Throughout the years 1861 to 1865 the American Civil War took place and it is known as
Americas bloodiest war. The cause of the Civil war was the debate between free states and slave
states over the government trying to prohibit slavery. In 1860 Abraham Lincoln became president
of the United States and ran on the platform to keep slavery out of the new unclaimed territories of
the United States. Once Lincoln became president seven southern states seceded from the Union
ultimately creating the Confederate states of Americaaccording to Civilwar.org. The reason the
Civil war was so gruesome was due to the advent of rifling within military training. Secondly the
reason for such a bloody war was the invention of the Mene ball by General Henry Shrapnel. The
mene ball was cone shaped with a hollow base. When the Mene ball would hit its target pieces of
the metal ball would disperse in every direction not only hitting its target but those around it. At
the end of the war there were 620,000 soldier deaths, 50,000 civilian deaths. There were roughly
as many deaths in this one war than all other U.S. wars combined. The films Gods and Generals
and Gettysburg will be compared and contrasted in order to show the differences between the two
films and what exactly changed between each film. The film Gods and Generals takes place right

Dr. Crabb s model integrates theology and psychology and refers to it as, Spoiling the Egyptians
(Crabb, 1977). His approach geared more to sound biblical principles and doctrine. I researched
Spoiling the Egyptians , as to, I was curious about the scripture base. Spoiling the Egyptians refers
to Exodus 12:40 42, as God watched over the Israelites as they went through the wilderness, and

The second phase consists of a process where the client and counselor share their belief system
and try to come up with a plan to recovery. The third phase actually decides on a plan of recovery.
The fourth phase consists of the client owning up to their responsibility and being held accountable
for the plan of recovery.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I agree with some of Dr. Crabb s approach to counseling, but I totally agree with Dr. Hawkins
model approach. In my opinion, portions of Dr. Crabb s approach makes Biblical counseling at the
basis of counseling. His thought process that psychology and theology goes hand in hand, gives the
Holy Spirit to work in finding a recovery plan. My pastor always says, The worse place to be is
to be disconnected for the Power Source (God). One of the strengths of Biblical counseling, such
Dr. Crabb s and Dr. Hawkins approach models is, that biblical counseling is most in line with a
one on one teaching of the Christian faith. When I first became a Christian, I learned four

How do you relate to technology? You might have been asked this question before, but even if

The form of the pancake my mother made for me every morning was always unpredictable.
Sometimes, they would come out perfectly, smooth and round with sprinkles of love blended in.
Other times, they would be mushy, uneven shapes that seemed to pile onto the plate. It was just

Often though, my mother would have to put the pancake on a paper plate for me to eat en route to
school. As I would shovel the pieces into my mouth, trying to keep my car on the right side of
