- 5. Scroll down andchoose Edublogs Free to create a new account.
- 6. Type in ausername and email address. Scroll down.

- 9. Complete the HumanVerification and select Signup.

- 12. Your username andpassword will appear and will also be emailed to you. Click Login to go to your dashboard.

- 17. Posts are dailyentries. Click the down arrow to expand Posts and click Add New.
- 18. Type in atitle and information to be posted/blog entry.

- 20. The right sideof the Screen allows a user to choose when to publish the post. You can create a post on a Friday and it can post on Saturday!

- 29. Highlight the textyou want hyperlinked and choose the link icon.
- 30. Paste the LinkURL, choose a Target (open in a new window or not) and click Insert.
- 31. The MACUL ETLCtext will now hyperlink to its webpage when clicked from within our post.
- 32. Embed a videoclip into your post.
- 33. To embed videointo a post, click on the HTML tab.
- 34. Go to thevideo you wish to embed. For CNN video click the Share button.
- 35. Select the Embedcode </> icon.
- 36. Copy the embedcode.
- 37. Paste the embedcode into you post. You must have the HTML tab selected for this to work.
- 38. Click Publish toactivate the Post on your blog.
- 39. Other Dashboard optionsinclude loading of media to your library and adding links visible on your website.Pages are very different from posts. Pages are usually linked across the top of your website and can only contain 1 post.

- 41. Click the arrowto open up options under the Appearance heading. You could choose a different Theme (layout) or upload a custom header.We will click on Widgets and focus on those.
- 42. Widgets can bedragged and dropped into Sidebar 1 or 2 to have them post on your site.
- 43. The Text widgetallows you to paste HTML code to embed widgets found all over the internet.
- 44. After creating avoki, HTML code is provided to embed into your site. Just drag a Text widget to a sidebar and paste the HTML code. Click Save.
