UTRGV Case Study
The current business process of UTRGV, specifically, of course delivery is to deliver classes via
two main means. They are the traditional method of face to face and virtually through
Blackboard. However, this current process is in need of great improvement after the UTPA and
UTB merger. That is, due to the vast distance separating both campuses, students are in need of a
third course delivery option. Students need an option that enables them to take all their classes
from one single location. As of right now, students must decide to take their classes face to face at
the Edinburg and/or Brownsville. However, the problem is that some classes are exclusively
offered at one and not both campuses. Currently, the way around this problem is to... Show more

This is where information technology can be used to improve such process. Currently, students
must choose from two primary methods. They are face to face and online respectively. Yet, with
the use of information technology, UTRGV is able to implement and offer students a third
option. This option will be better suited to meet the needs of two across both the Edinburg and
Brownsville campuses. It is through the usage of the online meeting and videoconferencing
application WebEx that a third course delivery method is able to be offered. Through WebEx,
professors are able to live streamed (and record) their lectures across both campuses.
Specifically, professors are able to share their screens and hold an interactive lecture where all the
students (even those 70 miles away) are able to contribute and ask questions. Without question,
this is of great advantage to students especially when only one course section is being offered. It
will eliminate unnecessary travel time and costs which could be put to better productive use
elsewhere. For a visual representation of the new business process, please see Figure 1: Business

Value Of Dual Citizenship
In order to fully understand the meaning and value of dual citizenship, Mrs. Alessandra Dal
Cengio Leonardi, a dual national of Italy and U.S.A, was interviewed. The scholarly readings and
research on the topic of dual citizenship were beneficial in learning the legal obligations of the
system but the interview revealed a true and realistic view of the process and its life changing
consequences. Answers to the interview questions were paraphrased and recorded as a story in the
following pages.
(What is your citizenship of birth and what were the steps to acquire your citizenship?)
Alessandra was born in Italy by Italian parents, and therefore had only an Italian citizenship at birth.
After marrying an Italian man and having a daughter, Alessandra... Show more content on

She found it exciting to be asked to be part of a jury, since that was not offered in Italy. Serving
on a jury was a great experience and allowed Alessandra the ability to contribute to improving the
society. In addition, the Family law is a bit different between the two countries. It was important
to double check to make sure that she was respecting both directives for everything she did with
her children when they were minors, especially if they travelled. For example, Italy will not
issue a passport to a parent of a minor unless the spouse signs a consent form. It seems a bit
drastic but it is done to protect children s rights so a parent that is supposed to pay child support

Camouflage Hijacking
We all have learned that society s models repeat themselves in patterns through time cycles.
Entertainment has been offered freely to the citizens as substitutions for education since the ancient
Roman times. A procedure done systematically in order to keep the power. Following the formula:
The larger the percentage of ignorance of the many, the stronger the power of the few, the many are
the victims of a camouflage hijacking. The revealing of the facts has been concealed, not disclosed
in their entirety. A deliberate substitution that has been proven successful. Looking in depth of the
equations of the adopted methods, we can see that there is insecurity behind it that it is responsible
for the fear that the voters will rebel against the system... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am talking about the telephony systems that has such a major importance in our lives. In my
youth there were not instances that made us talk to machines until the introduction of the
answering machine, that come later in time. The system, did work at his best in a simple
manner without offering many choices and was provided at affordable price in relation to the
cost of the living. The telephone that was originally envisioned and prototyped by the Italian

Just A Dream By Chris Van Allsburg
The children s book, Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg explains the importance of having a clean
environment and what the consequences will be if you do not take care of it. The story opens with
Walter eating a jelly doughnut and throwing the empty bag it came in at the fire hydrant. This
displayed how Walter did not take littering seriously, but at the end realized how important it truly
is to keep the environment pollutionfree. Allsburg takes us on a journey through Walter s dreams
explaining what you should and should not do to the environment through words and the detailed
illustrations.
Walter is the main protagonist in Allsburg book because the story is based off of all of the
dreams he is having and is on each page of the book. When you flip through the book, you notice
in the opening scene that first Walter has his back faced towards the reader and when you keep
going through Walter is always there. One thing we can notice when we look at the book is how
unappreciative he is of nature. When Rose says she got a tree for her birthday he did not seem so
pleased about it instead, he called it a dumb plant. Also, he was supposed to sort through the trash
and recycle, but instead he just puts everything in one trash can which shows how he does not care
about recycling. Walter realizes at the end that nature is important and we should cherish it. When
he returns back from all his dreams he gets up and goes outside to the trash that he did not sort
through and puts the

Symptoms And Treatment Of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases
In the current world population there is a large increase in people diagnosed with inflammatory
bowel diseases (IBDs), lactose intolerance and/or a combination of the two. Theories suggest that
the delayed onset of lactose intolerance, in patients who already have IBD s, may arise as
secondary lactose intolerance but only as a byproduct of the IBD. This begs the question of if the
prevalence of an IBD predisposes that same person to lactose intolerance and if so, what are the
drivers that allow this to happen? Inflammatory bowel diseases are categorized into two subset
categories, ulcerative colitis(UC) and Crohn s disease. IBD s are defined as a chronic inflammation
of all or part of a digestive tract. The inflammation takes place... Show more content on

Those who are lactose intolerant also have diminishes levels of lactase, the small intestinal enzyme
responsible for the catalysis of lactose. Dietary supplementation of the lactase enzyme has, in some
cases, proven to rectify the symptoms of lactose intolerance.
During infancy the vast majority of humans have the ability to digest and catabolize lactose into
glucose and galactose via the lactase enzyme. This catabolic capability is vital for newborn
mammals, given that their primary source of nutrition comes from their mother s milk. During the
weaning period, when children cease to use milk as a primary source of nutrition, the production of
the lactase enzyme severely deteriorates and eventually leads to the inability to catabolize lactose.
While this may be the natural progression of the expression of the lactase enzyme, there remains a
large, predominantly western population that maintains a steady production of lactase, those
individuals are known as lactase persistent (Baumgart, et al.).
Lactase Persistence Causes: Lactase persistence has been strongly suggested to be a function of
genetic causes and its inheritance occurs in an autosomal recessive manner. Individuals that exhibit
the highest lactase activity are genotypically homozygous recessive for lactase persistence; where
as individuals who show lower lactase activities are heterozygous or homozygous

Thoreau And Keats
A brilliant American poet, Henry David Thoreau, once claimed, This world is but a canvas to
our imagination . This idea that everything can be interpreted differently using creativity is
evident in many of John Keats poems. However, how does Ode on a Grecian Urn reveal the
beauty of art? Keats uses different images of melodies, love, and happiness to show that the idea
of true beauty of art is within the eye of the beholder. The first image that shows how beauty is
in the eye of the beholder is when Keats illustrates a melody without sound. Keats says, Heard
melodies are sweet, but those unheard/ are sweeter (Lines 11 12). Keats is saying that heard
melodies are beautiful and great, but a melody that is imagined is much more powerful. This
helps to show how Keats is trying to say beauty is within the interpretation of the art because the
listener can imagine whatever he or she wants to hear. Keats goes on to say, Pipe to the spirit
ditties of no tone , ordering the reader to play music with no tone or sound (14). This is because
he believes that the true beauty of art is in the creativity of the beholder and that art can be
interpreted in many ways. To play a song with no tone or sound,... Show more content on

To relate to different audiences, Keats says, She cannot fade, though thou hast not thy bliss,
/ For ever wilt thou love, and she be fair! (17). This quote helps to show how Keats is attempting
to appeal to different audiences because he is so vague on the topic of love. This vagueness
allows the reader to relate and picture an ideal relationship where the girl s beauty never fades.
The idea of true beauty is different to everyone and Keats writes about different audiences to
appeal to many different types of people. By allowing different interpretations on an image, Keats
enables the reader to see the true beauty in his poem by having them relate and use their

Comparing The Signalman by Dickens and The Withered Arm by Hardy The Signalman and The
Withered Arm , are two short stories showing supernatural events. Authors, Dickens, and Hardy
intrigue readers by using certain techniques. These techniques add suspense and mystery to the
story, which makes the reader, want to read further on. The openings in both narratives begin with a
short dialogue. The dialogue in The Signalman begins with the narrator talking to the Signalman:
Halloa! Below there! This throws the readers into action and engages them into the story. It
introduces them to the characters. The setting of the place is one of an eerie atmosphere. It hints
that something unnatural and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the introduction to the story, there is also a brief description of the setting. This creates
a sense of direction, as we know the atmosphere of the narrative. Hardy creates ambiguity by
leaving unresolved questions in chapter one. Some of these questions are, who is farmer Lodge
s wife, and why Rhoda Brooks is thin and fading when she is not very old. We as readers, want to
find out the situation to why she is isolated from other employees and why there is no contact
between Farmer Lodge and Rhoda and her son. The author of The Withered Arm creates
unresolved questions at the beginning of the plot because he wants to leave readers guessing future
plots. Unresolved questions in the story make the reader more involved as they too can speculate
what events will occur. The author uses this technique effectively as suspense is added to the story.
We are shown dramatic and unpredictable events. This causes tension and adds to the excitement
that occurs when it is read. The openings of the two short stories are very similar to each other.
Both authors write the introductions expressively to catch the reader s eye. The techniques used
make it more intriguing for us to read. The similar techniques applied to the beginning of the story
are adding dialogue, introduction to the main characters and a short but concise description of the

The Cask Of Amontillado By Edgar Allan Poe
Connoisseurs often adhere to the changing of wine based on its age. Although the process of aging
may alter the flavor compounds, texture, or color of the beverage, one cannot predict improvement
nor deterioration. Centuries have passed since Edgar Allan Poe described the death of a gullible
fool, yet the taste of a murderer s Amontillado wine remains bittersweet. Although the work is
fictional, The Cask of Amontilladoprovides a nefarious and dismal libretto, depicted as a tale of
pride, revenge, and a murder in cold blood. Through the use of symbolism, theological allusion, and
foreshadowing, Edgar Allan Poes The Cask of Amontillado suggests taking pride in seeking
revenge on enemies is addictive and intoxicating.

Here, Poe incorporates Montresor s usage of trickery as a biblical allusion, where Montresor
symbolizes the serpent, cunning and eloquent. He tempts Fortunato an allusion to Eve in the
Garden of Eden with a forbidden fruit: The cask of Amontillado (King James Version, Gen. 3.15).
The forbidden fruit in the Bible represents an equilibrium between good and evil; furthermore, the
Amontillado wine shows a conflict between Montresor and Fortunato, mirroring a good versus evil
scenario. The temptation of tasting the Amontillado presented a status symbol Fortunato craved:
Tasting a rare wine and proving his connoisseur skills were stronger than Luchesi, a competitor
mentioned briefly by Montresor (Poe). The temptation of seeking a newfound status proved similar
in the case of Eve, who assumed that once she ate the fruit she would have an independence from
God that she did not previously have (Stewart). Similar to Eve, Fortunato portrayed uncertainty;
despite adequate premonitions, both did not have [the] best interest in mind and succumbed to
temptation (Poe, Stewart).
As Montresor and Fortunato venture the abyss of the catacombs, an eerie theme and scene linger.
Montresor defines the catacombs as a long and winding staircase accompanied with damp grounds

There Will Come Soft Rains And Meeting At Night
Poems are usually based on life experiences have a common thread connecting them together. The
poems There Will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale and Meeting at Night by Robert Browning
both share connections. These poems are both about nature; however, they are also connected
through personification, tone, alliteration. Alliteration is one of the most significant ways they are
connected. Alliteration can be described as the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning
of words. The speaker of the poem There Will Come Soft Rains begins by saying, There will
come soft rains and the smell of the ground / And swallows circling with their shimmering
sound, (Teasdale 1 2). As well as when the speaker of Meeting At Night starts off the poem by
explaining, The gray sea and the long black land / And the yellow half moon large and low,
(Browning 1 2). The two poems both share the evident use of alliteration. The speaker of There
Will Come Soft Rains uses the consonant sound of the letter s to start many of the words in the
first two lines. Likewise, in Meeting... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In There Will Come Soft Rains the speaker states And swallows circling with / Their shimmering
sound, (Teasdale 3 4). In the same way in Meeting at Night the speaker states, Then a mile of

and nice. The speaker of There Will Come Soft Rains explains the sound of the swallows as
shimmering which usually has a good connotative meaning which makes the reader think of bright,
happy, pretty things. As well as in Meeting at Night the speaker describes the beach as warm
scented which the reader will think of good, warm comforting things. Because both of these poems
use words to describe nature as nice and beautiful, the tone of these poems is similar. The tone of
these poems connects them as well as alliteration and personification

Hispaniola And La Espanola, By Christopher Columbus Essay
Hispaniola or la Espanola, named by Christopher Columbus after his landing in 1492, is one of
the largest island lying in the Caribbean Sea. The island is divided politically into the Dominican
Republic and Haiti. One island, barely a barrier and yet, two completely different cultures and two
completely different nations. The island was divided as a result of colonization. While the French
colonized the west part of the island, what is today known as Haiti, and the Spanish colonized the
east part of the island and what is today known as the Dominican Republic. As a result of those two
different colonizations by two completely different nations with different cultures, Haiti and the
Dominican Republic became two nations. However, for two nations on the same island with
similar ancestry and a similar history, the Dominican Republic and Haiti are in a position where
they could help each other if they were ever a time help was needed. That is not the case. After
colonization and they fought for their freedoms, the history between the two nations turned bitter.
Therefore, the political relationship between Haiti and the Dominican Republic is a tense affair
between two embittered nations occupying one island. As it is, the Dominican Republic became
independent in 1844, forty years after Haiti. Unlike Haiti, the Dominican Republic was colonized
by the Spaniards. Given the fact that Haiti gained its independence before the Dominican Republic,
most of the nation wanted to stay as

Personal Narrative-The Persecution Of Poor Young Men
Imagine a high school stage, occupied with a congregation of young, casually dressed men. I m
sitting at a desk facing the stage from the audience, reading applications and taking notes on the
poor young men in front of me. What gave them the idea that they have a chance?, I think to
myself. The majority is disappointing either too short, too ugly, or too boring. The small things
are what give it away; the way one tucks his shirt, or the shoes another chose that morning. It s
harder to tell with the better looking ones: the slight curl of a lip, or a glint in one pair of
otherwise beautiful brown eyes. I m disappointed, but I also don t know what I expected. The
best part is when those with the confidence to do so step forward for a closer, more personal
inspection. It s impossible to determine someone s temperament or personality from just a few
words but I do my best with trivial questions.

The Great Man Theory Of Leadership Essay
Leadership Theories To comprehend the part of a leader, we should first comprehend being a
leader. Through research, I ve discovered that there are a wide range of hypotheses in regards to
leadership. For this specific task, I ve investigated The Great Man Theory of Leadership, The Trait
Theory of Leadershipand The Role Theory of Leadership.
The Great Man Theory of Leadership The Great Man Theory of Leadership came in the mid
nineteenth century. Advanced by Thomas Carlyle, The Great Man Theory of Leadership
fundamentally underpins the possibility that awesome leaders are conceived not made. As
indicated by the site www.leadership central.com, this specific hypothesis sees extraordinary
pioneers as the individuals who are foreordained by birth to wind up a leader. The conviction was
that extraordinary leaders will rise when gone up against with the proper circumstance. Carlyle, an
essayist and instructor, promoted this hypothesis in his book On Heroes, Hero Worship, and the
Heroic in History . Carlyle faced resistance from the English thinker Herbert Spencer. Spencer
trusted that heroes are basically the result of their times and their gallant activities, the aftereffect of
social conditions.
The Trait Theory of Leadership The Trait Theory of Leadership came to fruition in the 1930s
1940s. This hypothesis trusts that a man is either conceived or shows certain qualities that will
permit them to exceed expectations in a leadership position. Once more, as per

Structural Systems And Earthquakes Disasters
Structural Systems and Earthquakes Catastrophes have been feared since the beginning of time.
They occur in all shapes and sizes, and they have a variety of effects. One of the most shocking,
as well as most devastating of these occurrences, is earthquakes. The earliest recorded earthquake
happened in 1769 in California (United States Geological Survey, 2014). Since that day, hundreds
of thousands of earthquakes occur each year. Earthquakes are an incredible act that is carried out
randomly by a force of nature. One of the scariest parts of this phenomenon is that it can happen at
any moment in time, and its effects are typically unpredictable. Though earthquakes may be

Additionally, the movement of tectonics is monitored, and the movement can be predicted to some
degree. Even though we are able to predict some movement, the timing or an earthquake s force is
unable to be predicted at this time. Earthquakes occur when tectonic plates move and grind against
each other, thus releasing a massive amount of energy through seismic activity. When this happens,
those seismic waves hit the Earth s surface causing the ground to shake in a violent manner. When
the waves actually hit the earth, devices called seismometers, which are strategically placed
across the world, detect the magnitude of the earthquakes force. All of these elements play an
important role in our current understanding of earthquakes. Earthquake Forces When the tectonic
plates slip and the energy is released at the earth s surface, endless effects occur as a result.
While this is taking place, two types of waves associated with this action result: body waves and
surface waves. Both of these categories are divided into sub categories, but they essentially serve
the same purpose. Body waves are the first set of waves to hit the earth s surface, and they
resemble water waves by the way they move. They slowly move the material, horizontally
displacing the soil. Surface waves may move the material horizontally, but they also have the
potential to move the ground vertically. Both of these effects present an opportunity for disaster to

The journalist appears to be attempting to create the image that Cuba has the upper hand and is in
control of the situation. A similar depiction of this Cuban dominance is shown by the description
of Governor Blanco having signed an agreement with Alimport, as opposed to Alimport and
Governor Blanco signing the agreement together. Again, this minor difference in phrasing
simultaneously suggests both a vested interest and compliance on the side of the United States.
Of course, this image of the US is one that would hardly come across in US domestic papers. Just
as a depiction of a strong Cuba boosts Cuban nationalism, so too does the representation of the
United States as an omnipotent force. Essentially, especially in conservative domestic sources, it
does not pay to weaken one s own nation being a paper tiger is better than being no tiger at all.

Ed Gein Spenser Wiles Born: August 27, 1906 Death: July 26, 1984 Edward Theodore Gein was
born in La Crosse County, Wisconsin in 1906. The second son of George Philip and Augusta
Wilhelmine Gein. Augusta despised her husband, an alcoholic who was unable to keep a job.
He worked various times as a carpenter and an insurance salesman. Augusta owned a local
grocery shop and later sold it in 1914 for a farm to live in isolation near Plainfield, Wisconsin,
which was there permanent home. Augusta took advantage of the isolation by turning away
outsiders from getting close to her sons. Edward only left the farm to attend school. Outside of
school, he spent most of his time doing chores on the farm. Edward was shy, and classmates and
teachers remembered him as having strange mannerisms, such as random laughter. He tried to
make friends but his mother would punish him whenever he tried. Lacking Social development,
he did fairly well in school, particularly reading class. Later in 1940 his father died from a heart
failure caused by his alcoholism on April 1, at age 66. Ed and his brother Henry began doing
odd around town to help pay living expenses. The brothers were reliable and honest by the
community. Henry later began dating a divorced, single mother of two and he planned on moving
in with them. Henry spoke very little about her around Edward who responded with shock and
hurt. On May 16, 1944, Henry and Ed were burning away marsh vegetation on the property, the fire

The Purpose and Practice of Monastic Vocation Essay
The Purpose and Practice of Monastic Vocation
The monastic vocation can be called a mystery and in two senses of the word.
Primarily divine mystery is a reality proceeding from God, at once hidden and revealed, expressing
in its essence something of the grace, wisdom, peace and fruitfulness of God.
Monastic consecration a mystery akin to the sacramental mysteries of the Church, in which an inner
change is affected through an outward ritual or symbol and from here becomes a wellspring of
Divine energy.

В· Great care must be taken of those who are sick.
For their first reason, silence is very important for Benedictines for the reason that they could
concentrate more and more on hearing God s voice. If they fill their mind with noises they would
not be able to focus their mind on praying and hearing the wisdom of their Abbot, and their brethren
as they guide them in their search of God.
Secondly, talking too much will not be able to avoid having a sin, as our tongue is the effective
weapon of all, which will hurt other people.
However, the control of talking would make a change to peoples lives to good, as this will give
advice to people, support them, encourage them, teach them, console them.
Humility is also important. This will make them understand the truth of being a Christian. Pride is
the opposite of humility, because of our pride lying is sometimes the answer, it can also ruin the
Christian s belief.
When a person wants to join a monastic life they have to make a vow, which are obedience,
stability and Conversatio Morum. Once the vow is made they are making a promise to God that
they would serve Him, until he die. This is how they show how much they love God, just as God s
love us constantly.
Obedience Obeying God is the first thing that they have to vow, the fact that in his rule he describe

Not paying the dividends is the number one thing Hampton must remove from their current cash
budget plan.
They can start to repay some of the principle as soon as possible to reduce the interest payments.
This will help reduce the amount of interest paid in total (Exhibit 2). While this solution does not
eliminate the problem of still being unable to repay the full loan, they are able to lessen their
cash shortage. The assumptions I used for this budget was that approximately $500,000 on hand
is all they will need from month to month. I also assumed the $500,000 on hand is not earning
interest which would also help generate cash which would help in repayment. The ending cash
on hand for October is $710,000 to help cover for November which has a larger amount of cash
outflows then cash inflows. This on it s own would bring their cash shortage to $319,500 a savings
of $12,000. Still this along with the removal of the $150,000 in dividends will still not eliminate
their cash shortage. With the two combined, they still will have a shortage of $169,500. (Exhibit 3)
They can extend the repayment to the future when it will be possible for them to be repaid. I
have worked a cash budget out into January of 1980 when they will be able to collect the cash
from the large number of orders they expect to finish in December. I made the assumption that the
proceeds from a sale would not be collected until next month since their sales terms are net 30 and

Today s Unrealistic Body Expectations
Modern society portrays good looking men to have broad shoulders, toned arms, six pack abs,
and a small waist while good looking women are viewed to have the characteristics of being slim
and fit, having a small waist, lean hips, and perfect skin complexion. As a result, many people
are affected by our own society s portrayals of good looking men and women that they feel
pressured into doing whatever it takes and going through extreme measures, most of the time,
spending countless hours in the gym trying to achieve that perfect body. Body image is evident
in the gym, as the men are lifting weights they are frequently looking in the mirror examining

frequently making trips to the scale to keep track of their weight making sure to stay slim and fit.
Society has a profound effect on many people, making them feel insecure about their own bodies.

Analysis Of Sherman Alexie s On The Amtrak
In the poem On the Amtrak from Boston to New York City by Sherman Alexie, the speaker is
portrayed as a Native American Indian who wishes to retake and make known his ownership of
Indian land, which the white people stole. However, his sympathy towards his rivals seems to
keep him from accomplishing these goals. First, we can plainly see his Native American
heritage in the language of the poem. For example, he refers to the elderly woman whom he
converses with as white (line 1), which implies he is not; there would be no real reason of
mentioning skin color unless it was significant to him. The negative outlook the speaker has on
the white woman s definition of history is apparent in his rejection of her historical claim. The
woman says, Look, / look at all the history, that house on the hill there is over two hundred years
old, (lines 1 3). He frowns upon her words, explaining, I have learned / a little more about

he is of tribal descent. Further, he announces, I know the Indians were living stories / around that

and removes pressure on it. A hard release is when the devil is released without spending any time
in its environment. This will also help to understand effective ways to release the Devil. Programs
like this are the groundwork for conservation and is paving the way to an increase in the population
(Tasmanian Government). For a positive future for the Devil it imperative that research programs

KFC chicken scandal: Braamfontein owner under fire
The hosing down of discarded KFC chicken in Braamfontein relates to a new policy implemented
by the owner, Solomon Malebane, who also runs 22 other outlets.
*This article had been updated with comment from the National Consumer Commission.
The owner of the Braamfontein KFC restaurant has been instructed to stop the policy that he
introduced just weeks ago relating to discarded chicken, after staff was caught on camera washing
chicken on a concrete floor.
Focus on wastage
KFC Africa Managing Director Doug Smart told Health24 although KFC has a standard process for
discarding chicken, the owner introduced further measures.

Smart noted that KFC also has strict processes in place when it comes to food disposal. The raw
and cooked chickens are always kept separate and are sealed in designated bags that are clearly
labelled. These bags are placed in distinct containers and stored for collection.

KFC took swift action after consumers went into a state of panic, over the weekend after images
and a video emerged of staff hosing down chicken, thinking that they could have been served the
chicken.
We want our customers to know that we take this very seriously and have taken action to make sure
this does not happen again, said Smart.
The Braamfontein restaurant was temporarily closed to get to the bottom of the incident. KFC also
took to social media and ran a full page print advertisement to apologise to

Bilingual Ed Essays
Bilingual Ed BILINGUAL EDUCATION IS BENEFICIAL TO STUDENTS ABILITIES TO
ASSIMILATE IN THE MAINSTREAM CULTURE
English only sink or swim? Yeah right! Instead of English Only Advocates worrying about
bilingual education cost in our school system, why not take advantage of the skills our ethnic
minorities possess to move our economy forward? They are obviously not thinking clearly, because
the benefit of bilinguals, significantly outweigh the bad. To deny our youth the opportunity for
upward mobility and skill to become more marketable in a worldwide capacity is inhumane. They
believe bilinguals threaten to sap our sense of national identity and divide us along ethnic lines.
They also fear that any government recognition of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They should encourage and support students to the attainment of bilingual or multilingual skills.
They should also consider that students coming from homes where two or more languages are used
will face difficulty in applying while in the school environment. The fact that so few Americans
command any other language than English is largely a result of educational failure and cultural
inadequacies. The American economy will benefit from bilingual education because historically
multilingual personnel are smarter, academic skills are sharper, and their contributions to society
are immeasurable. English is the one language that offers the biggest market, the largest pool of
talent, and the greatest probability of being able to communicate with anyone on the planet.
Bilingual education is a tool for better education that children whose primary language is not
English learn more easily. Industry and Information Technology dance to English lyrics. Students
will have no future in the Information Technology field if they cannot command English as an
effective medium of communication. Г¬Furthermore, good bilingual programs are about more than
learning a language. They should be based on a respect for diversity and multiculturalism, and
parents and community must be essential partners.Г® (Rethinking schools Vol 1. 13, #2.). Over

The Role Of The Air Defense Artillery In The Korean War
The Korean peninsula has had a long history of turmoil, miring the country in wars and disputes.
Due to growing tensions in the region around the mid 1900s, it would soon become necessary
for America to step in to assist in resolving the conflict. The Air Defense Artillery (ADA), or the
Anti Aircraft Artillery (AAA) during the Korean War, played a major role in supporting the war
effort during the Korean War. The AAA played an important role leading up to the war, during
the war, and the lessons learned from the war assisted in building the branch for the future. Field
Artillery also known as The King of Battle dates back as far as the birth of the United States
Army itself. At the Battle of Bunker Hill on June 1775, six artillery cannons stood and fought
with much admiration. Due to poor leadership, five of the six cannons were lost and could not
partake in battle. Henry Knox, a former bookseller, took over the artillery and created one of the
most impressive and cohesive field artillery units that the United States Army has seen today.
The artillery guns consisted of a large bronze or iron cannon, and a wooden frame connected
with bolts wheeled on a carriage. In 1901, Field Artillery divided into 126 companies of Coastal
Artillery, also known as the Seacoast Artillery and light field artillery. Air Defense took its first
leap by using cannons from forts to shoot at invading ships. The men needed to be highly skilled
and trained rigorously in order to hit a

Persuasive Essay On Distracted Driving
The state of Colorado is NOT doing enough to prevent distracted driving, especially among tech
savvy millennials who ignore safety precautions set by the government in order to reduce the
amount of accidents each year from careless drivers. Despite road signs and an increased cost on
distracted driving tickets it is still technically legal to text and drive in the state of Colorado. In July
of 2017, the government decided that using handheld devices while drivingis considered safe unless
the driver is being careless or reckless. What government officials refuse to acknowledge is that it
takes a fraction of a second to permanently ruin your life or someone else s. Studies have shown
that distracted driving delays the body s ability to reach to urgent situations by an average of 6
seconds. Comparatively, the timing of these reactions are very similar to those results of people
who consume alcohol/drugs prior to getting in the car and driving. As for the consequences, a
ticket is $300 but the guilt lasts a lifetime and those who drive recklessly and take the life of
another person never get over their foolish decision to prioritize a phone over their own safety. It
s important to educate the youth and future generations of the dangers distracted driving can lead
to as well as explain the effects if they are not careful. By definition, the state of Colorado defines
distracted driving as, 1. Cognitive: mentally distracted, a driver s mind is not focused on driving 2.

The Civil War Essay
The Civil War In this meeting of the Southern Historical Association great emphasis has been
placed upon a re examination of numerous phases of our history relating to the Civil War. While
several papers have dealt with certain forces which helped bring about the Civil War, none has
attempted a general synthesis of causes. This synthesis has been the task assumed by the retiring
president of the Association.
Before attempting to say what were the causes of the American Civil War, first let me say what
were not the causes of this war. Perhaps the most beautiful, the most poetic, the most eloquent
statement of what the Civil War was not fought for is Lincoln s Gettysburg Address. That address
will live as long as Americans retain their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A systematic study of both northern and southern opinion as expressed in their newspapers,
speeches, diaries, and private letters, gives irrefutable evidence in support of this assertion. Their
ideology was democratic and identical. However, theoretical adherence to the democratic
principles, as veil we know all too well in these days of plutocratic influences in our political life, is
not sufficient evidence that democratic government exists. I believe that I shall not be challenged
in the assertion that the economic structure of a section or a nation is the foundation upon which its
political structure must rest. For this reason, therefore, it will be necessary to know what the
economic foundations of these sections were. Was the economic structure of the North such as to
support a political democracy in fact as well as in form? And was the economic structure of the
South such as to permit the existence of free government? Time does not permit an extended
treatment of this subject; it will be possible only to point out certain conclusions based upon recent
research. By utilizing the county tax books and the unpublished census reports a group of us
conducting a cooperative undertaking have been able to obtain a reasonably accurate and specific
picture of wealth structure of the antebellum South, and to some extent that of the other sections.

Ezekiel Rebellions
Ezekiel is the last book of the major prophets. He prophesized sometime around 586 BC/E before
he was taken into exile in 597 BC/E in the second exile of Nebuchadnezzar (ETOT pg. 408).
Most of the evidence found throughout the bible leads us to believe that Ezekiel is the author of
this book. The book begins with Ezekiel accusing the Israelites of rebellions. Ezekiel is called to
warn the Israelites because God is planning a new attack that is just as bad as the first exile.
Ezekiel would perform sign act in the streets and stage the Jerusalem siege. He performed these
signs, among many others, but the worst part was that no one was going to listen to him. Israel
was going to reject him because of their rebellious and hard hearts. After about a year,... Show more

Israel s idolatry got so terrible that is it drove God to leave the temple. God hasn t abandon them
however, instead he goes into exile with them. He promises that a remnant will return with new,
transformed hearts. The next section focus on Gods judgment. He acts like a lawyer and talks
about how Israel s judgment was deserved and how the Israelites have reached a point of no
return. God then goes on to judge the kings of Egypt and Tyre for viewing themselves as Gods.
He holds these kinds accountable for their pride and announces that he will use Babylon to bring
them down too. Soon after Ezekiel is visited by a refugee who tells him that the Babylonians have
come and Jerusalem has fallen. Ezekiel s warnings have become a reality. The rest of the book is
designed to explore Ezekiel s vison of hope for Israel, the nations, and then all of creation. The hope
for Israel begins with God promising to raise up a new David. He will be the kind of leader that
Israel always needed but never had and the new Israel is going to be filled with transformed
people. The only hope for the people is if God remake humans in such a way where they can truly

Comparing Willy Loman And Walter Lee
Being a man can mean many things, depending on who you speak to or what your own standard
is. The traits of a man can fall into being tough or just being a humble kind individual. When we
look at the instances of Willy Loman and Walter Lee, we see men who both have a sense of what
being a man is like. But are too caught up in their dreams in life to be steady enough to handle the
responsibilities needed in both circumstances.
Walter Lee is what I see as a character who believes in his vision, when no one else could. He was
raised by a strict, hard working Christian mother, who has a very honest outlook on life. She once
said, Once upon a time freedom used to be life now it s money. I guess the world really do change.

Biff said when realizing the type of house he grew up in. Everyone in the Loman household was
unsatisfied, the family left unstable. The top of the causes for the problems in the Loman
household lead to Willy. Growing up Willy never had a true support system. His father left him
at a early age. And his brother went to Africa. With all this abandonment in life, Willy learns to
live on the dependency of being well approved of by others, and following a dream he saw as the
American Dream . This dream led Willy into more failure than it did success. Willy never knew
when to look at reality or chase a dream. When it came to a point in life when he realized he
could no longer achieve this American Dream, he tried to live it through his sons. He never held
his kids accountable for their faults because they were well liked Willy sees how much people
like you as an equivalence to a human s success in life. Linda once said, I don t say he s a great
man. Willy Loman never made a lot of money. His name was never in the paper. He s not the
finest character that ever lived. But he s a human being, and a terrible thing is happening to him.
So attention must be paid. He s not to be allowed to fall into his grave like an old dog. Attention,
attention must be finally paid to such a person. Willy filled all his actual doings in life, with
dreams and visions of a successful him or of anything to make the pain of his actual life

  • 2. UTRGV Case Study The current business process of UTRGV, specifically, of course delivery is to deliver classes via two main means. They are the traditional method of face to face and virtually through Blackboard. However, this current process is in need of great improvement after the UTPA and UTB merger. That is, due to the vast distance separating both campuses, students are in need of a third course delivery option. Students need an option that enables them to take all their classes from one single location. As of right now, students must decide to take their classes face to face at the Edinburg and/or Brownsville. However, the problem is that some classes are exclusively offered at one and not both campuses. Currently, the way around this problem is to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is where information technology can be used to improve such process. Currently, students must choose from two primary methods. They are face to face and online respectively. Yet, with the use of information technology, UTRGV is able to implement and offer students a third option. This option will be better suited to meet the needs of two across both the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses. It is through the usage of the online meeting and videoconferencing application WebEx that a third course delivery method is able to be offered. Through WebEx, professors are able to live streamed (and record) their lectures across both campuses. Specifically, professors are able to share their screens and hold an interactive lecture where all the students (even those 70 miles away) are able to contribute and ask questions. Without question, this is of great advantage to students especially when only one course section is being offered. It will eliminate unnecessary travel time and costs which could be put to better productive use elsewhere. The scholarly readings and research on the topic of dual citizenship were beneficial in learning the legal obligations of the system but the interview revealed a true and realistic view of the process and its life changing consequences. Answers to the interview questions were paraphrased and recorded as a story in the following pages. (What is your citizenship of birth and what were the steps to acquire your citizenship?) Alessandra was born in Italy by Italian parents, and therefore had only an Italian citizenship at birth. After marrying an Italian man and having a daughter, Alessandra... It was important to double check to make sure that she was respecting both directives for everything she did with her children when they were minors, especially if they travelled. Entertainment has been offered freely to the citizens as substitutions for education since the ancient Roman times. A procedure done systematically in order to keep the power. The revealing of the facts has been concealed, not disclosed in their entirety. A deliberate substitution that has been proven successful. • 5. Just A Dream By Chris Van Allsburg The children s book, Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg explains the importance of having a clean environment and what the consequences will be if you do not take care of it. The story opens with Walter eating a jelly doughnut and throwing the empty bag it came in at the fire hydrant. This displayed how Walter did not take littering seriously, but at the end realized how important it truly is to keep the environment pollutionfree. Allsburg takes us on a journey through Walter s dreams explaining what you should and should not do to the environment through words and the detailed illustrations. Walter is the main protagonist in Allsburg book because the story is based off of all of the dreams he is having and is on each page of the book. When you flip through the book, you notice in the opening scene that first Walter has his back faced towards the reader and when you keep going through Walter is always there. One thing we can notice when we look at the book is how unappreciative he is of nature. When Rose says she got a tree for her birthday he did not seem so pleased about it instead, he called it a dumb plant. Also, he was supposed to sort through the trash and recycle, but instead he just puts everything in one trash can which shows how he does not care about recycling. Walter realizes at the end that nature is important and we should cherish it. When he returns back from all his dreams he gets up and goes outside to the trash that he did not sort through and puts the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Symptoms And Treatment Of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases In the current world population there is a large increase in people diagnosed with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs), lactose intolerance and/or a combination of the two. Theories suggest that the delayed onset of lactose intolerance, in patients who already have IBD s, may arise as secondary lactose intolerance but only as a byproduct of the IBD. This begs the question of if the prevalence of an IBD predisposes that same person to lactose intolerance and if so, what are the drivers that allow this to happen? Inflammatory bowel diseases are categorized into two subset categories, ulcerative colitis(UC) and Crohn s disease. IBD s are defined as a chronic inflammation of all or part of a digestive tract. The inflammation takes place... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Those who are lactose intolerant also have diminishes levels of lactase, the small intestinal enzyme responsible for the catalysis of lactose. Dietary supplementation of the lactase enzyme has, in some cases, proven to rectify the symptoms of lactose intolerance. During infancy the vast majority of humans have the ability to digest and catabolize lactose into glucose and galactose via the lactase enzyme. This catabolic capability is vital for newborn mammals, given that their primary source of nutrition comes from their mother s milk. During the weaning period, when children cease to use milk as a primary source of nutrition, the production of the lactase enzyme severely deteriorates and eventually leads to the inability to catabolize lactose. While this may be the natural progression of the expression of the lactase enzyme, there remains a large, predominantly western population that maintains a steady production of lactase, those individuals are known as lactase persistent (Baumgart, et al.). Lactase Persistence Causes: Lactase persistence has been strongly suggested to be a function of genetic causes and its inheritance occurs in an autosomal recessive manner. Individuals that exhibit the highest lactase activity are genotypically homozygous recessive for lactase persistence; where as individuals who show lower lactase activities are heterozygous or homozygous ... • 7. Thoreau And Keats A brilliant American poet, Henry David Thoreau, once claimed, This world is but a canvas to our imagination . This idea that everything can be interpreted differently using creativity is evident in many of John Keats poems. However, how does Ode on a Grecian Urn reveal the beauty of art? Keats uses different images of melodies, love, and happiness to show that the idea of true beauty of art is within the eye of the beholder. The first image that shows how beauty is in the eye of the beholder is when Keats illustrates a melody without sound. Keats says, Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard/ are sweeter (Lines 11 12). Keats is saying that heard melodies are beautiful and great, but a melody that is imagined is much more powerful. This helps to show how Keats is trying to say beauty is within the interpretation of the art because the listener can imagine whatever he or she wants to hear. Keats goes on to say, Pipe to the spirit ditties of no tone , ordering the reader to play music with no tone or sound (14). This is because he believes that the true beauty of art is in the creativity of the beholder and that art can be interpreted in many ways. To play a song with no tone or sound,... This vagueness allows the reader to relate and picture an ideal relationship where the girl s beauty never fades. Although the process of aging may alter the flavor compounds, texture, or color of the beverage, one cannot predict improvement nor deterioration. Centuries have passed since Edgar Allan Poe described the death of a gullible fool, yet the taste of a murderer s Amontillado wine remains bittersweet. Although the work is fictional, The Cask of Amontilladoprovides a nefarious and dismal libretto, depicted as a tale of pride, revenge, and a murder in cold blood. He tempts Fortunato an allusion to Eve in the Garden of Eden with a forbidden fruit: The cask of Amontillado (King James Version, Gen. 3.15). The forbidden fruit in the Bible represents an equilibrium between good and evil; furthermore, the Amontillado wine shows a conflict between Montresor and Fortunato, mirroring a good versus evil scenario. The temptation of tasting the Amontillado presented a status symbol Fortunato craved: Tasting a rare wine and proving his connoisseur skills were stronger than Luchesi, a competitor mentioned briefly by Montresor (Poe). The temptation of seeking a newfound status proved similar in the case of Eve, who assumed that once she ate the fruit she would have an independence from God that she did not previously have (Stewart). Similar to Eve, Fortunato portrayed uncertainty; despite adequate premonitions, both did not have [the] best interest in mind and succumbed to temptation (Poe, Stewart). The poems There Will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale and Meeting at Night by Robert Browning both share connections. These poems are both about nature; however, they are also connected through personification, tone, alliteration. Alliteration is one of the most significant ways they are connected. Alliteration can be described as the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words. The speaker of the poem There Will Come Soft Rains begins by saying, There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground / And swallows circling with their shimmering sound, (Teasdale 1 2). As well as when the speaker of Meeting At Night starts off the poem by explaining, The gray sea and the long black land / And the yellow half moon large and low, (Browning 1 2). The island is divided politically into the Dominican Republic and Haiti. One island, barely a barrier and yet, two completely different cultures and two completely different nations. The island was divided as a result of colonization. While the French colonized the west part of the island, what is today known as Haiti, and the Spanish colonized the east part of the island and what is today known as the Dominican Republic. As a result of those two different colonizations by two completely different nations with different cultures, Haiti and the Dominican Republic became two nations. However, for two nations on the same island with similar ancestry and a similar history, the Dominican Republic and Haiti are in a position where they could help each other if they were ever a time help was needed. That is not the case. After colonization and they fought for their freedoms, the history between the two nations turned bitter. Therefore, the political relationship between Haiti and the Dominican Republic is a tense affair between two embittered nations occupying one island. As it is, the Dominican Republic became independent in 1844, forty years after Haiti. Unlike Haiti, the Dominican Republic was colonized by the Spaniards. Through research, I ve discovered that there are a wide range of hypotheses in regards to leadership. For this specific task, I ve investigated The Great Man Theory of Leadership, The Trait Theory of Leadershipand The Role Theory of Leadership. The Great Man Theory of Leadership The Great Man Theory of Leadership came in the mid nineteenth century. Advanced by Thomas Carlyle, The Great Man Theory of Leadership fundamentally underpins the possibility that awesome leaders are conceived not made. As indicated by the site www.leadership central.com, this specific hypothesis sees extraordinary pioneers as the individuals who are foreordained by birth to wind up a leader. The conviction was that extraordinary leaders will rise when gone up against with the proper circumstance. Carlyle, an essayist and instructor, promoted this hypothesis in his book On Heroes, Hero Worship, and the Heroic in History . Carlyle faced resistance from the English thinker Herbert Spencer. Spencer trusted that heroes are basically the result of their times and their gallant activities, the aftereffect of social conditions. The Trait Theory of Leadership The Trait Theory of Leadership came to fruition in the 1930s 1940s. This hypothesis trusts that a man is either conceived or shows certain qualities that will permit them to exceed expectations in a leadership position. Once more, as per ... Additionally, the movement of tectonics is monitored, and the movement can be predicted to some degree. Even though we are able to predict some movement, the timing or an earthquake s force is unable to be predicted at this time. Earthquakes occur when tectonic plates move and grind against each other, thus releasing a massive amount of energy through seismic activity. When this happens, those seismic waves hit the Earth s surface causing the ground to shake in a violent manner. When the waves actually hit the earth, devices called seismometers, which are strategically placed across the world, detect the magnitude of the earthquakes force. All of these elements play an important role in our current understanding of earthquakes. Earthquake Forces When the tectonic plates slip and the energy is released at the earth s surface, endless effects occur as a result. While this is taking place, two types of waves associated with this action result: body waves and surface waves. Both of these categories are divided into sub categories, but they essentially serve the same purpose. Body waves are the first set of waves to hit the earth s surface, and they resemble water waves by the way they move. They slowly move the material, horizontally displacing the soil. La Nueva Cuba approaches the event from a different angle by providing more specifics about how this particular transaction will take place. The journalist appears to be attempting to create the image that Cuba has the upper hand and is in control of the situation. A similar depiction of this Cuban dominance is shown by the description of Governor Blanco having signed an agreement with Alimport, as opposed to Alimport and Governor Blanco signing the agreement together. Again, this minor difference in phrasing simultaneously suggests both a vested interest and compliance on the side of the United States. Of course, this image of the US is one that would hardly come across in US domestic papers. Just as a depiction of a strong Cuba boosts Cuban nationalism, so too does the representation of the United States as an omnipotent force. Essentially, especially in conservative domestic sources, it does not pay to weaken one s own nation being a paper tiger is better than being no tiger at all. At first glance, Cuba planea esquivar reglas de importaciГіn con Estados Unidos, already shows a marked difference between the articles in Granma and La Nueva Cuba. Instead of the United States proposing the deal between Louisiana and Cuba, the depiction is that Cuba openly accepts and appreciates the new plan. The two articles from Cuban sources share the same statistics that Louisiana will be providing 10,000 tons of rice and 160 tons of powdered milk , neither ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The assumptions I used for this budget was that approximately $500,000 on hand is all they will need from month to month. Soft release programs are believed to be more beneficial for the animal. A soft release program leaves the animal in its release pen for a time before it is released, this allows it to leave when it likes and removes pressure on it. A hard release is when the devil is released without spending any time in its environment. This will also help to understand effective ways to release the Devil. Programs like this are the groundwork for conservation and is paving the way to an increase in the population (Tasmanian Government). For a positive future for the Devil it imperative that research programs similar to this are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They are obviously not thinking clearly, because the benefit of bilinguals, significantly outweigh the bad. They should encourage and support students to the attainment of bilingual or multilingual skills. They should also consider that students coming from homes where two or more languages are used will face difficulty in applying while in the school environment. The fact that so few Americans command any other language than English is largely a result of educational failure and cultural inadequacies. The American economy will benefit from bilingual education because historically multilingual personnel are smarter, academic skills are sharper, and their contributions to society are immeasurable. • 46. The Role Of The Air Defense Artillery In The Korean War The Korean peninsula has had a long history of turmoil, miring the country in wars and disputes. Due to growing tensions in the region around the mid 1900s, it would soon become necessary for America to step in to assist in resolving the conflict. The Air Defense Artillery (ADA), or the Anti Aircraft Artillery (AAA) during the Korean War, played a major role in supporting the war effort during the Korean War. The AAA played an important role leading up to the war, during the war, and the lessons learned from the war assisted in building the branch for the future. Field Artillery also known as The King of Battle dates back as far as the birth of the United States Army itself. At the Battle of Bunker Hill on June 1775, six artillery cannons stood and fought with much admiration. Due to poor leadership, five of the six cannons were lost and could not partake in battle. Henry Knox, a former bookseller, took over the artillery and created one of the most impressive and cohesive field artillery units that the United States Army has seen today. The artillery guns consisted of a large bronze or iron cannon, and a wooden frame connected with bolts wheeled on a carriage. In 1901, Field Artillery divided into 126 companies of Coastal Artillery, also known as the Seacoast Artillery and light field artillery. Air Defense took its first leap by using cannons from forts to shoot at invading ships. The men needed to be highly skilled and trained rigorously in order to hit a ... • 47. Persuasive Essay On Distracted Driving The state of Colorado is NOT doing enough to prevent distracted driving, especially among tech savvy millennials who ignore safety precautions set by the government in order to reduce the amount of accidents each year from careless drivers. Despite road signs and an increased cost on distracted driving tickets it is still technically legal to text and drive in the state of Colorado. In July of 2017, the government decided that using handheld devices while drivingis considered safe unless the driver is being careless or reckless. What government officials refuse to acknowledge is that it takes a fraction of a second to permanently ruin your life or someone else s. Studies have shown that distracted driving delays the body s ability to reach to urgent situations by an average of 6 seconds. Comparatively, the timing of these reactions are very similar to those results of people who consume alcohol/drugs prior to getting in the car and driving. As for the consequences, a ticket is $300 but the guilt lasts a lifetime and those who drive recklessly and take the life of another person never get over their foolish decision to prioritize a phone over their own safety. It s important to educate the youth and future generations of the dangers distracted driving can lead to as well as explain the effects if they are not careful. By definition, the state of Colorado defines distracted driving as, 1. Cognitive: mentally distracted, a driver s mind is not focused on driving 2. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. The Civil War Essay The Civil War In this meeting of the Southern Historical Association great emphasis has been placed upon a re examination of numerous phases of our history relating to the Civil War. While several papers have dealt with certain forces which helped bring about the Civil War, none has attempted a general synthesis of causes. This synthesis has been the task assumed by the retiring president of the Association. Before attempting to say what were the causes of the American Civil War, first let me say what were not the causes of this war. Perhaps the most beautiful, the most poetic, the most eloquent statement of what the Civil War was not fought for is Lincoln s Gettysburg Address. That address will live as long as Americans retain their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A systematic study of both northern and southern opinion as expressed in their newspapers, speeches, diaries, and private letters, gives irrefutable evidence in support of this assertion. Their ideology was democratic and identical. However, theoretical adherence to the democratic principles, as veil we know all too well in these days of plutocratic influences in our political life, is not sufficient evidence that democratic government exists. I believe that I shall not be challenged in the assertion that the economic structure of a section or a nation is the foundation upon which its political structure must rest. For this reason, therefore, it will be necessary to know what the economic foundations of these sections were. Was the economic structure of the North such as to support a political democracy in fact as well as in form? And was the economic structure of the South such as to permit the existence of free government? Time does not permit an extended treatment of this subject; it will be possible only to point out certain conclusions based upon recent research. By utilizing the county tax books and the unpublished census reports a group of us conducting a cooperative undertaking have been able to obtain a reasonably accurate and specific picture of wealth structure of the antebellum South, and to some extent that of the other sections. • 49. Ezekiel Rebellions Ezekiel is the last book of the major prophets. He prophesized sometime around 586 BC/E before he was taken into exile in 597 BC/E in the second exile of Nebuchadnezzar (ETOT pg. 408). Most of the evidence found throughout the bible leads us to believe that Ezekiel is the author of this book. The book begins with Ezekiel accusing the Israelites of rebellions. Ezekiel is called to warn the Israelites because God is planning a new attack that is just as bad as the first exile. Ezekiel would perform sign act in the streets and stage the Jerusalem siege. He performed these signs, among many others, but the worst part was that no one was going to listen to him. Israel was going to reject him because of their rebellious and hard hearts. After about a year,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Israel s idolatry got so terrible that is it drove God to leave the temple. God hasn t abandon them however, instead he goes into exile with them. He promises that a remnant will return with new, transformed hearts. The next section focus on Gods judgment. He acts like a lawyer and talks about how Israel s judgment was deserved and how the Israelites have reached a point of no return. God then goes on to judge the kings of Egypt and Tyre for viewing themselves as Gods. He holds these kinds accountable for their pride and announces that he will use Babylon to bring them down too. Soon after Ezekiel is visited by a refugee who tells him that the Babylonians have come and Jerusalem has fallen. Ezekiel s warnings have become a reality. The rest of the book is designed to explore Ezekiel s vison of hope for Israel, the nations, and then all of creation. The hope for Israel begins with God promising to raise up a new David. He will be the kind of leader that Israel always needed but never had and the new Israel is going to be filled with transformed people. The only hope for the people is if God remake humans in such a way where they can truly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The traits of a man can fall into being tough or just being a humble kind individual. When we look at the instances of Willy Loman and Walter Lee, we see men who both have a sense of what being a man is like. But are too caught up in their dreams in life to be steady enough to handle the responsibilities needed in both circumstances. Walter Lee is what I see as a character who believes in his vision, when no one else could. He was raised by a strict, hard working Christian mother, who has a very honest outlook on life. She once said, Once upon a time freedom used to be life now it s money. I guess the world really do change. (Sun, 74). Walter is growing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With all this abandonment in life, Willy learns to live on the dependency of being well approved of by others, and following a dream he saw as the American Dream . This dream led Willy into more failure than it did success. Willy never knew when to look at reality or chase a dream. When it came to a point in life when he realized he could no longer achieve this American Dream, he tried to live it through his sons.
