  • 2. Be a PROactive PROfessional Response-Ability: The ability to choose your response Taking initiative and recognizing responsibility Direct, Indirect, and No Control Circle of Influence vs. Circle of Concern
  • 3. Running towards a Goal Prioritizing what our results will look like Personal Mission Statement Security, Guidance, Wisdom, Power Alternative Centers Leadership and Management
  • 4. First things first: setting priorities ● Habits 1 + 2 = habit 3 (physical result) ● Time management and self management ● Emphasis on important but not urgent things ● Divert time from less important things
  • 5. It’s a WIN/WIN! ● Everyone benefits: end result is a synergistic solution/third path ● No scarcity – there is enough for all ● No room for compromise: win/win or no deal
  • 6. Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood Deeply understand the problem first Listen empathetically Present your own ideas clearly, specifically, visually and contextually
  • 7. Synergize Work together Combine your strengths Pick up on each other’s weak points Bring each other up
