This document provides guidance for students to explore characters in a novel by creating a character map. It instructs students to: 1. Choose a character to study and build a visual map including character traits, descriptions, actions, behavior, quotes, and what others say about the character. 2. Use the character map to plan a 2-minute presentation summarizing their findings about the character. It also discusses how names play an important role in the novel Wuthering Heights, providing clues about the plot, characters' roles and relationships, symbolic meanings, themes, and characteristics of places and people. Students are prompted to consider the meanings behind character names like Heathcliff and Lockwood.
