Intervening within the systematic catenation of disorder to prevent the required sequencing or catenation of disorders - according to the diathesis predisposition or "pressurization" theory.

within the Diathesis Stress model to
intervene with the development and
progress of disorder.
The textbook Health Psychology by Brannon, Updegraff and Feist (2014) states that stress
comes from the environment causing stress, which initiates the nervous system, in which activates and
takes place in and upon the body. The idea that I find most respectful, universal, accurate, and possibly
prolific, is that of the diathesis stress model.
The diathesis stress model (the model that disease, illness, sickness, and vulnerability come from
a predisposition and pressure to this predisposition) is an absolute essential for medical know-how,
even if all sickness cannot be rooted to through this method. What is most essential about the diathesis
stress model, is that even without a genetic disposition, a “reoccurring stress” or a reoccurring “threat”
to the allostatic load, one can develop a predisposition to an illness and then in turn be more vulnerable
to smaller amounts of stress. When one is more “vulnerable” to a threat to their health, and are
especially sensitive to smaller amounts, they are then automatically more at risk, and this becomes a
major problem when relating this “predisposition” to harmful diseases or more serious conditions, or
even exposures, repeated exposures or exploitation, abuse, maltreatment or trauma.

2. The idea of medical psychological intervention would be to protect and armor people both
consciously and unconsciously, psychologically, to assist them to avoid major disorders. This is a “major”
connection of health and biology between psychology and psychogenesis, psychoneuroimmunology,
and epidemiology / physiology. (Brannon, Updegraff, Feist, 2017). Perhaps one key to preventing
disorders are to understand the disorders, the triggers and initiating circumstances to the onset of
disorders (to all degrees) and then accommodating these onsets with prevention to entirely impede or
obstruct the processes or circumstances from happening at all. If we were to understand an illness or
disorder, and if we were able to pinpoint the concatenation of the onset and the conditions needed for
onset, a priori, we then have the ability to intervene appropriately to prevent illness, disease or
disorder.
As we know from practices in aerospace, if we can make the plane fly, we then can build a
vehicle designed to be airborne; thus, if we know how a disorder develops, we then have the needed
context to prevent the disease at all in beginning stages and using and examining / assessing for warning
signs and relevant symptomology. Using deductive reasoning within the conceptualization of the
diathesis stress model, we can potentially prevent disorder if we can glean within the known stages of
the disorder and modify the context, or intervene between the known premises of the disorder to
initiate stage changes. By identifying such factors and intermingling / interrupting the concatenation of
the known stages or processes we may then understand how to interrupt these stages to disjoin the
compound arrangement of the disorder, in process to detach the sequencing in the biological,
environment, or genetic factors that are known to unite before the disorder is in full onset.
