Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel
you have learnt in the progression from it to the full
product?
 In my preliminary film we didn’t do much
planning.
 The storyboard for my preliminary film was
very basic and we didn’t follow it as much
as we should.
 We also didn’t use a range of shots as we
wasn’t sure how many to use as we were
new to media.
 However in our motorsport film
 The storyboard was much more detailed
and we knew what we were doing so was
much better. We also followed our story
board more.
 In our film we used a variety of shots as we
now understand the different variety of
them and how to use them effectively.
 In my preliminary task I used the school cameras as we knew roughly how to use
them. However in my film we used our own camera. Our own camera was much
easier to use and we were more comfortable using it as it was ours. Our camera
was also much better quality than the school cameras.
 I also editing my preliminary film on premier pro which was slow to use and
difficult to understand if you are unsure with it. However with our film we used
IMovie which I found easier to use but I did have the help from Gaby as she knew
how to use it.
 During the filming of my preliminary film I had very little camera skills but
during the filming of my film I now know how to use a camera to create the right
emotion for the audience.
 I wasn’t very good at editing when making my preliminary film as I have never
used it before, however I still done it. During editing my film we had more support
and experience using it so it was much better and easier to use. I learnt a lot
during the time between my preliminary film and opening film.
 For my preliminary film we also used copy right music like we did in our opening
film, but you can still tell I have improved in the opening film. This is because in
the preliminary film you can still here the background noise as well as the music,
where in the opening film you can only here the music and diegetic and non
diegetic sounds.

 I feel this is the one section that hasn’t changed much as I feel both of my groups
were very good, apart from our friendships my have grown stronger.
 In my preliminary feel I worked with Gaby and felt like we worked really well
together both done different things to help and had no arguments.
 I also worked with Gaby in the opening film, but we also had Amber and Aidan in
our group. I feel this is group worked really well together as we all wanted to get a
good grade from the start so I knew everyone was ready to work hard on the film.
We all manage to have ago at different things in the process of making the film,
everyone helped each other when needed and we had no arguments along the way.
 In the preliminary film we didn’t have an ident as we wasn’t sure how to do one,
etc. However in our opening film e did create an ident, which turned out to be
easier to do than I thought.
 On the other hand I still feel we could of improved our ident for our opening film
as it was the first time we had done one. We could of added some animation to it
and maybe separate music that is different to the music in the opening. This way
it would have looked more professional and create another emotion for the
audience.
