The park was made a national park on October 31st 1994. There are not many ways
to get to the park. Adventurists will have to rent a car to get to to the National
Park and the Hotel. The park is the the biggest parks outside of alaska, at 3.4
million acres. The park does feel very large especially with how hot and dry it can
feel, it has gotten up to 136 degrees fahrenheit in 2012. The average high
temperature is an amazing 117 degrees Fahrenheit with a not so low of 88 degrees
fahrenheit, the month of June is not very cold. The coldest month is December
with a high of 65 and a low of 38 degrees fahrenheit. But it is a hot June day with the
temperature at around 110 degrees so it s not too hot for Death Valley. As we
continue on in our fantastic and cool car with air conditioning, we see the heat
coming up from the desert land. While we are driving through the lowest part in
the content at 282 feet below sea level, we see 3 coyotes. Coyotes, desert bighorns,
bobcats, mountain lions and mule deer can be seen in Death Valley National Park.
The coyotes could not do much because we were safe in our wonderfully air
conditioned car. After we went passed the coyotes we came up upon the highest part
in the park which is only 15 miles away from the lowest part. The highest part of
Death Valley is Telescope Peak which is 11,049. There are more adventurous people

Teenage pregnancy is a hot button issue in the United States that has lured the
attention of citizens for many years. Since its peak in 1990, teen pregnancy has
declined significantly, but is still held as the center for much controversy, especially
with recent reality television shows that many claim are glorifying teenage pregnancy
(The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, 2014; Henson,
2011). Although numbers of pregnant teens are down, certain areas continue to
struggle with this issue, and are seeking new ways to get the message across. This
case study focuses on a series of print and transportation advertisements that were
distributed in Milwaukee and Chicago from approximately 2009 through 2013
(Murray, 2013). The following study also showcases the stigmas surrounding the ads
and links relevant coursework from chapters two, three, and four via the campaign s

The key elements of this case study is the primary method of delivery (public
transportation), use of visual metaphor (showing a pregnant teen as male), and use of

The stories have their individual differences, but in the end they both argue that while

I did my project with Taylor McNeil and we decided to focus our world on
gardening. When we were assigned this project, we brainstormed some different
ideas that our world could revolve around. The first idea that we had was the
season of Fall. We thought that it would be a great idea to revolve our world
around fall because it was the season that we are currently in but then we decided
to do something different. Some of our other ideas included birthdays, recycling,
and gardens. We then narrowed it down between two choices, gardening and

Decision making is the act of choosing the best solution to a problem depending on
its value and the preferences of the decision maker. In the first part of this essay, we
will explore the Expected Utility theory and the Prospect Theory, which are
normative and descriptive approaches to making decisions with inherent risks. The
first part of the essay argues that Expected Utility Theory is a less viable hypothesis
to decision making and is fundamentally flawed compared to the Prospect Theory in
description and function. Prospect theory is a better model for decision making
because firstly, decisions are not often made objectively and can be affected by
decision weights. Secondly, individuals are not risk averse as suggested by the utility
theory, but are instead loss averse. Lastly, individuals evaluate decisions not by their
final resting utility, but instead they react dependently based on their reference point.

mark, a small sample of the starch amylase mixture is put into a well with a couple
drops of iodine to help show the change in starch. This was done because when
iodine is exposed to starch it changes color. Based on the color chart given in our
lab manuals, the reaction of the amylase to the starch solution will give the starch
amylase mixture in the iodine a yellow color to signify if the presence of solely
iodine and/or little starch depending on temperature. This means that the amylase
broke down the starch solution because its temperature was optimal. Majority of
the results came out black or dark brown therefore the amylase wasn t put in the
