High School Jazz Concert Report
This concert took place on Thursday March 16, 2017 in the Atkinson Recital Hall
located at New Mexico State University in the Music Center at 7:30 in the evening.
The concert consisted of four jazz bands, NMSU jazz one and two as well Las
Cruces High school jazz band one and two. The first the stage the NMSU jazzII,
director by Pancho Romero. The first song they had played was Primera Vista
composed by Wayne Wallace . Along with the jazz band they also have a few
percussionists as well, on bongos, xylophone, and a drum set. The band also played
two more songs called Undecided arranged by Mike Tomaro/Shavers and Afro Blue

more songs and LCHS Jazz I came on to stage about played another 3 songs as well.
One the played was Called The Chicken arranged by Kris Berg/Alfred James . This
songs included a lot of saxophones solos from alto sax to baritone sax. The trumpet
also played a big part to for solo, this piece they did lot of crescendos as well as
decrescendos. It gave a more bold jazz feeling which I really enjoyed. Last but not
least the NMSU jazz I came about on the stage to finish out the concert. They had
four songs to play instead of three like the other bands. They started off with Cell
Talk composed by Sammy Nestico . This piece was a calmer piece like a modern
typical jazz piece. There was great transitions as well bold accents through the pieces.
The band ends with a piece called Uno Mas composed by Paul Lopez . This piece
was more fast tempo as well bold accents was well especially from the trumpets. It
gave me more a swing vibe it was super neat to hear. This piece was perfect

attribute to a diverse speciation of plants. There are multiple factors that determine
the assortment of species along a disturbance gradient, including competition and the
availability of nutrients, water, and light. This paper focuses on the differences in
diversity and composition of species in response to an environmental gradient. Three
parallel transects were measured along the Henderson Levee and the stems for each
species of plants were counted within sampling intervals along those transects.
Statistics were used to calculate diversity and to determine how the species changed
along the gradient. The diversity of plant species was determined to be highest at the
top of the levee for transects 1 and 3 and highest at the bottom of the levee for

Analysis of Fabulous Superlatives Concert
This may sound trite, but the concert as I saw it is best described by the name of
the band, the Fabulous Superlatives!!! On every level this was a concert I will
remember for a long time.
The ArtsQuest venue was new to me and I was impressed with the ease of finding
it, the free amble parking, the friendly staff and the great sound and seating. It is a
modern impressive structure built around the old Bethlehem Steel Works. The ruins
of the old plant are used as a visual backdrop to the new and impressive
entertainment complex. There are a couple of restaurants, and a movie theater
housed next to the concert venue. The food was very good, the serviced just great
and I d would and plan to go back.
Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives took the stage with a thunderous
explosion of applause form the sold out audience. It was evident that many folks
where their to see Marty as the primary reason for coming that evening. His band is
truly both fabulous and superlative. The line up is: Harry Stenson on drums and
background vocals; Kenny Vughan on lead and acoustic guitar; Paul Martin bass and
background vocals and Clarence the guitar accompanying Marty Stuart. Clarence is
the guitar played by the fabled Clarence White. Clarence and Roger s Rickenbacker
370/12 guitars were stars in their own right getting numerous pictures taken of them
before, during and after the show. Marty , who is a guitar collector, also owns Hank a
guitar one owned by Hank Williams Sr.

The seat rumbled in the window seat of the plane. I looked out across the wing at
the tiny men running frantically around in their orange vests. I started thinking
about where I was about to go and my palms started to sweat. Oh no I thought to
myself as I felt my body tensing. I was getting nervous although I had no clue about
how my life was about to change.
The plane began to move. We were taking off. With each minute, and each thought, I
became more and more anxious. I looked out the window. The ground moved faster
and faster, soon the gravel began to look like blurry streaks and suddenly the plane
lifted. My mind cleared and I just watched... I looked down upon the tiny little ...

While interpreting Plato s Allegory of the Cave in which is a representation that
described a narrative of the society of people in before Christ years. I realized how
there was a major comparison of people in today s society that reflected the same
prisoner traits as the prisoners that were described in the dialogue. According to
the Plato s Allegory of the Cave. It described conditions of people chained at birth
unable to function as independent individuals that were locked in a protracted dark
cave. They were allowed to rotate their necks but could not stand up unless told to
or leave the cave. Within this cave they could only watch a wall showing flash
images and objects as if the prisoners were watching a play or movies at a theater.
They believed that the pictures shown on the wallwere factual in which they were just
shadows of objects that were behind them. The objects reflected forms and puppet

and yet had not really noticed the many ways in which the director, Steven

I have always been a leader, as far as I can remember. Even among those gifted with
