2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Remote Laboratories
Abstract The three kinds of laboratories in Indian Engineering Institutions are
Conventional (physical) Labs; Virtual (simulated) Labs and Remote labs. It is
consistent across all branches in Engineering Institutions of India that the laboratory
infrastructure is significantly underutilized due to factors such as security, timings,
number of available working days etc. In addition to this, the student touch time with
a laboratoryis significantly low because of the student to experimental set up ratio,
availability of timings and number of working days. An established remote laboratory
could hereby offer a platform which can facilitate the students to access laboratory

This reality has changed with the dissemination of remote laboratories. Sustained by
resources based on new information and communication technologies, it is now
probable to remotely control a wide variety of conventional physical laboratories.
However, most of them are intended specifically to this purpose, are rigid and only
on its utility they resemble the real ones. A substitute remote lab infrastructure
dedicated to the study of electronics is offered. Its main characteristics are, from a
teacher s perception, reusability and simplicity of use, and from a students standpoint,
an exact imitation of the real lab, facilitating them to balance or finish at home the
work started at class. The remote laboratory is incorporated in the Learning
Management System in use at the school, and therefore, may be shared with other

3. George Orwell Socioeconomic Class
As Orwell explores the concept of true tyranny, he also focuses heavily on
socioeconomic class in society. As outlined in the novel Winston reads in chapter
9 of book 2, Goldstein s purported manifesto, Orwell states that there are three
socioeconomic classes the High, the Middle, and the Low that have been present
in society forever. The Party s main philosophy is also outlined in The Theory and
Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism. Ingsoc, or English Socialism, is a political
theory that involves power. Unlike the previous governments of the time, Ingsoc
and the Party s main goals are power. We know that no one ever seizes power with
the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not
establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution
in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The
object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. (Orwell 332)... Show more

The Low cannot change their status in life as they are only treated as pawns for the
current Middle to use to aid them in uprooting the current High. After grasping
power, Ingsoc made a point of dismantling the class system in order to stop the
Middle and the Low from revolting once again. Despite the Party s emphasis on
collectivism, these three socioeconomic classes are very distinct in Oceania s society,
represented by the Inner Party, the Outer Party, and the Proletarians. The Inner Party
accounts for only two percent of the entire population and acts as the ruling class.
The Outer Party is the middle class of educated workers. Lastly, the Proletarian
constitutes of eighty five percent of the population and it is the menial working

sneakers and the power of translation. Throughout the chapter he kept with the
theme of change and the way that things can change over time. The concept of
change and shoes throughout this chapter is evident. Gladwell writes, They
expanded their focus to include not just skateboarding but also surfing,
snowboarding, mountain biking, and bicycle racing, sponsoring riders in all of
those sports and making Arwalk synonymous with active, alternative lifestyle (

7. Feudalism In Song Of Roland Analysis
Feudalism in Song of Roland
Song of Roland, the oldest major surviving work of French literature, is an epic
poem based on the Battle of Roncevaux Pass in 778 C.E. between the Franks and
the Basques. It is believed that the epic circulated in song form before it was
written down between 1040 and 1115 by Turoldus, a Norman poet. The epic
served a political role in inspiring the Frank Christian warriors during the Crusades
of the 1100 s, a series of wars against the Islamic world over the control of
Jerusalem. The center of the story is Count Roland, a Christian knight from King
Charles army, and the fight against King Marsilion and the Muslims of Saragossa of
modern Spain. Due to the time in which it was written, the epic features the social,
political, and economic system of feudalism. Feudalism was based on the exchange
of land for military service (Alchin 1) between the king and his vassals. This system
was used in Christian medieval Europe between the 9th and 15th centuries. In Song
of Roland, feudalism is portrayed through the concepts of hierarchy, rights and
obligations, and the perfect knight.
Feudalism works through a socioeconomic hierarchy that is reflected in the epic. In
Christian medieval Europe, feudalism...resembles a pyramid, with the lowest
peasants at its base and the lines of authority flowing up to the peak of the
structure, the king (Alchin 1). However, the pyramid does not stop there, as God
and the Pope, in that order, occupy positions at the top. The king claimed
ownership of all the land in the country, but he sometimes granted areas of land
called fiefs. The recipients of these areas were lords, who were men of high office.
In the pyramid, these lords were below the king and pledged their loyalty by
swearing to serve and protect [him] (Alchin 1). The lords gave some of this same
land to the subordinate rank, the vassals. The vassals, also called dukes and counts,
were men who provided allegiance and services to the lords and the king in return
for fiefs. Among the vassals were the knights, who were less powerful military men
(Alchin 1) who fought for the lords and the king. Lastly, at the bottom of the
pyramid were the peasants, who belonged to the [vassal s] land and

Abstract
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the most common
form of cancer in the United States is melanoma skin cancer (2014). It is crucial that
melanoma needs to be detected at an early stage to improve survival rates. There are
current techniques such as a dermatoscopy that can help the physician to make a
diagnosis, but it remains difficult and the need of new techniques or tools is required
to improve the physician s diagnostic abilities. According to cancer statistics, the
incidence of melanoma has doubles and been increasing steadily in recent decades

Thomas Rico was a famous actor in the 1860 s, who played the character named
Jim Crow, in theaters. Around the time that Jim Crow became popular, slave were
being free from plantations and new laws were being made in the south. These laws
were created to limit the freedom of newly freed African Americans. White people in
the south grew fond of both Jim Crow and the new laws that they started calling
these laws Jim Crow Laws. Though the African Americans were freed and had
rights, whites would use laws so they could have power over African Americans,
Jim Crow Laws were mainly found in the southern states of the the US, but could
also sometimes be found in northern states. These laws were created around the
time the 14th amendment was created in which all races had the right to vote. Jim
Crow Laws were meant to limit the freedom of Africans American. These laws
included, A black male could not offer his hand to a white man and that blacks and
whites were not suppose to eat together. An African American couldn t even look in
the direction of a white person without being punished. After these laws were placed,
the Civil Rights Act of 1866 was placed into action. The Civil Rights Act of 1875,

scientific and technical changes in healthcare delivery. To cope with these changes,
there is necessitate to prepare and train healthcare workers to improve employees
knowledge and the quality of care. Limited clinical experience with a new mode of
mechanical ventilation, such as Airway Pressure Released Ventilation mode, make its
implementation difficult in the real critical world. Adequate staff training time is
essential to improve employees knowledge and skills. Objective: To evaluate the
effectiveness of traditional lecture and scenario based learningfor training respiratory
therapists and critical care residents at Rush University Medical Center for the use of
Airway Pressure Release Ventilation (APRV). Methods: This is one group pretest and

12. The Total Budget Of The United States Essay
The total budget of the United States is $4.1 trillion. This accrues for two thirds of
the total spending budget. $1.14 trillion (33%) is spent on institutions such as
Social Security, Labor, and Unemployment. $1.03 trillion (27%) is spent on
Medicare and Health. $586.6 billion (16%) is spent on military. Veterans benefits,
food and agriculture, transportation, housing, education make up the remaining
44% of the total budget. The discretionary budget is the portion of the the federal
budget that congress must determine annually; it is targeted* at $1.23 trillion. An
overwhelmingly $625.2 billion (54%) goes towards military and defense, $74.1
(6%) billion goes towards education. $72,2 billion (6%) goes towards veteran
benefits, $66.2 billion (6%) towards government, $60.6 billion (5%) towards
Medicare and health, $41.6 billion (4%) towards energy and environment, $41.6
billion (4%) towards international affairs, $31.4 billion (3%) towards Social
Security, $31 billion (3%) towards science, $27.4 billion (2%) towards transportation,
and $13.3 billion (1%) towards food and agriculture. As a comparison, in 1900 the
total budget of the United Stateswas $1,608 million. $331.6 million (21%) went
towards defense, $228 million (14%) went towards education and the remaining 55%
was spent under the discretion of the president. From these numbers, it is clear to see
that spending on military increased greatly, while education lost percentage points.

13. The Immobilized Lipase On The Membrane
The fastness of the immobilized lipase on the membrane is crucial to the long term
use of the EMBR latterly. The plot of the desorption ratio as a function of time is
shown in Figure 7. The desorption ratio of the EMBR without using crosslinking
agent reached 63.4% within 180 min, indicating a very week interaction between the
membrane and purely physically adsorbed lipase. Therefore, the lipase can be easily
flushed away under a high shear force condition. In contrast, the desorption ratio
remained no more than 10% after crosslinking, owing to the resolution of the enzyme
leakage problem during the operation.
Figure 7
Optimization of operating condition of EMBR
For obtaining the best performance of EMR, an appropriate operating condition
should be selected. To optimize the operating condition of EMR, RSM was applied to
model the apparent enzymatic membrane activity of the immobilized lipase using
four parameters: substrate concentration (C), peristaltic pump flow rate (ОјLВ·min
1), reaction pH, and temperature (В°C). These four variables were optimized
using two 2 factor 3 level CCDs. The accuracy of the models was evaluated by the
coefficient of determination (R2). The value of R2 for designs 1 and 2 were 96.69
and 97.27%, respectively. ANOVA (Table 2, The Supporting Information) shows
that both the models for designs 1 and 2 were statistically good with a significance
level of P 1162 ОјLВ·min 1 and certain substrate concentration, the membrane
activity apparently
14. Mexico City s Sheer Size
Mexico City s history contains many different identities experienced by both the
people and government. The city s sheer size poses many challenges when it comes
to governing and representation of each individual. Often, government officials are
not elected but appointed to represent the citizens of Mexico, causing many conflicts
of interest (Perlman and Guadarrama 144 145). Mexico s history is one of constant
identity shifts. According to Mexican anthropologist Guillermo Bonfil Batalla,
Mexico has often been in opposition between two groups, those of Mesoamerican
origin and those groups with their own visions of Western civilization (Batalla 28).
Opposing views of national identity contributed to the narrative around modernization
in Mexico City. The view of modernization is one of looking to the future while
holding onto the past; being technologically innovative yet holding on to cultural
roots. In the 1960 s, Mexico s desire to become a modern nation in the eyes of the
world was therefore a stitching together of standards set by the rest of the modern
world with Mexico s always present heritage. When Mexico was awarded the
Olympics, their government took advantage of their chance to compete on a global
stage (CastaГ±eda 113). They began to take the necessary steps in preparation for
their 1968 world debut; including the creation of architecture as one such innovation;
for instance, Mario Pani s housing complex, Conjunto Habitacional Urbano Nonoalco

15. The Role Of Women During Medieval Culture
The Role of Women in Medieval Culture Women were very important in medieval
culture. They ran households, gave birth to and raised children, took care of business
when their husbands were away and much more. Women had high standards that
were placed upon them and that they set for themselves, much like the women and
girls of today. Women worked for much less than men did, even though they worked
as much if not more than men did. Noblewomen were occasionally educated. In all
women were amazing and talented and worked very hard.
Life in Medieval times was rough. There were plagues, famine and food poising,
death in the military and even execution, but women made it through. For many
peasant women life in the fields was tough. They didn t even get paid half of what
men did. But Noble women didn t have it really easy either. They still had to take
care of children and oversee the servants. Peasant women had to weave cloth and
make clothes for the family. They tended to the family gardens, where many of the
fruits and vegetables were grown. They made food and cleaned the house, looked
after livestock and also helped in the fields. Noble women ran the castle, keeping
the servants in line. They also arranged feasts and parties, made sure that the
servants were paid on time and defended the castle if the lord was away. Life in a
castle was easier than life out in the countryside but noble and peasant women alike
had many responsibilities that started early in their life.

Despite the fact that H R Block is the biggest tax firm in the world, it still has many
venues for growth. In my interview with Maria, she mentioned to me that many
people are off put by H R Block due to the high prices. Other tax preparation firms
charge anywhere from $50 $300 for a return while H R Block charges range from
$50 $700 returns. This staggering price range is the reason why many people will
risk doing their taxes with smaller and less organized firms rather than H R Block.
The reason why H R Block sets their price so high is because it backs each return
with audit protection and demands that the preparer checks every return carefully
before being sent to the IRS. Maria claimed that if more customers knew about the
unparalleled quality of H R Block s guarantees, as well as the danger and stress of
an IRS audit, many more people would do their returns at H R Block instead of at
a cheap and risky unofficial stores . In order to solve this issue, Maria told me that
she was trying to emphasize the company s guarantees to the marketing team so
they could make commercials and brochures advertising this fact of H R Block.
Americans need to consider the face that H R Block is the largest tax preparation
firm in the country. However, as Maria puts it: There is always room for

18. Causes Of Juvenile Delinquency
In order to understand the points of view on the causes of juvenile delinquency,
juvenile delinquency itself must be defined. Juvenile delinquency is criminal, or
illegal behavior that a minor participates in. The age of what it considered a minor
varies from state to state. But a minor could be as low as 13 or under, to 18 or
under; after the age that is considered a minor they could then be tried as an adult.
So, what causes a child to become a juvenile delinquent? There are five views that
help to explain why. The first is the life course view. The basic principal of this is
that even as a young child, as young as 2 and three, relationships begin to form that
will affect the child s entire life course. The next is the latent trait or propensity view.
The main point of this view is that the propensity for a child to commit a crimeis
always there but the opportunity comes and goes. The third view that causes
delinquency is the trait view. There are several parts to this view including biological
and psychological. The fourth view is socialization, that the social development can
affect delinquency. Finally, the feminist view. There are typically two points of
views; liberal and critical feminism. Juvenile delinquencymay be caused by
something different for every child but these five views gives a good idea of some
of the main causes.
The Life Course View
The life course view is an extremely influential one in what causes children to be
delinquent. In normal cases a child will learn proper behaviors that will lead them
to adulthood. Each behavior they learn should be done one after the next. But
what if one of these learned behaviors is missed or learned out of order or taught
differently than the rest of society? There are a number of ideas that cause the child
to become delinquent. The age at which they start offending is the first. The
younger the child is when he or she begins interacting with criminal behavior the
more of a risk they have to continue the path of delinquency. (Beach, 1956) In
addition to age, are the social issues a child may deal with. These are referred to as
whole; problem behavior syndrome. Unfortunately, youth that deals with one of these
things probably will deal with more of

In college, my desire for a career path in medicine encourages me to do my very

that but of course it has helped me become more interested and knowledgeable of

Being thus left to our fortunes, said Captain John Smith, as he and his men struggled
against all odds to break free from England and begin their own colonization, was the
way the Jamestown colony got along. Extremely similar to this was how the
Plymouth Plantation pilgrims felt as well. The two these groups were filled with
people who were determined to free themselves from their tyrant leaders control and
grip on them. The two groups of people had the same goal in mind, but achieved it
through different methods and went through different struggles, with few similarities
here and there, this is how it all happened. First one should know who each captain
was. The one leading the Jamestown Colonist was named John Smith and the man
leading the PlymouthPlantation pilgrims was named William Bradford. The first
differencebetween each group, was their motive behind searching for a new land to
settle in. Yes, the two desired to leave England, but there was also an interest for
both groups now that they had the opportunity to leave. For the Jamestown Colonist
this happened to be, to make money and become as rich as they could. For the
Plymouth Plantation pilgrims it was to find religious freedom. Even to this day our
generations are affected by the choices each group made. For example, most people
celebrate thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a tradition that originated from the Plymouth
Plantation pilgrims and is widely celebrated. The mark left to us from the men of

21. Summary Of A Sonata For Violin And Piano
A Sonata for Violin and Piano, is a composition work created by the distinguish
Czech composer Leos Janacek (1854 1958). In this concert report we will explore
and analyze the musical elements, and the different composition style period found in
the Violin Sonata. Also, we will share the experiences had during the performance at
the Paul Hall located in the Juilliard School.
The performance consists of several presentations by different artists, but we
would be focusing on the presentation of the Sonata and Violin of Leos Janacek,
which was performed by Max Tan (Violin) and Cameron Richardson Eames
(Piano). This particular sonata has a structure that is composed of Con moto,
Balada, Allegretto and Adagio. The style pieces is comprised of the Romantic
period from the early 20th Century. The instrument used for this presentation was a
violin and piano. One of the main causes that help in the development of the arts,
was the rough period of war in Europe. Janacek work on the sonata for nearly eight
years revising it several times, and he finally completed it in 1922. He also combined
ancient and loved folk music with modern composition techniques. Janacek
composed the Violin Sonata as a reaction to the war. His early composition, which
were mostly choral works, display various influences from composers such as
Wagner and Beethoven. This is short and concentrated work and is based on short
motives, rapid changes of tempo, and intense emotional expression. The
presentation has four parts or movements such as, Con Moto, which is passionate
and lyrical, and begins with an exciting violin solo, followed by a tense lyrical
melody accompanied by piano tremolos. During the concert you could hear the
repetition and shortness of the notes. The development of the sound was build
similar to someone been in pain, torment, and eventually started to feel release and
gain their freedom. The second movement Balada is a warm melody based on a
simple motive of folk flavor, supported by the piano broken chords. This part has a
more lyrical and calm theme. The third movement, Allegretto is a very peculiar two
minute scherzo, with a vague Russian tinge. The melody is also simple and
unexpected, with a constant

An Analyis of the Conventions of Courtly Love Within The Miller s Tale and Morte
Darthur While both Morte Darthur and The Miller s Tale display some
characteristics of a satirical approach in which human vices are attacked in a
whimsical manner through irony, comedy, and folly, they are actually quite different
in their literary genre and style. Morte Darthur , an adventurous tale with an
imaginary setting that perfectly idealizes the chivalrous knight hero and his noble
deeds done for the loveof his lady, is a classic example of a tragic medieval romance.

Within these works, neither female character feels a marital commitment, yet both
feel a strong commitment to their lovers: Guinevere to Sir Lancelot, and Alison to

commitment is also to his lover instead of his employer, who also happens to be
his lover s husband. It is important to note that lovers in both Morte Darttur and The
Miller s Tale did not necessarily refer to sexual partners, for love at that time was
not as love is nowadays (Malory 442), but to the emotional connection between two
people. At the time marriage was either an institution of convenience or a strategy
used to increase familial ties within the nobility and ruling classes; it almost never
had anything to do with personal choice or love. In fact, courtly love was typically
not practiced within a marriage. Instead it provided a means for people to feel and
express the love that was missing in their marriages, while holding on to the
financial and social advantages that the marital relationship provided. Courtly lovers
had secret, lustful trysts which tended to escalate into a mental and sometimes
physical affair. However, it was expected that once an affair began, the lovers would
be fully committed to one another, as Capellano expressly stated, No one can be
bound by a double love. Malory especially uses commitment to

History
In a nineteenth century Boston, there was a great import of books from Liverpool.
The books were not of made of magnificent physical nor written material but were
significantly appreciated by readers, librarians, and publishers. The books that were
shipped in were called Waverlys by Walter Scott. They were produced in Britain and
were shipped to the United States to be published by Wells and Lilly. These re
printings created an intense competition between publishing companies. People of all
ages were enthusiastic about the books and were competitive to make sure they got a
copy. The American reprinting of the Waverlys helped build the foundation of
American culture. Even though these books were not written in America they
changed the culture with their popularity among the people. These books became
American literature. Before Waverlys were published in the United States,
publishing in America was mainly just newspapers, almanacs, and pamphlets and
relied on Britain to send them anything fiction. However, as tariffs rose publishers
decided that they would make more money by importing one copy of a British book
and then reprinting in the United States. This shift in publishing changed the game
of the publishing world. Publishers didn t have one job anymore; they were now
wholesalers and distributors for the books they published by themselves. Now they
didn t just have a local market, they had a national market. Just before 1815 was to

How To Repair Your Concrete Walkway So It s Safe And Attractive
The walkway to your front door should be kept in good condition so it doesn t ruin
the appearance of your home. Repairing cracks is important so no one trips and falls
on your property. Falling on concrete could break a bone or cause a head injury. You
could even get sued for not maintaining your walkway properly and creating a
hazard. Here are a few tips for repairing cracks in your concrete walkway and
improving its appearance.
Fill In The Cracks
You can probably fill in small cracks yourself. Start by cleaning your walkway to get
rid of sand and dirt. Focus on getting debris and weeds out of all the cracks. You
can buy concrete crack filler in a squeeze container that s easy to use. Just squeeze
the filler into the crack and scrape off the excess, so the surface is level. Filling big
cracks takes a little more work. To get the filler to adhere properly, you ll need to
widen the bottom of the crack. With the bottom wider than the top, the filler will be
trapped in place.
Use a pick and hammer to knock pieces of concrete loose from the bottom of the
crack, being careful not to make the top of the crack any wider. You may want to

Call a concrete contractor to take a look and offer an opinion. Grinding the higher
side of the crack will make your walkway even again, and it is much less expensive
than tearing out part of the sidewalk and putting in new concrete. The contractor
can grind away all raised portions of your sidewalk so it is level and safe. The
contractor can fill in the cracks and apply a coating on the concrete to restore its
appearance, or leave that job to you. Another time you may need to hire a contractor
is when your walkway has crumbling sides. Those need to be repaired by creating a
wooden frame along the walkway and then filling it in with

her go to the store without me, but I knew I had to. The weather was nice, it was
sunny and the clouds dotted the sky. It made me feel better letting Penny go off all

Penny left I did my daily activities, but time had slipped by me. When the clock

of paper she got for her birthday. I yelped with so many emotions that had built up
inside me, and took the blue paper to unravel it. The paper said eggs, milk, flour,

29. The Model Of A Health Care Delivery System
Abstract
Roemer s model of a health care delivery system shows the different necessary
elements for a system to be successful. As health needs are the input; the system
needs resources, organization of programs, economic support mechanisms, and
delivery of services to provide the health needs output (Roemer, p 33). Able 2 is an
organization that provides services to people with disabilities. They have many
resources, but perhaps not enough to meet the health needs of every consumer.
They have well organized programs, have economic support, and can deliver
services completely and holistically to produce health as the output of the client.
The most important implication that was found in analyzing Able 2 was the need
for increased resources as they are not able to meet the needs for every client in
need of its services. Ultimately though, Able 2 is an excellent organization that
provides an array of services for those people with disabilities.
Finance Mechanisms
Economic support mechanisms are one of the major components needed in a health
care delivery system (Roemer, p 33). Without income, an organization would fail.
Able 2 is a non profit organization (NPO) and a non government organization (NGO)
in the private sector. They have been tax exempt both by state and federal taxes since
1978. Under the umbrella of an NPO, its purpose must be charitable and all revenue,
after normal expenditures, must serve the public s interest (DeMartinis, 2005). In

Sacraments are actions, and they function as rituals: they repeat gestures and words
that are meaningful to those who perceive them. Sacraments affect more than the
thoughts and feelings of participants because they have to be understood
psychologically and theologically.
There are seven sacraments in Catholicism: Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, The

Baptism is very important, in the East, it would be very difficult for a bishop to give
every baptism; the priest performs the confirmation using the chrism consecrated by
the Bishop.
In the West, there is a separation of time between Baptism and Confirmation.
Bishops give confirmation after Baptism and only when a child reaches the age of
reason. In the West, The desire to reserve the completion of Baptism to the Bishop

From 1291 1292, the Roman Church conducted Confirmation by a double anointing

Daniel Defoe s picaresque novel Moll Flanders saw the light of the day in 1722. Of
course, meticulously speaking, it cannot be called a novel in the strictest sense of
the term. The credit of being the first proper novel goes to Richardson s Pamela
which was published a couple of decades later in 1740. Moll Flandersis somewhat
deficient in psychological exploration and reads more like a narrative. Hence it
would be better to call it a rudimentary novel. However, the objective of this paper is
not to debate or discuss the qualities of a novel found in Moll Flanders. The

Theses models provide examples of behavior, for the children to observe and
imitate. Children tend to pay attention to most of the models. At a later time in the

related to nurture. Nurture means the things that us, as humans see in our
environment not something we are born with that comes natural to us. Nature on
the other hand is something that we inherit from our genetics. I agree with the
study Bandura conducted I feel as if we do have things that we are just born with,
but I feel like the things that tend to happen around us are really what influence us
and make us the way we are. I for one know that there are many things that I learned

Jehovah s Witness group. It will discuss their reasoning for refusal to accept blood
transfusions. The paper will elaborate on the best approach to offer appropriate care,
advice and education while treating patients with respect in regards to their religious

38. My Cultural Root Of My Resilience
Islam, stands as the spiritual root of my resilience. Whatever the almighty does has
a perfect meaning and he and only Him knows what he is doing. Concerning my
emotion, they have failed to provide me a deep root, I simply can not use emotion
to actually build up my resilience, however, playing on my psychological root can
support both psychological and emotional roots. Today, I can say that I am an
optimistic person. I trained my brain to actually pursue a goal whatever difficulty it
encounters, and today it works. My cultural root are based on the idea that a man is
only successful outside the household. Having this idea in mind, I have to be always
excellence and successful, even in difficult moment. I have to find positivity and if
not, I have to create way to build this positivity.
b.
In my culture, people are mainly focused on an idea based on gender. My culture
would generally tell me that I am a Man, I should not cry, I should still raise up and
fight for what I want. However, during the past two years, I have been exposed to
the idea of failing forward . This expression is based on the idea that even if I fall
most of the time, I should keep on going and keep on going. I have been taught that
overcoming situation or building resilience is a process that needs time. First, I have
to identify the situation, I have to then understand it, and then try to find a solution to
it. In this way, I tried for a long time to apply the past methods. Months after months,
39. Gases During The Holocaust
A huge number of people were killed in gas chambers during the Holocaust. The
gas they used during the Holocaust was called Zyklon B. It was packed into pipes
that would spray out of showers. Usually women and children were gassed and
they were not told it was going to happen. Many people would be crowded into a
room with many showerheads in it, being told they would be able to wash off.
However, when the doors would close, the gas would begin to pour out of them into
the air. Zyklon Breacts with the air, so everyone was killed after only a short amount
of time in the gassing chambers. It is really sad that all these people were murdered
in such brutal ways during the Holocaust. I drew a girl, curled up against a wall in a
gassing chamber
40. What Are Residential Schools In Canada
Aboriginal men and women who lived through residential schools brought the
concern of residential schools onto the public agenda.[2] Their work resulted in the
Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement, which stipulated a residential
school Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada be conducted.[2] The
commission concluded that the Canadian residential school system was established
for the purpose of separating children from their families.[2] According to the
commission, this was done with the intention to minimize the familys ability to pass
along their cultural heritage to their children.[2][3] The commission spent six years
traveling to different parts of Canada to hear the testimony of approximately six
thousand Aboriginal people who were taken away from their families and placed in
residential schools as children.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some former students made allegations of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse
and neglect.[4] The commission studied records and took testimony for evidence of
activities alleged to have occurred at residential schools, as well as the negative
effects resulting from the schools stated aim to assimilate First Nations children into
the majority culture. The matter of student deaths at these institutions and the burial
of deceased students in unmarked graves without the notification or consent of the
parents was an additional item on the
41. Doctor Moorhead And A Patient Analysis
The common characteristic of Kim s works was to make detectives notice that the
mysterious phenomenon had been just an appearance, that is, to overturn the plot.
What deserves attention here is Freud s theory of humor, which has a remarkable
analogy with Kim s strange plot. He gives an example of humor as follows: A
rogue who was being led out to execution on a Monday remarked: Well, this week s
beginning nicely. We feel a kind of humoristic pleasure here because of, according to
Freud, an economy in expenditure upon feeling. The situation that ought to drive the
criminal to despair might rouse intense pity in us; but that pity is inhibited because
we understand that he, who is more closely concerned, makes nothing of the
situation. As a result of this understanding, the expenditure on the pity, which was
already prepared, becomes unutilized and we laughed it off. Then, what does the
condemned obtain from this remark? He talks as if it was no business of his and
makes remark from another... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Heroine Stella, who had made a car accident resulting in death of the victim, has
been receiving doctor Moorhead s counseling since several months ago. Stella
confides the inside secret having impulsive aggression, and this doctor he had
sexual relations with patients several times tells her that it is a natural instinctual
drive and recommends its cancellation by killing animals or spurious suicide
(reckless driving or gambling). However, she can t get satisfied with them and kills
him at last. The tragic ending of this story that is a kind of thriller, where Moorhead
seems to represent sex drive (Libido), so does Stella death drive, is caused by that
she had believed the opinion of this doctor. She should have ignored (burned) the
theory maintaining the real existence of impulsive
42. Cause And Effect Of Pollution
The earth is 4.543 billion years old. Our ancestors have been estimated to date back
to six million years, with modern human life dating to 200,000 years ago (Reed).
The effects of humanity on earth can be exhibited by the increase of pollution within
our world. As our population begins to grow, so does our carbon footprint upon the
earth. On a more localized scale, the Central Valley is a mecca to poor air quality and
elevating pollution levels. An assortment of environmental factors increases pollution
levels. The central Valley is a mecca for the climate, natural, industrial, mobile and
agricultural components that equate to this growing problem.
Pollution, otherwise known as PM, or particulate matter, is essentially any substance
that is not made up of water. PM is most commonly made of dust, ash, smoke, fumes,
vapors and mists, emitted from a source and absorbed into the ozone. Particulate
matter that is emitted directly from a source, is called primary PM. Particulate
matter that is formed in the atmosphere by gas is called secondary PM. There are
two certified health based standards classifying particulate matter: PM10, for
particles smaller than 10 microns, and PM2.5, for particles smaller than 2.5. PM10
is made up of course dust particles. Common PM10 sources include: crushing or
grinding operations, as well as soil stirred up in our valley s vast fields, or dirt roads.
PM2.5 is composed of finer particles. Elements most commonly produced by
combustion, motor
