Is Dance A Sport Essay
Is dance a sport? Many people right now are thinking How is the harlem shake or the cupid
shuffle a sport? , but that is not what we are talking about, we are talking about dance sports and
teams. But Sport is in the name DANCESPORT is what some are saying now, but many still don t
accept this kind of danceas a sportyet. There are two sides to this argument, those who are for
dance as a sport are usually those who are in a dance sport or are educated in the subject. While
those who are against it as a sport tend to not be part of a dance sport or just don t know what
they are truly talking about. So why don t we delve into this argument. Let s start with the
definition of a sport. Oxford defines a sport like this an activity that... Show more content on

the point where they result to insulting those for it to make up for their lack of evidence and facts.
Even when someone does have facts against Dancesports, those for it come up with evidence to go
against it. This argument is pointless and is being dragged out too long, by those who are

Savanna s Kiss Alternate Ending
Savanna s kiss was exciting, not only because of the passion which she was putting into it, but
because of who she was. Ben had never been with a stranger, at least not with someone she had just
met that day. And the feeling of going into the unkown, combined with the sense of being doing
something perhaps inmoral, was exciting and stirred him inside completely.
I never said I wanted to have sex, but if that s what you re looking for, we ll see what we can do,
Ben shrugged and smiled, with a little chuckle. Of course he wanted sex, but he was just happy
that she was that much into him, and he enjoyed teasing and taking advantage of that fact. I don t
think you ll disappoint me. Actually, you didn t disappoint me in your office, I was just probably
not in the mood for being kind. Sorry, he said. And he meant it. He placed one last soft kisson her
lips, this one was just kind and caring, trying to show that he was not the grumpy man she had met
in her clinic. At least not that night. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Microeconomics And The Laws Of Supply And Demand Essay
Microeconomics and the Laws of Supply and Demand Microeconomics and the Law of Demand
as reviewed in the Khan Academy videos are a simple enlightening of the business cycle. The
descriptive teaching and evolving facts of real life cause and effects in the cycle of business
production and supply are an exquisite piece of material. The concepts relation to
microeconomics are demand, markets cost and price, they are listed in true relation to the area s
they occupy in analysis of the mathematical formula of how they are defined in economic
literature and explanation. Through each cycle of change they apply to business production. The
concepts role is used to identify economical factors that allow adjustment in areas that may affect
revenues in put and out put or Short run or Long run, margins cost and market distribution tied to
overall success. In the form of efficiency and growth, if a solid understanding is applied using a
structured fiscal plan with total cost, resources cost, production cost, market and demand will
provide an upper hand in preventing fiscal self destruction. The mathematical approach and visual
graphing, price vs. quantity of production will provide a stopping point for the companies buyer,
providing reason for limitations as the identifier to prevent probable revenue/cost inflation or loss.
As identified above Demand, Marketing and Price are categorized as microeconomics, due to the
cause and effect they share in relation to one another. If there is a

Herman Melvilles A Utilitarian View Of The Monitor s Fight
Herman Melville s A Utilitarian View of the Monitor s Fight was a part of a collection of poems
from the book titled Battle Pieces and Aspects of the War, published in 1866. It was the first
book of poetry written by Melville. According to authors Geoffrey Sanborn and Samuel Otter, It
is a great anti war poem, one that in its focus upon warfare as the expression of industrial power
could be said to lay the groundwork for an anti war tradition of poetryin English that would reach a
kind of pinnacle in Wilfred Owen s Dulce Et Decorum Est (Sanborn and Otter, 2011). The war

warfare through air superiority. This has been achieved through advancement in aircraft
technology and stealth warfare. Hence, the United States has approximately 13,000 military

Visual Analysis of the Hall of Supreme Harmony
Forbidden city is the imperial palace of China for many decays since the Ming dynasty. The
imperial palace was not only the home for the emperor but also the conference hall and
workshops for the emperor and his subjects. The Forbidden City is divided into two parts, the
outer part and the inner part. The outer part of the city is to the public and the inner part is where
the emperor and his family lived. The Hall of Supreme Harmony, Taihedian, is the first of the three
halls in the Forbidden Citywhere the emperor sees his subjects. Yongle, one of the Ming emperors,
first built the Hall of Supreme Harmony in 1427.1 In both Ming and Qing dynasties there were
twenty four emperors held the enthronement ceremony in this hall. Because of many reasons such
as fires that the Hall of Supreme Harmony was under many times of construction. The building that
visitors see today is not the original from the Ming Dynasty. The Hall of the Supreme Harmony
follows Chinese philosophies such as Confucianism and Taoism into structures, setting, and
symbols. The Hall of Supreme Harmony has unique structures. Some parts of the architecture of the
Hall of Supreme Harmony are based on the Confuses philosophy called Confucianism.
Confucianism is the ideology that created the Son of Heaven, a person is given the right by heaven
to rule China, which has the equivalent meaning to the Mandate of Heaven. By the ancient Zhou
ritual that the Ming and Qing emperors rigidly conformed, prescribed that the

Analysis Of The Poem Cousin Kate And A Woman s Lover
The pre 20th century poems Cousin Kate and A woman to her lover written by Christina Rossetti
and Christina Walsh, both explore the presentation of women. Similarly, both poems are unique due
to it being written in the 1800 s, as women were controlled and dominated by men in that society.
The narrative poem Cousin Kate by Rossetti, explores the themes regret and jealousy. The poem
itself is a dramatic monologue written in first person by Rossetti, presenting the history of a cottage
maiden with a Lord. It was written during the 1800 s where social status was considered
important, women were inferior to men and sexual intercourse out of wedlock was frowned upon
greatly. In the first stanza we learn that the persona got betrayed and was simply a cottage maiden.
She reveals that she was hardened by the sun and air , portraying how strong she is and how hard
she worked.
Conversely, through the use of the phrase sun and air Rossetti foreshadows the ending son and
heir . This play on words shows how the cottage maiden revealed that even after having her son out
wedlock with the Lord, he would still be inheriting his wealth and land. Moreover, through the
quote contented with my cottage maidens , she shows how happy and satisfied she was with how
her life before the Lord entered it. Portraying how much the affair with the Lord affected her and
how much she lost in result of it. Additionally, the cottage maiden was modest and humble but she
was fair demonstrated by

What Does The Fire Symbolize In Fahrenheit 451
The story of Fahrenheit 451 is about a firefighter in the future, Montag, whose job is to burn
books. After a few weeks, his life makes a big turn, changing his view of life, books and almost
everything. Fire is mentioned many times in the story and symbolises different things like feelings.
In the book Fahrenheit 451, the author ray Bradburyuses fire to symbolise death, time and safety.
The first is death. Montag steals and reads books, so when he is caught and forced to burn his
own home, he also burns his boss, Beatty. The fireman chief yells at Montag for reading books
and wanting to make a change. So Montag turns the hose on him, causing Beatty to die. his death
was brutal, however it didn t last long: And then he was a shrieking blase, a jumping, sprawling,
gibering manikin, no longer human or known, all writhing flame on the lawn as Montag shot one
continuous pulse of liquid fire on him (113). The fire in this part of the story causes death. ... Show

In the story, Faulkner depicts Emily as a woman who suffers from several from several years of
heartbreak and despair. Ranging from the emotional abuse of her father, to the rejection of her
lover, Homer Barron. As far as her character, Emily s appearance resembles a small, fat woman in
black whose skeleton was small and spare (Beers and Odell 721). Faulkner also describes her as
bloated, like a body long submerged in motionless water and her eyes looked like a lump of coal
pressed into dough (Beers and Odell 721). These character qualities symbolize Miss Emily s
personality as well as her physical appearance. Emily s personality presents as tiresome, and bitter
because of the damage she inflicts in her lifetime. Moreover, when the contemporary officials of the
town visit Emily, she lectures to the new leadership that she has no taxes in Jefferson and finally
insists on their dismissal by her house servant, Tobe (Beers and Odell 721). Emily s impolite
behavior traces back to her personality and the devastation it ensues over the years. Furthermore,
Jack Sherting argues that Faulkner, through his narrator, is obviously describing a psychotic
personality; accordingly, Faulkner depicts Emily as a character that has extreme mental health
issues through character qualities.
To conclude, the exhibition of modernism effectively shapes William Faulkner s story, A Rose for
Emily, through the usage

When one thinks of comics, who are the first names that come to mind? Many will tell you, Stan

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment

A majority of the characters in the novel experienced war first hand and suffered dire
consequences. Jake, the protagonist, was sterilized during the war leaving him to not be able to
have intimate relations with Brett. Brett, on the other hand, ignores social norms and has
several romantic relationships. She can not seem to settle down and the reason for this is due to
the war and all of the emotional baggage that went along with it. Several of the characters seem
to forget who they truly were and this can explain their lively social scene. A majority of the
book takes place in bars, restaurants, or at parties. The characters are metaphorical wandering
around trying to remember who they were before the war. World War I took away several
character s livelihoods and left them to try to consolidate their lives. War has not changed its

Chris Kyle, is a skilled Navy SEAL and was the most lethal sniper in American history.
Throughout the film, Kyle experiences the horrors of war and soon returns to the homeland. When
he returns, he has a severe case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and has a hard time

Kurt was an artistic child since the beginning, he would constantly draw and sing and play on a
small drum set. At age eight Kurt became more hateful toward all people because he felt that he
didn t fit in anywhere, and that feeling only amplified when his parents divorced. I remember
feeling ashamed, for some reason, ashamed of my parents Kurt explained in a 1993 Guitar
World interview. Divorce wasn t a common thing at the time, people just didn t split so Kurt felt
that he couldn t even face some of his friends at school anymore. He so desperately wanted the
typical family life so he resented his parents for quite a few years after that. He quickly became
depressed and withdrew himself from anything family oriented. He caused trouble at home which
resulted in being kicked out by his mother. This caused more issues with his home situation leading
him to be shifted among aunts, uncles, and even friends because after a few weeks in each place
everyone wanted him to leave.
Things didn t get any easier for Kurt as the years went on. His interest in people and outlook on
life kept rapidly declining. His social influences and interests migrating towards the older kids
that were known as the scum or low lives of the school. At twelve kurt was getting wasted at his
first rock concert. My friend and I were taken by his sister to the show in Seattle, and on the way

The soundtrack has received critical acclaim from numerous reviews and was a best seller,
selling millions of copies of the soundtrack alone to anxious listeners. The songs helped set the
pace of the movie and made a good movie into an excellent movie. Some of the favorite songs
from the soundtrack include The Battle, Elysium, and the favorite Now We Are Free. Mixing a
combination of soft melodies and ballads, with battle waltzes, the soundtrack covered all ground
and provides future composers the groundwork for future war epics. While Hans Zimmer gets most
of the credit and praise for Gladiator s score, he could not do it alone without Lisa Gerrard, who
co composed the score and provided the vocals. This soundtrack was so well received that it was
nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award for best score, and won a Golden Globe
for best original score. Compared to other action films, Gladiator is hard to top. As a reviewer of
the soundtrack, Roko Zaper, said Gladiator, By the very nature of the film itself, the score to
Gladiator is perhaps hard to grasp for some, but in it Zimmer and Gerrard have created a score
that transgresses its genre and brings the music into an unforgettable arena, an Elysium of drama if
you will. As Zaper said, Gladiator separates and goes past any other action soundtrack. Gladiator s

The Book Of Bauqua Summary
The Biography of Baquaqua: An Analysis of the Importance of the Conversion to Christianity in
the Liberation of Baquaqua This historical study will identify the important aspect of liberation
and Christianity conversion that is defined in the Biography of Baquaqua. In Baquaqua s arrival in
New York and, eventually, Boston, it becomes apparent that he receives strong support from
Baptist religious groups that want to liberate him from slavery. The Abolitionist Movement in the
United States provides an example of Baquaqua s conversion to Christianity, which made it
possible for him to become a freeman after many years of being abused as a slave. In many cases,

that freed slaves during the mid 19th century. Baquaqua s story provides evidence of the
important role of the American Free Baptist Movement providing educational, financial, and
transportation assistance to Baquaqua in order to escape the bonds of slavery. The role of Mr.
Jones and R. Mr. Judd provide accurate examples of the influence of the Baptist faith on
Baquaqua, which inspired him to convert to Christianity in Haiti. However, the implicit bias of
Christian influence on Baquaqua may be questionable during his stay in New York and Boston,
yet the more concrete example of R. Mr. Judd s influence on Baquaqua seems to confirm the
conversion process as part of the liberation of Baquaqua from slavery during this time of his life.
In this manner, evidence taken from the primary source of Baquaqua s narrative provides a deeper
understanding of the impact of Christian abolitionist movements in the liberation and freedom of
former slaves during the 19th century. The Biography of Baquaqua defines the important role of
Christian missionary groups and abolitionist organizations that made it possible to combat the
atrocities of slavery through Baquaqua s own experiences as a free slave in New England and in

The Portrayal Analysis Of Know Your Rights By The Clash
Know Your Rights by The Clash is a song that criticizes the oppression that poor and working
class people face. This song takes a sarcastic tone and goes over the three basic rights that
everyone has. It becomes very clear that the rights The Clash references are bogus and part of a
rigged system. The Clashreleased Know Your Rights in 1982. The 1980 s, in England where this
band was based, was a time of major social and political revolution. The Clash s music reflected
this, primarily producing music about revolution and the working class. The Clash s defining
elements were their punk rock, passionate, and enthused sound. They are now known as one of
the founding punk rock legends. Know Your Rights sound and message went a long way in terms
of empowering the audience; young adults, poor and working class people, revolutionaries. One of
the most important steps in advocacy is telling a story that will resonate with the desired audience.
Telling a story can be used across all the media realms, providing your audience with content that is
packed with utility, seeded with inspiration, and that is honestly empathetic, is what draws an
audience then, but also incites them to action (Hadley Chapman 9). Know Your Rights tells the
story of how people of traditionally view lesser socioeconomic classes rights are riddled with
injustice and oppressive stipulations. A few months before The Clash released Know Your Rights,

Favor Of Abolishing Juvenile Court
Proponents of abolishing juvenile court claim that all crimes should be treated the same and
children are no exception. They also claim that because a punishment is supposed to fit the crime
teenagers who have committed high level crimes deserve to be tried as adults. Another popular
claim is that the adult court system lowers juvenile recidivism. What these individuals fail to see is
the psychological trauma that adult courts have on adolescents. Instead of being tried as adults,
children should be tried in juvenile because children s brains are not fully developed, there are
flexible sentences, and juvenile courts allow for more rehabilitation. First, children do not have the
necessary brain development to comprehend the court... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Proponents of the abolition of juvenile court fail to realize that even teenagers do not have the
emotional development to fully understand what is happening. According to Robin Nixon,
adolescents have an entirely new set of intense emotions which makes rational decision harder. She
reported, Part of the limbic system, the amygdala is thought to connect sensory information to
emotional responses. Its development, along with hormonal changes, may give rise to newly
intense experiences of rage, fear, aggression (including toward oneself), excitement and sexual
attraction (Nixon). These intense emotions cause adolescents to act irrationally. To say that
teenagers have the emotional stability and maturity to be tried as an adult is preposterous. There
are many problems that arise when a child is tried in adult court. These issues surface as
emotional breakdowns, a lack of remorse, and even aggression. The harsh environment of an adult
court does not mix with a child s emotional needs. Emotional breakdowns stem from nervousness
and guilt while a lack of remorse stems from younger children failing to understand what they did
and aggression is an automatic response to what is happening around these children. Instead of
treating them as adults, the justice system needs to keep the juvenile justice court in order to give
these children a fair trial and rehabilitation. Second, children should be tried in juvenile court
because of the flexible

Definition Of The Assertive Discipline Model
Lee Canter was born in 1947. Lee Canter made the assertive discipline model this is also known
as an approach for classroom behavioral management for practitioners to use to control
behaviour. The approach involves a high level of controlled teaching in the day to day classroom
life. this approach is also known as the take control approach for teaching, as is allows teachers in
the classroom to take control in a classroom using a positive attitude. It allows teacher to do this as
it sets rules and directions that are clear for practitioners to use within the setting. These rules and
directions will give practitioners the knowledge to know what is appropriate and un appropriate
behavior, the practitioner will therefore be able to help the children understand what kind of
behaviour is expected form students when they are in school. This approach is used to have a
better understanding on how adult s affect children s behaviour, to do this they will have to
show an assertive response by showing clear discipline. Example of how to show this would be
to have rules set in place and consequences for if these rules are not followed or if negative
behavior is shown by students. These consequences are clearly explained to the children and
young people that are in the setting so they will know what will happen if they do not follow the
rules. The setting will be promoting positive behavior to the children in their care, the adults will be
role model in showing the children in what

Building Codes Analysis
The practice of building codes is to ensure the safety, structural stability and health. Through the
years many codes have been imposed to fix problems have occurred in the construction of the
building or after it been constructed. Building codes are interpenetrated different depending on the
location it s being built. This is due to local officials of the area who have the power to change
codes or arrange than to meet the requirement for the area. The reason every country, state, and the
city have their own way to interpenetrate codes differently is because the buildingmust adapt to the
surrounding area. When the architectbeing designing a set of drawing not only does he or she has
to meet all the requirement for the building itself but the requirement needed to build in the area.
For example, a building in Colorado and a building in Florida will have different codes in place
that give the building many characteristics. One code that would be different is frost line this
mean how depth the ground doesn t freeze in the winter. Since Colorado tend to be very cold in
winter reaching low temperature the frost line will be deeper than Florida that stays warm all most
all year. According to Allen, E., Iano, J. (2013). Local code officials regulate accredited
laboratories and testing facilities to develop safe, cost effective, timely construction methods. With
the help of local official testing new method of construction allow architects to develop a new...

However, before he became the revolutionary figure that he is most known for today, Cartier

Chocolat Gender Roles
Women have often been perceived as a weak individual in society. Being able to transform and
break through from traditions is tremendously critical for women. In the film Chocolat, gender role
plays a massive component in the story line. It can be told through the main character Vianne
Rocher, feisty mother Armande, battered wife Josephine Muscat, and widow Madam Audel. Each
one of this character has their special way of demonstrating their genderrole throughout the movie.
Vianne Rocher and her daughter Anouk travel to a quiet French village that strictly follows to
tradition, as led by the village mayor, Comte Paul de Reynaud. Upon their arrival, the villagers
were just starting their forty days of Lent. Vianne found the landlord Armande to open a chocolate

Vianne disclosed that she does not go to church. This angers Comte Paul de Reynaud because he

be concluded that Pepsi has been a strong competitor to Coke and that throughout history they
have been performing at comparable rates. Each has a similar background and customer base,
but there are some differences between the two companies and their individual performance
overall. It is clear that Pepsi holds a major stake in the market and is somewhat ahead of Coca

of both. Coke is wildly popular and is considered an American institution, but many seek
different tastes and this is where Pepsi has been taking some of the market share as some
consumers opt for Pepsi as their choice of beverage. Both companies represented in the graphs

Analysis Of The Dark Side Of The Eyes Of Man
Dashing through the luscious green undergrowth, the prey enters my vision. The animal evades me
entering through the cloudy mist. With the mugging humidity my skin begins to perspire. I roll up
my sleeves on my outgrown leather jacket up my arms with great difficulty. Reappearing into my
vision, I draw nearer to my prey. I swiftly draw back my bow and a burning sensation finds its way
into my muscles as the tension of the bowstring throughout my hunt increasingly menaces me.
Whizzing through the mistthe arrow strikes the unaware creature dead in between his deep blue
eyes. After I retrieve the arrow, I carefully bundle up my prize into my burlap sack.
Sharp piercing shouts, belonging to my elder brothers, blare throughout woods. Following the
sound of his voice, I navigate through the fog to find the source of clamor. I bumble past branches
as I awkwardly lug my game in my hefty bag. Upon finding them, Peter calls my attention to the
most majestic composition of nature ever beheld by the eyes of man. The Great Conductor s
glorious touch perfectly aligning all aspects of this spectacle. Radiant beams of light illuminate the
masterpiece. Beautifully detailed shrubbery outlines the painting. Warm, vibrant blue water
cascades off the carefully chiseled cliff and into a pond teeming with life and activity. The waters
of Eden left flawlessly untouched.
As I draw back out of my trance I can see the expressions of amazement written on the faces of my
brothers.

Is Undocumented Alien Illegal Immigration Really A...
When it comes to anything about conflict in immigration there is always a huge debate. There are
two sides to every story and both make very good supportive arguments. Some with very
compelling statistical reports. But which are true? That s for you to decide. Is undocumented alien
illegal immigration really a national problem? Honestly, I don t believe either side. There is no
definite completely correct reports out there. Both sides exaggerate the data to make it more
compelling. But regardless they both sides have very good arguments. One argument is Immigration
helps to determine the bargaining leverage of the American workers... If you use a form of labor
recruitment that bids down the cost of labor, that leaves you to a society where a small number are
very, very rich, nobody in the middle, and everyone is left scrambling for crumbs at the bottom.

Basically that means, with all the undocumented workers it takes away the labor rights to legal
citizens. Driving they re bargaining rights for a higher wage increase to nothing because everyone
is replaceable. Which then in turn makes the rich richer, and makes the middle class slip into
poverty. Leaving more and more people fighting for livable wages, housing, and a decent life.
The other argument is They never take into account the contributions that undocumented
immigrants make.... It would be an economic and social disaster for 11 million people to pick up
and leave.... Without immigration labor, it would almost

Teleologists Vs Deontological Decisions
Journalists who work with sensitive topics constantly have tough moral decisions to make. Not
only do they have to worry about the concrete actions they take, but they must also consider the
fallout of their actions. To put it simply, they need to make teleological or deontological decisions.
Teleological arguments consider the fallout of one s actions, for better or for worse, while
deontological are based on one s duties and do not concern the effects of them. When dealing with
this rapescenario, one where a high profile suspect raped a woman whose name was released by the
press, both teleological and deontological arguments can be made.
A teleological argument that could support the release of the victim s name could be that the public

People hold their identities close to them and can be defensive with them. Many citizens hold the
anonymity of their vote to a high standard, so one can imagine the protection rape victims have
with their identity. If a journalist publishes the name of a victim, unwanted repercussions may
come to her.
That action of avoiding a bad fallout may sound like more of a teleological argument at first, and it
isn t wrong to assume that it is; it concerns what may happen after the fact. But, again,
deontological arguments deal with someone s duties. While seeking the truth and reporting it is
probably a journalist s biggest duty, they must do that while also minimizing harm, perhaps their
second biggest duty. Reporting the name isn t worth it for the victim nor the journalist.
To me, the against arguments are the most convincing and ones I align myself with personally.
Unless a victim of rape wants to go on the record, he/she should be granted full anonymity. There s
simply too much pressure on victims to go on the record on an extremely stressful tragedy; they
don t owe their identity to anyone, including

Precision And Accuracy Lab Report
Determining the Density of a Polystyrene Sphere with Precision and Accuracy
Abstract: The objective of the lab is to determine the volumes of the polystyrene spheres with three
different measuring tools: Water Displacement, Analytical Scale, and Triple Beam Balance Scale.
The experiment is meant to help understand the concept and application of precision and accuracy
in experimental measurements. Accuracy is a measure of how closely the results of repeated
measurements are to the true value of what is being measured. Precision is the variability in the
results from the repeated measurements, and how close the repeated measurements were to one
another. In this lab, the method for measuring the volume of the polystyrene spheres is done with
the previously stated tools: Water Displacement, Analytical Scale, and Triple Beam Balance Scale.
The standard deviation for the entire classes volumes and masses are recorded to determine the
densities.
Introduction: Accuracy and precision were the major aspects of the lab. Accuracy is how close the
average of the measured values are to the actual value. Precision is the closeness of repeated
measurements. In the lab, the aim was to get as close as possible with both accuracy and precision
when determining the mass and volume of the spheres. The mass was determined by weighing the
spheres on the Analytical Scale and Triple Beam Balance Scale. The volume is determined by
measuring with a ruler and by water displacement. The standard

America s Future
The future of U.S. students education in math and science.
The future of math and science in the United States is on a slow rise to the progression of our
nation s education. Currently in today s world the United States is still falling behind other foreign
countries, as stated by the PEW research center (DeSilver, Drew). The PEW research center works
with expertise in the field of science, politics, economic, and foreign topics to provide the most
accurate information making this site reliable. The National Center for Education states that the
United States is moving at a steady speed of a one percent increase each year into developing the
education of math and science (DeSilver, Drew). With a one percent increase we need to... Show

Currently the United States spends an average of 65 dollars per student per test (Ujifusa,
Andrew). If we follow Finland and discontinue standardize testing we could save around one point
seven billion dollars each year, also stated by Andrew Ujifusa. With saving this money we can go
back to president s Obama s latest hope in hiring 10,000 STEM teachers, to help grow the United

Melody Of Love Analysis
The theme I chose is love, and I chose the early 1900s as a time period to focus on. I believe that
this is a topic worth exploring in humanities because everybody can relate to it, and people tend
to create impactful art, music, etc., in the name of love. Love can have a huge impact and play
an essential and influential role in a person s life. The reason why I chose this specific time
period is because I believe that it was a great time of romanticism. It was the beginning of a time
where people took different approaches to showcase their thoughts and feelings, especially through
art and music. The time period was also more modern, so many of the works involving loveare
relatable to people today. Melody of Love Composed by Hans Engelmann
Hans Engelmann lived from 1872 to 1914. He was a German composer who traveled to
Pennsylvania to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional pianist, as he was dissatisfied
with his life working in a mercantile office. Not much is remembered about him today, but his
music was very popular and appreciated during his time. Other songs composed by him include
Poppy Buds, Heart s Melody, Spanish Serenade, and many others. Our focus, Melody of Love,
was composed in 1903 and was meant to be played on the piano. The cultural context of the song
greatly reflects Engelmann s German upbringing, where it is customary for young boys to go
through musical training at the time. The song was very popular at the time, and

The Effects Of Cyberbullying Through The Lives For Middle...
The research experiment will study the effects of cyberbullying through the use of social media
accounts in the lives for middle school girls. A sample of 60 students was divided equally between
the control group and an experimental group. The experimental group would have to socially
disconnect from all social media sites such as, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and instant
messenger. In return, the control group will have normal access to all forms of social media. The
researcher will conduct a quantitative experiment with a randomized pretest/ posttest design. Both
the experiment group and control group will take a pretest before the semester long experiment
begins. At the end of the semester, the students will take the same... Show more content on

Purpose of the Study The purpose of the study is to see whether there is a link between middle
school students who are active on social media and cyberbullying. An in depth study will be
performed to see which, if any, outside sources contribute to cyberbullying or being a cybervictim.
Justification of the Study
As the number of teenagers logged into social media accounts increases the number of opportunities
to perpetrate or be the victim of cyberbullying also increases. A few of the main outlets for
cyberbullying are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, instant messenger, or text messages. The
term bullying has been a staple in the English language for centuries, but cyberbullying is a fairly
new term. Roberto, Eden, Savage, Ramos Salazar, and Deiss (2014) reported that 74% of teenagers
have an account on at least one social media site, but all social media site require a minimum age of
13 years old. In reality, 7.5 million Facebook accounts are operated by someone under 13 years old,
and 5 million accounts are operated by a child under the age of 10 (Roberto et al., 2010).
Cyberbullying give a new spin to bullying; therefore, the number of individuals affected by either
type of bullying, especially middle school aged are increasing. Whether it is traditional bullying or
cyberbullying, it cannot be taken lightly due to the consequences. In several cases, students who are
a victim of cyberbullying feel humiliated in school

Ada Solution Manual
This п¬Ѓle contains the exercises, hints, and solutions for Chapter 1 of the book Introduction to the
Design and Analysis of Algorithms, 2nd edition, by A. Levitin. The problems that might be
challenging for at least some students are marked by ; those that might be difficult for a majority
of students are marked by .
Exercises 1.1
1. Do some research on al Khorezmi (also al Khwarizmi), the man from whose name the word
algorithm is derived. In particular, you should learn what the origins of the words algorithm and
algebra have in common. 2. Given that the official purpose of the U.S. patent system is the
promotion of the useful arts, do you think algorithms are patentable in this country? Should they
be? 3. a. Write down driving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
6. Prove that if d divides both m and n (i.e., m = sd and n = td for some positive integers s and t),
then it also divides both n and r = m mod n and vice versa. Use the formula m = qn + r (0 ≤ r n)
and the fact that if d divides two integers u and v, it also divides u + v and u в€’ v. (Why?) 7.
Perform one iteration of the algorithm for two arbitrarily chosen integers m n. 9. a. Use the
equality gcd(m, n) = gcd(m в€’ n, n) for m в‰
Ґ n 0. b. The key is to п¬Ѓgure out the total number
of distinct numbers that can be written on the board, starting with an initial pair m, n where m n
≥ 1. You should exploit a connection of this question to the question of part (a). Considering
small examples, especially those with n = 1 and n = 2, should help, too. 10. Of course, for some
coefficients, the equation will have no solutions. 11. Tracing the algorithm by hand for, say, n =
10 and studying its outcome should help answering both questions.

Solutions to Exercises 1.1
1. Al Khwarizmi (9th century C.E.) was a great Arabic scholar, most famous for his algebra
textbook. In fact, the word algebra is derived from the Arabic title of this book while the word
algorithm is derived from a translation of Al Khwarizmi s last name (see, e.g., [KnuI], pp. 1 2,

Source Selection Evaluation Paper
The Source Selection Evaluation Plan acts as a guide for the agency s contracting team like that of
the Technical Evaluation Plan. The choice of which configuration to utilize relies upon the
intricacy and cost of the proposed venture and contract. A straightforward contract would utilize a
technical evaluation plan while a more perplexing and costly venture may require a lawfully
controlled source selection evaluation plan.
The reason for the source selection evaluation plan is to depict the procedure for assessing
recommendations from bidders. It records and characterizes each colleague s parts and obligations
and in addition the set of accepted rules that each colleague is considered responsible. Likewise, the
arrangement gives a fair minded ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, there are other important factors that the federal government insists that contracting
officers evaluate in the selection process. The contracting officer must decide if the cost/non cost
criteria is either significantly more important that cost or price; approximately equal in importance
of cost or price or significantly less important than cost or price (Compton. 2010, p.113). Vendors
are informed of the results after the contract has been awarded. There are circumstances in which
the performance, reliability, and quality of the end product are the most important aspect of the
project and cost at that point is no longer the main focus. There are five categories that the
government uses for the specific project in order of importance. These categories are: Technical
approach and management plan, quality assurance, past performance, key personnel and corporate
experience (Compton, 2010, p. 127). For the security fence project, it is suggested that the
categories be ranked accordingly: with letter A being the most important category and letter E being
the least important.
A.Technical approach and management plan This involves the proper planning and preparation
involved to effectively execute the project and ensure its success. It takes into account any mishaps
or unforeseen instances that may

New Deal Outline
It all started on a day called Black Tuesday, which was on October 29 1929. On this day, the
American stock market crashed after years of upward growth. The Great Depression was one of the
darkest times in American history. It was a frustrating time for all Americans. For one thing, there
was the government not doing enough at the start of the event. The unemployment rate was
ridiculously high because there was not enough money to hire people. According to PBS, more than
3.2 million Americans were unemployed. Race in the Great Depressionwas a rising issue. African
American citizens were getting tired of the lack of rights that they had, so civil rights leaders
started fighting back by speaking up. Overall the New Dealwas an important part... Show more

Racism was also a big problem during the Great Depression, but was not addressed as much as it
should of, because of the main issues of the Great Depression. The NAACP came in with anti
lynching laws, which was a no brainer to say that the laws should be made, but they were not until
later dates. The NAACP led the civil rights act for a long time in the early twentieth century with
anti lynching laws, segregation in schools, and overall human rights.
In conclusion, the New Deal saved the great depression after failing the first try. It was successful
because of organization, deals and most of all, a great president named Franklin Delano Roosevelt,

Analysis Of The Breakfast Club
Brian Johnson, or the Brain, in the movie The Breakfast Club, possess thought processes evident in
Piaget s Formal Operational Period stage in his theory of cognitive development. During Piaget s
Formal Operational Period, people begin to apply their mental operations to abstract concepts in
addition to concrete objects; their thinking is hypothetical, systematic, reflective and logical
(Weiten, 448). Brian asks himself existential questions like Who do I think I am? Who are you?
Who are you? as he brainstorms Mr. Vernon s assignment for the students in detention; these
thoughts are abstract. His thoughtprocesses are also logical since he s extremely intelligent; being
part of the math, Latin and physics club requires some advanced thinking skills. Additionally, he
understands how concrete applications like engineering stem from abstract concepts like
Trigonometry. He also reasoned that if he took a class like Shop that dopes take, he could pass
that class easily to maintain his GPA; such reasoning requires complex thinking. Finally, his
thinking is reflective, especially when he ponders the permanence of the Breakfast Club s
friendship and describes how he steps outside himself to analyze what he sees. Unfortunately, when
he observes himself, he s highly critical and despises his true self; he possess a highly negative
view of himself, labeling himself a failure, eventually leading to suicidal thoughts and actions.
Brian represents the Conventional Level of

Analysis Of The Book Stalingrad The Fateful Siege...
Stalingrad: The Fateful Siege 1942 1943 is book written by the British military historian, Antony
Beevor. Stalingrad covers the Battle of Stalingrad during World War II. Stalingrad was a city in
Russia where Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union fought for control. This was part of Adolf
Hitler s plan to crush the Soviet Union and extend his Third Reich into Russian territory. The
battle lasted from August 1942 to February 1943. However, the battle ended up with the
destruction of the entire German 6th army and with a victory for the Soviet Union. Beevor has
won three awards for this book. I wish to give brief summaries of the five sections of the book and
give reviews on their main content. The book is broken into five sections. The first section tells the
beginning of Operation Barbarossa. This was the German codename for the invasion Russia.
Although the Germans managed to capture vast amounts of territory, the Soviet military was able
to halt the German advance. To regain the momentum, Hitler decides to proceed with the capture of
Stalingrad. In addition to gaining access to the fuel in the Caucasus Mountains from the capture of
the city, Hitler would destroy the city that bears the name of Soviet dictator, Joseph Stalin.
Personally, this was the hardest section of the book to get through. The majority of content from
this section described events that were leading up to Stalingrad. There were stories on how the
higher ups of the German and Soviet governments responded to

The Lifelong Goal Of Saint Thomas Aquinas
Ryan Comolli
Study Of St. Thomas Aquinas
Research Paper
11/23/2014
The lifelong goal of Saint Thomas Aquinas was to clearly elaborate the independence of philosophy
and theology, but at the same time show their symbiotic relationship with each other. Throughout
his life Aquinas was known as a theologian but many of his works carry strong philosophical
undertones as well. The beauty of theology is it can enlighten us through its leap of faith. Philosophy
was required to precede theology. The truths laid down from philosophy are concrete and coherent.
These philosophical truths are the shoes in which theology can walk. Without philosophy there is
no theology. Examples of this can be seen everywhere. Philosophical concepts like ... Show more

Their importance is paramount because these truths that we believe can in turn be used to create
something greater. As St. Thomas progresses through his works he builds on philosophical truths in
order to allow us to reach a greater higher knowledge. In his book the Summa Theologica Thomas
says, We must bear in mind that there are two kinds of sciences. There are some which proceed
from a principle known by the natural light of intelligence, such as arithmetic and geometry and
the like. Others proceed from principles known by the light of a higher form of knowledge:
Thus the science of perspective proceeds from principles established by geometry, and music
from principles established by arithmetic. So it is that sacred doctrine is a science because it
proceeds from principles established by the light of a higher form of knowledge, namely that of
God and the blessed (I, q. 1, a. 2). Aquinas is establishing the basis for all of theology to be built
upon. As he describes to us, there is always an action and reaction when it comes to human
understanding. In order for someone to believe, there needs to be a definitive and concrete basis
for which this knowledge is built. In the case of theology, we require the basics set forth by
philosophy to establish the existence of God. This is and always will be the quintessential step in
accepting the divine wisdom which god reveals to us. Belief in the Catholic Church and God

Installing A Wireless Sensor Network Essay
INTRODUCTION A Wireless Sensor Network or WSN is supposed to be made up of a large
number of sensors and at least one base station. The sensors are autonomous small devices with
several constraints like the battery power, computation capacity, communication range and
memory. They also are supplied with transceivers to gather information from its environment and
pass it on up to a certain base station, where the measured parameters can be stored and available
for the end user. In most cases, the sensors forming these networks are deployed randomly and
left unattended to and are expected to perform their mission properly and efficiently. As a result of
this random deployment, the WSN has usually varying degrees of node density along its area.
Sensor networks are also energy constrained since the individual sensors, which the network is
formed with, are extremely energy constrained as well. The communication devices on these
sensors are small and have limited power and range. Both the probably difference of node density
among some regions of the network and the energy constraint of the sensor nodes cause nodes
slowly die making the network less dense. Also it is quite common to deploy WSNs in harsh
environment, what makes many sensors inoperable or faulty. For that reason, these networks need
to be fault tolerant so that the need for maintenance is minimized. Typically the network topology is
continuously and dynamically changing, and it is actually not a desired solution to

How Did Ancient Greece Influence Western Civilization
The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Greece Ancient Greece influence is the cornerstone of western
civilization. Without Greece much of the world would have been delayed in discovering and
implementing philosophy, democracy, and mathematics. Ancient Greece is responsible for either
advancing or creating these concepts and may be considered the founders of western thought and
politics. Greecebrought forward philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates who expanded
boundaries of thought by presenting questions and observations through deductible reasoning.
Archimedes, Pythagoras, and Euclid brought forward advanced mathematics still currently used
and recognized today. Democracy, the foundation of western government was created by the Greeks

Hippocrates, regarded as the greatest physician of antiquity, and other physicians created a
Hippocratic Oath in which a group of professional physicians upheld a strict code of ethics
(greekmedicine.net). This is a precursor to modern, medical ethics and had a great influence on
the ideas of later physicians. Hippocrates believed that the body was made up of four liquids, or
humors , yellow bile, black bile, blood, and phlegm. He thought that for an individual to be
healthy or fight of disease, the four fluids had to be in balance inside the body. While this was
obviously wrong, it was still a prominent discovery at the time. The Greeks also contributed
heavily to biology, mainly by the work of Aristotle. He made countless observations on the
behavior and habits of the plants and animals in the world, and placed an emphasis on
categorizing them. In total, he classified 540 species and dissected over 50
(leadershipclassics.org). He also believed in the Great Chain of Being, a scale of perfection going
from the lowest creatures up to man, based on their form. His observational methods set the
standard for zoologists and biologists after him, and have been a major influence on biology for
thousands of years

The current process takes too many hours to complete the required tasks, so the new updated
system must be fast and efficient. All of Riordan Enterprise s locations will move to the new
accounting and inventory system; therefore, it must also comply with the existing technology.
Companies are recognizing that not only is the aftermarket profitable, but it also can drive
significant competitive advantage as a customer service differentiator (Kevin O Brian 2005)
An initial evaluation of accounting and inventory systems for all the Riordan Enterprise locations
is required. We need to know what software is currently in use and how effective it is. If our
evaluation determines that, the existing software is not performing all of the needed requirements
it will be necessary to upgrade them as well. Next, we will need to evaluate their existing hardware
to determine its integrity. If the hardware is also outdated, another evaluation will be necessary to
determine what will replace it. If the evaluation of the hardware determines that the existing
equipment is adequate, then we can proceed with the software upgrade. The request specifically
asks for a complete system that is faster and interrelated into all of the locations. After the
evaluations are complete a list of additional hardware will be generated and a timeline of what to
be installed / upgraded where.
The timeline will be a critical part

her 18 year old mentally handicapped daughter and having to deal with Bill who eventually falls
in love with her. Having to deal with all this affects Maddie and there are points in the play
where she snaps at Jhana for the stuff she does. We see Maddie has gotten used to all the stuff
Jhana does that when King returns home and says Jhana s real weird, eh she responds by saying
what else is new (Macleod 41) showing how she has gotten used to Jhana s antics, yet still gets
agitated by what Jhana does. Bill falls in love with Maddie and acts as a father figure to Jhana
while her father is touring in North America. Maddie is still in love with King but every time he
leaves it affects Maddie in a very negative way. King chooses his job over his familythus forcing
Maddie into a state of sadness and this is evident when she says Hold on to my perfect little girl.
(holding Jhana) You were so warm. To hell with that bed of mine that had suddenly become so big
and icy. I ve got Jhana. (Macleod 58). Maddie realizes how true of a friend Bill has become that by

Reflection Of Early Stage Dementia
I believe in tolerance, having a little more patience makes a difference. Working in the hospital
setting, I come across various people with different attitudes. Some are nice, others very rude you
can barely stand them.
In most cases, my patients are pleasantly confused. Mrs. Anderson has been on our unit for almost
two weeks, and she has an early stage dementia. Her way of getting the attention of the staff and
family members is to say I cannot breathe repeatedly for more than five times. Initially, we took
the initiative to help her out and make her as much comfortable as possible until her family
members gave us the clue to ignore her for a minute or two and she will stop.
Last Tuesday was an extremely busy day for me than normal.

But Sport is in the name DANCESPORT is what some are saying now, but many still don t accept this kind of danceas a sportyet. Ben had never been with a stranger, at least not with someone she had just met that day. And the feeling of going into the unkown, combined with the sense of being doing something perhaps inmoral, was exciting and stirred him inside completely. I never said I wanted to have sex, but if that s what you re looking for, we ll see what we can do, Ben shrugged and smiled, with a little chuckle. Of course he wanted sex, but he was just happy that she was that much into him, and he enjoyed teasing and taking advantage of that fact. I don t think you ll disappoint me. Actually, you didn t disappoint me in your office, I was just probably not in the mood for being kind. Sorry, he said. And he meant it. Analysis Of The Poem Cousin Kate And A Woman s Lover The pre 20th century poems Cousin Kate and A woman to her lover written by Christina Rossetti and Christina Walsh, both explore the presentation of women. Similarly, both poems are unique due to it being written in the 1800 s, as women were controlled and dominated by men in that society. The narrative poem Cousin Kate by Rossetti, explores the themes regret and jealousy. The poem itself is a dramatic monologue written in first person by Rossetti, presenting the history of a cottage maiden with a Lord. It was written during the 1800 s where social status was considered important, women were inferior to men and sexual intercourse out of wedlock was frowned upon greatly. In the first stanza we learn that the persona got betrayed and was simply a cottage maiden. She reveals that she was hardened by the sun and air , portraying how strong she is and how hard she worked. Conversely, through the use of the phrase sun and air Rossetti foreshadows the ending son and heir . This play on words shows how the cottage maiden revealed that even after having her son out wedlock with the Lord, he would still be inheriting his wealth and land. Moreover, through the quote contented with my cottage maidens , she shows how happy and satisfied she was with how her life before the Lord entered it. Ranging from the emotional abuse of her father, to the rejection of her lover, Homer Barron. As far as her character, Emily s appearance resembles a small, fat woman in black whose skeleton was small and spare (Beers and Odell 721). Faulkner also describes her as bloated, like a body long submerged in motionless water and her eyes looked like a lump of coal pressed into dough (Beers and Odell 721). These character qualities symbolize Miss Emily s personality as well as her physical appearance. Emily s personality presents as tiresome, and bitter because of the damage she inflicts in her lifetime. Moreover, when the contemporary officials of the town visit Emily, she lectures to the new leadership that she has no taxes in Jefferson and finally insists on their dismissal by her house servant, Tobe (Beers and Odell 721). Emily s impolite behavior traces back to her personality and the devastation it ensues over the years. This song takes a sarcastic tone and goes over the three basic rights that everyone has. It becomes very clear that the rights The Clash references are bogus and part of a rigged system. The Clashreleased Know Your Rights in 1982. The 1980 s, in England where this band was based, was a time of major social and political revolution. They also claim that because a punishment is supposed to fit the crime teenagers who have committed high level crimes deserve to be tried as adults. Proponents of the abolition of juvenile court fail to realize that even teenagers do not have the emotional development to fully understand what is happening. According to Robin Nixon, adolescents have an entirely new set of intense emotions which makes rational decision harder. She reported, Part of the limbic system, the amygdala is thought to connect sensory information to emotional responses. Its development, along with hormonal changes, may give rise to newly intense experiences of rage, fear, aggression (including toward oneself), excitement and sexual attraction (Nixon). These intense emotions cause adolescents to act irrationally. To say that teenagers have the emotional stability and maturity to be tried as an adult is preposterous. There are many problems that arise when a child is tried in adult court. These issues surface as emotional breakdowns, a lack of remorse, and even aggression. The harsh environment of an adult court does not mix with a child s emotional needs. Emotional breakdowns stem from nervousness and guilt while a lack of remorse stems from younger children failing to understand what they did and aggression is an automatic response to what is happening around these children. Instead of treating them as adults, the justice system needs to keep the juvenile justice court in order to give these children a fair trial and rehabilitation. Lee Canter made the assertive discipline model this is also known as an approach for classroom behavioral management for practitioners to use to control behaviour. The approach involves a high level of controlled teaching in the day to day classroom life. this approach is also known as the take control approach for teaching, as is allows teachers in the classroom to take control in a classroom using a positive attitude. It allows teacher to do this as it sets rules and directions that are clear for practitioners to use within the setting. These rules and directions will give practitioners the knowledge to know what is appropriate and un appropriate behavior, the practitioner will therefore be able to help the children understand what kind of behaviour is expected form students when they are in school. This approach is used to have a better understanding on how adult s affect children s behaviour, to do this they will have to show an assertive response by showing clear discipline. Example of how to show this would be to have rules set in place and consequences for if these rules are not followed or if negative behavior is shown by students. These consequences are clearly explained to the children and young people that are in the setting so they will know what will happen if they do not follow the rules. Many citizens hold the anonymity of their vote to a high standard, so one can imagine the protection rape victims have with their identity. If a journalist publishes the name of a victim, unwanted repercussions may come to her. That action of avoiding a bad fallout may sound like more of a teleological argument at first, and it isn t wrong to assume that it is; it concerns what may happen after the fact. But, again, deontological arguments deal with someone s duties. While seeking the truth and reporting it is probably a journalist s biggest duty, they must do that while also minimizing harm, perhaps their second biggest duty. Reporting the name isn t worth it for the victim nor the journalist. To me, the against arguments are the most convincing and ones I align myself with personally. Unless a victim of rape wants to go on the record, he/she should be granted full anonymity. There s simply too much pressure on victims to go on the record on an extremely stressful tragedy; they don t owe their identity to anyone, including ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Precision And Accuracy Lab Report Determining the Density of a Polystyrene Sphere with Precision and Accuracy Abstract: The objective of the lab is to determine the volumes of the polystyrene spheres with three different measuring tools: Water Displacement, Analytical Scale, and Triple Beam Balance Scale. The experiment is meant to help understand the concept and application of precision and accuracy in experimental measurements. Accuracy is a measure of how closely the results of repeated measurements are to the true value of what is being measured. Precision is the variability in the results from the repeated measurements, and how close the repeated measurements were to one another. In this lab, the method for measuring the volume of the polystyrene spheres is done with the previously stated tools: Water Displacement, Analytical Scale, and Triple Beam Balance Scale. The standard deviation for the entire classes volumes and masses are recorded to determine the densities. Introduction: Accuracy and precision were the major aspects of the lab. Accuracy is how close the average of the measured values are to the actual value. Precision is the closeness of repeated measurements. In the lab, the aim was to get as close as possible with both accuracy and precision when determining the mass and volume of the spheres. The mass was determined by weighing the spheres on the Analytical Scale and Triple Beam Balance Scale. The volume is determined by measuring with a ruler and by water displacement. The standard ... I believe that this is a topic worth exploring in humanities because everybody can relate to it, and people tend to create impactful art, music, etc., in the name of love. Love can have a huge impact and play an essential and influential role in a person s life. The reason why I chose this specific time period is because I believe that it was a great time of romanticism. It was the beginning of a time where people took different approaches to showcase their thoughts and feelings, especially through art and music. The time period was also more modern, so many of the works involving loveare relatable to people today. Melody of Love Composed by Hans Engelmann Hans Engelmann lived from 1872 to 1914. He was a German composer who traveled to Pennsylvania to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional pianist, as he was dissatisfied with his life working in a mercantile office. Not much is remembered about him today, but his music was very popular and appreciated during his time. Other songs composed by him include Poppy Buds, Heart s Melody, Spanish Serenade, and many others. Our focus, Melody of Love, was composed in 1903 and was meant to be played on the piano. The cultural context of the song greatly reflects Engelmann s German upbringing, where it is customary for young boys to go through musical training at the time. Purpose of the Study The purpose of the study is to see whether there is a link between middle school students who are active on social media and cyberbullying. An in depth study will be performed to see which, if any, outside sources contribute to cyberbullying or being a cybervictim. Justification of the Study As the number of teenagers logged into social media accounts increases the number of opportunities to perpetrate or be the victim of cyberbullying also increases. A few of the main outlets for cyberbullying are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, instant messenger, or text messages. The term bullying has been a staple in the English language for centuries, but cyberbullying is a fairly new term. Roberto, Eden, Savage, Ramos Salazar, and Deiss (2014) reported that 74% of teenagers have an account on at least one social media site, but all social media site require a minimum age of 13 years old. In reality, 7.5 million Facebook accounts are operated by someone under 13 years old, and 5 million accounts are operated by a child under the age of 10 (Roberto et al., 2010). Cyberbullying give a new spin to bullying; therefore, the number of individuals affected by either type of bullying, especially middle school aged are increasing. Stalingrad covers the Battle of Stalingrad during World War II. Stalingrad was a city in Russia where Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union fought for control. This was part of Adolf Hitler s plan to crush the Soviet Union and extend his Third Reich into Russian territory. The battle lasted from August 1942 to February 1943. However, the battle ended up with the destruction of the entire German 6th army and with a victory for the Soviet Union. Beevor has won three awards for this book. Throughout his life Aquinas was known as a theologian but many of his works carry strong philosophical undertones as well. The beauty of theology is it can enlighten us through its leap of faith. Their importance is paramount because these truths that we believe can in turn be used to create something greater. As St. Thomas progresses through his works he builds on philosophical truths in order to allow us to reach a greater higher knowledge. In his book the Summa Theologica Thomas says, We must bear in mind that there are two kinds of sciences. There are some which proceed from a principle known by the natural light of intelligence, such as arithmetic and geometry and the like. Others proceed from principles known by the light of a higher form of knowledge: Thus the science of perspective proceeds from principles established by geometry, and music from principles established by arithmetic. So it is that sacred doctrine is a science because it proceeds from principles established by the light of a higher form of knowledge, namely that of God and the blessed (I, q. 1, a. 2). Aquinas is establishing the basis for all of theology to be built upon. As he describes to us, there is always an action and reaction when it comes to human understanding. In order for someone to believe, there needs to be a definitive and concrete basis for which this knowledge is built. In the case of theology, we require the basics set forth by philosophy to establish the existence of God. This is and always will be the quintessential step in accepting the divine wisdom which god reveals to us. Belief in the Catholic Church and God ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 50. Installing A Wireless Sensor Network Essay INTRODUCTION A Wireless Sensor Network or WSN is supposed to be made up of a large number of sensors and at least one base station. The sensors are autonomous small devices with several constraints like the battery power, computation capacity, communication range and memory. They also are supplied with transceivers to gather information from its environment and pass it on up to a certain base station, where the measured parameters can be stored and available for the end user. In most cases, the sensors forming these networks are deployed randomly and left unattended to and are expected to perform their mission properly and efficiently. As a result of this random deployment, the WSN has usually varying degrees of node density along its area. Sensor networks are also energy constrained since the individual sensors, which the network is formed with, are extremely energy constrained as well. The communication devices on these sensors are small and have limited power and range. Both the probably difference of node density among some regions of the network and the energy constraint of the sensor nodes cause nodes slowly die making the network less dense. Also it is quite common to deploy WSNs in harsh environment, what makes many sensors inoperable or faulty. For that reason, these networks need to be fault tolerant so that the need for maintenance is minimized. Typically the network topology is continuously and dynamically changing, and it is actually not a desired solution to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
