The document summarizes a marketing campaign for a new clothing line called Paper Crown being launched at the Pretty Green store. It details the target audience based on a survey (men familiar with Pretty Green), advertising strategies (Twitter, radio, posters), release schedule (launching Twitter page first in May and ending campaign in June), and photo manipulation plans (adding a Paper Crown badge to a photo and removing the background). The goal is to raise awareness of the new product and get people to purchase the clothing from Pretty Green.
2. Survey results
I did a survey to determine my audience demographic, the social media they
use, and to see if they will be interested in my clothing
This shows
that my
target
audience is
male
My target
audience is
already aware
of Pretty
Green
My target audience
needs to be
convinced to shop
at Pretty Green
I must advertise the work to be
affordabe for someone to be able to
shop every few months
I should do
my
advertising
on Facebook
3. My target audience based on the survey
My target audience is are men who are familiar with Pretty Green however, they don’t
purchase clothing from their. So I will need to make something to try and attract
them to come and look at the clothing to buy something.
I should also make a Facebook account. However, due to recent Facebook scandal I
believe the amount of Facebook users will decrease. Also I believe Snapchat is not
very good for advertisements personally as a user. So I think Twitter is the best
option.
5. Purpose and message
The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness for the new
product Paper Crown, which is a new arrival at the Pretty Green
store. I am trying to get people to purchase the new clothing
from Pretty Green.
The clothing is supposed to describe your musical taste so I
need to use images and photos that show this.
6. My platforms I have chosen
I have chosen twitter as my social media, it may not be as popular as Facebook according to my survey
however due to the recent Facebook scandal I believe it will become less popular and twitter will become
more successful.
I have also chosen to do a radio advert as my campaign ties in with music. So people who listen to music may
enjoy my product I am raising awareness for.
I have also chosen to design a poster. I did this as Pretty Green often does this as well. So I am trying to be
like Pretty Green with there promoting.
I plan on using
these posters here
as inspiration to
make sure my
poster is similar to a
pretty green one.
7. Release schedule
The campaign will last the course of a month. I believe this is best for my product as enough hype for
clothing can be built in a month. The campaign will start in May so the campaign ends in time for summer.
The Twitter page will be released first at the start of the month. On the 1st of May.
Then the poster will be released a week later. 8th of May.
And then half way throughout the month the radio will be released. 16th of May.
The campaign will end at the beginning of June ready for Summer. On the 1st of June. This is when the
clothing will start to be sold at stores.
8. Photos used and manipulation
I took this photo a long time ago. However, I decided
to reuse it as I thought it suited the style of clothing
Paper Crown Is supposed to be about. There is also
the guitar on the photo showing the relation to music.
The manipulation of the photo I'm going to do is add
a badge of the Paper Crown on his jacket, on the left
side of his chest. I will also remove the background
using the magic wand tool, then touching up on the
edges using the eraser.
This is the badge I made, I simply made it using
the paintbrush tool. I think it is simple and the
kind of thing you'd see at Pretty Green.
