Why People Shouldn T Be Cut Themselves
Introduction/Argument: My argument is that people shouldn t be cutting themselves because
first of all it harms you a lot. Second of all you can cut a vain if u cut to deep. And third of all It
leaves really bad scars. I think that no one should cut themselves. If you do it i get it but cutting
does not help in not one way.Claim 1: My claim is that if you cutit will harm you a lot. My reason
is that a lot of my friends cut and it harms them a lot. They cry and complain a lot and that is why
you shouldn t cut.My evidence is that self harm is a way of helping with most of your problems
and i got my evidence from https://www.helpguide.org/articles/anxiety/cutting and self harm.htm

Differences Between Peter And Louis Xiv
expenditures (Spielvogel, P. 517). Since nobles were an important and powerful part of the society,
both Louis and Peter tried to integrate them in the main body of the government hence, preventing
oppositions and maintaining stability in their governments. Louis XIV widened his control over
higher and provincial nobility by creating the court of aristocrats and summoning the nobles to
take up residence in Versailles. This made it easier for him to keep them under his eyes
(Spielvogel, P. 509). Peter on the other hand, created Table of Ranks to force nobles to enter into
government service in the bureaucracy, army and navy (Lim, P. 99). Therefore, treating them as
commoners and devaluing the importance of their nobility. While talking about... Show more

At the beginning of the seventeenth century, Spain possessed the most populous empire in the
world, controlling almost all Africa. To most Europeans, Spain still seemed the greatest power of
the age, but the reality was quite different: the treasury was empty (Spielvogel P 512). A major
political development inspired by growing nationalism was the alliance of small states into two
central new nations: Italy and Germany. Before the second half of the 19th century, Italy was a
collection of city states that were only loosely allied with one another. The German Confederation
was created by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, but it had been controlled by the Austrian and
Prussian Empires. In 1848 major rebellions broke out within the confederation, inspired by liberals
who envisioned a German nation ruled by parliamentary government. The revolutions failed, and
many liberals fled the country, but they proved to be an excuse for the Prussian army to invade
other parts of the Confederation. The Prussian military leader was Otto von Bismarck, who
subjugated the rebels and declared the beginning of the German

Leopold In Cold Blood Analysis
Starting from the European colonization period, Congo has constantly been plagued with foreign
interference, namely by external countries and multinational corporations looking to gain wealth.
They have demolished the magnificent African cake systematically throughout the years, starting
primarily from Leopold s Congo Free state, which he ruled single handedly, to the modern day
Democratic Republic of Congo. Leopold began his regime by holding conferences regarding
Africa, and formed organizations that he claimed would aid Africa. Not only did Leopold abuse
the abundance of natural resources out of greed, he also destroyed the economy, political system,
and the people for generations to come. Leopold s framework of a Congo whose resources... Show

Leopold began by extracting ivory, and later began extracting the highly valued rubber. He then
began looking into the mines of the Congo, which held an abundance of highly valued minerals
to gain more wealth. To make the transportation of the extractive resources more efficient,
Leopold had a railway built, using additional forced labor on the part of the Congolese. Along
with the repressive Force Publique, Leopold also sent a group Christian missionaries to ensure
that the Congolese were meeting Europe s expectations of him introducing the Congolese to
Christianity. Meanwhile, all of Europe and America was fully convinced that he was truly
helping the Congo developmentally. It wasn t until an open letter sent by an American named
George Washington Williams were his true, or lack of, actions revealed though the letter did not
directly end Leopold s reign over the Congo Free State. His actions were so severe that American
author Mark Twain would write a satirical pamphlet condemning Leopold s actions, portraying
him as a delusional man trying to convince others that he did improve the Congo s way of life.
After two decades of exploitation, which the modern day Democratic Republic of Congo is still
struggling to recover from, Leopold went from a limited monarch, to the richest king in

Obey To A Collectivist Culture Analysis
I believe that individuals in collectivistic cultures tend to obey an authority figure more than
individuals in individualistic cultures. In collectivism, cooperation is the norm; people are expected
to conform to the community, and interdependence is highly valued. The interest of the community
is always taken into consideration when problems arise, when decisions are made, and when
conflicts erupt. However, having read about the obedience experiments performed at Yale in the
1960s by professor Stanley Milgram, I am not sure that this particular dimension of culture is the
only factor that is to be considered when deciding who would obey to an authority figure. I believe
that other dimensions of culture need to be taken into consideration

A Viking s Civilized World
Were the Vikings barbaric, or were they civilized? The Vikings were a civilized and organized
culture. The Vikings political system was essential to the Vikings everyday lives by giving them a
stable lifestyle and a reliable colony.Traditions and religion were an important part of the Vikings
culture. Their interaction with the environment was crucial to survival in the Vikings and their
civilization. Interacting with the environment, the Vikings managed to locate and design food and
shelter. The civilized traits in the Vikings world were demonstrated through its political, culture,
and interaction with environment. In the ancient days of the Vikings, the political aspect of their
world consisted of improving the organization and civilization of the Vikings lives; the topics that
prove this statement were law, structure, and war. As William R. Short stated, A system of laws
was set up whereby people were governed by consensus and where disputes were resolved through
negotiation and compromise (hurstwic.org). Short is conveying the idea that the Vikings had a
civilized facet of the political system. Even though the Vikings had an advanced law system, they
also had to have a system of punishment so they would be taken seriously. Short also noted that
Not only was there the psychological terror of loneliness due to exclusion from all social contacts,
there was also the very real threat of violence and death from unrelated third parties (hurstwic.org).

Non Hodgkin s Lymphoma
Introduction According to the American Cancer Society website, Non Hodgkin lymphoma (also
known as non Hodgkin s lymphoma, Non Hodgkin s disease, NHL, or sometimes just lymphoma)
is a cancer that starts in the cells of the lymph system, which is part of the body s immune
system.1 It is a type of cancer of the blood that affects the white blood cells, which are usually
involved in protecting against infections. NHL is not a single disease, but rather a group of at least
31 closely related cancers that affect the lymphatic system.2 Although the different types of NHL

The most common sign and symptom of NHL is a painless swelling in one or more of the lymph
nodes in the neck (Figure 2), collarbone region, armpits, or groin. These are easily seen or felt as
lumps under the skin. When the lymphoid tissue inside the abdomen is involved, the abdomen
can become tender, painful, and or swollen. This may be due to either a tumor or to large
collections of fluid, the pressure or blockage of this tumor can cause nausea, vomiting, or
blockage of feces. When lymphomas start in the thymus or lymph nodes in the chest, it may
irritate or compress the nearby trachea, which can lead to coughing and trouble breathing.
Superior Vena Cava syndrome also is a result when lymphomas are located in or near the thymus
and chest area, these tumors block the flow of blood back to the heart and result in swelling in the

The Impact Of Old-Time Radio Era On American Culture
There have been many different aspects that have come out of the old time radio era that have
impacted our culture today. It was not just the news that people learned about it was also
entertainment. Usually, in a time when there was nothing to be happy about. In order for us to
understand the difference that these people made in the lives of others. It needs to be
understood why they were created and where they came from. Also, it was not just about the
actors, it was the story lines and the dramas that helped people escape and either enjoy a good
thriller or comedy show. A radio drama is a dramatized performance, broadcasted on the radio or it
was published on audio media for instance a tape or CD. These tapes became very popular during...

While this is usually not necessarily a lousy concept, the fiasco on October 31st, 1938 between
8 and 9 PM said a different story. The WABC radio broadcast network decided to air an episode
of, The Mercury Theatre on the Air . Directed by Orson Welles the group performed their
adaption of, The war of the Worlds , written by Howard Koch s. The actors in the group did such
a marvelous job that people listening in actually believed that they were listening to a live news
report of a sure enough alien invasion. This broadcast caused such a mass panic that now when
you are watching or listening to mockumentary or fake broadcast there is always a disclaimer.
According to an article run in the, Daily News titled, Fake Radio war Stirs Terror Through U.S., in

rushed from their homes in New York and New Jersey, many with towels across their faces to
protect themselves from gas which the invader was supposed to be spewing forth. Simultaneously,
thousands more in states that stretched west to California and south to the Gulf of Mexico rushed
to their telephones to inquire of newspapers, the police, switchboard operators, and electric
companies what they should do to protect themselves. (George Dixon,

The Fifth Amendment was included in this final approval and ratification. History of the Fifth
Amendment As originally ratified it was unclear whether the Fifth Amendment applied only against
action taken by the federal government or if it also protected freedoms from state governmental
abuse. The Supreme Court answered this question in Barron v. City of Baltimore, 32 U.S. 243, 7
Pet. 243, 8 L.Ed. 672 (1833), when it ruled that the Fifth Amendment did not apply to the states.
This judgment settled the question until the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified in 1868. It
guaranteed the citizens of every state the right to EQUAL PROTECTION of the laws and the right
to due process of law. Following RATIFICATION of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Supreme
Court began making individual freedoms enumerated in the Bill of Rights applicable to the states
via the doctrine of incorporation. Under this doctrine the Court explained through a series of cases
that no state may deny any citizen a fundamental liberty without violating the Fourteenth
Amendment s Equal Protection and Due Process Clauses. The Court has ruled that these
fundamental liberties include every liberty set forth in the Bill of Rights, except the Second
Amendment s right to bear arms, the Third Amendment s right against quartering soldiers, the

William Carlos Williams The Use Of Force
The Use of Force Physicians, in their daily practices will tell you, not all patients when being
examined will comply with the doctor s wishes. Likewise, Law Enforcement. Police, can tell you
also not all calls went as smooth as it should most of the times. Nearly all doctors will agree that
children, and the mentally incompetent, are the most difficult patients to deal with. Because of
incompetence, these patients are not able to make decisions for themselves. Doctors are
presumably likeable people, because, when you are sick, they make you healthier, although for
others, doctors can be villains. Patients whose doctors force treatment on them perceive this as a
violation of their rights. The use of force should be mandatory when patient health becomes life
threatening to themselves and the public at large. William Carlos Williamsin his story, The Use of
Force, described the unfolding of a dramatic encounter between a doctor and a little girl named
Matilde, whose parents called the doctor for help because of concern for her health. Matilde was
suspected of having diphtheriaby her parents. The story unfolds like a masterpiece being played
on the stage of a theater as the doctor arrived at the family s home. She s had a fever for three
days, shouted the father and we don t know what it comes from, (20). The doctor asked the parent,
has she had a sore throat? (23), which both parents replied no. To diagnose the ailment, the doctor
must examine Matilda s throat.

without using unnecessary usage of lethal force. Violent crime has been with human existence from
the beginning of human history. According to the Bible, that Christians use, Cain killed Abel,
which is also known to be the first man slaughter in our history. Even after this incident, people in

The major pros for taser gun is that, tasers are non lethal weapon that can effectively take down
the suspects without any violent consequences. However, if tasers are the best weapon for the
law enforcers, why every countries around the world isn t are using this effective weapon.
Almost every European nations forbids using tasers in any form. The major issue that taser has
controversies with is that it is using electricity on human body. Although taser is known to be
safe non lethal weapon as the Taser International argues, however there are few death of a person
who was being tazed. Since taser guns are using electricity, when the subjects are suffering from
a heart disease, it might have a negative impacts on the subject, worst case, causing death (Mun

body, such situations like this is hard to be avoided. Other cons of taser is over usage of taser on
the suspects. As we already know, taser is non lethal weapon, and due to this characteristic,
sometimes law enforcers over uses taser. According to this news article, this man in America was
tazed 8 times before getting arrested for being not cooperative to the police (SBS News 2014). If

Essay on Real World Exposure and CVA Simulation
Real world exposure and CVA simulation
The risk neutral approach assumes that asset prices follow stochastic process with drift coinciding
with the short rate r(t) being risk free interest rate. dS(t)=S(t)[rdt+Пѓ(S(t),t) гЂ–dWгЂ—^Q (t)]
Instead, in real world measure they follow more complex process, which embodies time and risk
aversion of investors, namely: dS(t)=S(t)[Ој(S(t),t)dt+Пѓ(S(t),t) гЂ–dWгЂ—^R (t)] or,
equivalently, a process with real world stochastic discount factors which depend on risk free
interest rates but also on asset prices itself.
The form of this process with almost arbitrary process s drift term complicates the implementation;
for example, makes it difficult in practice to simulate asset prices through standard analytic or ...

Below we outline this straightforward and well known implementation methodology yet we further
enhance it to join real world simulation specifics with the evident benefits of risk neutral American
Monte Carlo pricing.
Under real world measure there is a problem of defining an appropriate form of the market price
of risk, or the drift terms in the equation above. In practice, one uses historical data for all
coupled risk factors as a source to make model assumptions on the market price of risk, then
calibrate real world stochastic process with corresponding drift terms. Note that for real world
simulation one needs a real world evolution of the whole yield curve to incorporate realistic risk
perception of market participants and not just a few principal yield curve components as it often
happens in risk neutral simulation.
There is a large number of approaches to evolve real world yield curves including non , semi or
parametric ones based on historical data as the primary source of real world model calibration. In
general, their common feature is that they preserve historical quote patterns and statistical
properties including the following important ones: historical unconditional moments of 1 day or
many day normal or lognormal changes for all yield

As the world economy is becoming more and more international, it has now become essential to
know how to interact with people coming from some other countries. Nowadays most of growing
companies are treating with partners abroad but some of them are facing communication problems.
Cross cultural communication consist in a field of study that looks at how people from different
cultural background communicate. In our essay we will see in what extent dealing with a

that everybody has to face. We all have been educated in different places and had different
influences that made of us the persons we are today. This different experiences we had gave us

was the fear of racial and political decline. Barely half a century earlier, Thomas Macaulay had
declared the history of England to be emphatically the history of progress , but late Victorians
living in the wake of Darwinian evolution had lost the earlier positivism of their age. Uncertainty
over the immutability of Britain s historical identity, what historian Tim Murray has called the

Haggard was greatly interested in the ruins discovered at Zimbabwe in the 1870 s.
Haggard was strongly influenced by archaeology and evolutionary theories, especially ideas about

Additionally, the idea that he would always creep u once upon his knees once he began to do so

rise again. Some held that life in the world should discipline our bodies while others held that the
human spirit was inviolable and life in the body should be unrestrained. This duality of physical
and spiritual also gave rise to Marcionism.
Marcion believed that the God of the Old Testament (Yahweh) and of the New Testament (Father
of Christ) were two different gods. Because he viewed Yahweh as the creator, he rejected the
incarnation since it would have made Jesus subject to an inferior god. He established a church that
used the letters of Paul and the Gospel of Luke and explained away Old Testament references by
blaming them on Judaizers (Gonzalez 74). These dualistic viewpoints directly relate to ... Show

Reckless Driving In Virginia
Fifteen Ways to Get a Reckless Driving Ticket in Virginia
Virginia takes reckless driving seriously. Drivers convicted are guilty of committing a class 1
criminal charge, the same criminal classification as a DUI/DWI conviction. Criminal charges can
stay on your record for years, and can have a huge impact on your lifestyle. Professionals who need
security clearances for their occupation may lose those authorizations. Military or government
contractors, who deal with sensitive matters, may not be able to get required sanctions. Insurance
costs significantly raise. Unfortunately, many driving behaviors that are considered traffic
violations in other states, are categorized as reckless driving in Virginia. Following are fifteen ways
to get charged with reckless driving in Virginia.

Virginia deems it a crime to drive over 80 miles per hour (mph), or 20 mph over the speed limit. A
simple speeding ticket may be taken care of by paying a fine after you return home. Because
reckless driving tickets are criminal, they are much more problematic. You can receive a Reckless
Diving Speeding ticket even when you are not otherwise driving recklessly, such as weaving, or
changing lanes. If the speeding criteria is met, the charge is reckless driving.
The second most commonly given reckless driving ticket is Virginia Code § 46.2‐852
involving any behavior of a driver that puts life, limb, or property in danger. General reckless
driving citations may be given to distracted drivers, those that tailgate, speeding violators, or those
drivers expressing road rage. In Virginia, these actions are considered criminal. Obviously, the
general reckless driving ticket will apply to a variety of situations, and is a catch all terms.

Narrative Essay About A Birthday Day
What are you guys talking about? I questioned.
Mom replied, Well, me and your dad was talking about what we were going to do for your
birthday. I was six years old and I lived in Charleston, West Virginia, and my parents having my
birthday party for me. So, my mom called some of her friends and I texted some of my friends
too because I wanted to have fun with them, it was summer time. So, we started with some
friends over then a little more people started to come. After ever one was there my mom got the
chocolate cake and strawberry ice cream from the store that she had ordered and she got some
food to, she got hot dogs, hot dogs buns, two bags of family size chips, MTW Dew, Dr. Pepper,
Sprit, water, some cups, and some dip for your chips. When she got back we was playing and I
saw my mom pulled in the drive way and I helped her with the groceries and helped her out with
some things when she got home. So, when I was helping her and my aunt saw me helping my mom
getting groceries out of the car and putting them away.
My aunt told me, Go play with your friends it s your birthday. Go be a kid.
I replied, Okay, but at least can I put up the groceries for my mom, please.
Aunt declined, No! Go do what I was asked you to do, you might not have another fun birthday
party like this one.
I answered, Alright I will go but can I just get these last few groceries.
Aunt replied, Go on now before I whoop your butt.

Effects of the Bombing of Hiroshima
What is the purpose of an atomic bomb? It s a weapon that when detonated, can produce massive
amounts of heat and radiation, and dropping one of these devices on a city has the potential to
kill and maim hundreds of thousands of people. An estimated 150,000 to 246,000 Japanese
citizens from the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki died from two atomic bombs in 1945
(Frequently Asked Questions). Those who survived the bombings had a greater chance of
developing various kinds of cancers and diseases, which many of those people suffered from for
the rest of their lives. This can be attributed to the amount of radiation from the bombs they were
exposed to. Because of the dehumanizing effects from the use of these bombs and powerful they
truly are, and the fact that the primary target of these weapons are innocent civilians, atomic
bombs should be outlawed from any further use or tests, and all remaining weapons should be
deactivated. As time has passed since the end of WWII, several nations have shown that they no
longer need to keep their nuclear arsenals, and they can still be secure on a foreign and domestic
level without them. These countries that deactivate their stockpiles are only going to help make
the world a more safe and more secure place to live in, without the threat of a global nuclear war.
With the establishment of organizations such as NATO and the UN, the threat of global nuclear
war has diminished. These organizations can find alternative ways to deal with severe

The Case Of Riley Mahan Essay
Riley Mahan was reportedly born on 1/26/1997 in Ventura, California to the intact union of
Kevin and Kathleen Mahan. Mr. Mahan, the elder, worked as the director of theatre lighting at
the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. before his death in January 2016. The defendant
s mother, Mrs. Mahan, also worked in the theatre business as a stage manager for several years.
The defendant is the oldest of two sons born to the Mahans. His brother, Bryce, is 14 years old
and has been identified on the autism spectrum according to Mrs. Mahan. His parents have been
divorced for several years. The defendant reportedly lived in California until he was two years old
before relocating to the Northern Virginia area. In March 2015, their family home was destroyed
by a fire. Although no one was physically hurt in the fire, as no one was home at the time, Mrs.
Mahan believes the trauma from losing the home and the death of his father contributed to her son s
mental healthsymptoms. She described periods of the defendant displaying appropriate, calm
behavior that could vacillate in mood and behavior quickly without a known trigger. She described
her son as kind, smart, and helpful, but admitted that he has met some traumatic disappointments in
the last couple of years.
Mr. Mahan graduated from Woodson High School after first attending Robinson Secondary School
through 10th grade. He offered that he was classified as eligible for special educational services
during high school.

In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there were many people that
played important roles, but one would think that Friar s role was the most important. In the play
Romeo and Juliet meet Friar Lawrence. He is a priest that lives on the outskirts of Verona and
he is always there to give a helping hand. Romeo first met him when he was going to ask Friar to
marry him and Juliet. From there through the rest of the play he has always been someone to give
support to Romeo and Juliet. One would believe that Friar Lawrence is the backbone of the play
because he guides and leads Romeo and Juliet through the many problems that they have: therefore,

b) Illustrate your chosen process with the help of a transformation model.
Answer a) Many methodologies and techniques for improving operational performance have been
developed over the years В– these provide structured ways of improving company performance, but
they do not explicitly tell us where to start. To be able to improve performance effectively, it is
important to identify the particular factors of performance to work with. Furthermore, it is

Essay on the Growth of Katherina in Taming of the Shrew
The Growth of Katherina in Taming of the Shrew
Although Katherina s final speech in The Taming of the Shrew may sound subservient on the
surface, it actually reflects her growth and development into a stronger and more complex character.
Without losing the forcefulness that she displayed earlier in the play, the delivery of her final
speech exhibits the cleverness and deceptiveness that she has learned from Petruchio throughout the
taming process.
At the beginning of the play, Katherina is seen as the forceful sister and Bianca as the clever one.
Katherina is described by Grumio as the fiend of hell (I.i.88) and by Tranio as curst and shrewd
(I.i.180). In contrast, Lucentio sees in Bianca s silence mild behavior and ... Show more content on

After he wins Bianca s love with his cleverness, he assumes that she will remain silent and
obedient when she becomes his wife. He doesn t realize that Bianca is also very clever and that
her earlier mild behavior has been a pose. Lucentio is so sure of Bianca s subservience that he
wagers a hundred crowns with Petruchio that Bianca will come when he sends for her. However,
the cleverness he used to win Bianca s love did not ensure her obedience as his wife and he loses
the wager.
Petruchio like Katherina is very strong and forceful. However, his forcefulness is viewed as a
positive masculine attribute, whereas Katherina s forcefulness is seen as a negative, shrewish
trait. But Petruchio is not only forceful; he like Bianca and Lucentio is also quite clever. He
seems to relish the challenge of taming Katherina, both for the sport of it as well as the monetary
rewards that she will bring to their marriage. In order to tame Katherina, Petruchio freely uses both
force and cleverness. At their first meeting, he cleverly sings her praises: Hearing thy mildness
prais d in every town,/Thy virtues spoke of, and thy beauty sounded,/Yet not so deeply as to thee
belongs (II.i.191 93). While he proceeds with witty praise, Katherina responds with insults and at
one point strikes Petruchio (II.i.219). Petruchio is unfazed and warns Katherina that he will

The Pros And Cons Of Vgo Robots
Many students struggling with cancer or other terminal illnesses can t reasonably make it to
class every day, but they shouldn t have to miss out on the lessons and social interactions that
come with school. VGo robots can solve this problem by helping students attend class from afar.
The VGo isn t currently accessible to every family with a sick child, as models go for about
$6,000, but for those that can afford them they allow students to continue with the normal
activities of everyday life in spite of their illness even if through a not so normal means. What s
more, the greater the adoption of this technology, the more likely it is that the price will come
down, so it s worth thinking of ways to use this technology now. Autistic students often find
communicating with other people intimidating and confusing facial expressions and nonverbal
cues that other kids would easily pick up on are just harder to comprehend. Robots can look a
little bit like humans, but without all those confusing expressions that distract from what a
person is saying. The Nao robot has been helping kids with autism learn social cues, as well as
different educational lessons for a few years with a fair amount of success. Smaller children
working with the robot have learned how to identify the different types of animals in their lessons,
and slightly older kids can work with the robot (who provides responses to help them understand
their progress) to learn basic reading skills. The robots

Society s Failure To Achieve The American Dream
The image of an American Dream is that anything can happen. The idea that anyone can be
successful or pursue success. Satisfaction and happiness can be only be attained through the
quality of their own life. Americans were raised in a society that tells them they can be anything

the dry reality that money has taken over one s happiness. The need to be financially stable has
caused society to work in professional positions that will never satisfy them, that leave them

This is where the start of population coding formed. I personally find it amazing that we can
compare two separate things that are unlike in many ways such as computers and our nervous
system. There are so many things that are similar even though they are so unlike, such as there is
one thing controlling the whole system like in our bodies our nervous system controls us.
An example of the population coding that is presented within the paper is place cells within
rats. We are able to use these cells to show the animals location with regards to a centred
reference frame in the surrounding environment of the rat. In this experiment, they use a small
maze, each area is characterized by one of these place cells . Within this area there is a small
region of the maze that is triggered and sends a response. Through observing the rats, they saw
that there was a spatial overlap between the fields and thus, they concluded that the cells would
respond to any location that they are given. They also found that visual features were also encoded
within these population codes, for example, orientation, colour, direction of motion, and depth. So
far, it has been shown that our environmental influences effect our behaviour so heavily.
Population encoding is very strongly rooted, if one cell is damaged it won t affect the already
encoded representation. Just as if one part of a computer goes, most of the time the remaining parts

scientists, professional historians, and conspiracy theorists. Periodically, with continuous
developments and improvements in technology, new information is being discovered that either
relates to an existing theory about the assassination or inspires additional assumptions about the

He feels as if he must make meaning out of all the material in his possession and so, because he
does not know how to accomplish this, he remains perpetually immobile in his attempt to uncover
and write the true history of the assassination. Branch s objective to investigate all the facts about
the assassination places him in a chaotic situation. It is impossible for him to account for every
detail, fact, and occurrence linked to Kennedy s assassination because there is already too much
information for him to examine and much that has yet to be discovered. Christopher M. Mott, in
his essay Libra and the Subject of History , comments on Branch s need for absolute closure and
the chaotic results that arise: The novel implies that the version of the world that informs our
government s practices and dominates our episteme intends to account for every detail of existence.
It employs a totalizing discourse, a discourse of rational examination and explanation. Libra clearly
indicates that this penchant for total explanation leads, in fact, to total chaos. We simply cannot
account for every detail, every nuance. (143)
Branch s desire to piece together the factual events of the assassination has led to his abandonment
of life. He will forever be confined to his, as DeLillo describes, room of theories (57) since he must
study everything about the event. However, the CIA is constantly supplying him

whether to be proactive or reactive. by Stephen Covey. You get chances all the time to make
choices. Some people choose to be proactive and do the right things. For example if your know
you have to clean the house, why wait until your mom has to tells you and start yelling at you. It
s better to be proactive and do it without her telling you. You can use this habit in so many ways.
The proactive approach to a mistake is to acknowledge it instantly, and learn from it and not

no one can choose them for you so, if your do something that s not right why complain and argue,
yes you can but, at the same time you were the one to choose your actions. There are so many

For many Americans it is common knowledge to know about the Vietnam War; however, for
some Americans the Vietnam War is ancient history, dishonorable, but irrelevant nonetheless. If
people do not physically see the many horrors of war it is easy to forget; although maybe it is
something we try to forget. However, there are some who may be able to forget there will be
some, like politicians, that will not forget. The Vietnam War had a terrible impact on both the
United States and Vietnam, and more importantly it would affect foreign policy for many years to

most part the reason was to stop the spread of communism. Communism was on the rise and...

When Rolling Thunder failed to weaken the enemy s will after the first several weeks the
purpose of it began to change. Bombings then tended to be directed at the flow of men and

the same course. Operation Rolling Thunder was a desperate attempt to convince the North

Analysis Of The Poem The Raven
The Raven versus Ode to a Nightingale The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe is a story of a young adult
who has lost the woman he was in love with and is struggling cope. The story teller compulsorily
builds self destructive understanding of his mourning in a raven s constant Nevermore reminder to
him, until he eventually gives up about being reconnected with Lenore in the new world. On the
other hand, John Keats Ode to a Nightingaleis another interesting poem set in London, which tells
the story of a nightingale that undergoes pain and suffering caused by a loss of human life but
remains alive. Like in the Raventhe latter the poem demonstrates clearly that pleasure is temporary
and that human beings are mortal (Fogle 81). In the literary piece, Keats envisages the
shortcomings of the physical environment and considers his own life gone when the nightingale
song sets in. As such, the poet contrasts between the eternal nightingale and temporal life of human
beings in an immensely imaginative way that integrates the primary factors affecting life including
weather and natural aesthetics such as flower. Weather rejuvenates the power of the nightingales as
evidenced in their covering of the heath. Like the Raven, however, Ode to a nightingale shares the
theme of human mortality, spirituality and kindness, and isolation among the bereaved.

The identified values are converted into the relevant binary format, and this binary format of human
values sent to the hospital server for doctoral assessment through General Packet Radio Service
(GPRS), by using of Microcontroler Unit or Master Node. Results: In the identification process, If
the master node identifies any one above mentioned human parameter values have been exceeded
the threshold value, then it sends the alert message to the human care person through Short
Message Service (SMS), all communication encrypted with Festiel Cipher Structure.
Background
In the contemporary gadgeted era, human patients are continuously monitored during their stay in
the hospital. It gives rise to inconvenience and psychological strain to the patients during their stay
in hospitals. Factors like trauma, pain, treatment cost, time spent and human energy also add up to
the stress and health detoriation, which leads to early discharge from hospital care. This heath
issue can be carried over at home as well with minimal or no monitoring. To avoid this kind of
issues, improving the monitoring facilities and identifying the health condition before the
emergency in remote areas or at patient s home can be done by using Wireless Body Sensor
Networks (WBSN).

My Special Place Of Voyageurs National Park
My special place is a campsite called Day Maker 23 located on a small island on Namaken Lake
in Voyageurs National Park. Voyageurs National Park is located in Orr Minnesota just south of
the Canadian border. It is also located on the Eastern edge of the Canadian Shield. An exposed
area of Precambrian stone. My island does not have a specific name, but it appears to be a break
off of Sweetnose island in the Blind Indian Narrows located at 48В°26 33.7 N 92В°46 33.0 W.
Day Maker 23 is unique in that its location causes a division in current going through the narrows
causing stronger currents towards the west side of the island. This was a phenomenon that we
often had to deal with as the current would push our boat against the only dock on the island
located on the western point. The only campsite on the island was also located on the western
point, but was significantly more elevated than its rocky shoreline. This elevation, coupled with
the island s location caused for a constant breeze to blow over the campsite (Appendix D). Day
Maker 23 had a very rocky shoreline characterized by many of the islands within Voyageurs
National Park. These rocks vary in size, with some rocks having large cracks with small caves
(Appendix C). The rocks around the shoreline were typically light grey in color with some
variations in texture and crystal size. (Appendix B) I do not remember the rocks being particularly
sandy, however, I have also not been to the site in four to five years. These

What Is The Rhetorical Analysis Of Bluefin Tuna With The...
Dear reader,
In preparing to write this analysis, I pondered on how I could exploit each rhetorical analysis within
my advertisement. Understanding these devices enables me to then structure and organize my
arguments around this idea. In order to get started with my analysis I first pondered what is the
thesis, and what is the overall argument the WWF (World Wildlife) organization presents with
having a Bluefin Tuna with the face of a panda. As I kept evaluating the advertisement other
questions came to mind such as who is their target audience and why do they arrange the ad by
presenting it with a close up shot of a Bluefin Tuna with the face of a panda leading a school of
fish. There s also a question at the bottom right corner of the ad to get their point across asking
would you care more if it were a panda .
I found that the key to answering those questions is understanding why the organization chooses
to present the ad the way they does tying it in with their quote. They relate the extinction of the
two animals, making the reader feel guilty because they understand the inverse relationship of
sympathy towards the two animals the world has. Guilt is one of the stronger human emotions,
and the organization realize that, and use it to get people to care. On top of making the reader
feel guilty, all of the colors in the ad are dark and gray based which gives a sad and gloomy
ambience, and contributes greatly to the guilt trip conveyed to the reader.
I also found a new

Trauma In Forensic Pathological Analysis
Introduction
When a person dies, the natural forces of decomposition cause for the soft tissue to breakdown
and ultimately disappear over time. If enough time has gone by, any soft tissue evidence present at
the time of death will also have disappeared. Once this has occurred, it is up to forensic
anthropologists to analyze the skeletal remains for evidence of trauma in order to help the forensic
pathologist assign a cause and manner of death to this individual. The task is complicated by the
similarities between antemortem and perimortem injuries, the presence of skeletal anomalies, as
well as the postmortem changes that can occur when skeletal remains are exposed to the elements
of nature.
Although procedures and protocols have been established ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Nakhaeizadeh et al. studied the power of contextual effects in producing bias in interpretations of
trauma on skeletal remains. Ninety nine forensic anthropologists were randomly assigned to three
different websites, all of which contained the very same fourteen images of bones that contained
known trauma, pseudo trauma, anomalies, and taphonomical process characteristics. However, one
website included contextual information with the images, reporting that they were from a mass
grave. The second website reported that the bones in the images came from an archaeological dig
in an area with a known low level of trauma. Finally, the third website was a control and contained
no contextual information. The participants were asked to assign levels of trauma to each picture,
with varying options available. The results concluded that there were significantly higher recordings
of trauma in the bones affiliated with the mass grave than the exact same pictures of bones from the
other two websites (Nakhaeizadeh et al.,

The Evolution Of Humans And Humans
Humans have existed on Earth for approximately 3.4 million years. The oldest known human
ancestor is Lucy, an Australopithecus. Over this extensive period of time, humans have evolved
significantly. Homo Sapiens have grown from 3 to almost 6 feet (average), lost most of the body
hair, became leaner and adapted to walking. Humans have come a long way, from Australopithecus
to Homo sapiens, from living in trees to living in cities. Slowly, through hundreds of thousands of
years, we mutated over and over again, natural selection ensuring that no destructive mutations
continue. From the slow evolution, four distinctive species emerged and died out, each giving way
to its descendant: Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homo Sapiens Neanderthalesis, and Homo sapiens
Sapiens.
The Australopithecines were the first to walk upright, or became bipedal, although rather clumsily.
Their walk was unsteady, judging by their bone structure (Figure 1.), and they most likely were
quadrupedal the majority of the time. The Australopithecines had a brain about the size of an
orange, high up cheekbones, and big molars. They were about three feet tall, and had small thumbs.
Australopithecines, while definitely possessing some human characteristics, humans are still much
closer to the chimps. Australopithecines were vegetarians; even if they knew that animals were
edible, they still had no reliable means of killing animals for food. About 2 million years ago,
highly evolved Australopithecines made the

Federal Elections Committee versus Citizens United
The increasingly popular organization, Citizens United, is focused on circumscribing government
in order to decentralize power and place it in the hands of the people ( Who We Are ). Their firm
beliefs are rooted in the ideas that the founding fathers had for this country based on values such as
common sense, good will, and honesty ( Who We Are). Citizens United Productions, or (CUP) is an
award winning documentary production crew run by Citizens United with the intention of
revealing the truth about particular candidates, which often tend to reveal damaging information
about said candidate. ( Who We Are ). Recently, Citizens... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Furthermore, they must disclose that the candidate of which the advertising is about does not
condone the message ( Citizens United versus Federal Election Commission. ). The Supreme Court
struck down the law, thus essentially allowing unlimited funding of candidates from corporations.
The unrestricted access that campaigns have when funding grants legal impairment of those who
are unable to donate money as a corporation would, thus making the votes of the people matter less.
In the post civil war era until World War One lived many elites who prided themselves on their
shoddy and commercialized wealth, which can also be said about the current political climate
existent in America today. In the era termed The Gilded Age, by one Mark Twain, there also
thrived a great deal of political corruption due to huge amounts of money that existed in the
economy, similarly to our current political climate. Due to an influx of immigrants that localized
to urban areas such as Chicago there were high concentrations of people in relatively small areas
creating problems for the welfare of people ( Gilded Age Scandal and Corruption ). As it is the
government s responsibility to aid those in need, it was still not enough for many. In causality,
organizations were created to fill the gap between government could provide and what the people
needed. These organizations did things like giving material assistance to new arrivals, got people
jobs, provided necessities for families in distress,

Since nobles were an important and powerful part of the society, both Louis and Peter tried to integrate them in the main body of the government hence, preventing oppositions and maintaining stability in their governments. Louis XIV widened his control over higher and provincial nobility by creating the court of aristocrats and summoning the nobles to take up residence in Versailles. This made it easier for him to keep them under his eyes (Spielvogel, P. 509). Peter on the other hand, created Table of Ranks to force nobles to enter into government service in the bureaucracy, army and navy (Lim, P. 99). Therefore, treating them as commoners and devaluing the importance of their nobility. While talking about... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the beginning of the seventeenth century, Spain possessed the most populous empire in the world, controlling almost all Africa. To most Europeans, Spain still seemed the greatest power of the age, but the reality was quite different: the treasury was empty (Spielvogel P 512). A major political development inspired by growing nationalism was the alliance of small states into two central new nations: Italy and Germany. Before the second half of the 19th century, Italy was a collection of city states that were only loosely allied with one another. The German Confederation was created by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, but it had been controlled by the Austrian and Prussian Empires. In 1848 major rebellions broke out within the confederation, inspired by liberals who envisioned a German nation ruled by parliamentary government. The revolutions failed, and many liberals fled the country, but they proved to be an excuse for the Prussian army to invade other parts of the Confederation. The Prussian military leader was Otto von Bismarck, who subjugated the rebels and declared the beginning of the German ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Leopold In Cold Blood Analysis Starting from the European colonization period, Congo has constantly been plagued with foreign interference, namely by external countries and multinational corporations looking to gain wealth. They have demolished the magnificent African cake systematically throughout the years, starting primarily from Leopold s Congo Free state, which he ruled single handedly, to the modern day Democratic Republic of Congo. Leopold began his regime by holding conferences regarding Africa, and formed organizations that he claimed would aid Africa. Not only did Leopold abuse the abundance of natural resources out of greed, he also destroyed the economy, political system, and the people for generations to come. Leopold s framework of a Congo whose resources... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Leopold began by extracting ivory, and later began extracting the highly valued rubber. He then began looking into the mines of the Congo, which held an abundance of highly valued minerals to gain more wealth. To make the transportation of the extractive resources more efficient, Leopold had a railway built, using additional forced labor on the part of the Congolese. Along with the repressive Force Publique, Leopold also sent a group Christian missionaries to ensure that the Congolese were meeting Europe s expectations of him introducing the Congolese to Christianity. Meanwhile, all of Europe and America was fully convinced that he was truly helping the Congo developmentally. It wasn t until an open letter sent by an American named George Washington Williams were his true, or lack of, actions revealed though the letter did not directly end Leopold s reign over the Congo Free State. His actions were so severe that American author Mark Twain would write a satirical pamphlet condemning Leopold s actions, portraying him as a delusional man trying to convince others that he did improve the Congo s way of life. In collectivism, cooperation is the norm; people are expected to conform to the community, and interdependence is highly valued. The interest of the community is always taken into consideration when problems arise, when decisions are made, and when conflicts erupt. However, having read about the obedience experiments performed at Yale in the 1960s by professor Stanley Milgram, I am not sure that this particular dimension of culture is the only factor that is to be considered when deciding who would obey to an authority figure. • 6. A Viking s Civilized World Were the Vikings barbaric, or were they civilized? The Vikings were a civilized and organized culture. The Vikings political system was essential to the Vikings everyday lives by giving them a stable lifestyle and a reliable colony.Traditions and religion were an important part of the Vikings culture. Their interaction with the environment was crucial to survival in the Vikings and their civilization. Interacting with the environment, the Vikings managed to locate and design food and shelter. The civilized traits in the Vikings world were demonstrated through its political, culture, and interaction with environment. In the ancient days of the Vikings, the political aspect of their world consisted of improving the organization and civilization of the Vikings lives; the topics that prove this statement were law, structure, and war. In practice, one uses historical data for all coupled risk factors as a source to make model assumptions on the market price of risk, then calibrate real world stochastic process with corresponding drift terms. Note that for real world simulation one needs a real world evolution of the whole yield curve to incorporate realistic risk perception of market participants and not just a few principal yield curve components as it often happens in risk neutral simulation. Elizabeth realizes she needs to handle her country and not let there be a middle man. She also faces pressure from other advisors and diplomats to marry and produce an heir. Cecil was prominent in the push for Elizabeth to marry and produce an heir. Sir Walsingham told Elizabeth to do what the prince would do referring to Machiavelli. Essay on the Growth of Katherina in Taming of the Shrew The Growth of Katherina in Taming of the Shrew Although Katherina s final speech in The Taming of the Shrew may sound subservient on the surface, it actually reflects her growth and development into a stronger and more complex character. Without losing the forcefulness that she displayed earlier in the play, the delivery of her final speech exhibits the cleverness and deceptiveness that she has learned from Petruchio throughout the taming process. At the beginning of the play, Katherina is seen as the forceful sister and Bianca as the clever one. Katherina is described by Grumio as the fiend of hell (I.i.88) and by Tranio as curst and shrewd (I.i.180). In contrast, Lucentio sees in Bianca s silence mild behavior and ... He doesn t realize that Bianca is also very clever and that her earlier mild behavior has been a pose. Lucentio is so sure of Bianca s subservience that he wagers a hundred crowns with Petruchio that Bianca will come when he sends for her. However, the cleverness he used to win Bianca s love did not ensure her obedience as his wife and he loses the wager. Petruchio like Katherina is very strong and forceful. However, his forcefulness is viewed as a positive masculine attribute, whereas Katherina s forcefulness is seen as a negative, shrewish trait. But Petruchio is not only forceful; he like Bianca and Lucentio is also quite clever. He seems to relish the challenge of taming Katherina, both for the sport of it as well as the monetary rewards that she will bring to their marriage. In order to tame Katherina, Petruchio freely uses both force and cleverness. At their first meeting, he cleverly sings her praises: Hearing thy mildness prais d in every town,/Thy virtues spoke of, and thy beauty sounded,/Yet not so deeply as to thee belongs (II.i.191 93). The Pros And Cons Of Vgo Robots Many students struggling with cancer or other terminal illnesses can t reasonably make it to class every day, but they shouldn t have to miss out on the lessons and social interactions that come with school. VGo robots can solve this problem by helping students attend class from afar. The VGo isn t currently accessible to every family with a sick child, as models go for about $6,000, but for those that can afford them they allow students to continue with the normal activities of everyday life in spite of their illness even if through a not so normal means. Autistic students often find communicating with other people intimidating and confusing facial expressions and nonverbal cues that other kids would easily pick up on are just harder to comprehend. Robots can look a little bit like humans, but without all those confusing expressions that distract from what a person is saying. The Nao robot has been helping kids with autism learn social cues, as well as different educational lessons for a few years with a fair amount of success. I personally find it amazing that we can compare two separate things that are unlike in many ways such as computers and our nervous system. There are so many things that are similar even though they are so unlike, such as there is one thing controlling the whole system like in our bodies our nervous system controls us. An example of the population coding that is presented within the paper is place cells within rats. We are able to use these cells to show the animals location with regards to a centred reference frame in the surrounding environment of the rat. In this experiment, they use a small maze, each area is characterized by one of these place cells . Within this area there is a small region of the maze that is triggered and sends a response. Through observing the rats, they saw that there was a spatial overlap between the fields and thus, they concluded that the cells would respond to any location that they are given. They also found that visual features were also encoded within these population codes, for example, orientation, colour, direction of motion, and depth. So far, it has been shown that our environmental influences effect our behaviour so heavily. Population encoding is very strongly rooted, if one cell is damaged it won t affect the already encoded representation. It is impossible for him to account for every detail, fact, and occurrence linked to Kennedy s assassination because there is already too much information for him to examine and much that has yet to be discovered. Christopher M. Mott, in his essay Libra and the Subject of History , comments on Branch s need for absolute closure and the chaotic results that arise: The novel implies that the version of the world that informs our government s practices and dominates our episteme intends to account for every detail of existence. It employs a totalizing discourse, a discourse of rational examination and explanation. Libra clearly indicates that this penchant for total explanation leads, in fact, to total chaos. We simply cannot account for every detail, every nuance. (143) Branch s desire to piece together the factual events of the assassination has led to his abandonment of life. Analysis Of The Poem The Raven The Raven versus Ode to a Nightingale The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe is a story of a young adult who has lost the woman he was in love with and is struggling cope. The story teller compulsorily builds self destructive understanding of his mourning in a raven s constant Nevermore reminder to him, until he eventually gives up about being reconnected with Lenore in the new world. On the other hand, John Keats Ode to a Nightingaleis another interesting poem set in London, which tells the story of a nightingale that undergoes pain and suffering caused by a loss of human life but remains alive. Like in the Raventhe latter the poem demonstrates clearly that pleasure is temporary and that human beings are mortal (Fogle 81). In the literary piece, Keats envisages the shortcomings of the physical environment and considers his own life gone when the nightingale song sets in. As such, the poet contrasts between the eternal nightingale and temporal life of human beings in an immensely imaginative way that integrates the primary factors affecting life including weather and natural aesthetics such as flower. Weather rejuvenates the power of the nightingales as evidenced in their covering of the heath. Dear reader, In preparing to write this analysis, I pondered on how I could exploit each rhetorical analysis within my advertisement. Understanding these devices enables me to then structure and organize my arguments around this idea. In order to get started with my analysis I first pondered what is the thesis, and what is the overall argument the WWF (World Wildlife) organization presents with having a Bluefin Tuna with the face of a panda. As I kept evaluating the advertisement other questions came to mind such as who is their target audience and why do they arrange the ad by presenting it with a close up shot of a Bluefin Tuna with the face of a panda leading a school of fish. There s also a question at the bottom right corner of the ad to get their point across asking would you care more if it were a panda . I found that the key to answering those questions is understanding why the organization chooses to present the ad the way they does tying it in with their quote. They relate the extinction of the two animals, making the reader feel guilty because they understand the inverse relationship of sympathy towards the two animals the world has. Guilt is one of the stronger human emotions, and the organization realize that, and use it to get people to care. On top of making the reader feel guilty, all of the colors in the ad are dark and gray based which gives a sad and gloomy ambience, and contributes greatly to the guilt trip conveyed to the reader.
