- 7. • What do you think of all of the work that I have created so far? • So far I believe that your work looks good, I particularly more like the idea of the front cover that you have created, it is something of which I have not seen before so for me I think it to be something that looks very nice. I also like the close-up image of the person on your front cover and the effects of which you have used over him, I feel that this makes a link between the topic of your magazine and the image helping to illustrate it more. • How could I improve my magazine? • To improve your magazine I feel that you should include some more text to accompany the images, if not more readable next, from what I have looked at in the above slides I found it hard to be able to read the text parts. Adding more readable next is something of which I would look at as I think it will help to illustrate your images more, to give a better understanding for them if somebody was to view your magazine but wasn’t quite understanding the images. • What other pages should I have in the magazine and what design should I go with? • I believe that you could include some pages in your magazine based more around the gang life of these set criminals, as for some people this could be the main reason of why they are reading your magazine.
- 8. • What do you think of all of the work that I have created so far? • Looks very professional and highly detailed and has lots of stuff that stick out adding more of a extra detail to beyond words making it appealing to look at. Like the image placement is perfectly spread apart and it doesn’t look overly detailed or has to little detail on it • How could I improve my magazine? • There isn't very much to input on what to add to improve it really, only thing I can think of is making the colours of the images just look smoother because it looks a little off. Like this image. And one of the image doesn't really look like it was transformed properly. Looks a little warped. • What other pages should I have in the magazine and what design should I go with? • No idea what the magazine is about but normally just to show off like your creativity in your images by having your own photos you took
- 9. • What do you think of all of the work that I have created so far? • I do like what you have created such as all the layouts and designs gives it that realistic. But what lets you down is that you haven’t used your own images which then blocks your chance to have some more creativity. • How could I improve my magazine? • In my opinion, I think that there is a lot going on and a little hard to focus on one certain thing. But that’s down to my personal feelings and how I like, a less busy front cover. • What other pages should I have in the magazine and what design should I go with? • You have a lot of story opportunities on your front cover but have only covered the main topic of you magazine. There are many roads you could go down and stick along with your design because then its all relatable and bring the magazine together.
- 10. • Summary • Overall I have got good feedback on my work. From the feedback it seems that people prefer my cover to the rest of the magazine. One of the answers that I agree with is that I need to add my own images however, the topic that I have chosen for my magazine to be about, makes it hard for me to gather my own images. Also most of the crimes that I am looking at are in the past therefore are inaccessible for me to get my own primary images of. I could replicate images of the crime scene, etc. But I don’t really like the photography side of print. I much prefer to edit images that I find online. One answer that I disagree with is that some of the images don’t look like they have been transformed properly. Especially on the Ed Gein timeline page, they have suggested to make the blue background colour smoother. However the background is supposed to be like that, as I wanted it to look old, and crinkled. I agree that I need more text in my magazine, however I haven’t finished it yet, and was going to add most of the text in last. • “I believe that you could include some pages in your magazine based more around the gang life of these set criminals, as for some people this could be the main reason of why they are reading your magazine.” I can understand what they are talking about however, I don’t think they understand the topic properly as my project isn’t anything to do with gangs. They are most likely talking about the Branch Davidian Cult. However, I have chosen to focus on the siege of their compound and the cult’s leader at that time, David Koresh. I could add a page talking about members of the cult and their stories of when they were apart of the cult.
