Difference Between Linguistic And Linguistic Studies
In the following essay, I am going to present a comparison between two linguistic studies.
Constructing another Language Usage Based Linguistics in Second Language Acquisition by
Eskildsen and Sources of Linguistic Knowledge in the second language acquisition of English articles
by Ionin, Zubizarreta, and Maldonado are going to be contrasted regarding their theoretical
frameworks, research questions and research designs together with the conclusions reached.
Reading the two studies, certain conclusions regarding their theoretical framework can be drawn. The
first article provides Usage Based linguistics view of language learning as mainly based on experience
and item, with particular formulas used at the beginning and then resulting to general constructions
(e.g. Dabrowska 2000; Tomasello 2003; Dabroswka and Lieven 2005). On the other hand, Ionin,
Zubbizarreta, and Maldonado, study adopts a theoretical framework that primarily focuses on the
aspects of linguistic knowledge, namely the L2 input, L1 transfer and the inherent linguistic
knowledge (Universal Grammar) that influence the acquisition of English articles by second language
learners.
Each of the studies also examine research questions related to their domains. The first one explores the
relationship between the application of Usage Based linguistics and issues in second language
acquisition, as well as how type and token frequencies used by learners can reflect schematicity of
learner language representation

Discussion Of The Linguistic Factors In Macbeth
Chapter Five
Discussion and Conclusion
5.1. Overview
This section presents the discussion on the analysis of the result gathered from the four translations of
two literary books. First, the analysis of the linguistic factors thoroughly. Second, the analysis of the
extra linguistic factors is expressed. Then, it is followed by the conclusion of the study, the
pedagogical implications of the study, and the limitation of the study likewise. Finally, this chapter
ends with some suggestions for further research.
5.2. Discussion of the Linguistic Factors
With respect to the linguistic factors namely: semantic elements, grammatical elements, lexical
elements, and stylistic elements, it was shown that in translation of the book Macbeth, in all these four
elements, the bestseller translation followed the Reiss indicators more than the non bestseller
translation did. However, when it comes to the book Waiting for Godot the numbers were totally
different. That is to say, in all elements, except for the stylistic factor, the non bestseller translation ...

But in Waiting for Godot (1959) translation, the one which reached the highest numbers was the non
bestseller translation. Furthermore, in the extra linguistic elements, in Macbeth translation, In almost
all factors, the Ashouri`s translation (2014) again gained the highest percentage in following the Reiss
model; except for the place and the speaker factor in which both the bestseller and the failure
translation got the same numbers. However, in Waiting for Godot translation, the numbers were not
equal and there were times when the bestseller reached the peak and some other time the failure was
in top place. Here again in subject matter and an affective implication both the bestseller and the non
bestseller reached an equal

The Immigration Administration Of New Zealand Essay
New Zealand (NZ) ranks very well in quality of living standards globally and thereby makes it a
sought after destination for immigration. To ensure protection of interest of immigrants and to
safeguard the reputation of New Zealand as a top destination of choice the Immigration Advisers
function is regulated via implementation of the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007 ( The Act ).
In the case of ZW v Immigration Advisers Authority, Judge Priestley J rightly stated that Parliament s
objective for passing the Act was to clean up the Immigration Advisers industry, which was subject to
much justified criticism; towards providing an improved system of transparency, competency,
Conduct Code and acceptable standards of service (ZW v Immigration Advisers Authority [2012]
NZHC 1069 at [41]).
This Act managed to build an overarching legal architecture with clear operating regime, defined
stakeholders accountabilities, well defined process steps and created necessary checks balances to
protect all involved. The Act sits at the centre of the Legal framework that holds the Immigration
Advisory function and creates the necessary safeguards to protect consumers and enhance the New
Zealand s reputation by regulating the practice of providing immigration advice both onshore and
offshore.
Immigration New Zealand (INZ) function sits within the Ministry of Business, Innovation and
Employment, and aims to increase the economic and social framework of NZ by facilitating and
ensuring

The Messenger Techniques
Marcus Zusak s techniques he employs in The Messenger significantly reflects how the reader views
The Messenger. Marcus Zusak firstly uses personification frequently in The Messenger. The reason it
is an important technique is because it gives the reader new ideas. He secondly uses humor recurrently
in the novel. This then gives the reader some enjoyment in the book and not just always fear and
sadness. He thirdly uses a technique that not many authors use in their novels where he incorporates
himself into the novel and that then triggers different ideas in the readers mind on what is reality and
what is a book. The way Zusak writes and what techniques he integrates into the novel then gives
more enjoyment to the reader.
The main idea that Zusak employs is the use of personification and how that increased the readers
enjoyment of the novel. For example, when Zusak uses personification when the deck of cards is some
one s life. For example, each suite in the deck is a different event in their life. in the novel each suite is
a different chapter, the spades in real life mean death and in the novel on the Spades chapter someone
dies. At the Chapter of the Joker which is end of the novel where Ed is free to do what every he likes.
The reason why the chapter is under the joker is because it is usually the wild card in real life card
game where you be any card you like. So, in the final event of the novel Ed is granted ... Show more

for example, at the start of the book on how he uses the bank robbery scene as a humor scene between
the bank robber and Ed. The humor Zusak is your ordinary humor it is your kind of crude humor
where you laugh where it isn t funny when you think about it. Zusak then mixes crude humor into this
bank robbery scene. That then gives the reader some fun enjoyment and more appreciation towards the
messenger because of this

My High School Job
Upon receiving my state of Florida high school diploma, I plan to immediately begin working a part
time job. I will be working this job to save enough money to go to my dream college, Full Sail
University, as soon as possible. By going to this college I can pursue my love of art and apply that to
models in video games. By going to Full Sail, in particular, I feel that I may have a better chance of
successfully getting a job in that field. I have already planned out my future, and have been doing so
since seventh grade. I wanted to be prepared by the time I graduated because I knew how quickly the
Real World can hit someone out of graduation.
For my future academics, I plan on attending SFSC to take Landscape and Horticulture Professional
classes. This way ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If I don t go to Full Sail, if I don t get into any game art college courses, if I don t get hired by a game

I can learn under my Grandfather s wing. I also have the options of learning from my mother and
stepfather, so I will never be short on work or knowledge. Since I will eventually be inheriting my
Grandfather s farm, I do believe that sticking to this profession is the best decision I can make for my
future. While it is good to plan out your future, it can be worrying if even one precaution was not met
for an unforeseen circumstance. It s worrying because that means that no matter how long you planned
your future, not everything works out the way you planned. Even with how many safety nets I have
placed to safeguard my future, there is no guarantee that I have enough to catch me when I fall. Even

Martin Luther King And Malcolm X
Civil rights activists all had the same paramount goal in mind: equality for Black people in the United
States. While everyone could generally agree on what they wanted fair wages, an end to segregation,
voting rights the means to the end were a little fuzzy, at best. What was the best strategy to gain
respect for the Black people of America, in a society that largely didn t tolerate people of color? Two
major philosophies on the matter stemmed from the minds of great activists Martin Luther King, Jr.
and Malcolm X. Dr. King s approach to the situation was, as always, peaceful protest, while Malcolm
X promoted supporting Black business and communities, allowing them to prosper. While both
approaches would bring about positive change for the Black community in the 60 s, Malcolm X s
approach to the matter makes a more compelling argument by being significantly more beneficial in
the long run.
Both Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X agreed that boycotting white only industries was a
sound method of protest against white supremacy in the economy. However, Dr. King s approach to
the problem ended there. This is not to say that his boycotts weren t effective at all: according to the
article provided, Operation Breadbasket have increased the income of the Negro community by more
than two million dollars annually (King), showing that King s plans weren t all just idealistic
nonsense, which is what Malcolm X most disagreed with in terms of political philosophy. Operation
Breadbasket, the Chicago plan to boycott products from companies that refused to hire Black people
and treat them fairly, succeeded temporarily. Dr. King s boycotting approach cut profits in white only
industries in Chicago and forced them to hire Black people and pay them fair wages, both
substantially beneficial to the Black community. Where Dr. King s plans fall short, however, is in
securing this change and preventing power from slipping back into the hands of white supremacists.
This is why, though a respectable approach, boycotting alone is not enough to evoke lasting,
meaningful change in a community built on oppression and subjugation.
Malcolm X boycotted white industry as well, but the extra steps in his plan went beyond that

Keurig Case Analysis
Strategic Issue: Throughout the case, it becomes clear that competition may be hindering your product
from leading the market. A limited amount of compact company resources and the constant
technological advancements may prevent the company from performing to the best of its capabilities.
In order to address this issue, we recommend that you investigate our recommendations to increase
market share by implementing the strategies that will be discussed in this memorandum.
Strategic Analysis:
Strengths: When it comes to the market for single serve coffee products, Keurig holds strong
recognition. Keurig has many popular branding partners such as: Green Mountain Coffee, Bigelow
Tea Company and Caribou Coffee. Other strengths unique to Keurig are the intellectual property and
intangible resources that you possess. Keurig s patents on the machines and their use hold great value.
The widely available nature of Keurig allows for its distribution throughout multiple channels. These
products have gained recognition in supermarkets, restaurants, convenience stores, offices, and hotels.
Weaknesses: Keurig s relatively low expenditures on advertising result in a low global recognition.
Green Mountain Coffee Roaster s inability to predict the K Cup demand and warranty issues also
should be considered as weaknesses. With the change in technology, consumers are always expecting
more and Keurig has to keep up with new demands as well as product innovation.

Downfall of Education System was No School Prayer
Since prayer was removed from public school classrooms in 1962, we have had a 6 fold increase in
violent crime, our divorce rate has tripled, births to single mothers have increased 5 fold, the teenage
suicide rate has tripled, and SAT scores have dropped 10%.(Creation Today). Reasons that represent
why prayer and moments of silence should be allowed in the public school system will be expressed.
This essay will represent the affirmative stance when regarding this topic of school wide prayer and
moments of silence. It is not coincidental that there has been an increase in births to single mothers,
divorce rates tripling, and teenage suicide increasing. Allowing prayer in schools has set valuable
standards and morals for graduates and current pupils. Currently ninety percent of the countries kids
are enrolled in the public school system being influenced every single day they are present. Proven by
previously mentioned statistics, the majority of morals clearly dropped after the removal of prayer in
public schools in 1962. Without prayer, people have become more and more obliterate to God based
values, this causes people to neglect crucial things such as the sacredness of marriage. After 1963
divorces increased by 300% each following year (Prayer in America) Many argue and take to the
opposition that marriage is just a piece of paper, when in all generality, it is a gift from God. Single

1920 American Gangsters
Gangs have existed in the United States for over 200 years. It all started when the first immigrants
came to the U.S.A. Most of them came for a better life but many of them ended up in poverty. The
first gangs were formed among poor adolescents who grouped together for the sake of socialisation
and protection. They were of the same race or the same ethnic background. The first known gang
specialized in crimes was called The Five Points . They consisted of Irish immigrants and was
established in New York City. They dressed in a specific way and used monikers or nicknames.
Another early gang were the Forty Thieves . Their gang leader was Edward Coleman and they formed

While they might sport the tattoos, the jackets, colors, and signs, often these members are only
tangentially affiliated. According to much of the available literature, tattoos also serve as a badge of
protection against coercion from other gangs (Jackson and McBride 1985). In the current study,
tattoos signify a number of different and personal matters, only one of which gang membership and a
warning to others. At any rate, it is very clear that some youths engage in more gang activity than
others; some might be called the wannabes who move out of the influence of the gang on the basis of
whether or not a program of interest intercepts drawing them completely away from the gang. Within
the wannabes there are many little brothers and sisters, sometimes referred to as pee wees. However,
on separate and certain occasions they are sent home by their older siblings when something was
about to happen for which only older members were being mobilized. Moreover, I am going to go into
explicit detail on two Hispanic gangs The Mexican Mafia, the Nuestra Familia, and the Latin Kings.
The Mexican Mafia started in late 1957. Gangs that participate in the Mexican Mafia (EME) politics

Descriptive Essay About Country
Often when the word country is brought up, people think of big trucks, the song Big Green Tractor by
Jason Aldean, taking a four wheeler through the mud, and sometimes even a confederate flag.
However, country can not be bought at a store. It s something to be born with. Country isn t just a
bunch of dumb rednecks, as it is normally associated with. Country runs much deeper. To me, Country
is a way of life that makes yourself work the hardest you can, love the most you can, and create
memories in the great outdoors that can never be forgotten. One of my favorite songs of all time
comes from Luke Bryan; That s What Country is . In the song, Bryan says It aint a rebel flag you
bought at the mall it s a hide away bed in an old horse stall, two kids getting caught stealing a Boones
Farm kiss. This is my favorite verse because Bryan takes the highly thought belief that country is
defined by rebel flags and simply says that it is not true. Instead of a confederate flag labeling country,
country is two kids making memories that they will never forget (Even thought it might not be
completely legal). Later in the verse, Bryan says It aint a John Deere cap that s never fell in the cotton,
it s a Jimmie Rodgers song that was long forgotten. Its homemade peach ice cream on sunburnt lips,
that s what country is. This relates to me directly. Every year my family and I will go out to the strip of
apple trees on the farm, pick the apples, peel them, and my dad cooks up applesauce

The Failure Of Northern Rock In The Light Of Banking...
The Failure of Northern Rock in the Light of Banking Economics and Regulation
Introduction
Increasing global connectivity and integration in today s world ensures that almost any serious
problem has worldwide ramifications. The global financial system can serve as a key example of this
phenomenon. Very recently, Britain s fifth largest mortgage lender Northern Rock was rescued by
emergency funding from the Bank of England. This made the Newcastle based firm the highest profile
UK victim of the global credit crunch that had been triggered by the sub prime mortgage crisis in the
US. The bank run on Northern Rock that followed was unprecedented in recent UK monetary history.

The crisis broke in August when French bank BNP Paribas suspended three of its investment funds
with exposures to the troubled US sub prime market. Since it was believed that many banks had
invested in similar securities, many banks felt that they did not know enough about the solvency of the
banks to which they may lend to and how much losses they had suffered as a result of their exposures
in the impaired US mortgage market. Subsequently, the lending on the inter bank market came to a
halt.
Northern Rock s Business Model
Although all banks were facing greater than normal difficulties in acquiring funds given the lack of
credit that was available on the global institutional debt markets, Northern Rock was hit harder than
most. Its core business was, and still is, residential mortgage lending. Northern Rock was the biggest
provider of mortgages in the UK in the first half of 2007. It sold up to 19% of all new mortgage
policies during that time. However, it had a comparatively smaller deposit base meaning that most of
its funding came from sources besides deposits from ordinary retail customers. Famously, seventy five
percent of its funding came from the wholesale money markets and just twenty five percent from retail
funding. Additionally, like many other banks, Northern Rock extensively engaged in packaging many
of its mortgage assets into special purpose companies and raised funds in the wholesale market by

Cause And Effect Of Video Games
The Effects of Video Games
Taz Ramsay
Lamar Community College
The Effects of Video Games Video games have been around since the early 1970 s . Computer Space
was the first video game to be produced, and it was created and developed by a company called
Nutting Associates. In 1972, a company called Atari introduced a game called Pong . Atari was formed
by a person named Nolan Bushnell, a developer of Computer Space, who left Nutting Associates to
found Atari, which then produced Pong. Pong was the first successful commercial arcade video game .
(How Stuff Works, 2017) How is a video game made? A video game is taken through a step by step
process requiring five main steps. The first step to making the video game is the design or layout of
the video game. The next step is to grabbing the materials needed to make the game. The materials
needed to make the game are different for each game, and it is based on the game and/or game
console. The third step in making a video game is going through the manufacturing process. The steps
include creating the story, captioning the games action with art, recording dialogue and sound effects,
writing the program, testing the game, burning the game or disc, and packaging the game. These are
all important for the next step of the next step in making the game, which is ensuring the quality of the
game. The final step is improvement, because the producers want people to buy more games or stuff
to help unlock stuff in the game.

Analysis Of Unforgiven
Unforgiven is a 1992 Western film which was produced, directed, and starred by Clint Eastwood. The
adventure of William Munny, a vicious murderer in the past who has killed innocent women and
children, started when The Schofield Kid approached Munny in his farm and asked him if he wanted
to help in killing two of the cowboys who slashed one of the prostitutes just because the woman
giggled at one of the cowboy s tiny pecker. However, Little Bill Daggett, the sheriff, just fined the two
cowboys with six horses to be given to the saloon keeper instead of arresting and beating them up; this
nonchalant response of the sheriff outraged the other prostitutes. The girls pooled all of their savings,
which amounted to $1,000, and used that money as a reward to anybody who would kill the two
cowboys who slashed up their friend. The film was unique because of the way Clint Eastwood
presented violence and killing in an interesting way and in a new light wherein the line between good
and evil was a little blurred. The thought provoking title of the film also added a unique touch to this
film. The form of violence in the film was presented in different ways some are subtle, but some are
more obvious. The way that the prostitutes offered bounty for the death of the two cowboys serves as
a silent form of violence and protest, which represents the hatred that they feel because they are
belittled and mistreated by the people just because they are prostitutes: Just because we let them

The Characteristics Of Serial Killers
The Killer Clown, is a nickname many won t forget. Throughout the 1970 s, this man quietly
rampaged the streets of a suburb in Chicago, kidnapping young men and shattering the lives of their
families. He carried out his crimes until he was captured in the late 70s. The killer clown was revealed
to be the man known as John Wayne Gacy. His case was very unique. He struggled with his sexuality
and even had an alter ego known as Pogo the Clown (Morrison). According to Gacy, this alter ego
controlled who he was and forced him to kill. Cases like Gacy s is where the question of insanity
appears. This has led many forensic psychologists to raise the question of if there is really something
wrong with the minds of serial killers.
Even though the topic of serial killers has become increasingly popular, there are some that still
believe in the traditional stereotype of a serial killer: sexually motivated to murder as many women as
possible. However, they are much more complicated than that. Serial killers have been misconceived
for centuries; moreover, they have been plastered with labels such as insane or animals. Thus, studies
are being conducted and articles are being written to inform the public that there might, and is more to
serial killers than what people are led to believe. There are exceedingly particular traits that separate
serial killers from other murderers, and the complex ways their mind s function goes far beyond
society s common misconceptions of who they are

Gender In The Bohemian Rhapsody
The Bohemian Rhapsody from QUEEN was written in 1975, and re released in 1991. The author was
Freddie Mercury. This literary work is very interesting for me examined by psychological approach.
The entire text has a male centred structure, the dominant persona is male. There are several names
and characterizations such as poor boy , killed a man , Galileo . All of these references show the
dominant gender in the text. Although there is a less strong female presence as well such as mama and
mama mia .(The English studies book introduction to language, literature and culture, second edition

important to know that the author, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He honestly starts with owning up a murder made by him. In my opinion, if the text is checked with
trying to understand his background, it can be construct as admit of his own rambunctiously life. I

it explains his sickness, made with the wild life what he lived. He tells with the metaphor that he went
too far, he just killed himself with a gun. He realizes that his life is dangerously approaching to its end
that he has just started now. He is feeling the weight of his words. He starts to apologize for what he

his fate. There is a big hesitation from the author. He just making paradoxes with stating first that he is
desperate and second that he is absolutely resigned his fate. The big confused feeling is growing. He
closes the second part with another paradoxical state. He unmask his fear from death, he do not want
to die. Vice versa at the last sentence of this second part he says I sometimes wish I d never born at all.

Resilience And Adversity
Resilience The Power to Overcome Adversity
The life of Nelson Mandela has inspired many to pursue the essence of resilience and the ways in
which people recover from adversity to strength. The argument lies in whether resilience is a born
quality or something that could be learned. In looking to find the answer to this question, I had to read
several articles on the subject which turned out to be quite of a challenge, but most of the information
available concluded that resilience is a process that is learned versus something that which is innate. It
s a process that is learned from self motivation, life experiences and continual learning versus a
quality that one is born with.

Insight is built on the experience of having been understood by a caring and attentive other and is a
product of secure attachment. Consistent experiences of empathic attunement deepen our capacity for
insight and reality testing. As we mature emotionally and cognitively we broaden our ability to
recognize and appreciate others subjectivity and separateness as well as the capacity to reflect on our
own experience. Inherent to this is an appreciation that other behaviors are not necessarily directed
toward us, even when we are affected by them. These abilities are essential to resilience in that they
allow us to tolerate experiences of existential isolation. It was this constellation of qualities that
allowed Mandela to persevere in the struggle against apartheid and sustained him during the years
spent on Robin Island.
In the face of adversity, one has to be open to acceptance. The resilient individual is sustained by an
inherent capacity for acceptance; that is an ability to accept what cannot be changed and ultimately
embracing the life that one has been given. At times, this may involve a willingness to surrender, and
nearly always, it demands an openness to love others as they

Liberal Arts Degree Advantages
Being slightly educated in liberal arts is essential to being a well rounded person. Knowing liberal arts
widens a person s horizon, creating a different mindset. Although knowing some liberal arts is a good
quality to take out into the real world, it is not necessary to get a degree in liberal arts if the person
does not plan to pursue a job in the liberal arts field. There are more cons than pros in getting a full
liberal arts education. Although a liberal arts degree makes for a well rounded person out in the real
world, it takes up a lot of time and money, and will narrow a person s chances of getting a job. Getting
a liberal arts degree is going above and beyond normal expectations in today s society. It is

Literary Analysis Of Desiree s Baby
Single Element Desiree s Baby Kate Chopin s Desiree s Baby is the story of an abandoned child by
the name of Desiree; adopted and brought up by Madame Valmont in the countryside of Louisiana.
She later grows up, conceives a child, and marries her childhood sweetheart Armand, with the
intention of giving her the perfect family she failed to receive. The two are profoundly in love, and
continue to flourish in happiness until one day something changes. With suspicion and curiosity
towards the race of the baby and Desiree, Armand suddenly becomes distant from the two; portraying
an unpleasant attitude towards her and his slaves. Unwanted, Desiree disappears with the child, and is
never seen again. One day while burning old memories of his former spouse, Armand will be
conflicted with a shocking discovery that leaves the reader in awe. This amazing story reveals how the
power of judgement, and uncertainty can ironically come back to haunt you in the end. There are
many examples of language given from the author that helps the reader achieve a certain
understanding on the specific parts in the story. The narrator reads from the third person omniscient
point of view, and greatly describes the events leading up to the tragedy of what once was filled with
pure joy. With the ability to unfold the thoughts of the omniscient view, the reader is able to analyze
true emotions from the central and supporting characters that later can be identified as a specific type
of language. For

Anzia Yezierska’s Novel, Bread Givers Essay
Anzia Yezierska s 1925 novel Bread Givers ends with Sara Smolinsky s realization that her father s
tyrannical behavior is the product of generations of tradition from which he is unable to escape.
Despite her desire to embrace the New World she has just won her place in, she attempts to reconcile
with her father and her Jewish heritage. The novel is about the tension inherent in trying to fit Old and
New worlds together: Reb tries to make his Old World fit into the new, while Sara tries to make her
New World fit into the Old. Sara does not want to end up bitter and miserable like her sisters, but she
does not want to throw her family away all together. Her struggle is one of trying to convince her
patriarchal family to accept her as an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reb holds the sanctity of his religion so deeply that he will not even consider getting a job as a Rabbi
because he believes it would turn him into a false prophet selling his religion to Americanized Jews
(111). Even after he is tricked into buying the grocery store, he insists that everything that happens is
from God, for our good (125). Reb loves America for being the land of opportunity, where can start
with nothing and end up becoming a millionaire like Rockefeller; but he despises it for granting too
much to women: Woe to America where women are let free like men (205). Sara has wanted to get
away from her family her entire life: I was always saying to myself, if I ever had a quarter or a half
dollar in my hand, I d run away from home and never look on our dirty house again (22). But the
instant she does have this money, her only desire is to go home and show everyone what she is
capable of achieving. This is the essence of Sara s struggle: her aspiration to become a teacher stems
from her desire to prove to her family, specifically Reb, that she, as a woman, has worth in and of
herself (155). She signs up for classes wanting a quick education in exactly the same manner Reb buys
the grocery store (162). She is filled with an intense desire to succeed as quickly as possible, as though
were she not to become a teacher as quickly as possible, it would not happen at all. She does not even

Essay On Lame Hypnotic Patterns
Frankly, I could go on for days explaining countless ways that NLP Hypnosis can help both Men
Women become better lovers... AND... to find better lovers.
That said, this is just an article, and you re just looking for some juicy content that you can start to use
immediately.
Before I get into the really good stuff, let me say that this isn t about being one of those cheeseballs
with really lame hypnotic language patterns. Very far from it.
To give you a bit of a chuckle, here s an example of what I mean by lame hypnotic patterns:
I once had a student of one of my NLP Training programs tell me that he had a great technique he
learned from his Pickup Artist Guru , and he asked if he could share it in front of the class.

I then informed him (after I stopped laughing hysterically which took a while LOL...) that I do believe

It could work, because he had enough confidence to dare to try something so incredibly lame.
It s the confidence that would work. Not the lame language pattern.
Anyway, here are 5 tips you can actually use that WILL work and will dramatically enhance your
experiences in the bedroom...
1. Learn how to anchor peak states (both emotional and physical). If you don t know what an anchor
is, in the simplest terms, it s an external stimulus that creates a consistent internal response. For
example, it s like when you hear a special love song, and it makes you think about your partner in a
romantic way.
That s just one example of many different kinds of anchors.
Anchors can be set via any, and or all, of our 5 senses, meaning visually, auditorilly, kinestheticlly
(meaning touch), smell, and or taste.
One of many great ways to create a powerful anchor is to gently touch your partner s ear, or ears
(some like tongue, some don t, but almost all like a very very soft touch) during peak emotional and
physical experiences. Yes, that means during

Francis Bacon s Portrait Of Pope Innocent X
Francis Bacon was an Irish born English artist known for his raw, controversial and emotionally
charged works (Gale, Tate Gallery) often referred to as the enfant terrible of British art (Schama, 7) .
Many of his works, including Study After Velazquez s Portrait of Pope Innocent X, are palimpsest
using a variety of different images to create his own original works. Study After Velazquez s Portrait
of Pope Innocent X is part of the loose series of screaming popes (Sylvester, 40) of which there are
approximately 45 surviving works (Schmied, 17) completed during the 50 s and early 60 s. The series
was not only inspired by Spanish Baroque artist Diego Velazquez s Portrait of the Pope Innocent X, a
painting which Bacon had many copies of but famously avoided seeing in person (Phaidon) The truth
behind Francis Bacon s screaming popes) but also medical textbooks, works by the German
Renaissance painter Matthias Grünewald (Schmeid, 53) and the screaming nurse on the Odessa Steps
sequence in Soviet film director Sergei Eisenstein s 1925 silent film Броненосец Потемкин [The
Battleship Potemkin] (Peppiatt, 43). In the image we see the Pope Innocent X, a powerful authority
figure in the Catholic church. He is the liaison between the Lord and his son Jesus Christ and earth, he
is essentially all powerful in his own domain, Vatican City and Catholics around the world. He is
respected and his position is something that the Cardinals strive to become. However, Bacon depicts

8 Man Football Team Case Study
Imagine if East Jordan Middle High School (EJMHS) had an 8 man football team. We could have
great opportunities come our way. EJMHS must have an 8 man football team to lessen injuries,
improve our record, and better player stats. First of all, switching to an 8 man football team would
give the team more subs. One reason we would have more subs is because of three less men on the
field. In fact, since we only have 8 on the field, players get more breaks as needed. More players on
the sideline could cheer on the players on the field. Therefore, we would have more subs on the
sideline. Additionally, more subs on the sideline could keep the coaches calmed down. As you may
have noticed, coaches can get fired up, but more players could stop them from getting the team a
penalty. Subs could also stop our team from getting penalties. If someone is too far back the team
could yell out to them to move up. Obviously, one could see that switching to an 8 man football team

Genetic amniocentesis is performed with the intention of testing for chromosomal abnormalities.
During this the loose skin cells that are floating around in the amniotic fluid are collected, then sent to
a lab, and from there they will be grown or cultured for a few weeks. After the skin cells have had a
chance to grow to a respectable size, the lab will test for chromosomal issues. For this particular type
of amniocentesis, the procedure is done while the woman is between her 15th and 19th week of
pregnancy. Maturity amniocentesis is done on the amniotic fluid to test for the maturity of the fetus

How the USSR is Still Haunting Europe
After twenty six years, the nations that were granted independence from the Russian Federation are
still dealing with the affects of the fallout; In particular, Russia s European neighbor, Ukraine. In an
article dated September 29th, from the Russian News Agency TASS, it gives an overview of the recent
implications of the civil war in the Donbass region. Russia and Germany are urging the Ukrainian
Government to follow the Minsk Protocol, in order to keep peace and maintain a working relationship
between all the countries listed on the agreement (TASS 2016). There has been constant conflict in the
Donbass region since the beginning of 2014, with times of cease fire, but nothing significant. The
conflict is a result of the Russian demographic in Eastern Ukraine, wanting separation from a Western

Prosopagnosia, Or Face Blindness
Prosopagnosia, or face blindness, is a neurological disorder that prohibits an individual s ability to
recognize faces. It can occur in several different manners, each with different levels of severity. Some
who have it are simply unable to recognize faces of familiar individuals, while those with more severe
forms cannot distinguish between objects and faces, or even their own reflection. In some of these
cases, it can be accompanied by issues with recognizing other objects such as cars or places.
The history of Prosopagnosia goes all the way back to the 19th century, though the first instance of the
actual term came about in 1947. Joachim Bodamer recorded a case of a 24 year old male who, after
having been shot in the head, became unable to recognize his family, friends, and even his own face.
With the disorder having been named, more studies arose, allowing for a growth in the theories behind
how it worked. For instance, the knowledge of it having many different manifestations implies that it
is based on a complex process with many stages to the perception of faces. This led to determining
where it takes place in the brain.
Not many studies have been done on the prevalence of this disorder, but one in the German student
population says about 1 in 50 people are affected by prosopagnosia. While little is known on the
subject, a few notable cases have been made apparent. These include Hubert Dreyfus, Jane Goodall,

economy. Although some may view the introduction of canals as the most vital contributor to
American industrialization, the development of rail transport was the most beneficial innovation to the

They had the ability to expand the national market like never before. In their publication, authors
Olson and Kenny inform that, Railroads not only became the country s first corporate giants but also
stimulated the coal, iron, and steel industries and linked the different regions of the country into a
single national market that provided new opportunities for manufacturers (The Industrial Revolution:

organisms) as the natural condition (Dictionary). During the earthworm lab, I discovered that
earthworms have both seminal vesicles and seminal receptacles. Holding sperm after cross

  • 2. Difference Between Linguistic And Linguistic Studies In the following essay, I am going to present a comparison between two linguistic studies. Constructing another Language Usage Based Linguistics in Second Language Acquisition by Eskildsen and Sources of Linguistic Knowledge in the second language acquisition of English articles by Ionin, Zubizarreta, and Maldonado are going to be contrasted regarding their theoretical frameworks, research questions and research designs together with the conclusions reached. Reading the two studies, certain conclusions regarding their theoretical framework can be drawn. The first article provides Usage Based linguistics view of language learning as mainly based on experience and item, with particular formulas used at the beginning and then resulting to general constructions (e.g. Dabrowska 2000; Tomasello 2003; Dabroswka and Lieven 2005). On the other hand, Ionin, Zubbizarreta, and Maldonado, study adopts a theoretical framework that primarily focuses on the aspects of linguistic knowledge, namely the L2 input, L1 transfer and the inherent linguistic knowledge (Universal Grammar) that influence the acquisition of English articles by second language learners. To ensure protection of interest of immigrants and to safeguard the reputation of New Zealand as a top destination of choice the Immigration Advisers function is regulated via implementation of the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007 ( The Act ). In the case of ZW v Immigration Advisers Authority, Judge Priestley J rightly stated that Parliament s objective for passing the Act was to clean up the Immigration Advisers industry, which was subject to much justified criticism; towards providing an improved system of transparency, competency, Conduct Code and acceptable standards of service (ZW v Immigration Advisers Authority [2012] NZHC 1069 at [41]). This Act managed to build an overarching legal architecture with clear operating regime, defined stakeholders accountabilities, well defined process steps and created necessary checks balances to protect all involved. The Act sits at the centre of the Legal framework that holds the Immigration Advisory function and creates the necessary safeguards to protect consumers and enhance the New Zealand s reputation by regulating the practice of providing immigration advice both onshore and offshore. • 5. The Messenger Techniques Marcus Zusak s techniques he employs in The Messenger significantly reflects how the reader views The Messenger. Marcus Zusak firstly uses personification frequently in The Messenger. The reason it is an important technique is because it gives the reader new ideas. He secondly uses humor recurrently in the novel. This then gives the reader some enjoyment in the book and not just always fear and sadness. He thirdly uses a technique that not many authors use in their novels where he incorporates himself into the novel and that then triggers different ideas in the readers mind on what is reality and what is a book. The way Zusak writes and what techniques he integrates into the novel then gives more enjoyment to the reader. The main idea that Zusak employs is the use of personification and how that increased the readers enjoyment of the novel. For example, when Zusak uses personification when the deck of cards is some one s life. For example, each suite in the deck is a different event in their life. in the novel each suite is a different chapter, the spades in real life mean death and in the novel on the Spades chapter someone dies. At the Chapter of the Joker which is end of the novel where Ed is free to do what every he likes. • 7. Martin Luther King And Malcolm X Civil rights activists all had the same paramount goal in mind: equality for Black people in the United States. While everyone could generally agree on what they wanted fair wages, an end to segregation, voting rights the means to the end were a little fuzzy, at best. What was the best strategy to gain respect for the Black people of America, in a society that largely didn t tolerate people of color? Two major philosophies on the matter stemmed from the minds of great activists Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. Dr. King s approach to the situation was, as always, peaceful protest, while Malcolm X promoted supporting Black business and communities, allowing them to prosper. While both approaches would bring about positive change for the Black community in the 60 s, Malcolm X s approach to the matter makes a more compelling argument by being significantly more beneficial in the long run. Both Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X agreed that boycotting white only industries was a sound method of protest against white supremacy in the economy. However, Dr. King s approach to the problem ended there. This is not to say that his boycotts weren t effective at all: according to the article provided, Operation Breadbasket have increased the income of the Negro community by more than two million dollars annually (King), showing that King s plans weren t all just idealistic nonsense, which is what Malcolm X most disagreed with in terms of political philosophy. Operation Breadbasket, the Chicago plan to boycott products from companies that refused to hire Black people and treat them fairly, succeeded temporarily. Dr. King s boycotting approach cut profits in white only industries in Chicago and forced them to hire Black people and pay them fair wages, both substantially beneficial to the Black community. Where Dr. King s plans fall short, however, is in securing this change and preventing power from slipping back into the hands of white supremacists. This is why, though a respectable approach, boycotting alone is not enough to evoke lasting, meaningful change in a community built on oppression and subjugation. Malcolm X boycotted white industry as well, but the extra steps in his plan went beyond that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Reasons that represent why prayer and moments of silence should be allowed in the public school system will be expressed. • 12. Descriptive Essay About Country Often when the word country is brought up, people think of big trucks, the song Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean, taking a four wheeler through the mud, and sometimes even a confederate flag. However, country can not be bought at a store. It s something to be born with. Country isn t just a bunch of dumb rednecks, as it is normally associated with. Country runs much deeper. To me, Country is a way of life that makes yourself work the hardest you can, love the most you can, and create memories in the great outdoors that can never be forgotten. One of my favorite songs of all time comes from Luke Bryan; That s What Country is . In the song, Bryan says It aint a rebel flag you bought at the mall it s a hide away bed in an old horse stall, two kids getting caught stealing a Boones Farm kiss. This is my favorite verse because Bryan takes the highly thought belief that country is defined by rebel flags and simply says that it is not true. Instead of a confederate flag labeling country, country is two kids making memories that they will never forget (Even thought it might not be completely legal). Later in the verse, Bryan says It aint a John Deere cap that s never fell in the cotton, it s a Jimmie Rodgers song that was long forgotten. Its homemade peach ice cream on sunburnt lips, that s what country is. This relates to me directly. The Failure of Northern Rock in the Light of Banking Economics and Regulation Introduction Increasing global connectivity and integration in today s world ensures that almost any serious problem has worldwide ramifications. The global financial system can serve as a key example of this phenomenon. Very recently, Britain s fifth largest mortgage lender Northern Rock was rescued by emergency funding from the Bank of England. This made the Newcastle based firm the highest profile UK victim of the global credit crunch that had been triggered by the sub prime mortgage crisis in the US. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The crisis broke in August when French bank BNP Paribas suspended three of its investment funds with exposures to the troubled US sub prime market. Since it was believed that many banks had invested in similar securities, many banks felt that they did not know enough about the solvency of the banks to which they may lend to and how much losses they had suffered as a result of their exposures in the impaired US mortgage market. Subsequently, the lending on the inter bank market came to a halt. Northern Rock s Business Model Although all banks were facing greater than normal difficulties in acquiring funds given the lack of credit that was available on the global institutional debt markets, Northern Rock was hit harder than most. Its core business was, and still is, residential mortgage lending. Northern Rock was the biggest provider of mortgages in the UK in the first half of 2007. It sold up to 19% of all new mortgage policies during that time. However, it had a comparatively smaller deposit base meaning that most of its funding came from sources besides deposits from ordinary retail customers. Computer Space was the first video game to be produced, and it was created and developed by a company called Nutting Associates. In 1972, a company called Atari introduced a game called Pong . Atari was formed by a person named Nolan Bushnell, a developer of Computer Space, who left Nutting Associates to found Atari, which then produced Pong. Pong was the first successful commercial arcade video game . (How Stuff Works, 2017) How is a video game made? A video game is taken through a step by step process requiring five main steps. The first step to making the video game is the design or layout of the video game. The next step is to grabbing the materials needed to make the game. The materials needed to make the game are different for each game, and it is based on the game and/or game console. The third step in making a video game is going through the manufacturing process. The steps include creating the story, captioning the games action with art, recording dialogue and sound effects, writing the program, testing the game, burning the game or disc, and packaging the game. • 15. Analysis Of Unforgiven Unforgiven is a 1992 Western film which was produced, directed, and starred by Clint Eastwood. The adventure of William Munny, a vicious murderer in the past who has killed innocent women and children, started when The Schofield Kid approached Munny in his farm and asked him if he wanted to help in killing two of the cowboys who slashed one of the prostitutes just because the woman giggled at one of the cowboy s tiny pecker. However, Little Bill Daggett, the sheriff, just fined the two cowboys with six horses to be given to the saloon keeper instead of arresting and beating them up; this nonchalant response of the sheriff outraged the other prostitutes. The girls pooled all of their savings, which amounted to $1,000, and used that money as a reward to anybody who would kill the two cowboys who slashed up their friend. The film was unique because of the way Clint Eastwood presented violence and killing in an interesting way and in a new light wherein the line between good and evil was a little blurred. The thought provoking title of the film also added a unique touch to this film. The form of violence in the film was presented in different ways some are subtle, but some are more obvious. The way that the prostitutes offered bounty for the death of the two cowboys serves as a silent form of violence and protest, which represents the hatred that they feel because they are belittled and mistreated by the people just because they are prostitutes: Just because we let them ... Even though the topic of serial killers has become increasingly popular, there are some that still believe in the traditional stereotype of a serial killer: sexually motivated to murder as many women as possible. However, they are much more complicated than that. Serial killers have been misconceived for centuries; moreover, they have been plastered with labels such as insane or animals. Thus, studies are being conducted and articles are being written to inform the public that there might, and is more to serial killers than what people are led to believe. Anchors can be set via any, and or all, of our 5 senses, meaning visually, auditorilly, kinestheticlly (meaning touch), smell, and or taste. One of many great ways to create a powerful anchor is to gently touch your partner s ear, or ears (some like tongue, some don t, but almost all like a very very soft touch) during peak emotional and physical experiences. Francis Bacon s Portrait Of Pope Innocent X Francis Bacon was an Irish born English artist known for his raw, controversial and emotionally charged works (Gale, Tate Gallery) often referred to as the enfant terrible of British art (Schama, 7) . • 34. Prosopagnosia, Or Face Blindness Prosopagnosia, or face blindness, is a neurological disorder that prohibits an individual s ability to recognize faces. It can occur in several different manners, each with different levels of severity. Some who have it are simply unable to recognize faces of familiar individuals, while those with more severe forms cannot distinguish between objects and faces, or even their own reflection. In some of these cases, it can be accompanied by issues with recognizing other objects such as cars or places. The history of Prosopagnosia goes all the way back to the 19th century, though the first instance of the actual term came about in 1947. Joachim Bodamer recorded a case of a 24 year old male who, after having been shot in the head, became unable to recognize his family, friends, and even his own face. With the disorder having been named, more studies arose, allowing for a growth in the theories behind how it worked. For instance, the knowledge of it having many different manifestations implies that it is based on a complex process with many stages to the perception of faces. This led to determining where it takes place in the brain. Not many studies have been done on the prevalence of this disorder, but one in the German student population says about 1 in 50 people are affected by prosopagnosia. While little is known on the subject, a few notable cases have been made apparent. These include Hubert Dreyfus, Jane Goodall, Victoria, the crown princess of Sweden, and Oliver Sacks, a ...
