New Yorker Font The blurred edges of this font that blend and bleed out of the shape of the letter represents the blurred line between the sanity and insanity of Lance and the decision that Rhys has to make. The edges of the font also could symbolise the style of graffiti as the paint dries. This could represent the location that the short film takes place in as a warehouse is likely place to find this style of writing. This font is legible and easy to understand which is an important factor in order for it to advertise the film successfully. The fact that there is a combination of both of straight and curved edges represents that both genders are involved within the content of the film and are also part of the target audience.

3. Everyday Ghost Font The fluid design is important as it makes the font interesting and aesthetically pleasing to view. The detail and the style of the font could be described as feminine due to the fact it is a more detailed. This font is legible but is more difficult to read from a distance than the first example; due to the shading, tone and outline of the style. The style of this font relates to the personal choices that the characters face as it could be seen as being drawn by hand. The shading and the intricate detail symbolize the time and effort spent on it. It uses a combination of straight lines to convey its modern design.

4. Unisketch Font This font is simple in style and design and therefore does not detract attention away from any other images or information. It is also a memorable and easily replicated. This font uses fluid lines to represent its modern and creative tones. It is easily legible from a distance and would be a good font to use upon a poster. The fact it uses bold makes it even easier to notice. The use of bold represents the importance of the font and can symbolise the complexity of the decision that Rhys has to make within the film. It also resembles masculinity as it is dominant feature. The combination of straight and curved lines, can inform the audience that both genders are involved within the narrative.

5. Nilliand Font This font is legible and the like the majority of other fonts already mentioned would be easy to read from a distance. The font is simple in design as well as being aesthetically pleasing. It would not attract attention away from focal images but would advertise the film successfully. This choice of font although is clear and simple to view, it does not offer many interpretations into the films content or audience. The fact is uses clean straight lines does however represent a modern day view. Nilliand Font is a basic design. The fact that there are no intricate details can convey the masculine gender stereotype as there is no detail surrounding it.

6. New Yorker The font I have chosen to use for the advertising sector of my short films is New Yorker. It will be featured upon my poster and within my magazine film review. I chose this design because it is a clear legible style but also is successful in representing the tone and select features of the narrative. Also this font offers a unique design that can be associated with the short film “two” and other features surrounding it.
