Making the title the first thing the reader will
read. When it comes to making my cover in
production I will try to make the title stand
out to attract people over to it and read it.
The barcode is on most

4. Developed Idea 3 - cover
I am very happy with the way the cover turned out. I think that it looks
very professional. I am hoping to have a cover layout like this when it
comes to production. I want the cover to stand out as a crime magazine.
I also want the Branch Davidians to be the main focus of the magazine
therefore wanting David Koresh to be the main image on the cover. In
terms of colours that I will be using, I will use the black, white, and red
combo. I think that this combo fits the crime topic. If I do want to use
another colour I would most likely use the colour blue.

13. Weekly
priorities
• Complete weekly diary every Wednesday in tutorial, or do it at home throughout the week.
• One big priority to complete before starting production is to gather the images I am going to use whether
that be by camera or using the internet then I will need to edit them if I gather them from the internet to
make them more primary research than secondary research.
• I will also need to download or make a magazine template for InDesign so that when I start production I
don’t have to waste time looking for a template or making one as I will already have one.
• Take screenshots whilst working so that I can add them to my evaluation and production diary weekly.
• Make sure that I have wrote up all of the inside content before needing to add it into the magazine. Do this
all at home.

14. Before I begin production I will need to find images that I am going to use in the magazine both primary and secondary
images, it would also be best if I edited the images before hand. However, I don’t know what style each page is going to be.
Therefore editing the image is going to be difficult to do before hand. I will also need to write articles before I need them so
that when I do need them I can just put the article in, instead of having to write it after finding out that I need it then.
