general lucidity coupled with the slow revelations throughout the plot, the style of writing keeps
you engaged. This impressed me most, as well as the clever usage of a biblical quote in the title to
allude towards the themes in the story.

3. We find the exposition in our introduction to Marvin, the young protagonist who seems to be
living in some sort of lunar colony with the remains of humanity, as his father leads him through
long, echoing corridors. The rising action occurs as Marvin is allowed Outside for the very first
time, at which point his father brings him to a vehicle and drives them away from their Colony. In
the climax, Marvin sees Earth, or at least what remains of it. His father explains to him how Earth
was destroyed, that their Colony is all that is left. In the falling action, we see Marvin understanding
the purpose of this pilgrimage. He knows he will not venture to Earth, but in the denouement,
Marvin decides to pass this story and a dream of returning to Earth along with it to his own son one

Immigration has been a part of American History since the discovery of this beautiful land
hundreds of years ago. Who first colonized the Americas has been a great debate over the years by
