The document summarizes the anatomy of the fetal skull. It is formed of the face, vault, and base. The vault bones (frontal, parietal, occipital) are not fused, allowing the shape of the head to change during labor through molding. It defines anatomical locations like the fontanels and sutures. During birth, the fetal head undergoes molding where the bones overlap to reduce the head circumference as it descends through the pelvis. The degree of molding is rated from 0 to 3 based on the separation and overlap of the suture lines.
This topic contains definition, instruments, indications, contraindications, prerequisites, advantages, procedure, complications and hazards of ventouse or vaccum delivery.
The female pelvis is ideal for childbearing. Complete knowledge on it helps a obstetrician or midwife to conduct normal labour as well as detect any abnormalities related to abnormal pelvis.

Definition-
The destructive operations are designed to diminish the bulk of the fetus so as to facilitate easy delivery through the birth canal
types
Craniotomy
Eviceration
Decapitation
Cleidotomy
CRANIOTOMY
Definition
It is an operation to make a perforation on the fetal head to evacuate the contents followed by extraction of the fetus
DECAPITATION
Definition
It is a destructive operation whereby the fetal head is severed from the trunk and the delivery is completed with the extraction of the trunk and that of the decapitated head per vaginam
CLEIDOTOMY
Definition
The operation consist of reduction in the bulk of the shoulder girdle by division of one or both the clavicles
Indications
Dead fetus with shoulder dystocia
Procedure
The clavicles are divided by the embryotomy scissors or long straight scissors introduced under the guidance of left two fingers placed inside the vagina

In addition to their delivery bags, midwives “carry” many other invaluable tools ... family planning, delivery preparation, postnatal counseling and breastfeeding. ... With this equipment, we can recover 80% of newborns. ... “Midwifery feels good when both the mother and baby come out of the labor ward alive.
This topic contains definition, incidence, types, causes, diagnosis, mechanism, management of occipito posterior position and deep transverse arrest and manual rotation of occipito posterior position
It explains the mechanism of normal labour to medical and para-medical staff. It also puts light on principle movements underlying mechanism of normal labour with pictures.Thank You Like an share it to the maximum.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

3. FETAL SKULL
◦ The skull is formed of the face , the vault & the base
◦ The bones that form the skull are : two frontal bones,
two parietal bones, two temporal bones wings of the
sphenoid & occipital bone
◦ The bones of the face & base are heavy & fused
◦ The bones of the vault are 2 frontal,2 parietal &
occipital
◦ The bones of the vault are not joined thus changes in
the shape of the fetal head during labor can occur due
to molding
