My math teaching experience went with students who are in third grade. In my group I had four
students, where was one ELL student. They were struggling in math as per their teacher, especially
in subtracting big numbers with zeroes. I had to reteach subtraction, three or two digit number, as
needed, from three digit number. And concentrate on subtractions from zeroes. Everything started
great, the kids were exiting, as of they are going out of the room. We sat down in the hall and it
was not comfortable.The kids were sitting near the wall, I was sitting in front of them in the
middle of the walking area. As of kids were sitting on the floor and me too, we were several
times distracted by other kids or adults, who was walking through the hall, it was always
disturbing us. I started my lesson with math solving problem and my students easy were able to

them to solve this problem independently. Student 1, was just sitting, Student 2 used her fingers to

The purpose of this experiment is to find out if we can identify an unknown Cobalt (II) nitrate
concentration by using Calorimetry. Calorimetry involves the use of light to determine a specific
solute in solution (Sullivan 238).A given molecule absorbs particular frequencies of light and
passes others. If we are able to determine the degree in which various frequencies are absorbed, the
population or concentration of a given molecule in solution can be determined. In this experiment
we are trying to find out the visible spectrum of the known Cobalt (II) nitrate solution by using
absorption versus the wavelengths to determine the analytical wavelength. Once the analytical
wavelength is found we can use that to identify the unknown Cobalt (II) nitrate solution, by using
the Beer s law.

been reading the latest news regarding Cassandra C., the teen with Hodgkin s lymphoma who
refused treatment but was forced into receiving it by a Connecticut Supreme Court ruling. As a
mother and a bioethicist, these are the times when reconciling my personal opinions with my
professional experience can be most challenging. Many of my mom friends were shocked and
horrified by the image of a young woman being restrained to a bed, forced to undergo treatment.
They had visions of a screaming pained girl, a mother helpless to save her child, and big brother
dispensing poison to an innocent girl whirled through our collective mind. From an ethics
standpoint, it is generally wrong to force medical treatment on anyone, particularly when there are
cultural and religious factors to be taken into consideration. I am reminded of cases involving
Christian Scientists who believe that any traditional medical intervention is contrary to their

Abstract The paper presents a theoretical model and a system concept to provide a smart electronic
aid for blind people. The system is intended to provide overall measures Obstacle detrection with
the use of ultrasonic and infrared (IR) sensors ,real time assistance via global positioning system
(GPS) and an Android device to provide ease of use and portability of the stick due to the
popularity of android.The system consists of ultrasonic sensors ,IR sensor, Bluetooth
module,Android device with GPS and dual feedback system auditory as well as vibratory.The aim
of the overall system is to provide a low cost and efficient navigation aid for blind. This paper
reports on a study that may help visually impaired people to walk more confidently. The study
hypothesizes that a smart stick that can alert visually impaired people over obstacles in front and
could help them in walking with less accidents. The aim of the paper is to make a stick that could
communicate with the users through voice alert and vibration,and help them in navigation with the
