The Florida Conference Of Seventh Day Adventists Essay
A Storybranding Analysis of the Florida Conference of Seventh Day Adventists
The early Adventist Church emerged from a climate of religious revival in the Northeastern United
States , (Lechleitner, 2013). Its founder was the late William Miller, (Slick, n.d.). The Church was
founded based on the idea of the Second Coming of Jesus, (Church, 2013). The Seventh Day
Adventism is a Christian faith with multiple fundamental beliefs such as the Sabbath. The Sabbath is
the day in which God decided to rest after creating the Earth. For the Seventh Day Adventists, the
Sabbath is Saturday, as God rested on the Seventh Day of the week. Ellen G. White, a woman
considered one of the founding members of the Church and a prophetess, developed another
fundamental belief of how husbands should treat their wives as equal, the way they were created to be
, (Banks, 1992). As we can see, women play an important role in this doctrine.
As the Seventh Day Adventist Church grew, they developed Conferences around the World. For the
purpose of this study, we will look into the Florida Conference. Florida Conference of Seventh day
Adventists is an unincorporated, nonprofit organisation which serves as the administrative body for its
sisterhood of churches with an emphasis on evangelism, nurturing constituents, and operating a
system of schools , (Adventist, n.d.). The Florida Conference covers 57 counties of the 67 in the State
of Florida, it also manages 206 churches, 56 companies, and at least 33

Causes Of The Stratovolcano Tambora
The stratovolcano Tambora makes up the 60 km wide Sanggar Peninsula on northern Sumbawa
Island, Indonesia, and is still currently active today. Erupting on April 10, 1815, Tambora, which is
considered the largest observed eruption in recorded history, induced mass destruction to villages,
widespread famine, and global climate change that would last for years to come. Standing nearly
14,000 feet high, Tambora experienced small tremors and streams of pyroclastic flow before erupting,
shooting 60 megatons of sulfur, 36 cubic miles of ash, pumice, and aerosols into the atmosphere.
Sulfurous gas from the volcano combined with water vapor droplets in the air, which then stuck in
earth s atmosphere, and were dispersed through both hemispheres due to stratospheric currents. These
particles then increased sunlight absorption, contributing to lower amounts of sunlight seen from
earth. This caused a drop in global temperatures by nearly 5.4 degrees fahrenheit. These temperature
drops reached as far as New England, which caused difficulty in crop production and increased
famine, leading to the year of 1816 being called the year without a summer. The initial impact of the
eruption killed somewhere around 10,000 citizens instantly, while the chain of events afterwards,
including food shortages, famine, pyroclastic flows, and tsunamis, caused an estimated 100,000
deaths.
The massive eruption measured a 7 on the VEI scale, or Volcanic Explosivity Index, and released
around 100 cubic km of magma. In total, it lasted no more than 3 days, and 300 500 million kilograms
of volcanic debris was released per second. Stratovolcanoes produce magma that contain high
amounts of silica, giving it a high viscosity, or thickness, causing it to not flow very far. 500,000
square kilometers of land around Tambora was covered with at least 1 centimeter of ash. Following
the eruption, a collapse caldera was formed. These are formed when a powerful volcanic eruption
occurs, and collapses in on the weak rock that had previously been supporting the magma chamber
underneath the volcano, forming a crater. This caldera is now around 1.2 kilometers deep, meaning the
volcano lost several kilometers of elevation following the eruption. It is

Cardiovascular Disease In Women Essay
Introduction The topic I will explore is heart disease in women. The question, what do healthcare
providers need to know about cardiovascular disease in women and how their symptoms and
presentation differ from men will be discussed. Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in
women and men in the Western world. Nearly 1 million cardiovascular related deaths a year are
women. Many women s risk factors go unrecognized and untreated by their primary care physician
(Pregler et al., 2009). According to FamilyDoctor.org, American women are 4 to 6 times more likely
to die of heart disease that of breast cancer (2009). In generally men have an earlier onset of heart
disease than to women but have a higher survival rate from heart ... Show more content on

Current Evidence Based Status
Crimmins, Hayward, Ueda Saito and Kim in there journal article give statistical data on heart disease
and death in both women and men (2008). This article states 37 percent of men and 27 percent of
women over the age 65 report having a heart condition (Crimmins et al., 2008). Crimmins research
addresses the many differences in men with coronary artery disease compared to women with
coronary artery disease. The study noted that men have a higher mortality rate from heart disease than
do women (Crimmins et al., 2008). This article also notes that 40 50 percent of postmenopausal
women will develop heart disease (Crimmins et al., 2008). Crimmins and colleges noted men develop
heart disease 5 to 10 years earlier in life than do women ( 2008). Evidence suggests that women who
are hospitalized for cardiovascular issues are less likely to receive certain types of drugs and
diagnostic and treatment procedures (Crimmins et al., 2008). Low socio economic status and poor
educational levels also have a marked effect on men and women s knowledge of cardiovascular
disease and the timing of when they seek treatment (Hemingway, 2007). Crimmins and colleges in
their study results noted, on average, the onset for heart disease in men is around 50 to 70 years of age
and 73 years of age for women (Crimmins et al., 2008). There is also marked evidence that many
women s symptoms go

How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Change The World
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication . Leonardo da Vinci was a quiet man, but is well known for
his intelligence. He was a man of few words, and never bragged about his intelligence. He let his work
do the talking for him. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the world s most incredible minds. He changed
the word with his scientific discoveries, many inventions, and beautiful art. Da Vinci was born on
April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He was born out of wedlock to Ser Piero and a peasant women. His
father was a well respected notary, but was never involved in Leonardo s life ( Renaissance Man ).
Leonardo only received a general education, which included reading, writing, and basic math. His
teachers and mother quickly realized his potential, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Renaissance was a new age in Europe. It means rebirth , which was a demonstration of what was
going on at the time. People began to explore the world, develop new artistic styles, and make
advances in math and science ( Renaissance ). Leonardo was the leader of the pack. He is the man
behind the brush of some of the most iconic paintings ever, including The Last Supper , Mona Lisa ,
and Vitruvian Man. He was commissioned by Ludovico in 1495 to begin the last supper. The painting
took da Vinci nearly three years, and shows the moment went Jesus notifies his Twelve Apostles that
one of them would soon betray him. Da Vinci does an incredible job of capturing the intensity of the
moment. He demonstrates his brilliance with his masterful strokes that portray the facial expressions
and body language of everyone in the room ( Leonardo da Vinci ). Leonardo spent a lot of time
examining the human body to try perfecting his art. He had an acute understanding of proportions and
movements of the human body. In his painting, Vitruvian Man , it is clear that he understands more
than most humans of that time period. Vitruvian Man states that the average man is nearly two meters
tall, and his outstretched arms are equal to the length of his body ( The Complete Works ). In the
Mona Lisa , uses some of his own techniques to make the painting extremely realistic. He treated
objects as 3 D figures, and used shadows, instead of lines, when outlining figures. Nobody knows who
Mona Lisa depicts, but that is beside the fact. It is easily one of the most famous paintings of all time.
Using his knowledge, da Vinci made his paintings more realistic and defined. He is also credited with
developed the techniques known as chiaroscuro and sfumato. These techniques involve using shadows
and subtle gradations in the paint. These techniques, along with his overall understanding

BAYESIAN LEARNING
Abstract
Uncertainty has presented a difficult obstacle in artificial intelligence. Bayesian learning outlines a
mathematically solid method for dealing with uncertainty based upon Bayes Theorem. The theory
establishes a means for calculating the probability an event will occur in the future given some
evidence based upon prior occurrences of the event and the posterior probability that the evidence will
predict the event. Its use in artificial intelligence has been met with success in a number of research
areas and applications including the development of cognitive models and neural networks. At the
same time, the theory has been criticized for being philosophically unrealistic and logistically
inefficient. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They allow intelligent systems flexibility and a logical way to update their database of knowledge.
The appeal of probability theories in AI lies in the way they express the qualitative relationship among
beliefs and can process these relationships to draw conclusions (Pearl, 1988).
One of the most formalized probabilistic theories used in AI relates to Bayes theorem. Bayesian
methods have been used for a variety of AI applications across many disciplines including cognitive
modeling, medical diagnosis, learning causal networks, and finance.
Two years after his death, in 1763, Rev. Thomas Bayes Essay Toward solving a Problem in the
Doctrine of Chances was published. Bayes is regarded as the first to use probability inductively and
established a mathematical basis for probability inference which he outlined in this now famous paper.
The idea behind Bayes method is simple; the probability that an event will occur in future trials can be
calculated from the frequency with which it has occurred in prior trails. Let s consider some everyday
knowledge to outline Bayes rule: where there s smoke, there s fire. We use this everyday cliche to
suggest cause and effect. But how are such relationships learned in and from everyday experience?
Conditional probability provides a way to estimate the likelihood of some outcome given a particular
situation. Bayes theorem further refines this idea by incorporating

Lab Report Titration
Abstract: In this experiment, our team analyzed an unknown acid and a sample of vinegar solution by
the process of titration using a 0.1 M sodium hydroxide solution as the titrant, as this solution is a
strong base. In addition, our team members used phenolphthalein as indicator in the reaction.
Introduction: First of all, for this experiment our team made use of several glassware, such as a buret,
three 250 mL erlenmeyer flask, and a 10 mL flask. Additional, we also used a buret clamp, a plastic
bottle with stopper, sodium hydroxide in form of pellets, potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP),
phenolphthalein as indicator, unknown acid and vinegar. The process of titration involves measuring
the exact volume of the known concertation (which in this case is sodium hydroxide) that is required
to react with a measured volume of an unknown concertation. Our team used sodium hydroxide, since
it is a common solution used in titration analysis of samples containing a solute acid. Nevertheless,
sodium hydroxide must be used quickly, since this solution can react with carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere and its concentration will change with the time. In order to not add an excess of titrant
than the necessary for the reaction, our team made use of phenolphthalein as indicator. This indicator
in particular changes to a pale pink color from basic pH. On the other hand, we also titrated a sample
of vinegar with the same sodium hydroxide solution, since vinegar is a dilute solution of acetic

Decline Of The World Wide Web
Decline of the World Wide Web
Hossein Derakhshan article, A Blogfather s Lament for the Web spoke about his concerns of the
decline of the web. Writing this article, he directed his concerns for Facebook users in 2014. The
article appeared to be about his past journaling experience in Iran which lead him to discover
blogging, while keeping connected with his readers from his daily column within the Iranian paper.
However, when Derakhshan went to prison because of his internet activities and returned six years
later, he argued that Facebook was decreasing the web user s individuality because of its centralized
appeal, stating that Facebook likes you to stay within it (Derakhshan, para.8), and McLuhan s concept
of technology being the extension of man , were used to analyze Derakhshan s argument on Facebook
trying to take over the web ruining human intelligence for the trouble time (Derakhshan, para, 17) .
Derakhshan felt that it prevented the opportunity to develop creative ideas and thoughts reducing their
exposure to more challenging and different ideas (Derakhshan. para.13), that the rest of the world web
can provide for the Facebook user.
Introducing the contrast of within and outside , Derakhshan was showing how the world wide web is
separated from Facebook. Derakhshan wrote on how Facebook was using the external resources of the

Summary Of The Movie 1967 Film
This 1967 film is about a college graduate who has an affair with his dads business partners wife. He
then falls for their daughter leading to problems and the climax. With the movie being a little bit older
there are many sound, light, editing, and movement effects that could be fixed. As quick as 6 minutes
and 47 seconds I noticed a bad effect. Ben, the main character s, mother was talking to the crowd in
the house as Ben walks away and goes upstairs. The woman s voice sounds as if it is the same distance
way from the camera as Ben is running away from where the woman was standing. There was not any
fading of her voice as there would be in real life if someone was walking away from the source of the
noise. The voice completely stops after ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, 36:40 37:58 Mrs. Robinson and Benjamin are having an emotional conversation. This
scene is over a minute long without any cuts made. That created the scene and conversation to be very
boring because we are not shown any of the emotion on the characters faces. If there were cuts
throughout the conversation, the scene would have been made much more interesting and would have
drew in the audience more. Throughout the movie some of the cuts during scenes were actually
pauses. Many transitions were just a few seconds of black screen leaving the audience sitting there
with nothing to look at. On the flip side there were some good transitions done by using fading. For
example, when Benjamin is in the pool they show him laying and fade that to him with Mrs. Robinson
right on top of the other scene. Another good transition they would do to make the scene more
interesting was focusing in and out on certain characters. This effect added emotion with a smooth

Symbolism In Everything That Rises Must Converge By OConnor
In Everything that Rises Must Converge , it appears to be what is a simple story. It seems that O
Connor has written this story which we can easily read and understand without having any struggle

blacks should rise, but on their own side of the fence. Because she offers a penny to a small black
child, in the point of view of her son she is. With all the humiliation that Julian gets by a child s

colored race which no longer take your condescending pennies. Julian also recognizes that the old
manners are obsolete and also that his mother s graciousness is not worth a damn. As well he who
begins to realize, that as we watch his mother die from the blow that the world is not that simple as we
thought he was. As they say it is not a world in which everything is either black or white. That is when
we realize that Everything that Rises Must Converge is not in its entirely a simple story. In the

Immature Mechanisms In Middle Adulthood
Cultural fiction Cultural fiction posits that ideas about middle adulthood are created by cultures.
Different cultures have varying views in the ways they recognize and understand middle adulthood
(Hutchison, 2015). In the United States, middle adulthood is often viewed through 2 cultural lenses.
The first sees mid life as a positive time in which an individual has accrued resources and coping
mechanisms. The second view of middle adulthood is a negative over the hill perspective, in which
this stage is viewed as a time of loss and decline (Hutchison, 2015). These differing views of losses
and gains in middle adulthood can be seen in the dynamic between Harvey Milk, and his adversary
(and murderer) Dan White. Harvey, throughout the film, accumulates as many resources as he can and
makes strides in his cause to gain justice for the gay community. Middle adulthood, for Milk, was
truly the prime of his life. His political opponent, Dan White, however, experienced a series of losses,
including his job and his political influence, which led him to become depressed and volcanically
angry. White s view of this time in his life was likely far more negative than Harvey s.
Immature mechanisms vs. mature mechanisms Immature mechanisms and mature mechanism describe
the ways in which people cope with life s demands. Immature mechanisms include denial, projection,
passive aggression, dissociation, acting out and fantasy. Mature mechanisms include sublimation,
altruism and humor

Comparing the Personalities of the Writers, Dante and Chaucer
Even though Dante and Chaucer never met, Dante having died 19 years before Chaucer was born,
Dante inadvertently became Chaucer s life long mentor. Dante s severe spirit turned out to be far more
harsh than Chaucer s nature, however Dante s protégé, Boccaccio, became one of Chaucer s greatest
inspirations. Looking back at both Dante and Chaucer s works, experts now see striking similarities in
their writing. Whether Chaucer ever meant to use Dante s materials or not, he is now closely
compared with his contrary counter part. The original purpose of this paper was to tell how closely
related Chaucer s writing was to Dante s, however, a closer look at the man, the better the picture is

These experiences made Dante quickly realize that this world is corrupt to the core. Greed for material
things is the main fault, greed which is allowed to dictate the actions of men. Only a cessation of
strife, the establishment of universal peace can ensure the happiness of mankind and allow men to
pursue the ultimate aim for which God has destined them on earth, that of exercising constantly and to
the full their distinctive quality, the Virtus Intellective (virtuous intellect) (Limentani,117). He
believed that life on this earth was for a purpose and had meaning to it this can be seen in the Inferno
because Dante is working to make his journey purposeful. He travels so far and tries so hard to work
his way up to heaven. Chaucer stands in contrast to Dante s almost dogmatic piety and looks to other
things as purposeful in his life. Chaucer s views of life come from a very political point of view. He
was introduced to court life while still in his teens, becoming a page to one of the kings daughter in
laws. From there he rose in status until he was promoted to the rank of esquire. Though he was
exposed to political plots and war Chaucer exhibit s a lust and compassion for life that completely
eludes Dante s works. While he was easy going and generally sympathetic to others Chaucer was
nothing of a typical idealist. While Dante searched for ways to better the world by destroying chaotic
war and hate, Chaucer was content to let the world

Investigation Of Using Dual Stack And Tunneling Mechanisms
Investigations of using Dual Stack and Tunneling Mechanisms in migration from IPV4 to IPV6:
Abstract
Introduction
Internet protocol written as IP in the short form is the method by which one computer communicates
by sending data to another computer over the Internet. Normally, each computer has a unique form of
IP address that identifies itself on the internet. Internet protocol has two versions: Internet protocol
version 4 and Internet protocol version 6 that is the most current version of IPV6 is an upgrade of
IPV4 (Gavrilova 2006). IPV6 has added advantages and therefore necessitates every organization to
migrate from IPV4 to IPV6.
Background of the study
The internet protocol version 4 abbreviated as IPV4 is a connectionless protocol ... Show more content

IPV6 is not a rigid IP as it allows for the growth of the internet concerning the number of
interconnected computers or hosts and the volume of data transmitted (Kott, Wang, Erbacher 2014).
The primary advantage of the IPV6 over IPV4 is the increase in IP addresses. However, there are other
advantages of IPV6 which include: automatic configuration, simplified and more efficient routing,
Simpler header format, flow labeling, easier administration, Flexible options and extensions, privacy
support and inbuilt authentication and an end to network address translation (Adibi, Mobasher, Tofigh
2010).
Objective/Aim of the Study
As Zurawski (2005) explains, an organization s network status and the speed at which they need the
IPV4 transition to IPV6 greatly determine the selection of the transition method, the dual stack
method, tunneling method or any available option.
This paper seeks to explore how the transition methods; the dual stack method and tunneling method
works. Businesses with small network devices and bleeding edge technology can promulgate to IPV6
faster compared to businesses with large network devices. Large companies usually have many and
large network devices, leading to slow Ipv4 to IPV6 transition process (Jonas, Rai, Tchuente 2013).
Following the multiple benefits resulting from IPV6, it is therefore, important that network
practitioners should seek expertise in IPV6 quickly in order to meet

Internal Revenue Code section 1221 defines capital asset as property held by the taxpayer (whether or
not connected with his trade or business), but does not include (1) Stock in trade of the taxpayer or
other property of a kind which would properly be included in the inventory of the taxpayer if on hand
at the close of the taxable year, or property held by the taxpayer primarily for sale to customers in the
ordinary course of his trade or business. As defined, Haig Simmons anthracite coal home heating and
delivery service business holds anthracite coal in the ordinary course of business and therefore, is not
considered a capital asset. Section 64 defines ordinary income as income earned from providing
services or the sale of goods (inventory) which is not a capital asset. Based on this definition, any
asset that does not classify as a capital asset is an ordinary asset. Since Haig Simmons was providing
home coal heating services for consumers, any inventory kept was for the purpose of maintaining a
steady, stable, and regular supply of coal and not held as a long term asset for future sale gains.

Good Vs Evil In Beowulf
The constant battle between good and evil rages still rages. Good rests upon a pedestal, surrounded by
the amazing holy light from above. It remains in the positive light, often being looked up to and
sometimes even applauded. On the other hand, evil fails to maintain the same respect and honor as
good. Evil remains surrounded by the darkness. It lingers around every corner, waiting for the next
chance to seduce anyones mind and soul at any given moment. It waits for the chance to bring havoc
into one s life ,but right as the chance comes, good emerges from the distance, right on time to
interfere with the evil scheme. The battle between good and evil never ends and becomes more violent
as each day passes. It occurs everywhere and all the time. The constant battle of good versus evil
remains proven by the epic poem Beowulf, the poem Good Vs Evil which shows the ongoing battle,
and the Holy Bible that shows evidence that this battle of good and evil has always existed. The epic
poem Beowulf contains a courageous hero. He embodies the side of good and epitomizes the
characteristics of a hero. He runs into multiple perilous battles against gruesome monsters. These
monsters include ones such as Grendel, Grendel s Mother, and the fire breathing dragon. The monsters
symbolize a life filled with darkness, evil, and sin. The first monster Beowulf comes to slaughter goes
by the name of Grendel. He was a [monster] born of cain, murderous creatures banished by God (20

Gender Inequality In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Sexuality over Centuries
And though she be but little, she is fierce (3.2 335). This was said in A Midsummer Night s Dream.
This represents the life women have of being perceived as small, objects, and as pointless. But as the
time has gone by, women have proved to be a fierce as the Presidents of the United States. When it
comes to looking at women and how they have been interpreted, the one question I have has to be why
Shakespeare was against the female gander. He was a man who was raised in the 16th century so he
has seen the roughness the women have to bear. He seen deal with men having numerous rights, the
feeling of cross dressing to get what they desire, and also fight for their own individual rights.
Looking into Shakespeare s work and interpreting his meaning behind the treatment of women, there
are many forms that take place from feminist actions to the appearance that is showing women,
including men, living on their daily lives.
Women in the 16th century lived a life greatly different than the women of today. The normal
occupation for women at the time was marriage and motherhood (McDonald 253). The women lived a
very rough life with only two basic tasks, they only cleaned the house and took care of ... Show more

male gender. The man and the husband did everything they could to be able to maintain rule of the

Autism is a developmental disability that significantly affect a person s verbal and nonverbal
communication, social interaction, and educational performance. This developmental disability affects
the brain, communication and interaction with others. People with this disability often have trouble

of the brain. The most obvious signs can be found at the ages of two or three years old.
There is no known single cause of autism. however, it is generally accepted that autism is caused by
abnormalities in the brain. Autism has been linked to genetic and environmental factors. Researchers
have identified a number of genes associated with the disorder.
There are six main characteristics of autism. They include: atypical language and development,
atypical social development, repetitive behavior, problem behavior, sensory and movement disorder,
and differences in intellectual functioning. People with autism have a broad range of language abilities
ranging from no verbal communication to quite complex communication.
Autism causes atypical social behaviors such as social interaction and social skills. people with autism
have a lack of reciprocity and they do not share enjoyments, achievements, and interests with others.
Sometimes they can have difficulty making friends. People with autism are often confused about the
appropriate social behaviors.
Another characteristic of autism is

The Effects Of Multitasking On College Students
While the consequences for teens who multitask during school time are severe, Luke 3 multitasking
also results in an excessive amount of wasted time. It takes several tenths of a second for the cerebral
cortex to switch from one task to another, and those tenths are what cause teens problems (Kuchinas,
Why Multitasking Isn t Efficient ). The time it takes to switch tasks decreases focus, which makes
teens slower in their activity ( Keim, Is Multitasking Bad For Us?). An experiment conducted by
Isenburg placed 89 college students in three different groups, assigning them to read a psychology
text. One group received instant messages before reading, one group received them after, and one
group received no instant messages while reading. The results of the procedure revealed that the
groups which read the instant messages took considerably longer to read the text than those who didn t
receive messages (46, 47). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Multitasking not only wastes time, but creates habits of speed and switching for teens. Speed is the
modern, natural high, asserts Dr. Edward Hallowell (Kuchinas, Why Multitasking Isn t Efficient ).
With teens wanting to constantly change interests, social media devices are extremely popular. This
atmosphere can become problematic in the real world, since there are many times when teens will
have to focus on one activity. As PhD David Meyer states, Doing several tasks simultaneously may
seem like the height of efficiency and it would be, if a person had more than one brain. In the real
world, multitasking actually wastes time and reduces work quality ( Why Multitasking Isn t Efficient )

Lowering The Bourbon Supply Chain Is A Shortage Of Barrels
Anyone familiar with the alcohol industry knows that bourbon is urging at the moment. Production
has steadily increased over the past 15 years and there seems to be no sign of it slowing in the near
future. However, this does not mean that the bourbon industry has maximized the potential of its
supply chain (Lariviere, 2015).
One significant risk impacting the bourbon supply chain is a shortage of barrels. There is a federal law
requiring that for a whiskey to be called bourbon it must age for two full years in a new oak barrel.
One would think that this law would cause an issue in that the supply of lumber to create the barrels
was not sufficient. That, however, is not the case. The actual issue at hand is that there is a shortage of
loggers. While the bourbon industry is urging at the moment and it does create significant revenue for
the lumber industry, that alone is not sufficient to keep logging companies in business. Thus, a lack of
loggers has resulted in a reduction in the amount of new oak barrels available for aging bourbon
(Lariviere, 2015)..
Another potential risk that could significantly impact the bourbon industry is climate change. Climate
change has the potential to severely alter weather patterns that are vital for the process of aging
bourbon. Barrel expansion and contraction is dependent on the changing of the seasons. Barrels are
rotated throughout warehouses as the seasons change. This process helps to successfully mature the
bourbon. If significant

Is Cheating Unethical
Cheating is unethical because it is wrong in every way, shape, and form. The definition of unethical in
dictionary.com is lacking moral principles, and unwilling to adhere to proper rules of conduct. When
you decide to cheat you have lacked your moral principles. You are no longer a person to trust. You
have decided to not play by fair rules, and therefore have lost your integrity. Cheating is unethical
because it s not fair that you take advantage of another person s intelligence for you to take it as your
own. During an exam there should never be cheating, that is why they tell you in advance about the
day of the test so you can study. So, it is inappropriate and illegal to cheat on your exam.
Cheating oversteps on the rights of other people because while another person is doing their best to
finish a paper right, another person is cheating. The right person spent hours studying for an exam, if
not days studying. They went to sleep late to learn the material taught in class to be able to do an exam
and get an A. While the wrong person doesn t study. They do all tons of other stuff but, open a book,
or their notes. Then they go to do an exam, and they cheat all over it. That is wrong because while a
person spent their time, studying or worked hard to learn the material, then the cheater student comes
without studying and decides to cheat. They both might get an A. But, the studied student deserves the
A because that person put the time, and dedication to earn it. While the other student got an A but they
know in the bottom of their heart that they didn t deserve the A. Also, a common type of cheating is
when in an exam a person is doing their test, and a student close to them starts copying them.
Cheating also oversteps on the rights of others by simply not being loyal, or not playing by the rules.
In a business, there might be 2 business partners. The one that sees the triumph of the business, and
the one who sees the interest of his own pocket. It is somewhat common that businesses with partners
usually end because one decides to step over the other one. And destroys the friendship of the two,
along with the business. When you cheat on a game it s a shame on you because you didn t play fairly.

Hypochondriasis Essay example
Hypochondriasis is a mental illness wherein an individual is preoccupied with the fear of having or the
idea of having a serious disease. It involves the misunderstanding of bodily symptoms. The sensations
of most hypochondriacs are intense and disturbing, leading to incorrectly connecting the symptoms to
a serious disease. It said that hypochondria is caused by a patients excessive worrying with having or
developing a disease. Often these patients seek medical attention, but a doctor s reassurance does not

They often seek medical assistance, but a Doctor s reassurance has no merit for the patient. A patient,
who is preoccupied with bodily sensations for less than six months, are classified as having a somatic
disorder. If the complaints persist, the patient is then labeled as a hypochondriac.
There are many causes for a patient to be a hypochondriac. When a hypochondria learns of a new
disease and its symptoms, he/she excessively worries that they have or developing the disease.
Attention can intensify a bodily sensation. By watching medical shows, a person can connect bodily
sensations felt with a disease described on the show. The misinterpretation of the bodily sensations is
what causes a patient to be a hypochondriac. Hypochondriasis might also be caused by anger deep
within a person. Rather than letting their anger out towards people, a person turns their anger into
physical symptoms. The life of a hypochondriac is usually unhappy and depressive. A hypochondriac
will fell hopeless and have a lack of interest in life. Lastly, hypochondria can be triggered by a
previous illness experienced or by a relative s sickness. Someone who was treated with cancer might
be more preoccupied with bodily sensations and will connect them to a disease. Hypochondriacs have
a fear. They fear that they will be struck with an illness. There are many causes why a person becomes
a hypochondriac and most being psychological.

The History of Cheerleading Essay
The history of cheerleading is connected to the development of sports in the United States and crowd
participation at athletic events. In 1869, the first American football college game took place at Rutgers
University against Princeton University in Piscataway, New Jersey. This was where cheerleading
initially began.
By the 1880s, the students at Princeton formed an all male student pep club to lead chants and yells in
order to support their team and create an exciting sports environment. To motivate their team, people
in the stands would yell encouragements such as Tiger, Tiger, Sis, Sis, Sis! and Princeton, Princeton,
Princeton! In 1884, Princeton alumni, Thomas Peebles, successfully introduced the concept of cheer
and pep club at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thanks to Campbell and his fellow yell leaders , Minnesota won the game 17 6 and cheerleading was
born. Based on their success, cheerleading continued to grow and develop over time. As participation
in cheerleading grew over time, new techniques and skills were added, until cheerleading became
what it is today. Meanwhile, the sport of Basketball invented in 1891, also grew in popularity and
became a major sport where cheerleading also continued to develop and prosper over the next 100
years.
For the first 25 years cheer was a male only activity. In 1923, the first women cheerleaders were
introduced at the University of Minnesota at their sports games. They were only allowed to join
because they had very limited options when it came to sports.. They wore ankle length skirts and
varsity sweaters. Female cheer squads included skills such as gymnastics, dance, and stunting in their
routines. In the 1930s, cheerleaders used paper poms when cheering. The first vinyl pom poms were
made in 1965. Even though women participated in cheerleading in several parts of the country, it wasn
t until the 1940s when the male students left the country to fight in World War II that women became
the majority of cheerleading s athletes. Women took charge and led the crowd in cheers and performed
their own routines. Today, more than 90% of the world s cheerleaders are female.

Why Build The Panama Canal
Why Build a Canal had an interesting take on the importance of building the Panama Canal. Many
believed the military had a great deal of importance using the ports. President Theodore Roosevelt
believed that an U.S needed a controlled canal that could offer a great deal of domination as far as
connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean for our military. Frenchman Ferdinand de Lesseps, who was
behind the Suez Canal, became an International Hero by marshaling the political and technical forces.
As shown in the photograph, Napoleon Garella was appointed by the French Government to survey
possible canal routes on the Isthmus of Panama. Surprisingly his was terribly wrong on some non

Garella thought that yellow fever didn t exist. He was terribly wrong and missed a very important and
critical health hazard that led to thousands of worker s death. Many people thought that the yellow
fever was caused by bad air, but it had been proven that the disease was transmitted by mosquitoes. It
was very tragic that it led to a lot of workers to death because it wasn t properly detected during the
survey. It was a good that William Gorgas used the research of physicians Ronald Ross, Carlos Juan
Finlay, and Walter Reed along with his own experience to get rid of the yellow fever within 18 months
or it could have led to more deaths. House mosquito was the carrier of the yellow fever, reading the
article is was bred in swamps, on the sides of river, and in puddles. As a worker it was very hard to
determine where the mosquitoes were coming from. It was surprising not to see how the workers were
being protected from the fever and mosquitoes, some would get immune and would live a long time,
but what about new workers that would come in and help build canal, how were they protected. As
shown in the picture crude oil was brought in to spray the areas where mosquitoes were breeding to
disrupt their life cycle. The spread of the yellow fever was eventually limited by using screens to bar

Writing Can Be A Struggle Essay
Introduction Writing can be a struggle. Even for myself, I am struggling right now to compose this last
paper for my degree. Nevertheless, I have the necessary tools and the mindset to complete this paper
with perfection. My working environment is peaceful. Soft classical music playing, soy candle
burning, and a cup of water next to my computer. (I am not a coffee person). My outline is fully filled
out with the research I want to incorporate into my paper. I know what my end goal is and the
expectations that I must achieve. I am ready to write! Students need this same type of determination
when they are writing. This is especially true for EL students. Based on research there are three main
principles for effectively teaching EL students: (1) generally, effective practices are likely to be
effective with ELs. (2) ELs require additional instructional supports. (3) The home language can be
used to promote academic development (Goldenberg, 2013, p. 5). In this paper, I am going to
highlight a few writing best practices that are research based to use within a classroom setting that are
particular successful for EL students.
Environment
The first practice I am going to discuss is creating a classroom community of writers. Writing is often
ignored, and when it is brought up in the classroom the students view it as a daunting task. Therefore,
it is up to the teacher to change this environment into a positive experience. In the article, Writing in
the ESL Classroom:

A Single Shot to the Head
Losing my husband, life partner and the father to my beautiful daughters was the most devastating
thing that ever happened to me. The last words I ever got to say to him was Don t spend too much
money tonight , kind of sad when you think about it. If I could I would have told him how much I love
him and how much I appreciated his company. If you think getting a phone call and hearing Ms
Dickson, I m sorry to tell you this but we ve found Neil Dickson with a single shot in his head along
with a suicide letter was the worst thing I ve ever heard, reading the final letter he wrote, summarising
everything in his life was heartbreaking. It sounded nothing like what Neil would ve said, I thought I
knew him but I guess I didn t. Weeks turned into months and eventually a year came around, the
phone constantly ringing. I was sick of the phrase sorry for your loss . I felt like saying you can t feel
what I ve been feeling until you lose your loved one, partner or husband.
2 years passed, Neil still gone. Me, still heartbroken. It was the same night I lost Neil I decided to
have some girls over, we laughed, drank and sung our hearts out. For once I finally felt like myself
again. Soon we were all so intoxicated that I didn t remember what happened next, all I know is that
one thing led to another and I was now apart of the biggest known dating website. All I could say was
I guess it couldn t hurt? My daughters Annie who was 7 and Hazel who was 9 couldn t stop laughing

The Concert At Alice Tully Hall
Throughout the semester, I went to several concerts, some classical in nature, some more popular, and
even a bit of house music made by DJs which was not really my style. One of the concerts that took
me out of my comfort zone the most was performed by a Juilliard Orchestra and conducted by
Juilliard faculty member, Jeffrey Millarsky.
The concert took place at Alice Tully Hall, a Lincoln Center concert venue. It is not as large as
Lincoln Center s opera house, but still a sizable space and it was quite full. The audience was
comprised mostly of older adults, many of whom were probably aficionados of classical music, or of
Lincoln Center shows in general. There were also some students there to support their classmates,
some of whom were talking loudly behind me about how they had fallen asleep at the last show Jeff
had conducted. There were also likely some family members who were supporting specific students.
For example, I noticed how important the night must be for the first violinist and her family as I
watched her shake hands with the conductor, and later the viola soloist, this was the culmination of
years of work. Then there was me, who did not really fit into any of the other categories of audience
members. Fortunately, it was nothing like a high school show where someone might notice you do not
belong. It was professional.
Even the room was such a professional feeling space. One of the loudly talking kids talked about how
he loved the way sound cut in Tully and

Reflection Paper on Foodcorp Simulation
Reflection Paper on Foodcorp Simulation
The Foodcorp simulation was a great exercise for this class. It was a fun activity. I felt that the
materials and the situations reflected the real organizational experiences. There were thirteen roles
with different responsibilities in the simulation. These roles create a structure of the organization. For
example, these roles create a three level of hierarchy, two groups of products; frozen foods and dry
foods, and the subsidiaries. I played the roles of senior vice president of frozen foods, vice president
of production and vice president of sales and marketing of frozen foods. For these roles, I had the
direct responsibilities to improve the situations that had been the issues in the frozen ... Show more

In other words the structure should develop more multifaceted and lateral forms of communication
and coordination. By shifting some positions among departments, I also believe that Foodcorp would
solve some structural problems. By doing the reorganization, Foodcorp could reduce time consuming
process and the problems could be approached right away.
I noticed that Foodcorp also had a problem with employee s motivation.
To solve this problem, Foodcorp should develop its human resource strategies. If we look at the
progressive companies such as Apple Inc and Google, we will see that they provide their employees
the competitive compensation and attractive benefit plans. I believe this is because they know that the
most valuable asset is their people. I also agree with them because I recognize that every organization
depends on their people. When the fit between people and organizations is poor, one or both suffer:
individuals may feel neglected or oppressed, and organizations sputter because individuals withdraw
their efforts or even work against organizational purpose. Conversely, a good fit benefits both:
individuals find meaningful and satisfying work, and organizations get the talent and energy they need
to succeed (Bolman, Deal, p.137). Therefore, many successful companies always seek for the best
human resource strategies to keep their employees and make them loyal to the company. According to
the memos, there

Who Is Joseph Conrad Uncivilized
Through contemplation of Joseph Conrad s complex descriptions and ideas of life in Africa, or the
heart of darkness, it can be established that he is, in fact, not racist. Conrad was simply expressing the
dark, uncivilized manners of the African people to contrast the light European hoi polloi and the unfair
dehumanization of slaves in his time period. The African people that Conrad viewed as uncivilized
could be considered an act of racism; however, it is also logical to believe that he was merely trying to
demonstrate the common, effete opinion among Europeans of this time frame. This would also explain
Conrad s complex framed narrative as he didn t want to be viewed as racist. His framed narrative
could demonstrate the confusion he had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was not racist, but it could be concluded that Conrad was generally not a fan of humanity; It was
very simple, and at the end of that moving appeal to every altruistic sentiment it blazed at you,
luminous and terrifying like a flash of lightning in a serene sky: Exterminate all the brutes! (Conrad
407). At the surface, this quote seems to be a cry for the brutes or Africans to be destroyed, yet it could
also be assumed that Conrad is absolutely tired of the darkness of mankind in general. Ellie Arielle
addresses this quotation, as well, by saying; Although Kurtz is implying that the people and the
situation in the Congo are in need of some considerable control and that the only solution he sees is
extermination, what Marlow realizes is that humanity is not the cause of the problem and that the
Africans are not the heart of darkness, but that greed and lust for economic freedom is. (Arielle) The
topic of economic freedom appears frequently throughout the novella especially with the arrival of the
ribald Eldorado Exploring Expedition. It is clear that the European men are oblivious to their
surroundings and only interested in money and this is another way for Conrad to show how humanity
has let him down. One critic explains that Heart of Darkness offers an, analysis

Jung
Biography
Carl Gustav Jung was born July 26, 1875, in the small Swiss village of Kessewil. His father was Paul
Jung, a country parson, and his mother was Emilie Preiswerk Jung. He was surrounded by a fairly
well educated extended family, including quite a few clergymen and some eccentrics as well. The
elder Jung started Carl on Latin when he was six years old, beginning a long interest in language and
literature especially ancient literature. Besides most modern western European languages, Jung could
read several ancient ones, including Sanskrit, the language of the original Hindu holy books. Carl was
a rather solitary adolescent, who didn t care much for school, and especially couldn t take competition.
He went to boarding school in Basel, Switzerland, where he found himself the object of a lot of
jealous harassment. He began to use sickness as an excuse, developing an embarrassing tendency to
faint under pressure. Although his first career choice was archeology, he went on to study medicine at
the University of Basel. While working under the famous neurologist Krafft Ebing, he settled on
psychiatry as his career. After graduating, he took a position at the Burghoeltzli Mental Hospital in
Zurich under Eugene Bleuler, an expert on (and the namer of) schizophrenia. In 1903, he married

  • 2. The Florida Conference Of Seventh Day Adventists Essay A Storybranding Analysis of the Florida Conference of Seventh Day Adventists The early Adventist Church emerged from a climate of religious revival in the Northeastern United States , (Lechleitner, 2013). Its founder was the late William Miller, (Slick, n.d.). The Church was founded based on the idea of the Second Coming of Jesus, (Church, 2013). The Seventh Day Adventism is a Christian faith with multiple fundamental beliefs such as the Sabbath. The Sabbath is the day in which God decided to rest after creating the Earth. For the Seventh Day Adventists, the Sabbath is Saturday, as God rested on the Seventh Day of the week. Ellen G. White, a woman considered one of the founding members of the Church and a prophetess, developed another fundamental belief of how husbands should treat their wives as equal, the way they were created to be , (Banks, 1992). As we can see, women play an important role in this doctrine. As the Seventh Day Adventist Church grew, they developed Conferences around the World. For the purpose of this study, we will look into the Florida Conference. Florida Conference of Seventh day Adventists is an unincorporated, nonprofit organisation which serves as the administrative body for its sisterhood of churches with an emphasis on evangelism, nurturing constituents, and operating a system of schools , (Adventist, n.d.). The Florida Conference covers 57 counties of the 67 in the State of Florida, it also manages 206 churches, 56 companies, and at least 33 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Causes Of The Stratovolcano Tambora The stratovolcano Tambora makes up the 60 km wide Sanggar Peninsula on northern Sumbawa Island, Indonesia, and is still currently active today. Erupting on April 10, 1815, Tambora, which is considered the largest observed eruption in recorded history, induced mass destruction to villages, widespread famine, and global climate change that would last for years to come. Standing nearly 14,000 feet high, Tambora experienced small tremors and streams of pyroclastic flow before erupting, shooting 60 megatons of sulfur, 36 cubic miles of ash, pumice, and aerosols into the atmosphere. Sulfurous gas from the volcano combined with water vapor droplets in the air, which then stuck in earth s atmosphere, and were dispersed through both hemispheres due to stratospheric currents. These particles then increased sunlight absorption, contributing to lower amounts of sunlight seen from earth. This caused a drop in global temperatures by nearly 5.4 degrees fahrenheit. These temperature drops reached as far as New England, which caused difficulty in crop production and increased famine, leading to the year of 1816 being called the year without a summer. The initial impact of the eruption killed somewhere around 10,000 citizens instantly, while the chain of events afterwards, including food shortages, famine, pyroclastic flows, and tsunamis, caused an estimated 100,000 deaths. The massive eruption measured a 7 on the VEI scale, or Volcanic Explosivity Index, and released around 100 cubic km of magma. In total, it lasted no more than 3 days, and 300 500 million kilograms of volcanic debris was released per second. Stratovolcanoes produce magma that contain high amounts of silica, giving it a high viscosity, or thickness, causing it to not flow very far. 500,000 square kilometers of land around Tambora was covered with at least 1 centimeter of ash. Following the eruption, a collapse caldera was formed. These are formed when a powerful volcanic eruption occurs, and collapses in on the weak rock that had previously been supporting the magma chamber underneath the volcano, forming a crater. This caldera is now around 1.2 kilometers deep, meaning the volcano lost several kilometers of elevation following the eruption. It is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Cardiovascular Disease In Women Essay Introduction The topic I will explore is heart disease in women. The question, what do healthcare providers need to know about cardiovascular disease in women and how their symptoms and presentation differ from men will be discussed. Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in women and men in the Western world. Nearly 1 million cardiovascular related deaths a year are women. Many women s risk factors go unrecognized and untreated by their primary care physician (Pregler et al., 2009). According to FamilyDoctor.org, American women are 4 to 6 times more likely to die of heart disease that of breast cancer (2009). In generally men have an earlier onset of heart disease than to women but have a higher survival rate from heart ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Current Evidence Based Status Crimmins, Hayward, Ueda Saito and Kim in there journal article give statistical data on heart disease and death in both women and men (2008). This article states 37 percent of men and 27 percent of women over the age 65 report having a heart condition (Crimmins et al., 2008). Crimmins research addresses the many differences in men with coronary artery disease compared to women with coronary artery disease. The study noted that men have a higher mortality rate from heart disease than do women (Crimmins et al., 2008). This article also notes that 40 50 percent of postmenopausal women will develop heart disease (Crimmins et al., 2008). Crimmins and colleges noted men develop heart disease 5 to 10 years earlier in life than do women ( 2008). Evidence suggests that women who are hospitalized for cardiovascular issues are less likely to receive certain types of drugs and diagnostic and treatment procedures (Crimmins et al., 2008). Low socio economic status and poor educational levels also have a marked effect on men and women s knowledge of cardiovascular disease and the timing of when they seek treatment (Hemingway, 2007). Crimmins and colleges in their study results noted, on average, the onset for heart disease in men is around 50 to 70 years of age and 73 years of age for women (Crimmins et al., 2008). There is also marked evidence that many women s symptoms go ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Change The World Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication . Leonardo da Vinci was a quiet man, but is well known for his intelligence. He was a man of few words, and never bragged about his intelligence. He let his work do the talking for him. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the world s most incredible minds. He changed the word with his scientific discoveries, many inventions, and beautiful art. Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He was born out of wedlock to Ser Piero and a peasant women. His father was a well respected notary, but was never involved in Leonardo s life ( Renaissance Man ). Leonardo only received a general education, which included reading, writing, and basic math. His teachers and mother quickly realized his potential, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Renaissance was a new age in Europe. It means rebirth , which was a demonstration of what was going on at the time. People began to explore the world, develop new artistic styles, and make advances in math and science ( Renaissance ). Leonardo was the leader of the pack. He is the man behind the brush of some of the most iconic paintings ever, including The Last Supper , Mona Lisa , and Vitruvian Man. He was commissioned by Ludovico in 1495 to begin the last supper. The painting took da Vinci nearly three years, and shows the moment went Jesus notifies his Twelve Apostles that one of them would soon betray him. Da Vinci does an incredible job of capturing the intensity of the moment. He demonstrates his brilliance with his masterful strokes that portray the facial expressions and body language of everyone in the room ( Leonardo da Vinci ). Leonardo spent a lot of time examining the human body to try perfecting his art. He had an acute understanding of proportions and movements of the human body. In his painting, Vitruvian Man , it is clear that he understands more than most humans of that time period. Vitruvian Man states that the average man is nearly two meters tall, and his outstretched arms are equal to the length of his body ( The Complete Works ). In the Mona Lisa , uses some of his own techniques to make the painting extremely realistic. He treated objects as 3 D figures, and used shadows, instead of lines, when outlining figures. Nobody knows who Mona Lisa depicts, but that is beside the fact. It is easily one of the most famous paintings of all time. Using his knowledge, da Vinci made his paintings more realistic and defined. He is also credited with developed the techniques known as chiaroscuro and sfumato. These techniques involve using shadows and subtle gradations in the paint. These techniques, along with his overall understanding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Bayesian Learning Essay examples BAYESIAN LEARNING Abstract Uncertainty has presented a difficult obstacle in artificial intelligence. Bayesian learning outlines a mathematically solid method for dealing with uncertainty based upon Bayes Theorem. The theory establishes a means for calculating the probability an event will occur in the future given some evidence based upon prior occurrences of the event and the posterior probability that the evidence will predict the event. Its use in artificial intelligence has been met with success in a number of research areas and applications including the development of cognitive models and neural networks. At the same time, the theory has been criticized for being philosophically unrealistic and logistically inefficient. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They allow intelligent systems flexibility and a logical way to update their database of knowledge. The appeal of probability theories in AI lies in the way they express the qualitative relationship among beliefs and can process these relationships to draw conclusions (Pearl, 1988). One of the most formalized probabilistic theories used in AI relates to Bayes theorem. Bayesian methods have been used for a variety of AI applications across many disciplines including cognitive modeling, medical diagnosis, learning causal networks, and finance. Two years after his death, in 1763, Rev. Thomas Bayes Essay Toward solving a Problem in the Doctrine of Chances was published. Bayes is regarded as the first to use probability inductively and established a mathematical basis for probability inference which he outlined in this now famous paper. The idea behind Bayes method is simple; the probability that an event will occur in future trials can be calculated from the frequency with which it has occurred in prior trails. Let s consider some everyday knowledge to outline Bayes rule: where there s smoke, there s fire. We use this everyday cliche to suggest cause and effect. But how are such relationships learned in and from everyday experience? Conditional probability provides a way to estimate the likelihood of some outcome given a particular situation. Bayes theorem further refines this idea by incorporating ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Lab Report Titration Abstract: In this experiment, our team analyzed an unknown acid and a sample of vinegar solution by the process of titration using a 0.1 M sodium hydroxide solution as the titrant, as this solution is a strong base. In addition, our team members used phenolphthalein as indicator in the reaction. Introduction: First of all, for this experiment our team made use of several glassware, such as a buret, three 250 mL erlenmeyer flask, and a 10 mL flask. Additional, we also used a buret clamp, a plastic bottle with stopper, sodium hydroxide in form of pellets, potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP), phenolphthalein as indicator, unknown acid and vinegar. The process of titration involves measuring the exact volume of the known concertation (which in this case is sodium hydroxide) that is required to react with a measured volume of an unknown concertation. Our team used sodium hydroxide, since it is a common solution used in titration analysis of samples containing a solute acid. Nevertheless, sodium hydroxide must be used quickly, since this solution can react with carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and its concentration will change with the time. In order to not add an excess of titrant than the necessary for the reaction, our team made use of phenolphthalein as indicator. This indicator in particular changes to a pale pink color from basic pH. On the other hand, we also titrated a sample of vinegar with the same sodium hydroxide solution, since vinegar is a dilute solution of acetic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Once someone has trusted someone that failed them, it almost ends all relationships for that person. Dating is not the same as it was back in the 80s. Yes, dating is something of the past because most people don t even care anymore. They are afraid of commitment. Lots of them let the past predict the future. Writing this article, he directed his concerns for Facebook users in 2014. The article appeared to be about his past journaling experience in Iran which lead him to discover blogging, while keeping connected with his readers from his daily column within the Iranian paper. However, when Derakhshan went to prison because of his internet activities and returned six years later, he argued that Facebook was decreasing the web user s individuality because of its centralized appeal, stating that Facebook likes you to stay within it (Derakhshan, para.8), and McLuhan s concept of technology being the extension of man , were used to analyze Derakhshan s argument on Facebook trying to take over the web ruining human intelligence for the trouble time (Derakhshan, para, 17) . Derakhshan felt that it prevented the opportunity to develop creative ideas and thoughts reducing their exposure to more challenging and different ideas (Derakhshan. para.13), that the rest of the world web can provide for the Facebook user. He then falls for their daughter leading to problems and the climax. With the movie being a little bit older there are many sound, light, editing, and movement effects that could be fixed. As quick as 6 minutes and 47 seconds I noticed a bad effect. Ben, the main character s, mother was talking to the crowd in the house as Ben walks away and goes upstairs. The woman s voice sounds as if it is the same distance way from the camera as Ben is running away from where the woman was standing. That created the scene and conversation to be very boring because we are not shown any of the emotion on the characters faces. If there were cuts throughout the conversation, the scene would have been made much more interesting and would have drew in the audience more. Throughout the movie some of the cuts during scenes were actually pauses. Many transitions were just a few seconds of black screen leaving the audience sitting there with nothing to look at. On the flip side there were some good transitions done by using fading. It seems that O Connor has written this story which we can easily read and understand without having any struggle with abstract religion symbolism. • 12. Immature Mechanisms In Middle Adulthood Cultural fiction Cultural fiction posits that ideas about middle adulthood are created by cultures. Different cultures have varying views in the ways they recognize and understand middle adulthood (Hutchison, 2015). In the United States, middle adulthood is often viewed through 2 cultural lenses. The first sees mid life as a positive time in which an individual has accrued resources and coping mechanisms. The second view of middle adulthood is a negative over the hill perspective, in which this stage is viewed as a time of loss and decline (Hutchison, 2015). These differing views of losses and gains in middle adulthood can be seen in the dynamic between Harvey Milk, and his adversary (and murderer) Dan White. Harvey, throughout the film, accumulates as many resources as he can and makes strides in his cause to gain justice for the gay community. Middle adulthood, for Milk, was truly the prime of his life. His political opponent, Dan White, however, experienced a series of losses, including his job and his political influence, which led him to become depressed and volcanically angry. White s view of this time in his life was likely far more negative than Harvey s. Immature mechanisms vs. mature mechanisms Immature mechanisms and mature mechanism describe the ways in which people cope with life s demands. Comparing the Personalities of the Writers, Dante and Chaucer Even though Dante and Chaucer never met, Dante having died 19 years before Chaucer was born, Dante inadvertently became Chaucer s life long mentor. Dante s severe spirit turned out to be far more harsh than Chaucer s nature, however Dante s protégé, Boccaccio, became one of Chaucer s greatest inspirations. Looking back at both Dante and Chaucer s works, experts now see striking similarities in their writing. Whether Chaucer ever meant to use Dante s materials or not, he is now closely compared with his contrary counter part. Greed for material things is the main fault, greed which is allowed to dictate the actions of men. He believed that life on this earth was for a purpose and had meaning to it this can be seen in the Inferno because Dante is working to make his journey purposeful. He travels so far and tries so hard to work his way up to heaven. Chaucer stands in contrast to Dante s almost dogmatic piety and looks to other things as purposeful in his life. Chaucer s views of life come from a very political point of view. He was introduced to court life while still in his teens, becoming a page to one of the kings daughter in laws. From there he rose in status until he was promoted to the rank of esquire. Though he was exposed to political plots and war Chaucer exhibit s a lust and compassion for life that completely eludes Dante s works. While he was easy going and generally sympathetic to others Chaucer was nothing of a typical idealist. Normally, each computer has a unique form of IP address that identifies itself on the internet. Internet protocol has two versions: Internet protocol version 4 and Internet protocol version 6 that is the most current version of IPV6 is an upgrade of IPV4 (Gavrilova 2006). IPV6 is not a rigid IP as it allows for the growth of the internet concerning the number of interconnected computers or hosts and the volume of data transmitted (Kott, Wang, Erbacher 2014). The primary advantage of the IPV6 over IPV4 is the increase in IP addresses. However, there are other advantages of IPV6 which include: automatic configuration, simplified and more efficient routing, Simpler header format, flow labeling, easier administration, Flexible options and extensions, privacy support and inbuilt authentication and an end to network address translation (Adibi, Mobasher, Tofigh 2010). Objective/Aim of the Study As Zurawski (2005) explains, an organization s network status and the speed at which they need the IPV4 transition to IPV6 greatly determine the selection of the transition method, the dual stack method, tunneling method or any available option. The time it takes to switch tasks decreases focus, which makes teens slower in their activity ( Keim, Is Multitasking Bad For Us?). Production has steadily increased over the past 15 years and there seems to be no sign of it slowing in the near future. However, this does not mean that the bourbon industry has maximized the potential of its supply chain (Lariviere, 2015). One significant risk impacting the bourbon supply chain is a shortage of barrels. There is a federal law requiring that for a whiskey to be called bourbon it must age for two full years in a new oak barrel. One would think that this law would cause an issue in that the supply of lumber to create the barrels was not sufficient. That, however, is not the case. The actual issue at hand is that there is a shortage of loggers. While the bourbon industry is urging at the moment and it does create significant revenue for the lumber industry, that alone is not sufficient to keep logging companies in business. Thus, a lack of loggers has resulted in a reduction in the amount of new oak barrels available for aging bourbon (Lariviere, 2015).. Another potential risk that could significantly impact the bourbon industry is climate change. Climate change has the potential to severely alter weather patterns that are vital for the process of aging bourbon. Barrel expansion and contraction is dependent on the changing of the seasons. Barrels are rotated throughout warehouses as the seasons change. This process helps to successfully mature the bourbon. If significant ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The definition of unethical in dictionary.com is lacking moral principles, and unwilling to adhere to proper rules of conduct. When you decide to cheat you have lacked your moral principles. You are no longer a person to trust. You have decided to not play by fair rules, and therefore have lost your integrity. Cheating is unethical because it s not fair that you take advantage of another person s intelligence for you to take it as your own. During an exam there should never be cheating, that is why they tell you in advance about the day of the test so you can study. So, it is inappropriate and illegal to cheat on your exam. Cheating oversteps on the rights of other people because while another person is doing their best to finish a paper right, another person is cheating. The right person spent hours studying for an exam, if not days studying. They went to sleep late to learn the material taught in class to be able to do an exam and get an A. While the wrong person doesn t study. They do all tons of other stuff but, open a book, or their notes. Then they go to do an exam, and they cheat all over it. That is wrong because while a person spent their time, studying or worked hard to learn the material, then the cheater student comes without studying and decides to cheat. They both might get an A. But, the studied student deserves the A because that person put the time, and dedication to earn it. While the other student got an A but they know in the bottom of their heart that they didn t deserve the A. Also, a common type of cheating is when in an exam a person is doing their test, and a student close to them starts copying them. Cheating also oversteps on the rights of others by simply not being loyal, or not playing by the rules. In a business, there might be 2 business partners. Conversely, a good fit benefits both: individuals find meaningful and satisfying work, and organizations get the talent and energy they need to succeed (Bolman, Deal, p.137).
