3. Plugs
● For my magazine I used a plug of a free poster
to be included within the magazine. This will
attract people to my magazine as everybody
loves getting free items, especially posters as
they can stick them up on their walls for
decoration. I don't include what type of poster is
going to be included to keep the audience
guessing, this may intrigue some people into
buying the magazine to see which poster they
get.
4. Masthead
● My masthead can be used to attract audiences
as it is abbreviated, people may want to find out
what it means or why it's called what it is.
● The TSH is an abbreviation but also similar to
kerrang, is a sound of a drum simple making a
'tshhh' noise.
5. Puff
● I used the puff at the top of the magazine as a
little self promotion & statement which I have
taken. I claim that my magazine is the most
rockin' magazine in the UK which will attract
audiences as they will see this and think it must
be good.
6. Photographs & Colours
● I used bright but minimal
colours to attract my
audience, the minimalistic
look gives it a smart but
trendy look.
● For the photo's, I used a
single portrait shot for the
front cover. I also used a
smaller picture of a band
performing live, these pictures
both stand out against the red
as they are quite dark and
grunge looking.
7. Price
● The price of my magazine should help attract
audiences as it is so cheap. The price of one
pound fifty is labelled at the bottom making this
magazine really cheap for such a great amount
of content, this should hopefully bring
audiences back the next week if they are
satisfied with the quality & quantity of content
for the price.
