Abstract The paper presents an analytic insight into the speed control of a dc Motor
drive using a more stout, prompt and stabilized technique than conventionally used.
The desired dynamics are difficult to achieve with conventional controllers. New
techniques are attempted in the literature to get the desired performance. Here,
Sliding Mode Control a robust and non linear control, is considered. Its
understanding is simple and the performance of the whole drive system is found to
be much enhanced as compared to the conventional Proportional Integral Control
method. In this paper, analysis of the dc drive is done when subjected to different
circumstances of speed variations as well as load variations. It is then established that
the range of speed under which the drive can operate without changing the parameters
of the controllers, is much wider with the Sliding Mode Control.

What started as an hobby immediately turned into a passion of mines unexpectedly

that this experience helped with foundation and the development in my pedagogy
and teaching philosophy. During my freshman in college I ventured off into doing
my own work. I first landed my teaching opportunities at the Salvation Army Kroc
Center and the Historical Attucks Theater in Norfolk, VA. I worked with both
children and adults and I ve also had the pleasure to work with children at risk and

Biological Model The biological model is based on a medical/physical perspective to

transmission can cause depression while inherited genes can lead to mood disorders
and schizophrenia (Suinn, 1988). Treatments such as drug therapy, occur when
physical causes of the abnormality are found. Drug therapy uses drugs that effect one
s emotional process and thought process. For example, antidepressants would be
given to someone that has depression to elevate the mood, while antipsychotic drugs
would help alleviate hallucinations and delusions for one with psychotic disorders

It s been eleven years since we last saw the gang in Toy Story 2 and things are a bit
different now. Weezy and Bo Peep, as well as others, are gone. They have fallen
victim to damage, yard sales, garbage bags, donations, and simply being misplaced.
There is a melancholy feeling in the air between Woody and the rest of the gang as
the film opens. Andy is now 17 years old and is preparing to depart to college. Each
toy is well aware as they watch him pack, that their futures will come down to

This, along with some of the characters, i.e. the scary looking baby doll, causes a
somewhat dark and melancholy mood that lingers throughout the film, giving it a
kind of film noir feeling. Like in the last two movies, a major story line of Toy
Story 3 is the toys getting lost. But instead of trying to do all that they can in order
to make it home as they did in 1 and 2, Toy Story 3 focuses on whether or not they
should try and go home, being that there will be no one to go back to. Throughout
the film, Woody is the only one who insist that going home is the only option they
have because they are Andy s toys. The film is about the consequences of
disloyalty, and giving up on an imperfect relationship in order to go off and find
something that is better. It is the story of a group of toys trying to live up to their
responsibilities and deal with change. The toys have to deal with the fact that Andy is
going to college without them, leaving them without an owner, and to a toy, not
having an owner is the worst thing that can happen to you. Toy Story 3 uses all of the
same ingredients that were used on the previous two films, insuring its success. It has
action, comedy, and drama. And the last fifteen minutes of the film add a little throat
tightening pathos, a pinch of eye misting nostalgia. It is the perfect ending to an

Stereotypes and misconceptions can be learned by anyone at any time since there
are many sources to get them from and as long as people are not properly informed
about a group stereotypes and misconceptions will always be out there. Stereotypes
are often made by the media and other groups in order to make society believe what
they believe or what they want others to believe which may lead to the negative
way a person thinks about others. These stereotypes and misconceptions can be
seen when news stations talk about military, politics, celebrities, and other
subjects. The news can portray them as bad or good people but it all depends on
what benefits them or others. This is why people have different views on certain

Norris. I serve our Lord as Director of Ministry to Women and Children at Trinity
Church alongside a team of pastors reporting to the Senior Pastor. I have served in

However, word study and access to Hebrew and Greek are completely new to me.
Using the concordance and Blue Letter Bible to find if the common root words that
have been translated are the same or not was extremely helpful. I previously
understood evaluating the surrounding context, but did not have access or know
how to evaluate the keywords in Hebrew or Greek which helps to extend valuable
insight in how the word was used to the original biblical audience. This interpretive
evaluation is clarifying my focus on what theological truths are present, therefore
driving properly aligned application. To take this a step further, I am in prayer now in
planning forward how to use this class learning (observation, literary context, word
studies) and teach them to women ministry leaders at Trinity this coming summer
focusing on a section of Scripture. Moreover, I would provide teaching on the genre
and historical background of the Scripture we would be focusing on. And
furthermore, I am praying about providing this learning opportunity for all women at
Trinity. Also of great importance and completely new to me is the 5 Step Interpretive
Journey. Specifically, in Step 1 learning to use different interpretive tools to uncover
what the text could have meant to the biblical audience and then carry that into Step
