 Know the key points of Engineering Institution’s

Two main changes -
Apply to all three levels of registration
1. E4 – Carry out and record CPD
2. E5 – Exercise responsibilities in an
ethical manner.
Third Edition of UK-SPEC:
 Competence E5 requires candidates to provide
evidence of how they, ‘exercise responsibilities in
an ethical manner’.
 Formal assessment of this new competence
will begins in January 2016.
 Any application scheduled for interview after this
date will include assessment of this new
competence.
Requirements :
 “Give an example of where you have
applied ethical principles as described in
the Statement of Ethical Principles on
page 33 (of UK-SPEC)”
 “Give an example of where you have
applied/upheld ethical principles as
defined by your organisation or company,
which may be in its company or brand
values.”
