This document outlines Nicola Kilgallon's final plan for promotional materials to support the homeless charity SASH. It describes the font and image choices for a poster, bookmark, and sticker. For the poster, the slogan "A bench is to sit, not to sleep" will be used along with the fact that 39% of the homeless population are young people under 18. The bookmark will feature a small story and logo/website. The sticker slogan is "Saving a life is easy, help the homeless." The document also mentions a color scheme and layout but provides no details.
Presenter: Conni Billé A proposal can be terrifying. If it is off-base, you probably just wrote yourself off the candidate list. What if you propose something too expensive? What if you underestimate the complexity of the project and quote a price that is too low? Conni will share some approaches that should make you feel more comfortable and confident when writing a proposal.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
Slack (or Teams) Automation for Bonterra Impact Management (fka Social Soluti...Jeffrey Haguewood
Sidekick Solutions uses Bonterra Impact Management (fka Social Solutions Apricot) and automation solutions to integrate data for business workflows.
We believe integration and automation are essential to user experience and the promise of efficient work through technology. Automation is the critical ingredient to realizing that full vision. We develop integration products and services for Bonterra Case Management software to support the deployment of automations for a variety of use cases.
This video focuses on the notifications, alerts, and approval requests using Slack for Bonterra Impact Management. The solutions covered in this webinar can also be deployed for Microsoft Teams.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

2. Fonts
I have chosen this font, Traveling Typewriter as the main title font because it is clear
to read, rough on the edges and not too neat. I think it will suite my products well
as it is about homeless, I don’t want anything too fancy or unreadable.
I chose that as the copy font as it more simple to read so it looks better in a smaller size,
rather than Traveling Typewriter. It is a bit faded in the centre of the words,
representing a homeless person isn’t complete without a home.
3. Images
I have chosen this image
to go on my bookmark
because it is a young girl
within the range of my
target audience, ages 1624.
I am going to use this image on my poster. I
have decided on this one because it is about
benches and this bench is on its own, like a
homeless person would be. The picture is
very Christmassy, but I will edit it so it looks
dark and dull.
I will be using this image as it is she SASH logo
and its important people know the charity that
the products are supporting.
For my sticker, I
will use this
image. I have
chosen this one
because the girl is
saying thank you
because people
have helped her.
She fits within the
target audience
and it is positive.
4. Copy
Poster
My poster will have the slogan ‘A bench is to sit, not to sleep’ I chose this because it tells people that people
should only have to sit on hard benches, not sleep on them.
I will put a fact in my poster so it is more believable and to catch peoples attention, the one I chose is ‘39% of
the homeless population is young people under 18’ I chose this one because its about young people and
so is the charity SASH.
Bookmark
My book mark will have a small story on. It will have the logo and the website too.
Sticker
My sticker will have a thank you sign on to show appreciation and let people know they they are making a
difference. It will have the slogan ‘Saving a life is easy, help the homeless’0
