2. Cineworld: Milton Keynes
• Cineworld Cinema is a public company cinema. The cinema company has 2,049 screens across the 221 sites.
Cineworld Cinema Milton Keynes is located on the top floor on the Xscape which is over the road from the
Centre MK Shopping Centre. Cineworld MK offers snacks and drink facilities including businesses such as
Starbucks Coffee. Thos customers that have a disability can be catered for, as the company allows guide dogs
in the pictures, has disabled access and audio screening. The cinema offers a variety of screening from 2D, 3D
and 4DX, the cinema offers a facility for families, screening films dedicated for families.

3. The BFI, Southbank
The BFI Southbank is a cinema specialising in seasons of classic, independent and non- english language
films which are being operated by the British- film Institute. The BFI Southbank has 4 screens offering a
variety of films. The BFI isn’t offering a variety of films nor times on Saturday 18th February. The BFI is
only showing Moonlight at 16:10, 18:30 and 20:50.
The BFI offers a variety of facilities such as a canteen, shop, blue room and cinema rooms.
4. The Rex Cinema, Berkhamsted
• The Rex, Berkhamsted is a independent cinema screening films 362 days of the
year. The cinema opened in 1938 and closed in 1988 but then reopened in 2004.
The cinema only has 1 screen and has a Art Deco theme to it. As the cinema has
only 1 screen it doesn’t show as many films and customers have to book in
advance. On the 18th February, the cinema is only showing two films which are
Swallows and Amazons at 2:00 and La La Land at 7:00.
• Feature of the cinema is that the cinema has more cushioned seats, a bar inside the
auditorium and has an announcer who comes onto the stage after the adverts.
5. Multiplex Independent
Facilities Multiplex cinemas are cinemas such as Cineworld.
Cineworld offers facilities such as Snack and drink, films for
families, and accommodates those that have a disability.
Independent cinemas offers facilities such
as food and drink facilities but they might
be smaller and offer fewer variety.

6. How has the Internet changed the film
exhibition?
• The internet hasn’t just change film exhibition but the world, more and more people are
using the internet as it’s becoming more and more advanced. Due to the growing
population of people using the internet, films are starting to be viewed by the audience
online. This has been a benefit for company such as Netflix and Amazon, of which the
customer have to sign up for a membership and exchange they are able to watch the
films that the company have released. As the internet has become more advanced, this
has been a benefit for film companies to market there film so they can attract a wider
audience, this is through creating social media pages and keeping the audience up to
date with the latest new, the audience are also able to watch trailers the film release,
etc.
