EVALUATION QUESTION 3:
WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION
MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA
PRODUCT AND WHY?
DISTRIBUTION !
If there was a chance for our film to actually
manufacture there are limited distribution
companies that would help produce and advertise!
From our opening title sequence there is a narrow
selection of production companies that we would
appeal to. Realistically we would only appeal to
Independent British film companies such as
Revolver and Momentum.
OUR IDEAL DISTRIBUTOR:
Our ideal movie distributor would be Film 4, because
our film has a slight British realism twist over the
indie art house convention. We also have an
unknown cast and unknown directors. We used our
own props and local locations, which shows that
our film was low budget! Film4 are known for
distributing films for growth rather than distributing
for a big gross revenue. Just like larger distribution
companies such as 20th Century Fox and Universal,
who produce films purely for profit.
COULD WE DISTRIBUTE ON OUR OWN?
The way technology is changing in society today
leads us (the we-media) to be able to
promote/advertise online just as much as the
big companies. I could potentially promote my
film online for free rather than pay for someone
to do it for me! I could distribute it on twitter,
facebook, youtube ect. I could also enter it for
film festivals!
FILM4 OUR DISTRIBUTOR
To distribute our film we would directly
advertise to our target audience via social
media, the internet as a whole using
websites such as: IMBD, Twitter, Facebook
and Youtube. This way we can reach a larger
audience to watch our film. The more people
that watch it the more interest other film
companies will have in distributing our film.
HIDDEN
I personally think that our film has plenty of originality to it
and will attract a wide audience as it is not like typical
films now days. It will most likely recieve a large amount
of criticism as it is a sexist film (sexist towards men) and
has no male actors in it, despite the negative criticism
this means the public will be talking about our film and
want to see what people will be talking about! The key
way to promote our film will be to make an official
website for the film and also facebook fan pages and
twitter fan page too! This will allow fans to see behind
the scene footage and interviews with cast.

  • 4. COULD WE DISTRIBUTE ON OUR OWN? The way technology is changing in society today leads us (the we-media) to be able to promote/advertise online just as much as the big companies. I could potentially promote my film online for free rather than pay for someone to do it for me! I could distribute it on twitter, facebook, youtube ect. I could also enter it for film festivals!

FILM4 OUR DISTRIBUTOR To distribute our film we would directly advertise to our target audience via social media, the internet as a whole using websites such as: IMBD, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. This way we can reach a larger audience to watch our film. The more people that watch it the more interest other film companies will have in distributing our film.
  • 6. HIDDEN I personally think that our film has plenty of originality to it and will attract a wide audience as it is not like typical films now days. It will most likely recieve a large amount of criticism as it is a sexist film (sexist towards men) and has no male actors in it, despite the negative criticism this means the public will be talking about our film and want to see what people will be talking about! The key way to promote our film will be to make an official website for the film and also facebook fan pages and twitter fan page too! This will allow fans to see behind the scene footage and interviews with cast.
