What I tried to do is to make my documentary a
interview style because I think this is the best way
to inform an audience. As well as get the main
points across this was mainly based on the
documentary I looked at called the making of 76.
This meant I had somewhat of a template style I
can constantly look back to.With interviewing the
person then make footage on what they where
talking about.This style I think is the best flowing
style for a documentary therefor that’s why I used
it.
What I had noticed in my production was the
people I interviewed had 3 different personality
traits to them.This meant that everyone had
different views therefor people can relate to
these people a bit more sharing and or getting
a real overview of the university.
This did reach my target audience well (18-25)
this meant that they replied to these
characteristics quite well and gave a personality
trait that everyone could relate too.
What I can compare my work to the
most is: “the making of 76”

was a documentary of making a
game. With interviews like mine and
then clips showing the content they
made. With this comparison made
you can see the similarities even with
the way I've interviewed my subject.
Using the rules of 3rds I was able to
place the subjects in areas meaning I
can give some areas space to show
the characteristics of where they're
being interviewed.
 What I felt my film did well was create a sense of humor
between each interview.With every person I interviewed
being different in view from the last. Giving contrast and a
sense of everyone having there own person they could
relate to in the interview
 Another way was how I laid out the interviews, with the
subject being in a place where they can somewhat show
there personality with there uni room. Giving more to
what these people do at uni and maybe how they act.
 Finally my transitions from the interview to the footage I
got them talking about I felt worked perfectly showing
exsacly what the people where talking about
 One of the biggest weaknesses of my work was the parts where it
transitioned.This was made in after effects that I'm not to strong
with and think I could of improved if I just used stills instead of
trying to animate the text into the photo.This made it look really
under developed therefor more time on the animations and
transitions would have been better.
 Another thing I could of done better was getting more shots of the
city and talk more about the area therefor giving more context
 I should of got more facts about university and the student life
because my statistics where all done at the start with no other
statistics left.Therefor I should of used them more throughout
therefor having more of a constant theme and informative
purpose
 What I had enjoyed from this project the most was the
interviews and the way the content I filmed fit it.With
what the subject was talking about.
 Another thing I enjoyed was getting many different
view points on one subject having all these different
views mean the work will fit multiple people and view
points they have.
 What ill do in future projects is attempt to use more
animations in future projects to mainly save time if
time needs to be saved.

Evaluation factual

  • 2. What I tried to do is to make my documentary a interview style because I think this is the best way to inform an audience. As well as get the main points across this was mainly based on the documentary I looked at called the making of 76. This meant I had somewhat of a template style I can constantly look back to.With interviewing the person then make footage on what they where talking about.This style I think is the best flowing style for a documentary therefor that’s why I used it.
  • 3. What I had noticed in my production was the people I interviewed had 3 different personality traits to them.This meant that everyone had different views therefor people can relate to these people a bit more sharing and or getting a real overview of the university. This did reach my target audience well (18-25) this meant that they replied to these characteristics quite well and gave a personality trait that everyone could relate too.
  • 4. What I can compare my work to the most is: “the making of 76” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi8PTAJ2Hjs&t=2114s) this was a documentary of making a game. With interviews like mine and then clips showing the content they made. With this comparison made you can see the similarities even with the way I've interviewed my subject. Using the rules of 3rds I was able to place the subjects in areas meaning I can give some areas space to show the characteristics of where they're being interviewed.
  • 5.  What I felt my film did well was create a sense of humor between each interview.With every person I interviewed being different in view from the last. Giving contrast and a sense of everyone having there own person they could relate to in the interview  Another way was how I laid out the interviews, with the subject being in a place where they can somewhat show there personality with there uni room. Giving more to what these people do at uni and maybe how they act.  Finally my transitions from the interview to the footage I got them talking about I felt worked perfectly showing exsacly what the people where talking about
  • 6.  One of the biggest weaknesses of my work was the parts where it transitioned.This was made in after effects that I'm not to strong with and think I could of improved if I just used stills instead of trying to animate the text into the photo.This made it look really under developed therefor more time on the animations and transitions would have been better.  Another thing I could of done better was getting more shots of the city and talk more about the area therefor giving more context  I should of got more facts about university and the student life because my statistics where all done at the start with no other statistics left.Therefor I should of used them more throughout therefor having more of a constant theme and informative purpose
  • 7.  What I had enjoyed from this project the most was the interviews and the way the content I filmed fit it.With what the subject was talking about.  Another thing I enjoyed was getting many different view points on one subject having all these different views mean the work will fit multiple people and view points they have.  What ill do in future projects is attempt to use more animations in future projects to mainly save time if time needs to be saved.
