Social Network: The Effect
 Our topic will be the effects Social Networking has had






on students
Our target audience will be on teenagers and young
adults as the documentary is mostly aimed at students
and how social networking effects them.
Our documentary will be a balanced expository
documentary
Our documentary will consist of a voice over instead of
a presenter.
The voice over will be relatively formal.
Content
 We will be getting information from students about how

social networking has effected them and show evidence of
relative facts about social networking.
 We will use 2-3 professional interviews such as media
teachers and sociology teachers because they will have
expert views about social media and how the social
networking sites effect them and others.
 We hope to get a range of vox pops from Solihull sixth form
as this will be help us to get information from the students
about the chosen topic.
 We will use stock footage of students on computers using
social networking sites, keyboard and mouse shots being
used, and other devices such as mobile phones accessing
other social medias.
Research
 We will use a range of different ways to get information

about social networking.
 primary research - we will distribute a questionnaire
to the public on our documentary and also record a
focus group for another way of primary research and
information.
 Secondary research – we will use recent statistics and
information on social networking that provide a
reliable and factual source.
Resources
 For recording our documentary we will need: A

camera, Tripod, microphone & Headphones.
 To edit our clips we will need access to an iMac with
final cut, we will also need to use garage band to create
our none copy right music for the documentary. As
well as using this for our radio trailer.
 We will also need to use InDesign and Adobe
Photoshop on the iMac or windows PC to create our
double page spread.
