This document provides an example of a preliminary task evaluation for a college magazine. It compares the similarities and differences between the student's media product and real college magazines. Some similarities included using a masthead, cover lines, and plain backgrounds. Differences included using different target audiences, colors, and relevant information. The student also learned about various technologies used to create the magazine like Moodle, a digital camera, Adobe Design Premium, Photoshop, and InDesign. Photoshop was used to edit images and manipulate lighting, while InDesign facilitated adding images and text to the contents page.
