The American Revolutionary War Between America And Britain
A guerrilla is any radical who utilizes a weapon of any kind and does the real battling for the
insurrection. They may direct demonstrations of dread, guerrilla fighting, criminal exercises, or
customary operations. They are regularly mixed up for the development or insurrection itself;
however they are only the troopers of the development or revolt. Guerrillas fluctuate broadly in size,
make‑up, strategies, and routines starting with one insurrection then onto the next. They even
fluctuate broadly inside of an uprising, particularly in each of the three periods of a rebellion.
The American Revolutionary Waroccurred from April 19, 1775 and ended on September 3, 1783.
This war was an aftereffect of governmental issues; Americans had imagined that the Stamp Act of
1765 had been illegal. Then again, the British asserted that they had the privilege to impose the
individuals with taxes. What numerous individuals believe is that it had been a war in the middle
of America and Britain. Despite the fact that this is incompletely genuine, numerous individuals
don t know or perceive the way that the war had developed and France, the Netherlands and Spain
had taken America s side and joined the war.
At an opportune time the United States had chosen to utilize guerilla or unpredictable fighting.
Americans had favorable position as in British were battling on new domain and had no local
source of manpower or food. By 1783 a great many individuals on

The National Action Party As A Federal Republic Based On...
The official name of Mexico is Mexican United States. Mexico is primarily a federal republic
based on presidential democracy.* It is a country with solid and independent executive, legislative,
and judicial branches. The president of Mexico is selected by plurality vote, meaning the winner
receives the most votes but not necessarily more than half of the votes. This president serves a term
of six years; however, unlike most Latin American countries, there is no second term available.
There are three main political parties that are seen throughout Mexico. The first is the National
Action Party, or PAN (Partido Accion Nacional). The National Action Party is a conservative liberal
party that is seen as one with close ties to the Roman Catholic Church. Generally, PAN supports
minimal government intervention in the economy. The National Action Party was founded in
1939, mainly consisting of support from the northern parts of the country entailing the urban middle
class. PAN represents the interests of business and of the Roman Catholic Church. PAN was the
main opposition party to the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) for six decades after
being founded, until the late 1980s where it fared poorly at all levels. Another political party in
Mexico is the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional). The
Institutional Revolutionary Party represented the institutionalization of the new power structure
that emerged after 1920 as result

Mother To Son By Langston Hughes Analysis
Mother To Son by Langston Hughes
The poem I chose is called Mother to Son by Langston Hughes which describes her life as no
crystal stair . The poem begins with the mother telling her son about her life and how it was no
crystal stair ( 1). She then goes on to tell him how her stairs were broken, bare, and torn up, but
they still take her somewhere and that they were still climbing. The mother tells the son So boy,
don t you turn back. Don t you set down on the steps. Cause you finds its kinder hard. Don t you
fall now For I se still goin , honey, I se still climbin (14 19). While reading this poem I noticed
how the speaker, the mother, had a determined attitude about not stopping and climbing. Since she
is talking to her son, she wants him to succeed and although he may not have come from wealth
and prosperity, that does not mean that he has to fail. In the poem, it seems like the speaker is
wise and knows that even if someone has disadvantages and struggles, it does not mean that they
can t have a future. The tone changes when the mother tells her son how she has not had a good
life or no crystal stair to that even though she doesn t have good stairs, doesn t mean she can t
move forward and climb. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stairs seem to be a symbol that represents life. The mother told her son that she had bare, broken
stairs which could mean that she had a rough life which would have meant it was hard to get
money, she could ve had family issues or job problems. It seemed like the mother was saying
even of you are struggling, that doesn t mean it won t get better. In this poem, there are no rhymes
or similes which makes it almost a conversation like poem that is taking place in real life. There
are symbols such as stairs, whether you have broken ones or crystal

Group Interest In Joining A Sorority
Some of our group members are not interested in joining a sorority, which gave ethnocentric bias.
Since a few of us want nothing to do with this lifestyle, our ability to stay completely objective
and not include our own personal views was challenging. Conversely, some of our group
members were interested in joining SDT, which also lead to bias. Due to the different opinions
on Greek life, we believe both biases were able to counteract each other and help us remain as
objective as possible. Our informants were mostly from the same pledge class, meaning they
pledged the same semester. This could have influenced our research due to a similarity in age,
viewpoint, and experience in the sorority so far. Different observations would have been drawn

The Importance Of Police Officers
In recent years, law enforcement in America has been criticized for its use of excessive force.
While the abuse of power is not a new phenomenon, the rise of readily available cameras in the
pockets of the majority of citizens has lead to more of these instances being captured on video.
This has lead to an increasingly high level of distrust of law enforcement from the general public,
especially from minorities. Perhaps an issue generated from this distrust, many officers have been
accused of using excessive force; unfortunately, it s difficult to tell whether or not the allegations
are true or not. One debated solution to this issue is to require on duty policeofficers to wear body
cameras (body cams). These cameras would be mounted to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

So far, I have mentioned the benefits body cameras would give police officers, but the safety
these cameras bring law enforcement and the general public is a mutually beneficial. Since police
officers are aware that their actions are being filmed, it is within their best interest to behave
professionally. This would reduce police officers use of excessive violence since the likelihood of
being reprimanded for misconduct would increase as a result of the video evidence. In a study on
the effectiveness of police officer body cameras, Ariel et al. report a 93% before after reduction in
complaint incidence. However, the footage from body cams could carry other benefits.
In addition to increasing safety, body cameras provide material for training and evaluation. The
footage from body cameras could be used to train police officers, giving a visual demonstration on
what to do and what not to do. Furthermore, researchers at Washington State University are looking
into how to improve police training with the use of body cam footage (Aumen). These researchers
plan to use the camera data to design algorithms and new software in order to achieve more
objective and holistic descriptions of police community interactions (Aumen). This means that, in
the near future, footage from body cameras would be able to further improve the quality of police
officer training due to more advanced information collecting methods than are currently available.
On the other hand, body

Heroic Ignorance And Gothic Novels By Jane Austen
Heroic Ignorance and Gothic Novels
Jane Austen s novel, Northanger Abbey, seeks to explore the effect of wealth on society.
Throughout the novel, this portrayal of wealth assumes an increasingly critical tone, and is thus
used to suggest the negative impact of financial goals in a relationship. This is shown in the
contrast between Catherine s relationship with Mr. Tilney, and Isabella s promiscuous ways. In this
dynamic, Catherine remains pure, engaged to a poor clergyman, whereas her friend Isabella
ensnares men in the hopes of gaining wealth and societal status. Through this dynamic, Austen
provides an example of the British Romantic ideal that both love and the individual are only pure
and righteous when freed from the constraints of society and affluence. Ironically, the Gothic novels
that were prevalent in the later part of the British Romantic Period are frequently cited as a source
of misfortune throughout the novel. Catherine, who is portrayed as good and pure, is misled into
believing that the stories spun in Gothic novels are applicable to her own life. Her friend, Isabella,
is also portrayed as a lover of the genre, which is Austen s way of hinting at Isabella s future sins.
Although the Gothics influence both Catherine and Isabella, Austen portrays the characters as
opposites one the promiscuous villain and one the victim of the heroic tale. Austen continuously
comments on the nature of heroism, and thus mocks the timid Catherine while ironically branding
her a

DNA And Crime Scene Analysis
Each year about 33,000 crimes are solved by DNA database, therefore, showing that DNA has an
important element when determining and finding potential suspects who may have committed the
crime. DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is a substance that makes up an individual s genetic identity.
DNA is found in all organisms, but more the abundance of DNAis found in cells which include a
nucleus or nucleated cells ( preservation and collection of biological evidence ). Within a crime
scene detectives and officers can use common materials such as tissues, pillows, a bottle, and
more. When a detective finds cases in which DNA is present, they can take the samples back to
lab to extract and quantify the DNA to see if they can do further analysis on... Show more content

However, since hair is typically made up of the protein, Keratin, it is typically harder to extract
DNA from hair. In order to extract DNA from hair it is important to use the follicle of the hair.
DNA is easily found in the root and follicle of the hair because it is connected to the blood stream
(Heywood, 21 22). When attempting to extract the DNA from the hair, forensics attempt to
wash out all of the protein, therefore, the only thing left is the pure DNA sample. However,
there is not a 100% chance that protein will be washed out completely, meaning that there is a
chance that DNA could be contaminated, in other words the DNA would be hard to read and
find a yield. In addition, due to this fact the average success rate of yielding DNA from hair is
60 70% ( A Simple Method of Genomic DNA Extraction from Human Samples for PCR RFLP
Analysis ). However, unlike hair cells, cheek cells are much simpler to extract DNA from. This
is due to the fact that the tissue inside of your mouth, contains a lot of available DNA when the
area is shedded (Smith, 43). When the popsicle stick is rubbed along the tissue it allows for cells
to be shedded, therefore it is easy to obtain the cells, when one rinses saline buffer inside of the
mouth and spits back into a microcentrifuge tube (Smith,

Homeless Youth In The United States
Homeless Youth
When you look at a group of kids entering their elementary school, can you point out the kids that
are having trouble getting a meal every day, or the ones that are sleeping on a park bench at
night? Most people, when asked about homeless youth say that they didn t even know that was a
thing. Homeless youth is a major silent problem in the United States of America that the
government needs to address. Schools should have resources for students that are in need of
food, a place to sleep, or even clothes. There should be more resources for a student to use outside
of school as well. Schools and medical centers don t have a resource for young teens and children

Five Theories Of Natural Selection
Natural Selection, a key mechanism of evolution is the progressive process by which biological
traits either become more or less common in a community or population as a result of inherited
traits on different reproductive success of organisms with their environment. Charles Darwin in fact
put together an articulate theory of evolutionand supported it with a good amount of body evidence
in 1859 when he published his book. Natural selectionis too however a basic mechanism of
evolution like mutation, migration and genetic drift. In order for natural selection to work, Darwin
came up with 5 different theories that brought about evolution. The five theories are: evolution,
common descent, species multiply, gradualism, and natural selection itself. Evolution is when
species come and go through time, while they exist they change. Common descent is organisms are
descended from one, or several common ancestors and have diversified from this original stock.
Species multiply is the diversification of life involving populations of one species diverging until
they become two separate species; this has probably occurred billions of times on earth. Gradualism
is evolutionary change occurring through incremental small changes within populations; new
species are not created suddenly. Animals and plants of all sorts undergo changes through natural
selection. The peacock is a unique animal that stood out to me that undergoes natural selection.
There are different kinds of selection but

The Habits Of The Polar Bear
The polar bear is a large bear that lives in the north. They are the second largest bear in the bear
family, and they have a unique white fur that differentiates them from the rest of the bears. This
white fur is not only their unique characteristic, but also an amazing tool that God has given them
so that they can survive in the wild. In order to better understand polar bear, one must understand
their habits, their characteristics, and the dangers they are facing.
First of all it s a question that everyone has, what do they eat? Their diet depends on high fat
content in seal fat, this is one of the few stuff that can provide them enough calories to maintain
their survival and to pass down their genes. They usually eat seals. Ringed seals are eaten by the
females and little ones, and the males hunt the bearded seals, which are bigger than the ringed
seals. In the good times when they have access to much food, they may eat only the bladder and
the skin of the seal because that s the fattest part. However, when times are not that good, they
will also eat other stuff if it is available. They will hunt whales if they are trapped, they will also
accept small animals and any carcass within their reach. Unlike some bears, they don t have the
habit of storing food. After they finish eating, they will leave the rest of the body for scavengers.
Sometimes the scavengers might be other polar bears that failed their hunt. It is also very common
for them to share food. Once, a scientist

Move Of Wrestling Essay
So in wrestling there are multiple moves you can do. These moves are probably the most basic
moves you are taught and the most commonly used moves done today. The first move is the
double leg takedown. The double leg takedown is a flying tackle similar to a football tackle
(Douglas). For a double leg takedown there are a lot of little steps that you may need to execute
this move correctly. The first thing you need to do is perform a setup and then to perform a
penetration step. The next thing you are gonna wanna do is to place your head on either side of
your opponent. Next you are going to want to push your chest up against your opponent s thighs
and hips. The less space you have the better control you will have over your opponents strong...
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Typically, the lower part of the leg is pulled in one direction, while the torso or shoulder is used
to press the body or upper part of the leg of the opponent in the other direction. Another great
takedown is the duck under. In a duck under, the wrestler pulls the opponent s elbow forward and
away from the body, lowers his own head, and ducks under the opponent s arm in an effort to get
behind or at least beside the opponent; from this position the opponent can be taken down by
lifting and throwing or by a leg trip. Then for the best and most used move everyone uses in
wrestling, the half nelson. The half nelson is referred to by most coaches as being the easiest, but
most effective move in folkstyle wrestling (Wrestling Moves). It involves you using only one
hand, by passing it under the arm of the opponent and locking the hand on the opponent s neck.
Then you will run him over until his back is fully on the mat. Then you will want to get chest to
chest to make sure that he can t get out of it. You will hold it there until he is pinned or until you
get your nearfall points. So there are a lot of wrestling moves to know about, but in order to be
good at these moves, you must choose to eat healthy so you can execute these moves

Virtual Reality Edwards
As we continue to progress further into technological advances, we begin to become more
interactive with our technology. As this Is becoming the norm, for media to be more interactive,
new regulations come into question. This is particularly true for virtual reality games. Kate
Edwards wrote a response to whether virtual realityvideo games should be more regulated than
conventional video games for Congressional Quarterly Researcher in the February 26, 2016,

the issue comes from being the executive director of the International Game Developers

Edwards fails to provide any sort of numerical examples or specifics to support her position. She
simply states her point and moves on, only providing vague support to enhance her argument. To
improve her arguments, it would be beneficial to see timeline examples from how long it took
other of media like radio and television to become mainstream after their introduction. Also , to
increase the strength of her argument, the inclusion of a professional opinion from a developer
(HTC, Sony, Etc.) on how video games don t differ from virtual reality enough to constitute further
regulations. Edwards focuses most her article comparing the introduction of virtual reality to other
media types and their history. By focusing her argument on comparing media types, it seems she
hopes to convince the reader that it is alike any other technology and doesn t differ, thus not
needing further regulation. In doing this, she doesn t leave room for supporting details and specific
examples, leaving her with a rather weak argument . She also includes a paragraph on the liabilities
of new ideas, that seems to distract from her argument. She concludes her argument saying that
virtual reality is protected alike video games under the first amendment of free speech. Again, she is
straying from the point of her argument and filling with unsupported arguments . This is an
irreverent argument because while they are

Comparing Men And Women In Shakespeare s Othello
Women are looked over in Othello but end up being the downfall of their male counterparts; It
was Desdemona that was Othello s greatest weakness and Emilia was Iago s. This is alluding to
Shakespeare being incredibly progressive in a time where women were widely renowned as
objects of men. By analyzing and comparing aspects of both Emilia and Desdemonain the William
Shakespeare play OthelloThis is illustrated in Othello by comparing the difference in the opinions
between Emilia s and Desdemona s on taking and following orders from men, the double standard
between men and women when it comes to human impulses and urges, and how hard a fight they
will put up against a man. Emilia exhibits the traits of a modern feminist for her time.

Desdemona s faithfulness and pieces together Iago s role in the planting of the idea. Emilia calls
guards and screams at Othello, defending Desdemona. She continually insists Desdemona could
and would never have cheated on Othello and responds to Othello s accusation of Desdemona
being unfaithful by saying o, the more angle she, and you the blacker devil! (5.2.161). Emilia
not only draws on Desdemona s angelic presence, but also Othello s biggest insecurity; his
ethnicity. The action of her referring him to a blacker devil not only associates Othello with the
embodiment of all evil but also stripps him of his accomplishments by taking away his name and
only speaking to his skin color. Iago rushes into the chamber and in an argument between them,
kills Emilia because she exposed his role in the entire thing. Emilia s last dying wish was to die

Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from high concentration to low concentration through

Cohesion In Discourse Essay
It s the investigation of the relationship between form and function in verbal communication
(Renkema, 2004, p.1). According to Longman Dictionary, Discourse is a general term for examples
of language use, i.e. language which has been used as the result of an act of communication.
Discourse refers to larger units of language such as paragraphs, conversation, interviews, sermons,
speeches....etc. Discourse can be written or spoken. The study of how sentences in written and
spoken language form larger units such as paragraphs is discourse analysis(Longman dictionary,
p.147). What makes a sequence of sentences a discourse is cohesion (Renkema, 2004, p.49).

How Much Power and Liberty Did the Constitution Give to...
How much power and liberty did the constitution give to the people? The constitution is the
document that has framed and shaped the United States from inception. It is the document that is
defended by all new presidents and also the document which affords the citizens of the United
States freedoms and rights that cannot be removed. In its drafting it shaped the formation of a
new country and a new style of governance. It is a В‘bottom up as opposed to established ways of
government which are В‘top down . However for all its virtues the Constitution is somewhat
ambiguous and there is some debate of the intent of the drafters, did they intend to give as much
power or did they intend to give less power to the people? The Constitution... Show more content on

The Electoral College is devised as to proportion the votes to the population of the states. So the
number of electors for each state is the number of house representatives and senators combined.
Therefore New York currently has 31 House representatives and 2 senators, so it has 33 electors
for the Electoral College. When Americans are voting for a President they are actually voting for
a board of electors who then vote for the president. But these electors don t have to follow what
the majority of people in that state voted for; they can if they so wish vote for another candidate.
This has happened on some occasions in the 1948 presidential election one of Tennessee s
electors voted for J. Strom Thurmond instead of voting for Harry Truman. This shows a blatant
disregard for democratic principles, as the drafters of the constitution did not want a direct link
between voters and the presidency. They did not believe that ordinary people could make
sophisticated and intelligent decisions. It shows that they had a healthy interest in their own self
interest, perhaps following the maxim of Thomas Gordon Whatever is good for the people is bad
for their governors . In theory this could still happen in modern America, as the board of electors
do not have to follow what the voters say in the election. This shows to me an evident democratic
deficit. There is not just a deficit in Congress or in the Presidency, but also in the State legislatures
that is set

Persuasive Essay On Conversion Therapy
Conversion therapy, also known as reparative therapy, or Sexual Orientation Change Efforts
(SOCE) has a troubled history within the United States and abroad. Conversion therapy is the use
of a variety of means to attempt to change an individual s sexual or gender orientation. Current
practices include inducing vomiting or paralysis while showing a subject homoerotic images,
having a subject snap a rubber band on their wrist whenever they have certain thoughts, or using
tactics to create shame or aversion to same sex or transgender thoughts. Many established institutes
claim that the therapy does or doesn t work and offer contradicting evidence for their position. The
Movement Advancement Project, a group dedicated to providing research for the advancement of
LGBT people, states in an infographic that nine states, plus the District of Columbia and a handful
of municipalities have banned conversion therapyfrom being provided by licensed medical
professionals to minors ( Kids 1). Based on the established evidence and the overwhelming number
of psychologists and sociologist that disavow conversion therapy, along with the multitude of horror
stories from children who were persuaded, or forced, to participate by their parents, the federal
government should ban conversion therapy for all minors.
Despite the largely negative responses, many organizations support conversion therapy. Many

the price paid for the services of labor in the process of production and include only the

Machiavelli The Father Of Modern Political Thought Summary

Machiavelli The Father of Modern Political Thought
There are many reasons why Machiavelli is widely considered the beginner of modern political
thought, one of the many is he studied strictly the politicians, and businessmen. Machiavelli
recognized the political playing field as a vile place only for the most dominating and cunning of
political giants. One of Machiavelli s most famous work, On Principalities, or known by the other
title, The Prince, absolutely announced a break with previous political beliefs secured between
moral and religion system, it examines the nature of his views on power that are still somewhat
in existent today. Machiavelli discusses in this work power over the people, oppressive power,
and shared power. Machiavelli discusses two specific groups of people such as the political elite
and the general public within this work.
While Machiavelli highlighted power over in relations between the political elite, he examines a
different kind of power in the affiliation between a prince and his public. Machiavelli noted that
he can share his power with his people, since he can trust his people more than he can the nobles.
The nobles cannot be satisfied if their ruler acts honorably, because their desires are more ethical
than the nobles are. The people are more forgiving and less greedy so he can place more trust in
his people and empower his trusting public.
Though the public may be more trustworthy Machiavelli also stated that a prince needed to be harsh
in the treatment of both the mixed sectors and the new sectors to avoid rebellions, the prince must
be harsh and cautious. It is easier for a prince to hold control after he has already stopped a
rebellion by empowering his power. Once the prince takes control of the city, he cannot forget it,
for his control can be easily lost.
Without order within his own court let alone his public, the prince would soon fall and possible
lose his control over everything. More or less how the prince started at the bottom and slowly made
his way to becoming a great king or he died at the feet of his people or someone of higher power

One hypothesis is that since it is so easy to transmit to animals this may be why so many people
have gotten BU.
Even though BU has been reported in 33 countries there are only 15 that have been documented as
having a significant amount of cases. In those 15 countries there have been between 5,000 6,000
reported/documented cases of BU (Mycobacterium, www.who.int). Most patients, with this
disease, are younger than 15 years old (Buruli Ulcer, Nigeria). In Benin over half of the BU
patients are children.
There are so many poor families in Benin, and that makes it hard for them to take their children
to hospitals, which is why a lot of the patients that go to the hospitals have already had the disease
for 2 4 months (Small). If the patient was caught in the early stages of the disease then about 80%
of those patients could be cured by a combination of antibiotics (Mycobacterium, www.who.int).

Although he is a famous author and playwright, his early history is actually a cloudy mystery.

I Know About Breeding A Dog Essay
In 2015 for christmas I had recieved a female Australian Shepherd puppy. She is a blue merle with
brown eyes. When I first got her I loved her and couldn t wait for her to be old and have puppies of
her own. What I didn t understand is how difficult of a process it was to get a dog bred. I didn t
know the first thing about breeding a dog. However if I wanted my dog to have puppies then I
needed to learn about it.
I know that a dog comes in heat roughly every six months. I know it is during that time period
the they would get bred. Some things I have heard from my family was that a bitch has to be bred
at certain times. They will only stand and allow breeding a certain numbers of days. I have no
knowledge of when that takes place. I know that a bitch s cycle can last for weeks. The only way I
would know when my dog needs bred is to put her in with a male and see if she allows him to
breed her.
When you don t have a male dog that is hard to do. Picking a male for her is a hard task. When
breeding Australian Shepherd you have to be cautious about which types are bred. I know that
you should not breed a merle to a merle because it cause defects. I am not for sure why this happens
so picking a dog needs to be done carefully.
Section II
When researching my question the first thing that needs to be looked up is a partner. I first looked
up the proper partner for a blue merle. Australian Shepherds can only be breed between certain
type. If the wrong ones are bred it can

Examples Of Foolishness In The Odyssey
In Homer s epic poem The Odyssey, the protagonist Odysseus is a mixture of twists and turns.
Undoubtedly, he displays tremendous cleverness. In fact, his unmatched shrewdness often results in

conclusions about the protagonist. In fact, categorizing acts of courage and foolishness is a
difficult task in The Odyssey. Odysseusadventures reveal a multifaceted character comprised of
wisdom and foolishness.
At the beginning of the poem, the goddess Athena encourages Zeus, the king of the gods, to
offer Odysseus special treatment. Zeus is more than amenable to reward Odysseus cleverness
and commitment. After all, Odysseus did design the Trojan horse plan that led to the Greeks
victory. The triumph was the precursor to all of the happenings of The Odyssey and a clear
example of unconventional intelligence. Another illustration of his resourcefulness is his strategy
to pierce Polyphemus eye while he is sleeping. Upon arousal the one eyed monster asks who
stabbed him and Odysseus replies cunningly that it is he or Nobody that did the evil deed.

This paper is attempting to look at the deeper financial and policy issues in which the country
Ukraine faced during their financial crisis in 2008 09. The Ukraine faced a lot of economical and
political challenges in recent years, in which their economy has plummeted drastically. Economic
measurements such as GDP, unemployment, and average household incomes all were impacted in
a negative way. Other factors, such as the Russian gas line, forced Ukrainian businesses to cut back

2. Russian Gas Line The reason why the crisis started, however, was how the Ukraine economy
was set up in the first place. Their economy was heavily tied with their politics. Focusing on
more so what happened in the country rather than why it happened leads us to see that Russia
recently cut off the gas line between the two countries. (BBC, 2014) This was an important
resource, not only for the Ukrainian people, but also for many Ukrainian businesses. Ukraine s
economy relies heavily on Shipbuilding, steel and arms. However, because many industries are
so energy inefficient, they are highly dependent on imports of Russian gas, which have been

Is Hamlet Angry With His Father s Father
From Uncle to Stepfather From Mother to Auntie
In the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare, the main character is angry and expressed his anger
through the medium of allusion. An allusion refers to a mythological person, place, or thing. Many
things around the city of Denmark are changing for the worse. Hamlet is angry with his mother
because he fills betrayed that she would merry another man after two months of his father s

How Does Michael Moore Use Ethos In Bowling For Columbine
While viewing Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore about gun control he argues that gun
violence in America is massive and it can be helped with stricter gun control laws and changes to
laws and policies. He builds his argument through the uses of pathos, logos, and explanation of
the evidence. Moore used pathos to address his audience directly and appeal to them more
emotionally. Throughout the film, he often shows videos, images, or sounds that evoke sympathy
from the viewer. Moore conclusively demonstrates pathos when he says To American living

by using more videos, sad music, or even talking to the people that this massacre affected. In order

In 2011, there was a total of 1,691 tornadoes reported across the country; making 2011 an unusual
active and deadly year for tornadoes across the U.S. Based on National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA), 2011 tornado statistics broke the record for greatest number of
tornadoes in a single month in April 2011 with a total number of 758 tornadoes and the greatest
daily total of 200. The outbreak of the tornadoes caused 360 people to be killed during the entire
month of April 2011.
Even though the tornado forecast method has been significantly improved, it did not stop the
incredible outbreaks of tornadoes that happened. In May 2011, it was U.S history worst tornado
outbreaks in six decades that claimed more than 500 lives and was responsible for $10.8 billion in
total damage. Due to an unbalance in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Meteorologists often rely on massive computers program called numerical weather prediction
models to help them decide if the condition will be right for the development of tornadoes. The
computer forecast models are designed to calculate the atmosphere at a certain point over a large
area, from Earth s surface to the top of the atmosphere. This weather data forecast by the numerical
computer program will give meteorologist a lead time that can be announced to the affected
neighborhood.
The length of time between issuing a forecast and the actual event occurring, due to the prediction
of that event occurring is the lead time. Such forecast may predict the timing of a squall line while
also taking account into changes in the environmental conditions with which the storm may interact.
However, there is a different range of forecasts such as short range forecasts, medium range
forecasts, extended range forecast, and monthly and longer range forecast that predicts different
lead time ranging from approximately twelve hours to two

The Avant В¬в‰ Garde Cinema Community Essay
During the 1960s, the AvantВGarde cinema community began to see the emergence of an
Underground camp cinema that was intrigued with the concept of homosexuality, the normative
constructs of society and how the two coВexisted. J. Hoberman and Jonathan Rosenbuam believed
this new transformative cinema arose from a need to defragment the official cinematic senses
(Hoberman, p. 39). In turn, creating new ideas and concepts to be explored. During this time period,
queer/homosexual directors like Jack Smith, Kenneth Anger, and Andy Warhol created pictures like
Flaming Creatures, Scorp io Rising, and Blowjob. These films addressed the relationship of
heteronormative constructs to homosexualityin new ways via the use of unconventional methods,
including over the top acting, the incorporation of pop icons, androgyny, minimalist framing and
intense focus. Sus an Sontag who wrote, Notes on Camp which said these films arose from a need
to express and address the feelings of the marginalized (Sontag, p. 278). During this time the
homosexual community was marginalized making them the perfect subjects for these films. By
casting them as subjects in these films, viewers are allowed to see what it meant to be homosexual
during this time period. These films produced the creation of queerness and gave those who
associated themselves with being a queer theorywe see in the 1990s emerges.
Much like the queer theory, underground cinema rose out of a need to address the normative form

Why Do People Like To Show Their Dogs
here are many reasons why people like to show their dogs and it is a rewarding practice for
individuals and kennels alike. You might like to enter your dog for obedience trials because he
enjoys it and you are proud of him; you might like the competition element of shows or it may be
that you just like to be around fellow dogowners, comparing your dogs. There are two main
categories of shows: a) Pedigree dog shows requiring you to demonstrate that your dog matches
the breed standards set by the kennel club in which your dog is registered and b) All dog trial
and events, irrespective of breed, registration or heritage where your dog will be judged solely on
his ability to perform the activity for which he is entered.

Countries such as the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia have kennel clubs which organize
events locally, nationally and internationally. Only pedigrees can be registered in these clubs and
participate in the shows. No crossbreeds are allowed. Kennel clubs outside of the USA place
various breeds in different categories but none of them will recognize crossbreeds or dogs that do
not have proper registration papers.
Make sure that you know the standards set for your breed by the kennel club where your dog is
registered. Read as much as you can about their standards because if you get it wrong, you may be
disqualified from entering or participating in the show.
Visit as many shows and events as you can and observe the adjudicators or judges. Note down
anything the judges say about competitors at the time they have made their selections of winners.
If you know what the judges like you can take special care to train your dog so that he will please
the judges. Naturally judges are bound to make their decision based on the standards that have been
set by a kennel club, but each judge will place their own interpretation on those

Four Arguments In Favor Of Ethical Egoism
Discuss the four arguments in favor of ethical egoism.
Ethical egoism is a theory about how we should act in a way that is beneficial to ourselves.
1. The Argument from Strict Psychological Egoism
Strict Psychological Egoism states, If I am psychologically programmed to act only in my own best
interest, then I can never be obligated to perform altruistic (that is, selfless) acts toward others
(Pojman pg.98). Strict Psychological Egoism states that all people always do what they believe is
best for themselves that people are not capable of selfless acts. It tries to let people off the hook
for this behavior by giving them the excuse that if you cannot then you are not obligated.
2. Hobbes s Argument from Predominant Psychological Egoism ... Show more content on

However, since man realizes that life could be easier working in a group so chaos had to be
controlled. The best way to control was to make up a moral code that all must follow. Hobbes puts
forth the idea that not doing something that might make us happy right away, if it helped ensure a
better reward later
3. Smith s Economic Argument
Smith s theory is based on economics and what is good for free market is individuals who are
motivated for their own self interests because that in turn creates competition for everyone to do
their best work, make the best product, sell it for the best price. All of this creates a ripple of
social benefit that would never have happened if we were not
4. Rand s Argument for the Virtue of Selfishness
Each person has only one life to live. If we value the individual, then we must agree that this life
is of supreme importance. After all, it is all one has, and all one is. The idea that people not
pursue happiness is morally wrong. Altruism is a trick and it leads people to believe that their own
lives are not as important as another s is, she is promoting selfish as a virtue not self interest and
those are two entirely different things. Which of these is the most compelling, and

Problem: Mr. Nakamura must decide on what action plans to pursue for the rest of the year (i.e., the
Value Creation 21 and the 5 emergency measures)
Learning from Morishita s experiences, Mr. Nakamura should consider the following Critical
Factors:
1.Full cooperation of senior management in the implementation of the plan. Mr. Nakamura s plan
will fail if he never got the full cooperation of the whole management team of MEI. To get the
cooperation, he must be able to get management to fully understand and believe in the principles of
his plans, as the senior management team will serve as the implementers of the plan. They will also
be the one who will drive the employees to the direction that they want to go. With management ...

Also, this option provides answers for the short term results only. MEI will still be plagued by the
underlying inefficiencies in its system.
Option 2 Chosen Option: Mr. Nakamura pursues Value Creation 21 concurrently with the
implementation of 5 emergency measures. The good side of this option is that there is
continuity, as Mr. Nakamura will not show as fickle minded by suddenly changing his strategy.
Also, I believe that the Value Creation 21 (VC21) strategic plan of being customer focused
company will help increase the quality of its products as quality should both be based on
technical aspects of products and perception of the consumers. The VC21 provides an answer to
this issue where the sales and marketing department have a say on a product s design/features
/quality, delivery and price (a dependent variable of productivity). The sales and marketing
personnel are the ones who know the consumers better and would know their needs and wants.
Feedback from them is of utmost importance. The VC21 also had a good start with good results.
This would mean that the employees have seen the improvement and will most likely pursue the
plan. The 5 emergency measures that Mr. Nakamura came up with to react on the negative effects
of the failed attempt on the conversion of the manufacturing system. It s a reaction to save the
profits of the company, which will show good results to both investors and company members.

Tenochtitlan Influence On The Aztecs
Kaavye Lal
Period 4 In Northern Mexico, a group of people known as the Aztecs arrived and became the
dominant tribe in the region. Since the 13th century the Aztecs developed their capital city of
Tenochtitlan as well as controlled their capital city of Tenochtitlan and their rival s city states.
However in the 16th century invaders from Spain led by conquistador, Hernan Cortez, put an end to
the Aztecs after taking Tenochtitlan ( Beyond Human Sacrifice , 2002; Montezuma, II , 1998).
Though the Aztec s civilization crumbled, much of their art remains to tell stories of their religion
and rituals that they practiced. Their art included statues of gods, ceremonial clothing, and
illustrations depicting a warrior society built upon human sacrifice. ... Show more content on

The reason is that much of what the Aztec s created displays the brutal is acts they did on their
enemies. In museums exhibits that show Aztec work often have illustrations of them using
prisoners of war for their bloodletting ceremonies, battles with other tribes, and wearing the skin
of their victims ( Terrible Beauty , 2002). Also the weapons that they use such as daggers with
serrated edges and bows. This gives people the idea that the Aztecs were obsessed with death,
but the Aztecs practiced agriculture as well and other works of art they created represent gods
that controlled wind, the sun, and rain ( Beyond Human Sacrifice , 2002). So the Aztecs were
more well rounded they cared for war as much as they cared for the state of their people s food and

How Do MLS Players Get Big
Soccer is one of the biggest sports in the World, even though the US is just starting to play, it has
been very popular. This essay is going to talk about MLS soccer and how it got so big. It will
answer questions like the history of MLS, where MLS players come from, and MLS specific
stadiums. The history of MLS is very interesting for lots of reasons. The history of MLS began in
1988, when the USSF (United StatesSoccer Federation) pledged to create a professional soccer
league. For the 1994 FIFA WOrldCup. It was officially formed in 1995. When the league first
started to play in 1996 they started with 10 teams. Instead of operating as an association of
independently owned teams, MLS teams are owned and controlled by the league s investors. The
investor/operators control their teams as owners control teams in other leagues, and are
commonly (but inaccurately) referred to as the team s owners. The league has a fixed
membership, like most sports leagues in the United States and Canada, which makes it one of the
world s few soccer leagues that does not use promotion and relegation. Two years later it grew to
12 teams. In the beginning MLS... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A little over 50% of the players on current come from outside the US of A. 46% of players were

The NFL only has 25. Studies show what many in American soccer circles already know: Texas
and Southern California are the country s two most vibrant soccer regions. Of players born in the
United States, a significant concentration of them come from those two areas. But compared to the
NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB barely anyone comes from Southern California and Texas. The most
countries (besides the United States) that produce the most MLS players are Canada (28),
Argentina (24), England (22), and Ghana. More than 60 countries have produced MLS players.
Clearly, in the MLS there are a lot of

Roger Chillingworth Scarlet Letter Quotes
Scarlet Letter is a popular Anti Transcendentalist novel written by Nathaniel Hawthorne in 1850.
The antagonist of the Scarlet Letter, Roger Chillingworth, pursues revenge and vengeance upon
the man who stole his wife. Roger is torn apart by his obsession with revenge and hatred, and is
seen as the false hero of the Scarlet Letter. Chillingworth is ultimately mentally destroyed
throughout the novel. Roger Chillingworth s appearance displays his dark, revengeful character.
When Roger is introduced, the reader can use sagacity to identify that Chillingworth is an evil, dark
character. An early description of Chillingworth follows: Again, at the first instant of perceiving
that thin visage, and the slight deformity of the figure. (Hawthorn 8) Chillingworth s deformity
here symbolizes his lack of compassion. Later in the novel, Chillingworth is... Show more content

At his arrival in the marketplace,...very soon, however, his look became keen and penetrative.

look at people with a look of keen and penetration. In chapter three, Chillingworth speaks to
Dimmesdale non venerably. Must it be thou; or I, that shall deal with this poor sinner s soul.
(Hawthorne 11) When Chillingworth says he s going to deal with his soul, Chillingworth suggests
that he s going to seek his revenge upon him. Later in the chapter, we see Chillingworth get even
more vengeful. Live, therefore, and bear about thy doom with thee, in the eyes of men and women
in the eyes of him whom than didst call thy husband. (Hawthorne 16) Again, we see Chillingworth
s desire to seek his revenge upon Dimmesdale. Chillingworth is a man of great vengeance, and this
is clearly noted in the Scarlet

Hamlet s Weaknesses
Hamlet is one of the most complex characters in literature. He changes a lot throughout the story.
His mental state is what really leads to his death and the death of the King, Queen, and Laertes.
Hamlet has a couple weaknesses throughout the story. His first weakness or flaw would be in the
very beginning where he seems crazy in love with Ophelia. Polonius asks Ophelia, talking about
Hamlet Is he crazy with love for you? Ophelia replys I m not sure, but I m afraid he might be
(Hamlet, 83). Polonius is Ophelia s father and he says he has seen many girls fall for Hamlet s
tricks and they all end up with a broken heart. He was warning his daughter to stay away from
Hamlet and to send all of letters back and not give him the time of day. This is when Hamlet
started acting crazy towards Ophelia and his main weakness in this part was love. ... Show more

One good example of this weakness would be in act 3 scene 2 when Hamlet has characters
perform the play called Mousetrap . The play was altered by Hamlet to reenact how Claudius
murdered Hamlet s father. Lucianus pours the poison into the sleeping king s ear (Hamlet, 173) .
At this point Claudius realizes that the whole play was intended to reenact what had happened in
real life and he begins to get very upset and stops the play. The reason this shows the weakness of
Hamlet is because Claudius has Hamlet arranged to be killed as soon as he is sailed off to another
area. Claudius could not put the heavy law down on Hamlet because everyone in Denmark loved
him so much. Hamlet should have thought this whole thing through a little more and realized that
by doing this play, Claudius would get upset and have to do something to stop everyone from
finding out the truth. If Hamlet spent more time thinking about the outcome he probably would
have chosen a different way of approaching this

And Then There Were None Mystery
What would you do if you were lured to an island by someone claiming to be an old friend, or
sent to complete a job? One by one someone is murdered. The murderer is one of the ten people
among you, and as one person dies that s one less person who is guilty. Would you be the person
who takes charge? The one who goes insane? Or would you lie low and hope noone notices you?
In the book And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
, the main mystery elements used were:
main conflict, setting, characterization, and the author s techniques of giving clues.
The main conflict in the story is person versus person, or the murders of the ten people who
were apparently murdered because they were guilty of a crime themselves. Everyone is killed in
a certain way, by the lyrics of a nursery rhyme hung in their bedrooms. (31). On the centerpiece of
the dining table there are ten indian boys, everyone thought it was very clever since the name of
the island they were staying on was Indian Island. That was until they realized each indian boy
represented one of them and as one person died one indian boy was taken off the centerpiece. (74)

  • 4. The American Revolutionary War Between America And Britain A guerrilla is any radical who utilizes a weapon of any kind and does the real battling for the insurrection. They may direct demonstrations of dread, guerrilla fighting, criminal exercises, or customary operations. They are regularly mixed up for the development or insurrection itself; however they are only the troopers of the development or revolt. Guerrillas fluctuate broadly in size, make‑up, strategies, and routines starting with one insurrection then onto the next. They even fluctuate broadly inside of an uprising, particularly in each of the three periods of a rebellion. The American Revolutionary Waroccurred from April 19, 1775 and ended on September 3, 1783. This war was an aftereffect of governmental issues; Americans had imagined that the Stamp Act of 1765 had been illegal. Then again, the British asserted that they had the privilege to impose the individuals with taxes. What numerous individuals believe is that it had been a war in the middle of America and Britain. Despite the fact that this is incompletely genuine, numerous individuals don t know or perceive the way that the war had developed and France, the Netherlands and Spain had taken America s side and joined the war. At an opportune time the United States had chosen to utilize guerilla or unpredictable fighting. Americans had favorable position as in British were battling on new domain and had no local source of manpower or food. By 1783 a great many individuals on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The National Action Party As A Federal Republic Based On... The official name of Mexico is Mexican United States. Mexico is primarily a federal republic based on presidential democracy.* It is a country with solid and independent executive, legislative, and judicial branches. The president of Mexico is selected by plurality vote, meaning the winner receives the most votes but not necessarily more than half of the votes. This president serves a term of six years; however, unlike most Latin American countries, there is no second term available. There are three main political parties that are seen throughout Mexico. The first is the National Action Party, or PAN (Partido Accion Nacional). The National Action Party is a conservative liberal party that is seen as one with close ties to the Roman Catholic Church. Generally, PAN supports minimal government intervention in the economy. The National Action Party was founded in 1939, mainly consisting of support from the northern parts of the country entailing the urban middle class. PAN represents the interests of business and of the Roman Catholic Church. PAN was the main opposition party to the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) for six decades after being founded, until the late 1980s where it fared poorly at all levels. Another political party in Mexico is the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional). The Institutional Revolutionary Party represented the institutionalization of the new power structure that emerged after 1920 as result ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Mother To Son By Langston Hughes Analysis Mother To Son by Langston Hughes The poem I chose is called Mother to Son by Langston Hughes which describes her life as no crystal stair . The poem begins with the mother telling her son about her life and how it was no crystal stair ( 1). She then goes on to tell him how her stairs were broken, bare, and torn up, but they still take her somewhere and that they were still climbing. The mother tells the son So boy, don t you turn back. Don t you set down on the steps. Cause you finds its kinder hard. Don t you fall now For I se still goin , honey, I se still climbin (14 19). While reading this poem I noticed how the speaker, the mother, had a determined attitude about not stopping and climbing. Since she is talking to her son, she wants him to succeed and although he may not have come from wealth and prosperity, that does not mean that he has to fail. In the poem, it seems like the speaker is wise and knows that even if someone has disadvantages and struggles, it does not mean that they can t have a future. The tone changes when the mother tells her son how she has not had a good life or no crystal stair to that even though she doesn t have good stairs, doesn t mean she can t move forward and climb. ... Since a few of us want nothing to do with this lifestyle, our ability to stay completely objective and not include our own personal views was challenging. Conversely, some of our group members were interested in joining SDT, which also lead to bias. Due to the different opinions on Greek life, we believe both biases were able to counteract each other and help us remain as objective as possible. Our informants were mostly from the same pledge class, meaning they pledged the same semester. This could have influenced our research due to a similarity in age, viewpoint, and experience in the sorority so far. Different observations would have been drawn ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Importance Of Police Officers In recent years, law enforcement in America has been criticized for its use of excessive force. While the abuse of power is not a new phenomenon, the rise of readily available cameras in the pockets of the majority of citizens has lead to more of these instances being captured on video. This has lead to an increasingly high level of distrust of law enforcement from the general public, especially from minorities. Perhaps an issue generated from this distrust, many officers have been accused of using excessive force; unfortunately, it s difficult to tell whether or not the allegations are true or not. One debated solution to this issue is to require on duty policeofficers to wear body cameras (body cams). These cameras would be mounted to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So far, I have mentioned the benefits body cameras would give police officers, but the safety these cameras bring law enforcement and the general public is a mutually beneficial. Since police officers are aware that their actions are being filmed, it is within their best interest to behave professionally. This would reduce police officers use of excessive violence since the likelihood of being reprimanded for misconduct would increase as a result of the video evidence. In a study on the effectiveness of police officer body cameras, Ariel et al. report a 93% before after reduction in complaint incidence. However, the footage from body cams could carry other benefits. In addition to increasing safety, body cameras provide material for training and evaluation. The footage from body cameras could be used to train police officers, giving a visual demonstration on what to do and what not to do. Furthermore, researchers at Washington State University are looking into how to improve police training with the use of body cam footage (Aumen). These researchers plan to use the camera data to design algorithms and new software in order to achieve more objective and holistic descriptions of police community interactions (Aumen). This means that, in the near future, footage from body cameras would be able to further improve the quality of police officer training due to more advanced information collecting methods than are currently available. On the other hand, body ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Heroic Ignorance And Gothic Novels By Jane Austen Heroic Ignorance and Gothic Novels Jane Austen s novel, Northanger Abbey, seeks to explore the effect of wealth on society. Throughout the novel, this portrayal of wealth assumes an increasingly critical tone, and is thus used to suggest the negative impact of financial goals in a relationship. This is shown in the contrast between Catherine s relationship with Mr. Tilney, and Isabella s promiscuous ways. In this dynamic, Catherine remains pure, engaged to a poor clergyman, whereas her friend Isabella ensnares men in the hopes of gaining wealth and societal status. Through this dynamic, Austen provides an example of the British Romantic ideal that both love and the individual are only pure and righteous when freed from the constraints of society and affluence. Ironically, the Gothic novels that were prevalent in the later part of the British Romantic Period are frequently cited as a source of misfortune throughout the novel. Catherine, who is portrayed as good and pure, is misled into believing that the stories spun in Gothic novels are applicable to her own life. Her friend, Isabella, is also portrayed as a lover of the genre, which is Austen s way of hinting at Isabella s future sins. Although the Gothics influence both Catherine and Isabella, Austen portrays the characters as opposites one the promiscuous villain and one the victim of the heroic tale. Austen continuously comments on the nature of heroism, and thus mocks the timid Catherine while ironically branding her a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. DNA And Crime Scene Analysis Each year about 33,000 crimes are solved by DNA database, therefore, showing that DNA has an important element when determining and finding potential suspects who may have committed the crime. DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is a substance that makes up an individual s genetic identity. DNA is found in all organisms, but more the abundance of DNAis found in cells which include a nucleus or nucleated cells ( preservation and collection of biological evidence ). Within a crime scene detectives and officers can use common materials such as tissues, pillows, a bottle, and more. When a detective finds cases in which DNA is present, they can take the samples back to lab to extract and quantify the DNA to see if they can do further analysis on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, since hair is typically made up of the protein, Keratin, it is typically harder to extract DNA from hair. In order to extract DNA from hair it is important to use the follicle of the hair. DNA is easily found in the root and follicle of the hair because it is connected to the blood stream (Heywood, 21 22). When attempting to extract the DNA from the hair, forensics attempt to wash out all of the protein, therefore, the only thing left is the pure DNA sample. However, there is not a 100% chance that protein will be washed out completely, meaning that there is a chance that DNA could be contaminated, in other words the DNA would be hard to read and find a yield. In addition, due to this fact the average success rate of yielding DNA from hair is 60 70% ( A Simple Method of Genomic DNA Extraction from Human Samples for PCR RFLP Analysis ). However, unlike hair cells, cheek cells are much simpler to extract DNA from. This is due to the fact that the tissue inside of your mouth, contains a lot of available DNA when the area is shedded (Smith, 43). When the popsicle stick is rubbed along the tissue it allows for cells to be shedded, therefore it is easy to obtain the cells, when one rinses saline buffer inside of the mouth and spits back into a microcentrifuge tube (Smith, ... Most people, when asked about homeless youth say that they didn t even know that was a thing. Homeless youth is a major silent problem in the United States of America that the government needs to address. • 13. Five Theories Of Natural Selection Natural Selection, a key mechanism of evolution is the progressive process by which biological traits either become more or less common in a community or population as a result of inherited traits on different reproductive success of organisms with their environment. Charles Darwin in fact put together an articulate theory of evolutionand supported it with a good amount of body evidence in 1859 when he published his book. Natural selectionis too however a basic mechanism of evolution like mutation, migration and genetic drift. In order for natural selection to work, Darwin came up with 5 different theories that brought about evolution. The five theories are: evolution, common descent, species multiply, gradualism, and natural selection itself. Evolution is when species come and go through time, while they exist they change. Common descent is organisms are descended from one, or several common ancestors and have diversified from this original stock. Species multiply is the diversification of life involving populations of one species diverging until they become two separate species; this has probably occurred billions of times on earth. Gradualism is evolutionary change occurring through incremental small changes within populations; new species are not created suddenly. Animals and plants of all sorts undergo changes through natural selection. The peacock is a unique animal that stood out to me that undergoes natural selection. • 14. The Habits Of The Polar Bear The polar bear is a large bear that lives in the north. They are the second largest bear in the bear family, and they have a unique white fur that differentiates them from the rest of the bears. This white fur is not only their unique characteristic, but also an amazing tool that God has given them so that they can survive in the wild. In order to better understand polar bear, one must understand their habits, their characteristics, and the dangers they are facing. First of all it s a question that everyone has, what do they eat? Their diet depends on high fat content in seal fat, this is one of the few stuff that can provide them enough calories to maintain their survival and to pass down their genes. They usually eat seals. Ringed seals are eaten by the females and little ones, and the males hunt the bearded seals, which are bigger than the ringed seals. In the good times when they have access to much food, they may eat only the bladder and the skin of the seal because that s the fattest part. However, when times are not that good, they will also eat other stuff if it is available. They will hunt whales if they are trapped, they will also accept small animals and any carcass within their reach. Unlike some bears, they don t have the habit of storing food. After they finish eating, they will leave the rest of the body for scavengers. Sometimes the scavengers might be other polar bears that failed their hunt. It is also very common for them to share food. Once, a scientist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Move Of Wrestling Essay So in wrestling there are multiple moves you can do. These moves are probably the most basic moves you are taught and the most commonly used moves done today. The first move is the double leg takedown. The double leg takedown is a flying tackle similar to a football tackle (Douglas). For a double leg takedown there are a lot of little steps that you may need to execute this move correctly. The first thing you need to do is perform a setup and then to perform a penetration step. The next thing you are gonna wanna do is to place your head on either side of your opponent. Next you are going to want to push your chest up against your opponent s thighs and hips. The less space you have the better control you will have over your opponents strong... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Typically, the lower part of the leg is pulled in one direction, while the torso or shoulder is used to press the body or upper part of the leg of the opponent in the other direction. Another great takedown is the duck under. In a duck under, the wrestler pulls the opponent s elbow forward and away from the body, lowers his own head, and ducks under the opponent s arm in an effort to get behind or at least beside the opponent; from this position the opponent can be taken down by lifting and throwing or by a leg trip. Then for the best and most used move everyone uses in wrestling, the half nelson. The half nelson is referred to by most coaches as being the easiest, but most effective move in folkstyle wrestling (Wrestling Moves). It involves you using only one hand, by passing it under the arm of the opponent and locking the hand on the opponent s neck. Then you will run him over until his back is fully on the mat. Then you will want to get chest to chest to make sure that he can t get out of it. You will hold it there until he is pinned or until you get your nearfall points. So there are a lot of wrestling moves to know about, but in order to be good at these moves, you must choose to eat healthy so you can execute these moves ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When Americans are voting for a President they are actually voting for a board of electors who then vote for the president. This has happened on some occasions in the 1948 presidential election one of Tennessee s electors voted for J. Strom Thurmond instead of voting for Harry Truman. This shows a blatant disregard for democratic principles, as the drafters of the constitution did not want a direct link between voters and the presidency. Lazarus HIS 102 W1: Western Civilization II 10/25/2017 Machiavelli The Father of Modern Political Thought There are many reasons why Machiavelli is widely considered the beginner of modern political thought, one of the many is he studied strictly the politicians, and businessmen. Machiavelli recognized the political playing field as a vile place only for the most dominating and cunning of political giants. One of Machiavelli s most famous work, On Principalities, or known by the other title, The Prince, absolutely announced a break with previous political beliefs secured between moral and religion system, it examines the nature of his views on power that are still somewhat in existent today. Machiavelli discusses in this work power over the people, oppressive power, and shared power. Machiavelli discusses two specific groups of people such as the political elite and the general public within this work. While Machiavelli highlighted power over in relations between the political elite, he examines a different kind of power in the affiliation between a prince and his public. Machiavelli noted that he can share his power with his people, since he can trust his people more than he can the nobles. The nobles cannot be satisfied if their ruler acts honorably, because their desires are more ethical than the nobles are. The people are more forgiving and less greedy so he can place more trust in his people and empower his trusting public. Though the public may be more trustworthy Machiavelli also stated that a prince needed to be harsh in the treatment of both the mixed sectors and the new sectors to avoid rebellions, the prince must be harsh and cautious. It is easier for a prince to hold control after he has already stopped a rebellion by empowering his power. Once the prince takes control of the city, he cannot forget it, for his control can be easily lost. Without order within his own court let alone his public, the prince would soon fall and possible lose his control over everything. Ethical egoism is a theory about how we should act in a way that is beneficial to ourselves. 1. The Argument from Strict Psychological Egoism Strict Psychological Egoism states, If I am psychologically programmed to act only in my own best interest, then I can never be obligated to perform altruistic (that is, selfless) acts toward others (Pojman pg.98). Strict Psychological Egoism states that all people always do what they believe is best for themselves that people are not capable of selfless acts.
