The document discusses project management tasks for a film production. It describes how the student managed people by creating call sheets and production schedules. It also discusses managing resources like cameras, booking equipment, and creating budgets. Time was managed through production schedules, storyboards, and edit decision lists. Being professional, organized, and avoiding wasted time and unproductive days also helped. Areas for improvement include doing storyboards earlier and ensuring transportation is arranged. Risk assessments and crisis planning could also be strengthened for future productions.

Managing People
By managingpeople, I had to create
documents such as call sheets. The Call
Sheets allowed my castand crew to
know what date we arefilming,and
where, alongsidewith the time.
Moreover, production schedule helped
to plan out what was to happen on the
day of shooting,so everyone knows
what they aredoing.
The people who were involved,I had to make
sure that when they were on set and that
they were being put to use. (This would be
where call sheets would come in handy)
For instance,if they were on set and not
being put to use, this would mean that I
would be payingthem for no reason.
Therefore wastingtheir time and my money.
Also,to prevent any future lawsuits,a
contributors releaseform was made, this was
to be signed by every castand crew member,
acknowledgingthe fact that they were aware
of possiblerisks thatmay have occurred on
set, etc.

Booking Form – Allowed me to outline
the equipment needed for my film.
For my filmI made sure that I knew
what resources were needed for each
shot, as well as what castmember was
needed.
Cameras were leased appropriately.
Had to make sure that everything stuck to the
schedule, and I was usingeverything
effectively, so nothing was being put to
waste.
Budget – Create a budget to make sure I
knew the individual and overall costs of
items, includingthe castas well.

Managing Time
Production Schedules helped to manage
time – Made surethat I knew what was
happeningeach day of shooting.
Storyboard – Saved a lotof time. When
it came to shooting I knew exactly where
and what I wanted to shoot, and the
type of angle I wanted. (Without this,
probably would have been filmingfor
much longer than expected) – This goes
with the Lighting Plan as well, ithelped
me to know where to put the lightingin
each shot, and location,also saving
time.
Edit Decision List– Summary of each
shots and the take’s taken in each of
those shots. For this,I had to look for
each one, and look through what to use
and what not to use. This helped when it
came to editingmy filmoverall,as it
made itsaved a lot of time, so I could
edit everything together at ease.
Lost time = Lost money
Made sure each day of shootingwas
productive, something was always getting
filmed that would help my filmmove further.

Being Professional
Being organised,gave my actors
instructions,and madesure they know
what they were doing. Made sure that I
knew what I was doing each day of
filming.
; No wastingtime, being on top of
things,made sure to followthe
schedule, booked equipment in advance
and not on the same day that I would be
actually filming.

Ensuring Progress is
Sustained
Makingsure there is transportprovided
for each shooting. Makingsure everyone
knows what they are doing, getting the
equipment set up in advance. Stickingto
the schedule.
Managing Risk
Risk Assessment, outlined possiblerisks
that may occur duringthe filming
process.– Helped to prevent them from
happeningin the future.
Risk Assessments
Managing Crisis
Outlinecrisis’s thatmay happen during
filming, this would then allowme to be
prepared in advance, as I would be able
to handlethese crisismorequickly and
efficiently.
Keeping Documentation
up-to-date and relevant
Usinga production diary to illustratemy
process throughout. Made any
amendments as soon as something
changed.
