Poonam Parmar reflects on how their skills and knowledge have developed from their preliminary magazine front cover task to their full music magazine product. They learned to better utilize layout, composition, typography, white space, and consistent themes to make the magazine more realistic and appealing to their target audience. Specifically, they improved at using the rule of thirds, manipulating images, creating flashers and headers, drop shadowing text, and choosing more appropriate cover lines. They also felt creating a double page spread was a new challenge that they overcame.

4. •My double page spread-Main Task (Music magazine)
•For my preliminary task I wasn’t able to create a double page spread as this was not included in the
brief, however I constructed a billboard in year 10 which I feel has helped me bring out the codes
and conventions that I have needed in order to create this one. I have learnt many things in
producing this such as my main article as I have chosen to do this as an question and answer
format, which my audience have enjoyed as this was one of my strengths that appealed to my
target audience. Creating this double page spread was a new challenge for me that I had overcome
and feel is one of my strongest pages.
