This document outlines a brief solution focused career counseling process. The process involves the client identifying an issue and desired changes, scaling goals and searching for past successes. The counselor and client then develop a plan to move forward, revisiting goals and creating solutions, with the counselor asking further questions if needed.

1. Client identifies the issue to be addressed.
2. Client identifies the changes and goals to be made and scales the goals.
3. Client is encouraged to search for exceptions.
4. Client identifies personal strengths and strategies use din the past successes that can be used to
resolve this problem.
5. Follow up sessions the counselor and the client revisit the goal and scale it and develop a plan to move
toward problem resolutions.
6. The counselor may engage in second order questioning of the client is stuck.
