This document discusses utilizing various Web 2.0 technologies in classrooms, including blogging which allows regular commentary and media entries displayed in reverse chronological order, wikis that enable users to collaboratively add and update content through a web browser, personal learning networks and social media, programming applications, and other Web 2.0 apps such as YouTube which can share video content.

A blog (a contraction of the term
weblog) is a type of website, usually

Entries are commonly displayed in
reverse-chronological order.
Wikis
A wiki is a Web site that allows
users to add and update content on
the site using their own Web
browser. This is made possible by
Wiki software that runs on the Web
server. Wikis end up being created
mainly by a collaborative effort of
the site visitors.
