as right and wrong,
not on what is written down in black and white. Today as we look at history we see that Hitler was
wrong for what did, and we see King was right for wanting a better nation for everyone including
African Americans.
Top of the seventh page is another great example of ethos in this letter. Martin Luther King Jr. makes
reference to Jesus, Amos, Paul, Martin Luther, John Bunyan, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson
for all being an extremist. King views himself as an extremist for equality. I think King first makes
note of naming Jesus to refer back to the bases of the clergymen s religion. All these men that he
names were men who stood alone in someway for what they believed in. They all stood for what was
right according to what we see today, but not at the time they made a move.

Healthcare For All Veterans Essay
One of the most serious problems facing all veterans today is the lack of proper healthcare. Soldiers,
sailors and airmen are leaving active duty without having proper healthcare to cover their physical or

Affairs. (VA) According to The department of Veterans Affairs website, The United States Department
of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a government run military veteran benefit system with Cabinet level status.

The goal of the V.A. is to provide quality and timely service to all veterans. The current budget deficit
has made it increasingly difficult for the V.A. to provide the aforementioned services to the veterans.
According to Thomas B. Edsall, in his article about veteran healthcare, Clinics are shutting down, and
appointments delayed (Edsall 1). In both its old and new forms, the VA drew its mission statement
from an extract of President Abraham Lincoln s second inaugural address: to care for him who shall
have borne the battle, and for his widow and his orphan (V.A.) this means that the VA s ultimate
purpose is to take care of veterans.
Current funding for veteran healthcare care is low and insufficient because of the large number of
veterans, who are being discharged from the military as the country transitions to a democratic
President. According to Dr. Rachel Nardin in her article about veteran healthcare, Soldiers get
excellent acute care when injured on active duty, but as revelations of poor conditions for soldiers
receiving ongoing outpatient care at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center highlighted, service
members often have trouble getting the care they need once active duty ends (Nardin 1)
Funding is the first hurdle that has to be overcome in order for all veterans to receive proper
healthcare. The nation is not spending enough money on veteran healthcare programs. Our fighting
men and women earned their

Rejection of Existentialism Essays
In his defense of existentialism, Sartre first defines the unifying factor of existentialism, (for both
atheist and deist alike), as the belief that existence precedes essence. To help illustrate his point he
presents the example of a paper knife, an object that possess a set of qualities that enable it to carry out
its purpose. He states that it would not have been created without a particular purpose, therefore its
essence precedes its existence. (Sartre) Sartre rejects this idea when it comes to mankind and declares
that humans in themselves have no nature and define themselves after coming into existence. This
stems from his atheistic worldview, in which the rejection of a higher power leads him to accept the
fact that humans are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This theory opposes Sartre by stating that humans were not the first to exist, nonetheless the first
higher functioning organism. If the human essence follows its existence and then gives meaning to
life, this is to say that every life form that existed before humanity was of no meaning or had no
purpose. If everything in the world is defined by the meaning humanity ascribes to it, then the world
pre humanity, by default would be meaningless or nonexistent.
From a creationist stand point, existentialism is challenged in a similar aspect. It begs us to ask the
question where did humanity come from? . It is foolish to deny the fact that biologically, humans are
incredibly complex and had to have originated from somewhere, whether that be a higher power or a
series of mutations. Sartre s claim that humans were the first to exist leads us to accept that humans
are in a sense god or the first to exist without being bound by limits of time, space or reason. This in
itself is a contradiction seeing as how humans are mortal and definitely held within certain boundaries.
While existentialism is often closely associated with the idea of free will, I believe that humans can
have free will without believing that existence precedes essence. This brings me back to Sartre s paper
knife argument. While holistically, it is a simple object, it can be divided into thousands of
subcategories, from its physical properties to its molecular

Inequalities In Home And Home Research Paper
Inequalities has a wide range of meanings and it is unique to each person, based on age, gender and
socialisation. Regarding the home and housing, inequalities focus on social disparity of distribution or
opportunity that one has. This essay will focus on comparisons and differences on inequalities in the
home and housing. How and why there are these differences on those who can buy a home, why many
have no choice but to rent and why there are homeless people and those who must squat. Inequalities
are also based at home, as gender differences in roles such as women doing laundry instead of men
can be classed as an inequality.
There are several inequalities within the home, one of which is gender. Gender is significant to the

Women still do twice as much housework than their partners. Technology has developed, this allows
women to have a dual role in the home by working and the unpaid work in the home. However, there
is the underlying question is how does this produce inequality?
Is it that women do the housework because it s what they are supposed to do or is it their nature. This
view is universal across most cultures and some may argue that genetics is the main factor of why
there is inequalities within the home. However, ideology is a focal point behind all explanations of
gender inequality. People s understanding of gender inequalities comes from an innate perception of
what men and women are supposed to do within the home. Feminist sociologist argue that housework

Depreciation vs Depletion
The concept and practice of depreciation and depletion play an integral part in a company s cash flow
and profit or loss statements. Depreciation, according to investopedia is a method of allocating the
cost of a tangible asset over its useful life. Depletion is very similar to depreciation with very subtle
differences, the first one being what is depreciated verses depleted. All assets (except land) are
depreciated but the assets with natural resources are depleted. The methods on how depreciation and
depletion are calculated vary as well. Each will be visited in this essay.

Sum of the Years Digits
The first step is to sum the digits or numbers starting with the life and going back to one. For example,
an asset with a life of 5 would have a sum of digits as follows: 5+ 4+ 3 +2 + 1 = 15
To find the percentage for each year divide the year s digit by the sum. In the example above the
percentage would be calculated as follows:
Year 1
5 / 15 = 33.34%
Year 2
4 / 15 = 26.67%

Persuasive Essay On Acting In Hollywood
What do you want to be when you grow up? is a question that children get asked quite frequently.
Most of the time, a child aims big and chooses an extravagant career, like an astronaut, a police

age. However, acting in Hollywood is a possible career for a child. If a child is talented enough to be a
star, then why not let them pursue their passion? While the life of being an actor in Hollywood seems

there has been a large debate on whether or not acting in Hollywood as a child is as picture perfect as
it seems. Hollywood is filled with tons of secrets. Why should a child be put into such an

After Tomas and Tereza are acquainted by haphazardous events, Tereza arrives in Prague with the sole

the heavy burden that she would impose on his life, Tomas compares his wife to be to an abandoned

happy romantic relationships, neither person can claim ownership of the other. Likewise, Tereza, after
taking ownership of Tomas, seeks no identity beyond her relationship with him, as he alone is able to
unify her body and soul. The first time they met, Tereza felt her soul rushing up through the blood

women. Moreover, Kundera extends the allusion to Sophocles Oedipus Rex later in the novel through
one of Tereza s traumatic dreams in which she has been buried while Tomas has been with other

Chemical Bonds Are An Attraction Between Two Or More Atoms
Chemical Bonds are an attraction between two or more atoms that occur because of an attraction or
force that occurs between the two. Three forms of chemical bonding exist, Ionic and covalent bonding.
In addition, polarity is the electronegativity of two atoms being transferred along the bond. Some
forms of polarity that exist are hydrogen bonds, interstitial forces and vanderwaals reactions.
In the realm of chemical bonding, the strongest form of bonding is covalent bonding. Covalent
bonding is a form of chemical bonding in which two or more atoms share their electrons with each
other for the sake of forming a close centered strong bond. This form of bonding is very important in
that it helps form bonds that are very hard to break to form ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The other form of bonding is nonpolar covalent bonding in which two atoms, usually the same ones,
bond and create a bond with less than 1 electronegativity difference. This difference is due to the
electron amount in each atom being either very similar or the size of the atom being very similar.
Some examples of non polar bonds are H2, I2 and Cl2.
The next form of bonding is Ionic bonding. Ionic bonds are bonds formed when a nonmetal and a
metal come together to form a bond where the electrons are transferred. By transferred, it is meant that
the electrons are sent from the molecule with the less electrons to the molecule with the higher amount
in order to fill its octet. Here, both molecules have their octets filled when the atom with the smaller
amount of electrons loses the extra electrons it has and goes to the lower shell where its octet becomes
full. On the other hand, the atom with the larger amount of electrons has its octet filled when the atom
receives the needed electrons to fill its octet. This creates a bond between the two atoms and leaves
them in a state of ionic bonding. Ionic bonding is characterized by atoms with extremely high boiling
points and very low freezing points. Most ionic bonds form salts, such as the common table salt
known as NaCl. In addition, ionic bonds almost always form molecules that easily dissociate in water.

Explain What Will Happen When Will The Bomb Explode
[lib]Will the bomb explode?[/lib]
By Dame Eliza Bell MP, Member of Parliament for Truro
It has become apparent in recent days and weeks that there is a growning mistrust and even frustration
between the Prime Minister and her Chancellor of the Exchequer notwithstanding the fact that Mrs.
Aylward prefered to present the speech in Parliament on her own, rather than following centuries of
tradition and trusting the minister responsible. Indeed, she didn t even thank her own Cabinet member
for the work or rather mention him at all throughout the whole speech. Moreover, during a press
release, another confusion arrose the release itself claimed that there is a significant degree of mistrust
while the Chancellor s words stated just the opposite. So what next, when will the bomb explode?
It was just several years ago that a political divorce of that kind occured between the then Prime
Minister, Margaret Thatcher, and the then Chancellor Nigel Lawson. As a result, not only the
Conservative government was weakened, but so was the British economy as a ... Show more content

When it comes to this specific case, I do believe that it is important that all sources of mistrust and
uncertainty be revealed to the public and solved the Prime Minister should either seek an agreement
with her Chancellor and make it perfectly clear to the public what had actually happened, or she
should eventually seek a new Cabinet minister for the job otherwise, she would risk both the stability
of the government and the state of the economy. This is a perfect example why our vision to let the
Bank of England, maybe soon to be renamed to the Central Bank of the United Kingdom, authority
over interest rates and monetary policy will prove best for the longer run simply there are no political
clashes which occur and damage the

Antoine-Henri Becquerel s Nobel Prize
I was so excited to wake up today. It is the year 1903. All of my difficult work has finally paid off!
Today is the day I will receive a Nobel Prize. It s not only me who is being awarded this prestigious
prize. My husband, Pierre Curie, and my colleague, Antoine Henri Becquerel, are sharing this prize
with me as well. Sadly, my husband or I cannot attend due to the fact that we are too sick. We have all
dedicated numerous hours to earn award. Everyone has sacrificed something to make this discovery. I,
myself, have worked super hard to receive an education. I grew up in Poland and the Russians did not
want us to have an education, although I was quite intelligent. I eventually was so determined to
obtain an education that I moved to Paris. It was incredibly expensive there to the point to which I
could barely afford to survive. I could afford little food, but I was too stubborn to ask someone for
money. Since I could not afford food, on occasion I fainted in class due to a lack of it. In addition, I
spent the majority of my money on my education. Without being educated, I would not have been able
to discover what I did in order to receive a Nobel Prize along with my colleagues who have also
worked very hard. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Amnesty To Illegal Immigrants Essay
U.S. government should not grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. When the government grant amnesty
to unauthorized immigrants, people who cross the U.S. border illegally would get legal status. As the
population of unauthorized immigrants increased and consequences of granting amnesty were shown,
questions about whether or not unauthorized immigrants should stay in the United States became
controversial. Although some people argue that illegal immigrants pay taxes and work hard, they are
actually harming our society politically and economically. For example, they abuse America public
services such as education and health care system, create heavy burdens for US taxpayers by receiving
more benefits than paying taxes, contribute to crime rates, and take jobs from legal citizens.
In 1986, president Ronald Reagan passed The Immigration Reform and Control Act, ... Show more

The number of undocumented immigrants has exploded from 5 million in 1986 to more than 11
million today (Heubusch, John. What Reagan would do about Immigration. , sks.sirs.com) .
In other words, granting amnesty to illegal immigrants actually stimulate more people to enter our
state illegally. As a result, amnesty should not be granted to undocumented immigrants since it will
not help to reduce population nor do any good for the country.
Amnesty should not be granted to unauthorized immigrants due to its negative impacts to our society.
First, when people look back at the history of undocumented immigrants, they will discover that
passing amnesty will cause more people to come to the country illegally. Second, immigrants are tax
consumers, they created heavy burden for U.S. taxpayers. Third, immigrants take jobs from and lower
the wages of U.S. workers. Lastly, they were contributing to the country s crime rate. All these reasons
can prove that granting amnesty is detrimental to the country and there is no point for the government
to enact

Strasberg Method Acting
Are you wondering what method acting is all about? Below are the basics of this acting method
developed by Lee Strasberg and practiced at the Actors Studio by actors like Marlon Brando and
Geraldine Page.
1) Relaxation
An important goal of this acting method is to get rid of the muscular tensions that keeps the actor s
instrument from being free. Lee Strasberg believed that actors who can relax their muscles reach a
higher state of concentration and responsiveness.
2) Sense Memory and Concentration
The actor develops concentration through sense memory exercises. As the name suggests, sense
memory is the use of the actor s senses to recall objects and experiences. A beginning method actor
will first explore a real object, like a cup of coffee, through all five senses, then put the object down
and try to recall the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Exploring a place with all five senses.
Exploring a personal object with sentimental value.
Re creating the experience of being in private ( the private moment exercise , a great one to deal with
stagefright).
Eventually, an advanced actor will combine several sense memory exercises at once. Not only do
sense memory exercises help method actors believe in the given circumstances of the scene they re
working on, but they give them great focus and concentration.
3) Emotional Memory
Method actors learn to use sense memory to recall emotional experiences from their past. Instead of
trying to remember or force an emotion, the actor tries to re create with his senses the circumstances
surrounding the experience. For example, he would use sense memory to re create where he was at the
time, what he smelled, the sounds he heard, etc. With practice, an accomplished method actor can
trigger the right emotion for his character within seconds by simply recalling a single smell or sound.

Impact Of Management On The Development Of Organizational...
The Hawthorne studies were initiated in 1924 by the management of the Hawthorne plant of the
Western Electric Company in Chicago (Levitt List 2011). The Studies are referred to as the behavior
modifying effects of being the subject of social investigation (Wickstorm Bendix 2000). The leading
man behind the experiments Elton Mayo developed the study to make further inquiry into what factors
affect productivity in the workplace. Ever since the studies were conducted between 1927 and 1933
(Wickstorm Bendix 2000) there has been much speculation of whether or not these results should be
used to make a fundamental change in the development of management in society. This essay will

Stage one of the experiment aimed at examining the effect of changes in working arrangements upon
productivity (Gale 2004). During this stage five girls were transferred from the factory floor to a
special test room where their output of relays was recorded for over two years, during which a large
number of alterations were made to their working conditions (Carey 1967). One of the changes made
was to the illumination values in the factory environment. When the light was cut down to .06 of a
foot candle the girls maintained their efficiency (Carey 1967). They found that only extremely low
illumination caused decreases in levels of production (Broches 2008). According to Carey (1967) the
conclusion came as a great éclaircissement as the founding s were quite different from what they had
expected. The results identified the importance of social satisfactions at work and researches were
puzzled to observe that productivity continued to rise regardless of the changes made to the physical
working environment. At the end of the two years the results found that the girls output had increased
by about 30 percent (Carey 1967) and physicians indicated improved workers health and a decrease in
absenteeism (Broches 2008). Due to the steady increase in output the investigators took into

 • 2. The Tyger Tone I wondered this lonely cloud T: The poem s title suggests a close relationship with nature and that this poem is about someone without company. P P: The speaker compares himself to a cloud that floats alone over the hills when he sees a lot of daffodils in the field. The speaker tells the audience that now whenever he is alone in his study thinking, he thinks back to the daffodils and the waves and he feels glad. C: This poem has multiple examples of metaphor and simile, one even appearing in the title. To be compared to a cloud can imply that you are gloomy, a lone grey storm cloud ready to rain. A: The author s attitude is that nature lifts the spirit, and can cause a lonely and sad man feel glad again. The speaker seems to feel the same, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... S: There are no obvious shifts in this poem for me T: The title seems to be an attack on leaders who try and preserve their legacies. My Unknown Colonies Unknown #3 Report To start off unknown #3, I picked out O17 from rack A and wrote down my name, date, class, and I first noticed the broth was a light yellow that was quite cloudy or milky. Soon later I streaked my organism onto a TSA plate and incubated it at 37oC for 24 hours, t was almost a perfect plate. There was no contamination; I could tell it there was only one species on the plate and that it was okay for me to move on. There were many isolated colonies in quadrants 3 and 4. The colonies were small and white in color, it was not translucent. I then began to make my 2 slants, inoculating a straight line on each slant, I incubated it at 37oC for 24 hours. The next day, I made sure my slants were pure and also there was a thick line of organism where I had inoculated with a yellow white color. At this point, only one organism matched every result that I received during all my tests, I decided to do my confirmation test. I did Methyl Red and Voges Proskauer tests for my confirmation test. After inoculating the MRVP broth and incubating it at 37oC for 120 hours, I took my separated samples to the hood and added in the Methyl Red in one tube and reagent A then B in the other tube, I mixed it and checked in on both tubes after every 10 minutes. • 4. Leadership Approach Paper – Behavioral Approach Leadership Approach Paper Organizations depend on the management and leadership skills of individuals in order to be successful. Leaders do not have to be managers but are equally important. Leaders are individuals who possess traits, behavior and abilities to influence others to accomplish tasks and other needed objectives for the company. Leadership is defined as the ability of an individual to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward the effectiveness and success of the organization. . . . (House et al., 1999, pg. 184). According to Yuki, G. (2010) there are five different leadership approaches that are being researched. These five approaches are: 1. Trait approach 2. Behavior approach 3. Power influence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is a not an easy task to change behavior, especially if a person is not interested in change. This is approach seems to best fit my personal leadership approach. Looking back at my previous employment as a financial associate at Boone County National Bank, I can relate to the definition of the behavioral approach. I was always concerned about given tasks and people. My behavior influenced others to follow and start behaving the same way I did. A great example is the way I used to deal with my customers. I was friendly, concerned with their business and ensured that they were well taken care of. By being concerned and open minded, I completed sales and other branch needed tasks without pushing or forcing myself on someone. With a combination of traits and behavior me and my colleagues made a great team and were able to complete all tasks on time, efficiently and effectively as well as satisfy all of our customers and managers. Looking back over the accomplishments of the branch I worked in as well as my personal accomplishments, I feel proud of what I have helped accomplish. Conclusion Understanding the difference between effective management and effective leadership is important. Leaders are not always born leaders; they can be formed into leaders if that is what they want. All five leadership approaches combined would form the perfect leader but each individual has special traits and behaviors that can make one into a leader. The behavioral ... It is Jewish belief that God established a special covenant with the people of Israel in which he would bless them above other peoples of the earth for which they were required to strictly obey his law. The Abrahamic covenant is an unconditional covenant which was made between Abraham and God, and ultimately God and Abraham s descendants. The Abrahamic Covenant is paramount to a proper understanding of the kingdom concept and is foundational to Old Testament theology. There are many elements that include promise of land, descendants, blessing, redemption, and a Messiah. This covenant is thought to be a very critical part of the Judaic religion and also very critical to all the things they believe in. Judaism has its earliest genesis in the story of Abraham and Sarah in the book of Genesis in the bible. Abraham was the first man to follow a monotheistic religion, meaning that he believed in only one God. • 9. Analysis Of Fleetwood Mac s Rumours There is no doubt that Fleetwood Mac s Rumours is one of the most iconic rock albums of all time. The album skyrocketed the band into fame and success with Grammy nominations, millions of sold copies and four top ten singles. However, behind the scenes of Fleetwood Mac s success was a group of people falling apart. The band was in chaos, filled with anger, passion and heartache and you can clearly hear this turmoil in their lyrics. During the making of Rumours, Fleetwood Mac s two couples John McVie and Christine McVie, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were in the midsts of high tension breakups. The McVie s were divorcing and Nicks and Buckingham, longtime lovers, were separating; Of course, not without some affairs mixed into the madness. Tensions were high as the band s songwriters channeled their frustrations, often used as cross dialogues to one another, to create the songs that would then become the musical soap opera, Rumours. One of the first songs on the album, Go Your Own Way truly encompasses the emotion the couples were feeling. The song starts with the powerful line: loving you isn t the right thing to do / how can I ever change things that I feel? From the bat, the song, written by Buckingham, is an ode to the broken relationships within the band. In other words, the lyric means that things aren t working out between him and Nicks, yet he can t help but love her still. The relationship causes him sadness and pain, for he cannot help the way he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition, he describes each character in a manner that the readers can infer who they are, their personal characteristics, and the decisions that they might make throughout the development of the story. Secondly, the swamp was covered with great trees, fair and flourishing without, but rotten at the core. Tom Walker noticed that the trees had the names of some influential and good people of the colony. For instance, there was a tree with the name of Deacon Peabody, an eminent man who had waxed wealthy by driving shrewd bargains with the Indians. Also, there was another tree with the name of Crowninshield... a mighty rich man...who made a vulgar display of wealth which it was whispered he had acquired by buccaneering. These situations showed that the people that seemed to be good Samaritans among the community had gotten their power through ill gotten ways, so their appearance conveyed nothing of what their true selves were. Furthermore, the author never mentions directly that the devil is present in the story, but he gives out clues so the reader can infer it. For example, he mentions he was dressed in a rude, half Indian garb, and had a red belt... swathed round his body... his face was begrimed with soot, as if he had been accustomed to toil among fires and forges. It doesn t renew annually, and it never fights for attention like health insurance and business insurance renewals do. However, it s time to bring that afterthought to the forefront. With the Department of Labor s (DOL) Fiduciary Rule, a litany of class action lawsuits and the fact that 65 percent of DOL audits in 2014 resulted in plan sponsor fines; there is a certain level of responsibility expected of plan sponsors. The DOL Fiduciary Rule is the byproduct of many of these class action suits, years of haggling with Wall Street to close loopholes that have existed since 1940, and the Obama administration s desire to bring objective advice to plan sponsors and participants alike. Over the next year, before the regulation comes into effect in April 2017, plan sponsors have important decisions to make, and it s vital to understand what options there are moving forward. How Will It Affect Plan Sponsors? It s essential for plan sponsors to understand how this new standard will impact their business practices as well. According to a U.S. Chamber of Commerce issue brief, the rule affects how investment advice is provided to every 401(k) plan, every IRA, and every rollover or distribution to or from either. This is arguably the most famous quote made by Deere and that has stuck with the company for the last 175 years. Deere was the man who kick started modern farming by inventing the first ever cast steel plow, as opposed to the much heavier cast iron plow that worked alright in the sandy soil but the fertile heavy soil of the plains would just stick too. This is how john Deere s steel plow became known as The Plow That Broke the Plains. Mr. John Deere was born in Rutland Vermont in 1804, and grew up in nearby Middlebury. Deere was just four years old when his father, William, was lost at sea and never returned leaving his mother, Sarah Deere, to raise him. Deere was not an only child, living with five brothers and sisters in a moderately poor family so there was no leftover money for education. John very rarely attended school and focused his time on work to make money to support his family. He worked for a few different people, such as farmers and shop keepers but did not stay with a job for more than a few months at a time. until age 17 when he got an offer for an apprenticeship working for a blacksmith in a town about 50 miles from home, with his mothers permission he left home to go to work learning the trade of blacksmithing. It is commonly identified by economist and political philosophers as a system in which the means of production are privately owned and operated in the free market in exchange for a profit (Galbraith, 1952). The economical/social system determines the structure of production, the allocation of inputs and outputs, and consumption of goods. Capitalism remains popular in America because it values freedom, much like the people in our country. His rhetoric techniques are still being used in today s society. The Neo Aristotelian Criticism is three different appeals of persuasion. This is ethos, pathos and logos, which makes one heck of a convincing argument. Ethos gives credibility, pathos shows emotion and logos uses words. In the text, Letter from Birmingham Jail, we find many examples of the criticism. Martin Luther King Jr. is writing a letter from inside the jail of Birmingham in April of 1963. King goes on to talk about how this affiliation is across the south and this goes to show the ethics, because these eighty five groups who believe the same thing, can t be wrong for what they believe in. On the fifth page of the text, King gives an example of Adolf Hitler and what he did was legal in Germany. Hitler was the maker of his own rules for his country, and due to his status didn t make his actions correct. At that time I m sure there were those who came against Hitler and were punished for it, just as King was being punished for his stand. Ethics is based on societies views as right and wrong, not on what is written down in black and white. Today as we look at history we see that Hitler was wrong for what did, and we see King was right for wanting a better nation for everyone including African Americans. Top of the seventh page is another great example of ethos in this letter. Martin Luther King Jr. makes reference to Jesus, Amos, Paul, Martin Luther, John Bunyan, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson for all being an extremist. King views himself as an extremist for equality. I think King first makes note of naming Jesus to refer back to the bases of the clergymen s religion. Rejection of Existentialism Essays In his defense of existentialism, Sartre first defines the unifying factor of existentialism, (for both atheist and deist alike), as the belief that existence precedes essence. To help illustrate his point he presents the example of a paper knife, an object that possess a set of qualities that enable it to carry out its purpose. He states that it would not have been created without a particular purpose, therefore its essence precedes its existence. This theory opposes Sartre by stating that humans were not the first to exist, nonetheless the first higher functioning organism. If the human essence follows its existence and then gives meaning to life, this is to say that every life form that existed before humanity was of no meaning or had no purpose. If everything in the world is defined by the meaning humanity ascribes to it, then the world pre humanity, by default would be meaningless or nonexistent. From a creationist stand point, existentialism is challenged in a similar aspect. It begs us to ask the question where did humanity come from? . It is foolish to deny the fact that biologically, humans are incredibly complex and had to have originated from somewhere, whether that be a higher power or a series of mutations. Sartre s claim that humans were the first to exist leads us to accept that humans are in a sense god or the first to exist without being bound by limits of time, space or reason. This in itself is a contradiction seeing as how humans are mortal and definitely held within certain boundaries. While existentialism is often closely associated with the idea of free will, I believe that humans can have free will without believing that existence precedes essence. The next form of bonding is Ionic bonding. Ionic bonds are bonds formed when a nonmetal and a metal come together to form a bond where the electrons are transferred. By transferred, it is meant that the electrons are sent from the molecule with the less electrons to the molecule with the higher amount in order to fill its octet. Here, both molecules have their octets filled when the atom with the smaller amount of electrons loses the extra electrons it has and goes to the lower shell where its octet becomes full. • 43. Antoine-Henri Becquerel s Nobel Prize I was so excited to wake up today. It is the year 1903. All of my difficult work has finally paid off! Today is the day I will receive a Nobel Prize. It s not only me who is being awarded this prestigious prize. My husband, Pierre Curie, and my colleague, Antoine Henri Becquerel, are sharing this prize with me as well. Sadly, my husband or I cannot attend due to the fact that we are too sick. We have all dedicated numerous hours to earn award. Everyone has sacrificed something to make this discovery. I, myself, have worked super hard to receive an education. I grew up in Poland and the Russians did not want us to have an education, although I was quite intelligent. I eventually was so determined to obtain an education that I moved to Paris. It was incredibly expensive there to the point to which I could barely afford to survive. I could afford little food, but I was too stubborn to ask someone for money. Since I could not afford food, on occasion I fainted in class due to a lack of it. In addition, I spent the majority of my money on my education. Without being educated, I would not have been able to discover what I did in order to receive a Nobel Prize along with my colleagues who have also worked very hard. ... Although some people argue that illegal immigrants pay taxes and work hard, they are actually harming our society politically and economically. For example, they abuse America public services such as education and health care system, create heavy burdens for US taxpayers by receiving more benefits than paying taxes, contribute to crime rates, and take jobs from legal citizens. The Studies are referred to as the behavior modifying effects of being the subject of social investigation (Wickstorm Bendix 2000). Stage one of the experiment aimed at examining the effect of changes in working arrangements upon productivity (Gale 2004). During this stage five girls were transferred from the factory floor to a special test room where their output of relays was recorded for over two years, during which a large number of alterations were made to their working conditions (Carey 1967). One of the changes made was to the illumination values in the factory environment. When the light was cut down to .06 of a foot candle the girls maintained their efficiency (Carey 1967). They found that only extremely low illumination caused decreases in levels of production (Broches 2008). According to Carey (1967) the conclusion came as a great éclaircissement as the founding s were quite different from what they had expected. The results identified the importance of social satisfactions at work and researches were puzzled to observe that productivity continued to rise regardless of the changes made to the physical working environment. At the end of the two years the results found that the girls output had increased by about 30 percent (Carey 1967) and physicians indicated improved workers health and a decrease in absenteeism (Broches 2008).
